UPDATE after 15 min. Lol I think the author wanted to write a full length book and she had no idea how to develop the mcs' relationship. There were so many page/chapters of unnecessary fillers. Just words and more words. After my 1st update I read 3 more chapters on the hopes something would at least warm up. I wasn't even expecting full on heat. But what I got was 1 entire chapter with the female mc and her mother, 1 entire chapter with the male mc having dinner at his friends house and another entire chapter with the female mc by herself and her mental rumblings. And these chapters kept happening since the beginning. What's the purpose, I don't know and I don't care. The author writes whatever she wants for it's her story and her book. But it wasn't what I was expecting from the title. And the drama with heroine's mother didn't reach my cold heart. I didn't sympathize with them. And I'm not sorry. I didn't think it was fit in a book with this title and blurb. But it's not my call. My only call here is call it quits. And like the female mc , a headache is pounding in my temples. The girl had a headache in every chapter. At this pace she would have a brain hemorrhage if she didn't have her head checked.
Anyway, As it didn't meet my "inner smutty goddess " expectations, I'm abandoning the boat. Now I'll read the smuttiest book I can find to erase the lousy attempt of a sex scene in this book.

I have to say I'm at 6% but it's probably almost the middle of it. We just get 3 or 4 more books as a gift. As if...Don't expect me to read anything else from this author. I hate misleading blurb and misleading title. There's no much interaction between the mcs. They are most of the time doing what they have to do: one being a college student about to graduate and the other being a professor. Beside, the inner monologue from both...sweet jesuscriste... Spare me, spare you, spare us.

And I didn't even finish this book. And this one, I'll have to. That's a pact between my friend and I. At least it just happen once in looong while. LOL

Hunter was helping his friend, Noah, move into his new house in Utah. It was cold and the streets were snow-covered. The two friends were laughing over memories of their college days. But Hunter reminded Noah that the university that hired him was very strict and he definitely should not mess with the students or faculty females! Noah was a retired rugby player, so attracting females was easy for him. Following rules was not!

On his first day of classes, Noah did roll call and Iris Paige was not in class. She was a puzzle to him since she was a senior taking freshman English for some reason. He was tired toward the end of the day and went for some coffee. As he got up to leave, he bumped into the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. After a mumbled apology, they went their separate ways.

As luck would have it, Iris was running late the next day and tried to quietly enter the room. The Professor was the one she had run into and spilled his coffee the day before, after skipping his class completely that day! She was not off to a good start. But she would definitely have to resist the attraction to him.

Noah knew something personal was bothering Iris, but she wouldn’t talk about it. The other professors didn’t have details either. But he was determined to help her, whether she wanted that help or not. The trouble was, would he cross the professional propriety line or not along the way? Was he willing to put his desperately needed job in danger? And willing to risk Iris’ expulsion from school?

This was such a well written book! The story line grabbed the reader from the start. Both of the main characters have deep issues they are struggling with, and the reader is led to care about both of them. All of the characters are well fleshed out and very real people. It’s not a matter of blame, but of brokenness that doesn’t completely heal. It takes strength and hope to overcome these tragedies and get past them. I definitely recommend this book. It’s not a boy-meets-girl light romance; it’s so much more and so worth reading!

Naughty Professor - A Standalone Teacher Student Romance by Claire Adams and a Forbidden Romance

Noah is an ex-rugby player who reinvents himself as an English professor at PHU. Teacher-student romances are strictly forbidden and Noah knows he's in deep trouble when he bumps into the beautiful Iris. Iris is a senior college student who has to repeat freshman English because she’d failed it while trying to help her alcoholic mother. Iris takes her gorgeous English professor Noah up on his offer of a place to stay during spring break while her apartment building is being fumigated and loses her virginity to him. Even though a relationship between Noah and Iris is forbidden, they can't stop seeing each other. When Noah phones Iris, she tells him “You’re going to get us both in trouble if you start calling me,” and he replies “Some things are worth the trouble.” What happens when Iris' roommate and frenemy Bailey finds out that Iris lost her virginity to Noah? Will their forbidden relationship still be worth the trouble?

Naughty Professor is funny, angsty, suspenseful, steamy and full of twists and turns. Claire Adams combined an entertaining story with likeable characters for a book I could not put down. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book. Working at a college you understand that this can happen and it really can ruin the career/life of both parties involved.
Iris is a senior who just wants to graduate and move away from Utah. She is tired of taking care of her mother who won't stop drinking and she can't push away the feelings that something is "wrong" with her that her father didn't stay or show her love. In order to graduate she needs to complete Freshman Comp which she failed.
Noah is a former Rugby player who is now a college English professor. He has moved to Utah to begin his career as a professor and try to put his rugby career and the "secret" behind him. But that is easier said than done. Miles the Dean wants him to help his rugby team and Noah needs to try to put his womanizer reputation behind him as well. Even his best friend keeps reminding him that he can't get involved with a student.
When Iris ends up in Noah's class can their attraction be denied? And what happens if they decide to act on their attraction? Can Noah find some peace with iris? Can iris finally find someone who won't let her down?
This story will have you turning the pages to see what happens.

I enjoyed this story! The characters really made this story for me. Iris is a senior student that has had a hard time trying to help her alcoholic mom while also getting good grades and graduating on time. It did cost her to fail an freshman English class that she is now retaking her last semester. Noah is a new professor and he is teaching her freshman English class. Noah and Iris run into each other, literally before classes and Noah is drawn to her from that moment. Iris shows up in her class and doesn't make the best first impression after skipping Syllabus day and then showing up late. Noah makes a bit of an example of her and so they are not on good terms and both fighting their attraction. The Dean of the campus has made a point to fire and expel teachers and students for just rumors of them sleeping together. I thought the story was well written and a great length. We got to know the characters and see them interact and get to know each other throughout the story. The sexual chemistry and tension is high the entire time and when we get to the sex it's explicit. I thought the story was really well done and flowed well with great pacing. I really enjoyed it.

Noah is moving to Utah to become an English college professor. He is more than just a professor, he writes erotic fiction and he was a professional rugby player until an injury sidelines him. Noah has always been a ladies man so being near all the young female co-eds without making his move will be very hard. He is successful until he meets Iris a senior in his Freshman English class. After meeting her, she is all he can think of.
Iris has had a hard life. Her parents have divorced and her mom became an alcoholic to a dangerous extent. Iris failed freshman English the first time because her mom almost drank her self to death and her professor said she should let nothing distract her from her future..Now she is taking the course again and she has an attitude. She skips classes and is late to classes which really annoys Noah, her professor. Then she flunks a test and he has to tutor Iris. Together the two get closer. Will their feelings get both of them in trouble? Past professors have slept with students at that school and the professor got fired and the student expelled. Will they risk their future?
This is a hot book with an older man/younger woman relationship. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Noah and Iris both pulled at my heartstrings from the beginning. I got attached to them both quickly. With all the problems Iris has had in her college years, she's finally got something to look forward to, graduation. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, he heart has another idea in mind for her life. When she meets her new professor, she's smitten, but determined to not do anything that may jeapordize her graduation. Noah is a retired rugby star that has turned into an English professor and plans on letting nothing stand in his way of doing only that. No matter how many times the jackass dean tries to persuade him to be the teams coach. When he sees Iris the first time, he realizes that there may be one thing he'd do that could jeapordize his future, take Iris as his own. After a few bumps and bruises, the unthinkable happens, Iris is expelled from school, but instead of Noah being fired, he's offered a coaching position for three times his wages as a professor. Thinks hit a rapid downhill slide for these two and it doesn't look like there's any relief in sight, or is there?

My favourite romances are student/teacher romances. Mix that with one of my go-to authors, Claire Adams, and it's sure to be a winner.

Once I started in on this one, I couldn't put it down. It was so good!

Noah is a young English professor and Iris is a college senior finishing up her degree. She has responsibilities and troubles way beyond her age, but she's mature, smart and driven.

When Iris misses the first English class of the semester and then is late for the second, Noah goes out of his way to make an example out of her and punishes her to one-on-one tutoring. It ends up being a punishment for both of them as the electricity between them positively sizzles when they are together.

The forbidden relationship issue forces them to put their attraction on hold, which just allows the sexual tension between them build to a boiling point!

Does Iris risk not graduating to be with Noah? Is Noah willing to risk his new job on a woman? He's never even wanted to settle down before. Why should he put his career at risk?

Steamy, smart student/teacher romance.

I really enjoyed this one. I thought that the flow of the writing was at a good pace. There were a couple things that had me shaking my head throughout the story but all in all it was a good quick read and very much true to life. The connection the main characters, Noah and Iris, have you can feel it from the moment they first have contact with each other and it only continues to get better as you read. There is attraction, sexual tension, heartbreak, drama and love all rolled into this story. Iris is a senior having to re-take English class in order to graduate because she failed due to taking care of her alcoholic mother. Noah is a famous Rugby player turned English Professor with a somewhat scandalous background especially for a Mormon college. This comes into play later in the story and was a good twist on things. The interactions with the Dean were well done. I really like how everything played out and all came back together in the end.

Having what feels like the weight of the world on your shoulders is never easy. Iris is an intelligent woman in her senior year of school and just needs to pass freshman English. In order to do that, she must do the work and put her living situation on the back burner. The problem is how does Iris do that to her mother who is struggling with alcoholism although she is tired of taking care of her? Noah is a former rugby player turned English professor and moved to Utah to put his secret behind him. He is warned not to get involved with a student. Will Noah and Iris deny the attraction they feel when she winds up in his class? Will they act upon their feelings? Is it possible for the two of them to find what they are each craving?
This is an entertaining read based on the reality of what could potentially transpire when a person works at a university and how lives and careers can be ruined for the people involved.

Life is hard for for Iris and now made worse when she is required to retake freshman English her senior year. After an injury, Noah retires from rugby to become an English professor. Both knew the rules, but attraction doesn't always hold out. What happens when these two give into their attraction? What happens when the dean discovers their relationship?

This book was great! You have two damaged people whom due to their parents, but believe that love isn't possible. They both dealt with the blows dealt in different ways, but when it came down to it couldn't help how they felt. Loved how despite Noah's man-whore ways previous, that he was instantly drawn to and willing to sacrifice for Iris. Despite Iris' blows from roommate, I love how she was still determined to finish her degree. Great book!

I loved this book from Claire Adams! Naughty Professor is a taboo story with heart. When Noah Webber gets a job at PHU the rules are clear, no relationships with students. He doesn't think it would be that hard, there are other available women, that is until he sees Ivy for the first time. When she shows up in his Freshman English class, the graduating senior having to repeat the class, he knows he's got his work cut out for himself. Ivy is in her final semester of college and with the added stress of her personal life she has her work cut out for herself, especially when you add in the attraction to the new English professor. The sparks are off the charts between these two and when the truth of their relationship is revealed they will have to work hard if they want a real relationship in then end. Naughty Professor is about a new freshman English professor with a history of short but plentiful relationships and a college senior struggling to graduate. Both of which work/attend a rather strict school with a heavy handed dean.
I'm not sure where the "naughty" in the title comes in, Noah's really not that bad in comparison to other alphas out there. In fact, Iris comes across a bit on the naughty side considering who makes the first move. This is a typical love story between a teacher and student. I enjoyed the alternating POV's which helped connect to both main characters. They're reactions are realistic and they're chemistry is hot! Highly recommended. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

Thoroughly Enjoyed!

I have to be honest and admit it has been quite some time since I have read a book by Claire Adams and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really liked the H Noah. I wasn't sure I was going to like him in the beginning but once he met Iris he was awesome. Iris was a really good h. She has had a rough couple of years with her parents divorce and her mom becoming an alcoholic. All she wanted to do was graduate college and move far away. That all changes when she needs to retake freshman English to graduate. Not only is she frustrated she has to retake the class she is also way to attracted to her new professor. This is a nice, sweet and sexy read. I am glad I gave it a shot! I voluntarily read an arc copy for my honest review!

Nathan is a 30 year professor who is also a closet erotica author. This is his career after his rugby career had ended due to injuries to his ACL. Iris is a 22 year old college senior who is ready to graduate and then leave town due to family issues but has yet to pass Freshman English. Iris hasn't passed this class due to her family issues and the last professor she had didn't care about what she had going on in her life at that time. This time around she has Noah as her professor. Of course they are both very attracted to each other but she could get suspended and not graduate and Noah could get fired from his job if they go forth with this said attraction. What will they decide to do? You will have to get the book to find out. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this bo

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed the story of Noah and Iris. This may have been a professor/student story line but it was written so well. It pulled you in from the beginning and made you root for the couple. They both are dealing with drama from their past. Both are extremely attracted to one another and neither want to go against the school's no fraternizing policy. They are finding that hard to do though. You will need to read this book to see how it works out for them. Not only were the two main characters great the other ones in this book lend to this great read. Loved the ending.

This was a wonderful romance, with main characters that were sweet and endearing, both had issues with relationships, coming from broken homes, one had no intention of falling in love deciding long ago that there was no point in loving anyone and the other deciding that they never wanted to have a broken heart so why even try.
The story was wonderfully written, the plot has a smooth flow to it that keeps you interested from start to finish, so if you enjoy endearing characters working hard towards something that is an unknown to them, then I am sure you will enjoy this book to.

Noah is admittedly a confirmed bachelor and playboy when he is hired as a professor at PHU. I felt a little jaded towards him in the beginning But when he meets his student Iris, I liked seeing the gradual changes in him. Their mutual attraction is forbidden but steamy, and even though I thought I knew what would happen, it still made me shake my head. I felt bad for Iris' home situation, and I was so upset at the things that happened to her. I enjoyed the story though, and I thought it was well done. Not as steamy as other romance books, but just as good a story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Naughty Professor

Iris is in the last term of her senior class in college. So when she meets her new English teacher Noah, she knows she in trouble. The school has a policy no relationship with the teachers. Can these two keep their cool,? Or throw it all away? This book includes five extra books. First extra book is called Bad Professor with Clarity and Ford. The second extra book is called Rockstar Billionaire with Owen and Nalia. Third extra book is called Beauty and the billionaire with Corsica and Penn. Fourth extra book is called Vacation with Vivian and Easton. Last extra book is called Fireworks with Cora and Brody.

By far the best professor/student novel I've read to date...and I've read plenty! Claire Adams has taken this storyline to all new heights--this is actually a novel where the interactions between characters--both primary and secondary--are so believable that you feel like jumping in and adding to the discussion. 😊There is also real emotion on display. You feel the pain and suffering right along with the characters...

Don't let this book get by you--it needs to be on your radar today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and absolutely loved it!!)❤️

The rules are made to be broken with this wonderfully written and developed story of a teacher student love affair. They both have dark pasts though that makes them think they are not meant to be loved. Once he knows in his heart that she in the one for him, he will give it all up to win her back, even if she doesn't know it. Wonderful things are bound to happen when given the chance between these two lovers. I loved this book and how the characters were portrayed. I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book.

The title and blurb for this book are misleading, Nathan is so much more than a naughty professor.

In a crowded genre this book stands out for its depth, the great writing, and the strength of the characters.

Nathan and Iris have a real connection that leads to love, despite the problems they face, and the secondary characters are so well depicted that they seem real.

I can't recommend this story highly enough.

Written in dual POV, it is touching and romantic and a real page turner

I enjoyed this book featuring a forbidden romance. He is her professor and not supposed to get involved but he can't resist. She has worked really hard to get thru school and doesn't want to risk her graduation but she can't deny the connection. You can feel that chemistry from their first interaction. I liked how the author really developed the characters and provided a solid understanding of their pasts and why they made the choices they did.

I liked the book but I felt more steam between Noah and Iris was needed and Noah's side job should have been explored a little more. Mentioning it once or twice just seemed odd and then we never got to see him work on that part. ** Potential Spoiler ** Instead of picking up work with his buddy Hunter for a bit, that would have been a good opportunity for him to dive into Jack Miller.
