First time reading this author.....
And it won't be my last. I totally enjoyed this story.
Mason was a great hero. Sexy, smarty and successful. He saw Aiden and had to have her. He was committed to her and didn't stray in the least!
Aiden turned out to be a really good heroine. Her attitude at first kinda turned me off, but it was short lived. She gave Mason a chance but most importantly, she gave him her trust which after being cheated on was hard for her.
-no cheating
-slight ow/om drama but nothing that caused a relationship problem
-no pushing away
-hot and sexy
-instalove love/lust on both of their parts
-really cute epilogue that was 6 months , then 5 years out
*I'm curious about the next book and hope and pray it's as hot and sweet as this one! That it too has no cheating.

There was basically zero angst but it's not a huge book. 150ish page I think.
There was no conflict. Just the process of these two falling in love in very short period of time.
Insta lust for both MCs.
Hero really pursued the relationship after an ONS.
He didn't judge her EVER.
Her best friend though, underneath the caring motherly nature was a judgemental bitch.
She constantly judged the hero with no apparent reason, apart from what she heard from her husband, who is the hero's employee, kept on referring to him as a dick. However throughout the book the hero has never come across as a dick to people who works for him for no apparent reason. He didn't show off his money. Rather lived a moderate life and by the sound of it respected people and law.
He may have come across as a little commanding and dominating towards the heroine, but at no point was anything forced. She has never ACTUALLY told him to back off. He would have if she did.
So I fail to see the reason why the best friend or her husband for that matter called him a dick. He even dropped in at their party to drop off a bottle of wine. Not all bosses do that.
Then she kept judging the heroine for her ONS. From her attitude it was clear she doesn't approve of heroine's ONS, and she will not further approve any future communication with the hero or the heroine having random hookups. Heroine really told her to fuck off in most polite loveable manner possible but she still didn't get it.
She also kept on setting heroine up with guys who shares distinct similarities with her ex which heroine has SPECIFICALLY told her she now wants to avoid. Heroine was quite pissed and finally called her out on it.
Her excuse: these guys matches the guys you dated before
Heroine: i told you that's what I want to avoid.
Friend: but I thought that's what you want
Heroine: you need to LISTEN to me
I of course paraphrased the above but it pretty much went like that.
There was OM/OW drama, but it's more as an annoying problem they needed to fix rather than drama. At no point did either MCs felt threatened by the OM/OW. They were very trusting to each other.
Hero was aware heroine is very attractive but I don't remember any jealous moment and he didn't have meltdowns thinking about her previous experiences.
He also didn't automatically assumed that because she treated him as an ONS she has s habit of engaging in it, and if she did it is something to be scorned upon, as a matter of fact that discussion has never arisen apart from his refusal to accept their encounters as an ONS. He has also NEVER called her any derogatory names.
Hero was experienced, however was definitely not a manwhore and there was indication he was rather selective with his liaison rather than whoring around.
Possible pet peeves: heroine not virgin, sexually experienced, with implications of a number of ONS, or it could also be dates that didn't go past first night which may or may not have been sexual, but she was not inexperienced and she was really rather forward with her own need, not a shy virgin.

Aiden agrees to a blind date only to end up catching the eye of Mason Dean instead. Her date runs late and she believe she is stood up but plans to make the best of the situation. Mason though moves in quickly and has one night with her knowing he wants more, however Aiden is not sure she does..
This was pure fun. Mason is an OTT alpha male and I thought that Aiden was a terrific compliment to him. Great book just to escape with.

Mason is my kind of book boyfriend - alpha to the max and so over protective it makes my heart swoon. Sometimes a missed opportunity turns out to be exactly what you need as with this story. Aiden may have been stood up, but it was the best thing to ever happen. This is a quick read and I really enjoyed it.

The story is insta, sweet and hot. It's a perfect quick read with some drama. Not to mention it has Mason. It's hard not to fall for hero. He's sexy and arogant. But also protective and sweet. The way he was with Aiden...

I found both characters unlikeable. She is stood up by her best friend's husbands co-worker. While she is waiting this other guy leaves his dinner meeting to sit at her table because she is so upbelievably hot that all the men are staring at her. Turns out he is the boss of the friend's hubby and the guy who stood her up?

Short story, heavy on the smut with a fast pace and a lot of insta-everything made the book a bit unrealistic.

This was a light, quick read that was heavy on the instalust and instalove. Aiden is set up on a blind date by her best friend. While already at the restaurant, she finds out that her date is working late, hence the book title, Stood Up. Mason is at the same restaurant and, not so coincidentally, is her blind date's boss. He takes a seat at Aiden's table, propositions her and they spend the night together only for her to sneak out in the morning. Not one to take no for an answer and be put off by a little reluctance, Mason pursues her and there you have the majority of the book. Chuck in other man and other woman drama to liven things up a little and you have most of the story.
The story wasn't original but you know what you're getting which makes it a mostly entertaining, if predictable, read. There were a few typos throughout that were noticeable but not horrendous apart from a your/you're mistake (which happened TWICE - sheesh. On that note, one of the errors was when Mason said "you're" and then referred to an intimate part of Aiden's body. This made laugh hard. No, you're an *insert lady part*). The author also seemed to have a few issues with comma use.
I found Mason's introduction of himself to Aiden pretty cringe worthy and personally it probably would have raised a red flag for me, but if you're someone who likes a bit of over the top, confident crudeness, this won't bother you. Aiden, of course, is immediately attracted to Mason and her girly bits go all tingly. Similarly, the dialogue and parts of the plot are over the top at times. Aiden was sassy and confident herself, not willing to put up with mediocre and I suppose Mason was portrayed as alpha but the cheese was pretty strong in parts, e.g. after being apart from Mason for a day she felt cold and just couldn't get warm like she was in his arms. Lolz.
With the other man drama, Mason is jealous and possessive and set out to make Aiden his lady. I found it leaned more towards me thinking that anyone with half a brain would have slapped him for some of his choices, especially since Aiden was pretty confident, but once they were together, he became less over the top. Their attraction was laid on thick but the author did warn of an instaromance so I could forgive it for the most part. The other man and other woman drama didn't amount to much so it had the vibe that it was chucked in there just for the sake of it, which it probably was. I do like that the author didn't bank on it and stretch it out to painful, angsty amounts.
The epilogue was cute and there's an excerpt from the next book at the end. It's on one of the background characters from this book which I had assumed would feature in another book because there were so many random, ambiguous references to said character where the author tried to give them a bit of a story themselves that it stood out in a bit of a chunky, obvious way.

This is the first book in the Billionaire Up series by Ryan Michele. I thought this book would be just okay but I have to say I friggin' loved it. Mason was the whole damn package and Aiden was a sweetheart. The only tiny thing I didn't like about this book was Aiden's name but other than that it was spot on. Aiden has been in a funk since she broke up with her ex-boyfriend who was cheating on her. Her best friend, Lila has been nagging her so she agrees to go on a blind date with a co-worker of Lila'a husband. She gets all dressed up goes to a fancy restaurant and pretty soon she realizes she's been stood up. Instead of leaving she was hungry so she decides to stay and have dinner alone and she sees a gorgeous man staring at her across the room. Mason Dean worked his ass off to start his company from the ground up and now he's extremely wealthy and successful. He's gorgeous and arrogant and his Father always told him when he finds "the one" he will know it. He noticed Aiden as soon as she walked into the restaurant and when he overhears she got stood up he decides to join her.
THE FIRST THING MASON SAYS TO AIDEN :
"I'm imagining that moan when my cock is buried inside you so fucking deep you feel me in your throat."

Aiden gets stood up by her blind date, but finds Mason sitting at her table instead. He offers her one night of their bodies coming together and she accepts. Although out of her norm, she decides to go for some fun and not anything more. Mason is shocked to find her gone in the morning and sets about finding out where she works, etc. Aiden is surprised when she gets a message from Mason asking to meet him at his office. She owns a business where she trouble shoots problems for businesses and offers fixes for them. Mason's e-mail can be taken either as personal or business so she decides to go for meet with him again to see what he wants. Mason lets her know that he wants to get to know her and not just in bed. Aiden was standoffish and gun shy since her ex-boyfriend, Greg, cheated on her. She tries to trust Mason but holds out somewhat. Mason begins to reel her in and both have baggage from their pasts try and show up and cause trouble. Aiden and Mason find themselves liking and trusting each other more and more. Aiden knows he needs to take things slow since Aiden seems to want to run. He tells her he will give her time but knows that she will eventually get there. It was a quick, easy read and I enjoyed it. There were some typos, missing words and wrong words used at times and it kind of took away from it a little bit for me.

Ryan Michele knows how to write insta-love for sure. This book was so much fun. As soon as I started reading I fell for Aiden, she is such a tough girl, has no clue what she actually holds within herself, unaware of the draw she has on everyone, she just goes about her life.
As soon as she realizes she has been Stood up she just carries, LOVED that, such a hard thing to do to accept defeat. In comes Mason - oh holy hell - from the moment there eyes meet you know you are in for a great ride. Mason of course exudes confidence and cockiness and has a mouth to back it up. I loved how much she loved the instant connection but still tried so hard to deny it. Mason is not letting this one get any he is bound and determined. The little twists this story takes gives you a bit of drama and bring out Mason's massive protectiveness. The little puzzle solver that Aiden is realizes something about Aiden and how that all comes out was awesome - absolutely LOVED IT!!

Great short read
Well I was surprised with the sudden release of this novella by Ryan. I have enjoyed her novella's because they are quick reads, instalove, and HEA's. Here's the disclaimer. This is a quick read and different from her full length novels. If you want full length then move along but if you want 'full length' that leads to a sweet HEA then grab and go read 😊💖😎
Aiden is a fun character. Even in the quick story I found myself relating to her. I could see myself doing the same thing being stood up and saying screw it I'm going to eat dinner anyway.
Mason, holy cow he's all sorts of intimidating. He set his sights on Aiden and didn't let up. I loved what he revealed after she asked about the dinner.
The only thing this book succeeded in doing to me is making me want more. I loved this short story that much! Seriously you want a quick, light, fun read check it out.

what a great read
this was a good read light entertainment funny and Holy cow sexy as fuck mason alpha dude knows what he wants and goes and gets it not caring who he stamples on in the process. Aidan shes beautiful even though she doesnt realise it wich is one of the things that mason loves about her .he watches her from accross across the room at the busy restaurant as all eye's are on her mason wants to gouge out every man's eyes from looking at whats his. Aidan is there for a blind date but gets stood up wich as it turns out mason had something to do with. like i said he always gets what he wants. ! eventually these to come together in more ways then one . and go on to live hea.. theres a bit of drama in between but mason being who he is deals with it in his own way. but all in all it was a an enjoyable read

I LOVE THAT THIS STORY HAVE THAT THING WHEN THE HERO AND HEROINE TOUCH HANDS AND IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THAT THIS IS THE ONE!
MANY JEALOUS SCENE FROM THE HERO cause the heroine’s ex come up to her and still wants her and also there’s other guy who still likes her as well. THERE ARE ANNOYING B*TCHES but only one and just a very quick appearance and goes away eventually.

This is a super fun, sweet, hot and steamy novella. It grabs you from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.
Aiden was set up on a blind date by her closest friend, when the guy no-shows. Instead of walking out of the restaurant she stays and orders food when Mason walks up and just sits down at the table with her. He sits and talks with her and talks her into coming home with him. But he gets more than he expects, but when he wakes up she's gone.
There is instant chemistry, lots of hot steamy scenes, some ex-drama, and a sweet HEA. I loved this book. If you are looking for fun, hot and sweet you will enjoy!! Happy Reading!!

I’m a super mega fan Ryan Michele; she always gives me what I’m looking for. Aidan is at a restaurant waiting for her blind date (the one she reluctant to agree to by her best friend) she soon realizes that she being stood up and she also notices that someone is watching her as she waits. Mason at dinner when he notices Aidan and he can’t his eyes off of her; he thinks she incredibly sexy and wants her because she has no idea how sexy she. This book is insta- love, hot alpha with sweet spot. I absolutely loved the 2 epilogues it gave us glimpse into their future. This is such a good short reads you must read.

Imagine dressing up to meet a blind date at an expensive restaurant and being stood up. Aiden doesn't allow that to stop her from enjoying a nice meal. She's incredibly sexy but doesn't realize it and Mason is going to let her know she will be his. This is a short hot steamy insta love book. Aiden is sassy smart fun sexy and goes toe to toe with the alpha Billionaire Mason. This book was funny, sweet, sexy and lots of fun to read. Aiden is one lucky girl to have Mason eating out of the palm of her hand. Looking forward to more in this series

Different
I found this to be different from Ryan Michele's usual tough guy and girl books. Don't get me wrong, both the hero and heroine are strong and definitely know how to stand up for themselves. As a matter of fact, Aiden does an excellent job of showing what that type of female character is like. I guess it's that the book was actually concentrated on them more than any and more sex scenes than were really needed. That's just my opinion though. I still think Ryan Michele is a wonderful author.

Short , hot and insta everything in the best possible of ways!
While there were some more " common " aspects of the book it as anything but over done and common. For example the super hot , ultra alpha billionaire.
The concept of the book was unique for me. I read a lot and this was the first book I have read where the romance started with being stood up.
I really enjoyed this book . I loved all the dynamics of each character and the way they interact with one another.

Lots of sex in this book but a good read. Mason and Aiden are such a good pair. She was sassy and fun but scared of a real relationship due to a bad one. Mason Dean was cocky and sure of himself all the way. He fell fast for her but was scared of it too. His dad always told him that when the right one came along, he would Know she was the One. I loved the fact that he committed early and never strayed from her though someone from his past tried to insert herself back in it. The epilogues at the end are really good too. I like to know what happens after my lovers find each other.
