1. Make it big in country music.
2. Get the hell out of Bell Buckle.

She was doing it. She was on her way, until Cooper Townsend landed backstage at her show in Dallas.

This gorgeous, rugged, man of few words was one cowboy she couldn’t afford to let distract her. But with his slow smile and rough hands, she just couldn’t keep away.

With outside forces conspiring against them, Cooper hires the McKay-Taggart team to protect her. Emily refuses to let Cooper get hurt because of her. All she wants is to hold onto him, but she knows the right thing to do is to let go . . .

There wasn't anything wrong with this story and I actually did enjoy reading it, but I never really saw a connection between Emily and Cooper. Their relationship just moved too fast for me and I felt like they were barely together in the book. It's a novella so I was expecting a fast paced story but it seemed like there were more pages dedicated to them apart than there were those dedicated to them as a couple and it left wanting more.

Side note: This isn't anything that affected my rating but I thought it was strange that this was part of the Crossover Collection with Lexi Blakes Masters & Mercenaries series yet the character from that wasn't a big part of this book.

“This isn’t just some guy…He could be so much more.”

Lexi Blake has come together with an AMAZING group of authors to bring us the Lexi Blake Crossover Collection. It’s pairing one of my favorites, the Masters & Mercenaries Series, with some of your beloved series from authors we all love and adore! Two different worlds come crashing together, giving fans something extremely special to read about.

Corinne Michaels’ words brings a smile to my face ever single time! Fans of her Return to Me Series are going to absolutely FREAK OUT over the release of SAY YOU WON’T LET GO, Cooper Townsend’s story. She pairs the beloved hero up with the talented Emily Young and together, these two are MAGIC! Sexy MAGIC! Even if you haven’t read Corinne’s Return to Me Series, you will fall instantly in love with our hero. He will take his place in your heart and never let go. I felt a sort of kinship to both Emily and Cooper and I have to say, not only was this entertaining with a dash of suspense, it was SCORCHING HOT and EMOTIONAL as hell. I loved every single second! Be prepared to become addicted to the likes of Ms. Michaels’ incredible storytelling!

I love Corinne's 'Return to Me' series and I was ecstatic to finally get a Cooper book! He's a guy I really loved from some of the other books in this series and he deserved to get his own hea. I only wish that Cooper's story would have been a full novel and not just a novella. I feel like we just didn't get enough of Emily and Cooper. Still, a great addition to this series!

I am a HUGE fan of the Return To Me Series. That series started off with me in tears and midway through had me married off and by the end, I was tangled in a love triangle between two brothers, but graciously, my amazing husband, Wyatt gave me a hall pass for the evening (thanks, babe. You’re the best xx).

So when I learned that we were going to get Cooper's book, I was all over that. Even if it was going to be delivered via a crossover of Lexi Blake’s M&M series. Corinne had me at Cooper.

I do admit, I don’t know much about the M&M series, but I am intrigued. Which I guess means this worked, right?

But onto Cooper and all his yummy goodness.

While through three books, Cooper played the role of a secondary character, he was charming the pants of this reader from the first encounter. A good man who didn’t have the best of luck with finding the woman he could give his heart to, and one that in turn, return his love.

Enter Emily Young. Cooper and Emily go way back, but it isn’t until their lives are in completely different places that he finally sees her. On tour, making a go at giving making music a real dream, Emily gets an unexpected visit from Cooper who is in town for an expo. A few nights of reconnecting has both reluctant to say goodbye, but their lives are heading in two different directions and the most they have to offer is a promise to see where this leads them.

But things don’t always go as planned and while Em and Cooper have their heads in the clouds, a real threat surfaces and enter the McKay-Taggart Team.

I loved this novella to bits. I loved finally having Cooper’s story and I loved being able to return home to these characters. For fans of the series, you are going to love revisiting this group and will die over that epilogue.

Corinne Michaels can deliver the feels in a major way. I do think that had this book been longer, we would have had a little more to latch onto with these two – but with a novella, you can only fit so much backstory – so you just have to sort of go with it and enjoy the ride.

Cooper lived up to everything I needed him to be. Beyond the epi being one of my favorite moments, I loved the moment with Trent, that little conversation sparked so many flashback-feels for me.

In the end, I loved the story but hate to say goodbye to these characters. I am crossing my fingers that we’ll eventually see a series of books based upon the next generation of Michaels’ characters because she writes the kinds that are impossible to say goodbye to.

So this is my third one of these today, and again, it was just OK. I'll be straight up honest and admit this had a few things against it even before I started reading it. One, I am not a fan of friends to lovers books. Add in the fact that this guy kissed (at least once) and was hung up on this heroines best friend AND the heroine was a musician, and I knew unless it was amazing I was going to struggle with it. Not to mention the connection to the M&M series was tenuous at best. I thought all these spin-off books were about the bodyguards from the M&M series? But Cooper runs a ranch and just hires a bodyguard from M&M to protect the heroine...sigh. I don't know, maybe I have this whole crossover thing confused, or perhaps I was expecting something else. *shrug*

description

So yea, this one was OK. I probably would have liked it more had I read some other books by this author that featured these characters. But then again, probably not since I got the feeling that Cooper was all hung up on Grace (Emily's BFF) in that series...not a scenario I am fond of, and it was brought up ad nauseum in this book. The writing was good though. It was super fast paced. The plot had a bit of mystery that was interesting. The characters were reasonably likable. The sex scenes were suitably hot. There was a bit of angst and no OW or OM drama. Last, it was all wrapped up in what felt like a series ending epilogue, but who knows.

Say You Won’t Let Go is a novella in the Return to Me series. It can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books at some point. Those Hennington Brothers are delicious. If you read them then you have met Cooper and Emily before. They grew up together on different sides of the tracks but you wouldn’t know it. Emily tied in perfectly with the group of cowboys and her girlfriends.

Emily was on tour, opening for the one and only Luke Berry. She was doing it. She was making a name for herself in country music. She was traveling instead of staying grounded in Bell Buckle. She missed her friends but she didn’t want to end up like her mother. Going nowhere. Fast. She was doing what she loved. What she didn’t expect was to see him. Cooper Townsend. Backstage at her concert. Looking like the manly cowboy that he is. She wondered over the years if they could ever be but he was having a hard time letting go of Grace, her best friend. Maybe he was now ready to see what has been in front of him the whole time. Her.

Cooper had to see her. He was in town and she was going to be on stage. He didn’t want to miss it. Seeing her living her dream. And when she ran into his arms backstage, he knew he made the right decision. He thought about her over the last year. More than he thought he would. He knew her. Was close to her. But he didn’t really see her until now. He wanted her and he hoped that she felt the same way.

Emily and Cooper’s relationship is tested from the beginning. She was on tour. He had a ranch to tend to in Bell Buckle. She wouldn’t give up her music. Not even for a man. He couldn’t leave the ranch. Will they be able to have a future together and live apart? And will it even come to that with the threat looming over them?

Overall...I loved this story. It’s short but has a lot of story. There are twists. Heat. Love. Suspense. The characters are strong, determined, sexy, and fun. It was awesome catching up with the Henningtons!

P.S. I need to check out Lexi Blake’s series! Wade. Yum.

Quotes:

His hand lifts with hesitation, but then he cups my cheek. “I’m more of an ‘actions speak louder than words’ kind of man.”

“I think it would be crazy if you didn’t miss me. I’ve been told that I’m a catch.”

“You know what drives a cowboy to go radio silent?”
“Pants too tight?”

I have been waiting FOREVER (or so it seems like) for this book, the very last in the Return to Me series by Corinne Michaels and a part of Lexi Blake's Masters & Mercenaries Crossover Collection! It was EVERYTHING I expected it to be....and sooooooo much MORE!

I have to say that I LOVE the Hennington boys (especially Wyatt 💖 ) but Cooper Townsend stole my heart and I don't know that I'll EVER get it back! He wants to settle down and have a family but he's been burned before, come in second place and really doesn't want to risk his heart again....until things change one fateful day! And Emily Young is the PERFECT foil for him...she's strong yet vulnerable, sweet yet feisty, and will stop at NOTHING to protect those she loves! Even if it means she has to rip her OWN heart to shreds to do it!

This is a novella that FEELS like a novel! It was so well written, filled with ANGST and suspense, sacrifice and LOVE, making me feel ALL the emotions that makes THIS the 5 STAR MUST READ book that it is! Corinne Michaels is the TOTAL package when it comes to delivering the kind of SOUL-SEARING, HEART-SHATTERING stories that make HER one of my top go-to 🦄 authors!

So so so loved this book. There's so much packed into this beautiful novella, that I was amazingly surprised about how much I was able to get out of it. So worth the read!

Cooper truly is the perfect southern gentleman, and it is slightly confusing as to how he hasn't snagged a woman yet, until you see the chemistry he has with Emily. They are just wonderful together. Emily and Cooper have known each other for many years, growing up in Bell Buckle together, and her being friends with his sister, they have this unwavering fondness for one another. They both have had secret love crushes on each other for a long while, so the sparks are flying and the permanent words they share are not surprising.

There is drama and suspense and love and friendship all rolled into one beautiful story. I reviewed an ARC from the author, and I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Must read!!

Say You Won't Let Go is Corinne Michaels' newest gem which is Cooper's story from the Return to Me series, but also crosses over with Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries! I love Corinne and I'm not gonna lie, I was so mad at her when Cooper didn't get his happily ever after. Now I love her again because she gave her fans what we asked for. MORE COOPER. And because he's just perfection, his story is everything I wanted it to be and more. He has known Emily for a long time. They have a history which includes laughs, fun and really great memories. He also has feelings for her. Real ones which draw him to find her in Texas. She left Bell Buckle to follow her dreams of being a country music singer and she's living it. When he surprises her, it's like no time has passed. They fall into an easy friendship with great conversation and fun make out sessions. But, their lives are very different. He runs the family ranch and she's making a name for herself in the music world. Even though it's a fast courtship, they know they don't want to let go. Can they make it work even though they are miles apart? What happens when danger finds Emily? I loved this story! Thank you, Corinne!! Cooper is just so sexy and smart and perfect. Emily is a firecracker who knows what she wants and doesn't want to let it go. Also, hello…Wade? Yes, please! I need to find his story! It's a fast read that I finished in one setting. I laughed, cried, got nervous and smiled. A lot.

Cooper Townsend is grade A prime meat. One I'd like to sink my teeth into.

Wade smirks. "You know what drives a cowboy to go radio silent?"

"Pants too tight."

Emily Young was finally living her dream. She’d made it out of the small town of Bell Buckle, Tennessee and onto the tour of one of country music’s biggest stars as his opening act. She was no longer the poor girl who was always hungry and relied on her friends to give her hand me downs, but a rising star who felt completely at home in the spotlight. She had everything she wanted . . . until Cooper Townsend showed up backstage at one of her concerts.

Cooper Townsend was visiting Dallas for a cattle ranching event when he realizes Emily’s performing in town. He’s known her for years as she was good friend’s with his sister. And, both he and Emily have always wondered what could have been. Their chemistry is smokin’ hot and for the first time since she left home, Emily’s thinking about the life she could have there.

While their friends to lovers romance quickly heats up, so does Emily’s professional life . . .a crazy fan has started sending inappropriate mail and gifts and even trashes her trailer. Needing to keep her safe while he can’t be there, Cooper turns to his old friend Wade Rycroft . . . ex special forces and current bodyguard working for McKay-Taggart. Together they need to keep Emily safe and find the stalker before she loses not only her music career but also the man she loves.

Say You Won’t Let Go was the first book I’ve read by Corinne Michaels. I snagged this because it was part of the Lexi Blake Crossover Connection. While it’s definitely not a McKay-Taggart book, I thought the author did a great job of including body guard Wade Rycroft to give readers that connection to Lexi’s world while staying true to her own series.

I loved Emily and Cooper as a couple. Because they were both a bit older, they knew what they wanted out of life and were willing to work and compromise to get it. They both had their own dreams for the future and it was fabulous watching them meld together to get their own unique happy ever after.

This book has lots of romance and plenty of suspense. Emily’s stalker is a true threat and adds some fantastic depth to the characters and storyline. This book, while novella length, really feels complete and gives readers a fully developed story that’s exciting and has a fantastic ending that will have you smiling from ear to ear. 5 stars.

Cooper Townsend is...WOW!!

I’ve been dying to read Cooper and Emily’s story ever since it was announced. It was so worth the wait (although I wish it was longer because he is just perfect!).

Emily is the last single girl in the crazy Bell Buckle gang...and that’s how she likes it. She’s always wanted to get out of the small town and make it big in music. Or so she thought!

Cooper is in the same town as Emily while she is touring and is a support act for Luke, the biggest country star. He watches her show and they meet up backstage and catch up.

Sparks fly and they spend the next few days together before the show moves on. They realise they want to see where this goes but know that neither of them want Emily to miss out on her dream of making it big!

In the meantime, Emily is receiving letters and flowers from her first crazy stalker! At first she thinks it’s the crew playing tricks until things become more serious and threats are made to both her and Cooper’s lives.

In steps Wade, a bodyguard that Cooper grew up with during his rodeo days (who I’m hoping will get his own book!!) and he has now hired to protect Emily whilst he can’t be with her.

The threats the stalker has been making towards Emily and Cooper escalate and Emily makes some decisions to protect them both...but are they the right ones when she knows how badly he has been hurt in the past?

I’m not going to give anything away but I loved this book. Cooper is the perfect guy and it was great to see more of him!

Cooper is a very possessive man and doesn't like others ogling his woman, “darlin’, you need to go back and change,” Cooper says as he looks me up and down." Cooper is very protective of what's his, “there’s nothing for you to know other than in forty-eight hours I’ll have you in my arms and no one will get close to you.” I liked this novella Cooper wasreally rugged.

Finally, the highly anticipated Lexi Blake Crossover Collection is here! When I found out that Corinne Michaels was writing Cooper Townsend and Emily Young’s love story, I was all over it! We met these characters in the amazing Return to Me series (who has not fallen in love with the Hennington brothers, am I right?) and I hoped like crazy that Corinne would write this story. Now it’s here, it’s LIVE today and I have to say I really enjoyed this novella.

So, Say You Won’t Let Go can be read as a standalone short story but it also belongs to the Return to Me series and, as I said, the Lexi Blake Crossover Collection. You’ll definitely see characters from both these authors in here and I have to confess, I am so curious about all of them! Now, let’s focus on Cooper and Emily. These two meet again in Emily’s concert in Dallas, the sparks that have always been there start to flow, they have some amazing and sexy times and they fall in love. But not everything is about hearts and flowers in here.. Emily has someone stalking her and Cooper is about to become an alpha trying to protect the woman he loves. Will they get their happy ending? Let’s find out!

Kissing Cooper feels like coming home. It was full of anticipation, joy, and a feeling of safety that I could just fall if I had to. Cooper was there to catch me all night.

I’m not letting go of her. I love her, and I’ll fight to the ends of the earth to keep her.

Let me say it again.. I’ve been waiting for this story since the end of the third installment of Corinne’s series and now I can say Corinne has done a pretty fantastic job with this couple! Say You Won’t Let Go was sweet, dramatic, mysterious and sexy. Emily and Cooper’s chemistry starts at the very start of the book: they get on really well, the sexual tension is there and it was surely hot when they acted on it! I do have to say, the first part felt a bit rushed in terms of the love relationship (I thought the “I love you” appeared too quickly) but with all that suspense mixed in and the sweetness between these two, I was hooked to this love story! I loved seeing this couple fight for their love and I loved their happy ending (so adorable!).

He chases away the clouds, keeps the storms at bay, and allows me to dance in his rays.

Therefore, my rating for Say You Won’t Let Go is 4 STARS because I find it a great addition to the Return to Me series and I was so happy to read how these two lovebirds fall in love. Emily and Cooper were so cute and strong together and their ending will melt your insides! Also, I was so glad to see the other characters from the series and I am now definitely curious about Lexi Blake’s characters too! So, if you are a fan of Corinne’s or you want to read an awesome novella, be sure to check this one out!

Cooper Townsend is going to ruin me for all men.

Yup, I agree with you Emily. Right there with ya girl.

YOU GUYS!!! IT'S COOPER'S BOOK!!!!!

Now, I'm going to be straight with you. I fell in love with Cooper pretty early on in the Return To Me series. There's just something about him that had me intrigued since his character first appeared. He's just so....swoon worthy :)

Now, just for a second, I'm going to divert your attention. Because I want to set the scene here. I want you to close your eyes and imagine that Corrine smashed together some of my favorite books by her to set the tone of Cooper's book. So imagine Defenseless with a side of We Own Tonight with a nostalgic throw back to Bell Buckle. And then you throw in one of her all time swoonest(yes, that's a word) heroes with a fast paced, action packed story line with a raising country star heroine? Yup, it's a winner!

After his failed attempts of finding love in Bell Buckle, Cooper Townsend is on a mission. To finally get the girl that was always meant to be his. Emily Young.

Emily was the girl that I looked at but never really saw. I'd been too scare to look. I knew if I did, she would own me, and I was right.

Emily Young is getting out of Bell Buckle. She's on tour with one of the top country artists and she can feel her big break coming. Emily had a rough upbringing and she's ready to reap the benefits of the hard work that she's put into her music.

Music was the only way I could breath. I wrote songs, learned how to play guitar, and sang my heartbreak out of my soul.

So while Coop just happened to be in the same town as Emily while she was on tour, he wanted to stop by and say, "hello". But what started off as friends just hanging out, turned into the whirlwind romance that these two were destined for.

"I don't know what we're doin' or where this is going, but I've never felt so..."
"Pulled?"
"Yeah."

And although, we can appreciate Emily and Cooper's hot and sexy connection, someone out there isn't a fan. Someone who has been sending Emily creepy letters and sending her flowers like she is his and not Cooper's. Enter protective Cooper...my personal favorite Cooper!

I'll do whatever I can to keep you safe. It's what a man should do, and more than that, it's what I'll always do.

See?!?!?! SWOOOOOOON. Damn, Corinne's got a way with words.

So even though this is a novella, this baby is jam packed with sexiness, excitement and tenderness. I. Wanted. More. So much more. But, I'm just grateful that we got a Cooper and Emily book. Because it was AWESOME.

Umm, did I happen to mention that there are two hero's in this book? And not the love triangle kind. Intrigued? You should be, because this book isn't going to let you stop here. You're going to be begging to find out who the hell Wade Rycroft is.

Le Sigh....I hope that this is not the last that I see of Bell Buckle, but all great things have to end sometime. I just love this world, these people. Maybe it's time for a re-read? I think that it's only appropriate to leave with the best description of Cooper Townsend, because this man is EVERYTHING.

Only Cooper could take the darkest day and turn it bright. He chases away the clouds, keeps the storms at bay, and allows me to dance in his rays.

Are you ready to go back to go back to Bell Buckle in this Retune to Me novella? The novella, Say You Won’t Let Go, by Corinne Michaels is part of the Lexi Blake crossover to her Masters & Mercenaries series and intertwines characters from both series and I loved it!

Emily Young grew up knowing she was destined to leave Bell Buckle. All she wanted was make it big as a country music artist and make something of herself. And she was finally on her way. She was an opening act and gaining traction. Her dreams were coming true. Then Cooper Townsend showed up backstage at a concert and changed everything.

Cooper was tired of being second best and putting his dreams aside for everyone else. It was time for him to take what he wanted. Copper was sexy, strong, protective and very possessive. He was a good man with a good heart. But once he sets his mind to something, there is no turning back!

Cooper was in Dallas to attend a conference, but with Emily in town for a concert as well, he finds himself backstage. Though they have known each other for years, it seems it is finally the right time for them! They have such a strong connection and chemistry. They spend hours talking. But with him in Bell Buckle and her on a tour, do they even have a chance to see where this can go?

But when Emily is threatened, Cooper will stop at nothing to protect her. He brings in McKay-Taggert to protect her. But is it too late? Cooper will do anything to keep her safe, but will Emily push Cooper away just when she needs him the most?

I loved visiting old friends and meeting new ones! Say You Won’t Let Go was so much fun to read. I loved the connection between Emily and Cooper and how they were determined to make this work. It was so sweet and sexy but also full of suspense. This was a great read with characters we love and though part of a series, can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading the Return to Me series as well, as they are great reads!

Ahhhhhh!!!!! Cooper and Emily....finally!!!!!!

I have awaiting Cooper’s Book for what seems like ages!!!! Ms. Michaels did not disappoint!!

There were soooo many twists, turns, shockers and jaw dropping moments in Say You Won’t Let Go; I struggled to “adult” while reading.....who am I kidding, I didn’t adult.....I just read!

Having been invested in Cooper since Say You’ll Stay, I couldn’t wait to read his story. This is a must read!!!

Now, I want to go back and start over at Book 1 because I’m not ready to say good bye Bell Buckle.

Say You Won't Let Go was a sweet and steamy friends to lovers romance and also my first Corinne Michaels book. While set in Lexi Blake's Masters & Mercenaries series, none of the MCs were from that world. Emily Young had a brief cameo in Nobody Does It Better, but the hero being from Corinne's Return To Me series was entirely new to me.

Having said that, I initially struggled a bit to truly buy into the romance between Emily and Cooper. There was clearly a backstory to them, and not having read the rest of the series, it took me some time to wrap my head around it fully. It also made me feel like their connection was too instant for my particular tastes as well.

That aside, I did enjoy the novella quite a bit once it got going. There's some suspense thrown in with Emily's stalker and the addition of Wade, the McKay-Taggard bodyguard assigned to protect her. The chemistry between Emily and Cooper may have been quick, but it was sizzling. By the end of the book I was rooting for them both.

Say You Won’t Let Go was the final book in the Return to Me series by Corrine Michaels. It was a crossover with Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series.

We met Cooper and Emily in previous books. Cooper was a rancher in the small town of Bell Buckle. He was born and raised there and eventually took over his family’s farm. Emily was raised in the small town as well but got out of town as quickly as she could to pursue a country music career.

Emily and Cooper were childhood friends along with the entire gang from the series. Emily was currently touring as an opening act on the cusp of her big breakthrough. Cooper was visiting one of her tour cities and they connected after one of her concerts and the story began.

As a novella, Michaels quickly got us to the relationship level with only a few minor adjustments. Michaels then began to lay out the suspenseful plot which added some additional depth to the quick story. It also introduced the crossover series when Cooper hired an old friend, Wade, as a security guard for Emily.

In the end, it was a fast and sweet read to conclude the series. I would have preferred a longer novel for depth into both lives, however, it worked for a novella. Since the series has now ended, I’ll have to read Wade’s story next in Lexi Blake’s Protected.

I will start out by saying I liked this book okay it’s just that I didn’t really find it believable. Emily and Cooper have known each other since they were kids and they are now late 30’s/early 40’s and just now there is a connection??? All of the sudden they can’t live without one another? I don’t know, just doesn’t sound plausible.

Again, I love Corinne Michaels but the last 2 books of this series just didn’t have reasonable storylines. I still enjoyed the characters and the bit of action/suspense was good. Of course, I loved Cooper in the other books and I am still madly in love with him in this one.

Just a short novella to closeout this series

I loved Cooper Townsend in the Return to Me series as the supportive brother and the potential love interest. When I heard he’d be getting his own novella, I was excited but I had no idea how his story would play out.

What a great story this was. Cooper grew up with Emily Young and decides to look her up at a concert where she is performing. Emily’s star is on the rise in the country music world and having a part of her past show up is a welcome surprise. The sparks fly between the two old friends and what follows is a great friends to lovers romance.

You also get to see some old favorites and meet an intriguing new character of Lexi Blake’s. I loved Wade and his interactions with both Cooper and Emily. This crossover has me eager to read Lexi’s work.

Fantastic read!

This story right here is the reason I was so excited by Lexi Blake’s crossover series ! We got Cooper !!!

Oh my since first setting foot in Bell Buckle I fell for Mr Townsend, his smooth Southern Charm and his swagger, with the air of confidence that surrounds him. I felt for him when he lost out to Trent and fell hard, but as they say everything happens for a reason !

Emily is just the sweetest and feistiest, a small town girl following her dreams in country music, on tour, a chance encounter with Cooper (childhood friends) being in the same city at the same time and feelings being provoked, leads to heat and romance in the way only Corrine can deliver !

However danger lurks just around the corner and we are introduced to Wade Rycroft from McKay-Taggart security ! A friend of Coopers from his rodeo days and oh boy he’s rather hot ! Cooper and Emily entrust him with her safety.

As the story unfolds, we get suspense, danger and emotion all wrapped up into one and delivered with class and perfection from Ms Michaels !

The fact I’m on a huge Nashville binge right now, means country and Cowboys are high on my agenda and this story could total slot right in ! Definitely up there !

Love it 😍

Love Cooper 😍

Loved, loved, loved it!! I have been waiting for Cooper Townsend to get his HEA! Turns out while Cooper and Emily have been just friends, they have also had feelings for each other for a while.
Emily left Bell Buckle to pursue her music career and has been touring as an opening act. Meanwhile Cooper is happy to live and run his farm in Bell Buckle, but something has been missing from his life. He shows up at one of Emily’s shows in Dallas and let’s just say some very sweet music is in the making!
I like where the story goes with some danger and suspense due to a stalker who has his sights on Emily, mixed in with the hot and steamy connection between Cooper and Emily. I also felt because of their past together, the faster pace was just right for them! They are perfect together. I really love that we get more of my favorite peeps in Bell Buckle in this book too!!
This crossover into Lexi Blake’s Master’s and Mercenaries series introduces us to Wade Rycroft, who is a bodyguard with McKay-Taggart. Cooper runs Into his old friend Wade In Dallas and then hires him as a bodyguard for Emily because of the escalating behavior of her stalker. I like Wade a lot! I love how he steps in when Cooper asks him to and how concerned he is for Emily simply because she is Cooper’s.
The epilogue just made me happy! I’m still smiling!

Ahhhhhh!!!!! Cooper and Emily....finally!!!!!!

I have been awaiting Cooper’s Book for what seems like ages!!!!

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this novella. We know Cooper (and have met Emily) from the previous Return to Me books, but this reads well as a standalone. This is a fast easy read. I like that they have a long friendship history so that helps with the relatively quick relationship progression due to this being a novella- and there is still plenty of story as well. I can't wait to read Wade's book by Lexi Blake.

Brilliant!! This story was everything I’d hoped for from Coopers Book... Having read all the other books in this series, like everyone else, we had been hanging on for Cooper's story for so long! And finally we get his turn in this delicious morsel of the most perfect Novella!

Considering this is a novella, is still had everything you could want out of the story. Cooper and Emily's story is just lovely. Both characters have history and ultimately friendship.

With Emily pursuing her career in singing. She's left the small town world of Bell Buckle and is making it big supporting a huge country artist on tour. Whilst in town, Cooper happens to be in the same town for work, they meet up and the connection soon starts again, the chemistry is there and sparks begin to fly!

But can they make a go of things. With Cooper from Bell Buckle, and Emily wanting to make it big in the world, their lives are leading them in different directions. Throw in a crazy fan of Emily's, suddenly things start to get a little more serious. When threats start to be made, we meet Wade, one of Coopers friends from his younger Rodeo days (Oh how I need to read his book too - swoon!!).

This novella is crammed full of love, romance, heat, danger and suspense. There is laughter, tears and angst. I devoured this story!! It was extremely well written, staying true to the rest of the 'Return to Me' series. A wonderful ending to complete this epic series!
