தமிழ்க் கோயில்கள் தமிழர் பண்பாடு

இருபது வருஷங்களுக்கு முன், திருச்சி வானொலி நிலையத்தார் 'தென்னிந்திய கோயில்கள் - சரித்திர சான்று' என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு சொற்பொழிவுக்கு என்னை அழைத்தனர். அதன்பின் சரித்திரம், சிற்பம் முதலிய கலைகளை பற்றி பேசவும் வாய்ப்புகள் தந்தனர். திரும்பவும் சென்ற வருஷம் மார்ச், ஏப்ரல் மாதங்களில் தமிழ்நாட்டுக் கோயில்களைப் பற்றி நான்கு பேச்சுகள்தொடர்ந்து பேசுமாறு பணித்தனர்

இதே சமயத்தில் சென்னை வானொலி நிலையத்தார் கனம் கல்வியமைச்சர் தலைமையில் ஓர் இலக்கிய அரங்கை நடத்தினர். தமிழர் பண்பாடு என்னும் தலைப்பில் நானும் நண்பர்கள் திரு. பி. ஸ்ரீ. ஆச்சார்யா, திரு. கே. வாசுதேவ சாஸ்திரியார், திரு. ச. சிவகுமார், திருமதி. அ. ரா. இந்திரா முதலியோரும் விளக்கங்கள் தந்தோம். இவற்றையெல்லாம் கேட்ட அன்பர் சிலர் 'இந்த பேச்சுகள் எல்லாம் காற்றோடு காற்றாய்ப் போய் விடுகின்றதே, வானொலியில் கேட்காத தமிழ் அன்பர்களுக்கு பயன்படுவதாக இல்லையே' என்று ஏங்கினர். இப்பேச்சுகளைத் தொகுத்து புத்தக உருவில் வெளியிட்டால் பலருக்கு உபயோகமாய் இருக்குமே என்றும் எண்ணினர். அவர்கள் விருபத்தை பூர்த்தி செய்யவே இந்த வானொலிப் பேச்சுகள் புத்தக உருவில் வெளி வருகின்றன.

Exploring Tamil Culture or rather Civilization and its legacy, literature and the richness is always a fascinating thing. It contains wonders that have been preserved for thousands of years. And this books is like standing on the shoulders of giants. This book is a collection of the speeches in All India Radio and other places that have taken the book form. The author claims that some of them content have not been given in-depth analysis or explanation, but that itself is very interesting and awe-inspiring. And more interested readers will delve much deeper into the roots. Hearing to the stalwarts in the field of research and literature is great gift and Bhaskara Thondaiman is one such great contributors to the research of the Tamil language and its culture.
