الكتاب ممتع و مفيد . طريقة تقديمه للمعلومة كانت جذابة . أعجبني أن الكاتب قام أولا بتزويد القارئ بالخلفية المعلوماتية المطلوبة لفهم الذاكرة و طريقة عملها قبل أن يقدم طرق تحسين الذاكرة .

مما تعلمته من الكتاب و اقتبسته :
العناصر الغذائية التي تساعد على تحسين الذاكرة تشمل : فيتامين سي و إي و بي (1-3-6-12) ، و البورون و المغنيسيوم و الزنك و أوميغا 3 . كل هذا يمكن إيجاده في الأطعمة التالية : الحمضيات ، الجزر ، السبانخ ، زيوت الخضروات ، الأسماك الزيتية التونة و السردين ، زيت الزيتون ، الحليب ، السمك ، التفاح ، البازلاء .

من التقنيات التي قدمها لتحسين الذاكرة : تنظيم المعلومات لأن المعلومات المبعثرة يصعب تذكرها و التعامل معها ، زيادة التركيز و التقليل من العوامل الخارجية المزعجة ، استخدام الأماكن للربط بين المعلومات و بين المكان مما يسهل تذكر المعلومات حين التسلسل من مكان لآخر ، تشكيل صورة غير اعتيادية للشيء الذي تريد تذكره كأن تشكّل صورة غريبة / صورة متحركة / صورة مضحكة .

Fair

As a community college. graduate, I found nothing new here for me, except for the list of brain healthy foods. That, and that you should only be slightly out of breath after exercise. I wanted a lot of new mnemonic devices. Nothing good here.

This book is part of the DK series, which was published about 20 years ago, and it introduces many useful tips to prevent memory loss as you get older.

For many years, it was believed that memory power declines with age, but in recent years, by keeping your mind active, continuing to study, writing books and blogs, and engaging in output such as public speaking.

It has become possible to improve your memory even as you get older.
It is known to strengthen the nerve cells in the brain.

This book introduces some tips to improve your memory as you get older.

For example, study a foreign language, prepare for a qualification exam, get good quality sleep, eat whole foods, exercise, meditate, use mind maps, etc.

I found some parts in this book useful and other parts a bit silly. But maybe that is because it will not help me to remember a phone number by (i.e.) letting the numbers dance in my head. Nor can I have a planner that takes place for at least three months in my brain, I do not think that that is healthy either.

Somehow an average book considering the exercises provided in the book to improve memory didn't help me to recall the contents of the book after I finished reading it :)

七十来页的小册子,简单介绍一下大脑不同部位的功能和记忆的原理后,作者罗列了多种记忆小技巧和辅助工具。翻一遍选了几个打算试一试手~
以及,真的太喜欢flashcard了!

This was a good refresher for me. The best tidbit of information I didn't know about was when to review - an hour, a day, a week, a month, 3 months, and 6 months - to keep recall up at about 80%. I'm going to try this with a dated card file box I have for Spanish vocabulary.

A couple of years ago, I spent some time building a date recall system I call CAT - creature action thing - and I'd like to return to it and build it up more. I guess now's the time!

It´s so basic, don`t help very much, It´s a good super brief introduction for memory training though. The pretty pictures and well organized text made me read all the book.
