And I intended to fully explore that reason, as soon as he finished rescuing me, along with the other women I had been kidnapped with. One of whom was a sassy, saucy woman named Layla. I tried to convince her, and myself, that Puck Lawson wasn't my type.
She just laughed. "Honey, Puck isn’t anyone’s type," she told me. "You don’t go looking for guys like Puck. They find you, and somehow, you’re never quite able to walk away after that.”
Although, I had a feeling I might be unable to walk at all by the time he was finished with me...

I am so glad I chose to read this series coz I have literally devoured all the books in 2 days!!! I love me some alpha badass men and the men in Alpha one security team are just that. After Thresh & Duke, its Puck's story. He's muscled, bearded and a badass (as is expected if this team). He is also stuck in the cargo of an aircraft, without any weapons, rescuing this teammate's girlfriends. They have been captured by the villain along with other girls, to be sold off as sex-slaves. Colbie is one of such girls. Amongst getting lost somewhere in Russia and trying to save some twenty females, Puck falls in insta-love with Colbie. Colbie has had an interesting childhood and needs no man, especially the funny Puck. Their banter is amazing and their heart-to-heart conversations are beautiful. We see a lot more of the other characters in this story and each play a part in getting these two people together. The sex is hot, and there is fun and humor in it. Loving this series. Please tell me Lear and Anselm will also get their stories coz the Epilogue kinda made me feel not-so-hopeful.
Oh man I’m I sad this series is over. I LOVED it. This one wasn’t as action packed as the last two but I loved it just as much. I could keep reading about these guys forever. So sad 😭
Good read, it was good to see all the Alpha One Security tough guys find love, Layla stated they should thank Cain their enemy because of him they all found love, Thresh, Duke and Puck.
Holy moley Puck is one honest, blunt man, “get everyone somewhere safe, find a way to contact the boys . . .” his next words were whispered in my ear, “and then get you naked and make you come at least a dozen times.” Puck can be a very enthusiastic man, “thank eff!” He stood in the doorway with a box of condoms, unopened. My eyes latched onto his ***k as he swaggered back into the bedroom from the bathroom." I loved this book, all the men are bossy alphas that are really sexy.
This series is awful but I couldn't stop reading; think of them as bad, campy reality television shows in written form. Didn't expect much and was still disappointed by the ending, massive plot holes, and the characters moral contradictions. Two of the main security guys hate human traffickers but their employer bought his wife as a sex slave, made her work off her price, then married her. Yet, another character almost beat a guy to death in a bar for the same thing. Guess having billions in the bank makes that allowable.
I read Duke's book, which gave the teaser for Puck's book, and I can honestly say I couldn't picture a squat, bald, bearded man, with a missing finger as a sexy, alpha hero. I kept picturing the bald, bearded, dwarf from The Hobbit (which one, right?!).
While it took a bit of work to imagine him through the heroine's eyes, Jasinda did a wonderful job of dragging the reader, by their hair and tits, into the romance. I loved Colbie, she was so much freaking fun! She said what was on her mind, she was as tough as nails, and she was intelligent and quick-witted, which meant she gave as much as she got, and boy was it tantalizing. She and Puck rubbed on together perfectly, which made the story that much more un-putdownable.
I started reading this book at midnight. I didn't turn off the light and roll over until 5:30am. I lost precious sleep, but it was worth it to read such a great book after the literary turds I'd read earlier.
There are a few things that made the story a little 'eh' for me. Puck lost the tip of his middle finger, and then he cauterizes is while on the run from vicious mercenaries... So, with all the below-the-belt, finger-banging, is he getting vag juices all over his healing digit? After the scene where he fixes up his finger, his nubbin is not mentioned again, though he does use his fingers, voraciously, in his smexy times with Colbie.
Also, the fact that Puck was shorter than Colbie... Back to The Hobbit... I was picturing the dwarf and the elf together, and it was off-putting. But when I forced my mind to read the scenes without the internal JRR Tolkien references, the book flowed hot and wet.
I loved the secondary characters from the previous books in the series. They are all so combustable but hilarious together.
Well done, Jasinda. Another fabulous book that robs me of sleep and sanctity.
4 stars Alpha One Security – Harris is the first book in this series by Jasinda Wilder and the first book I have read by this author. It is entertaining, thrilling, suspenseful and full of tension. It is a little erotic, sexy, steamy and hot, hot, hot.
Alpha One Security is owned and run by Nick Harris and like is bunch of unlikely misfits they are previous military men and mercenaries with somewhat hearts. They can be hard as stone but big teddy bears when they want to be. They don’t love or so they say but they meet his match when it comes to the bedroom.
When things get tough so do these alpha men who made me laugh with their wit and banter, sigh with their tender hearts and heart in throat when they get into the action and swoon when it gets sexy.
Loved this book! Would definitely recommend for anyone who loves a strong male and female lead with lots of chaos involved. Once I started I couldn't put it down!
This is the first book I've read by Jasinda Wilder, and let me tell you, it won't be my last. The book started off action-packed, and unfortunately, due to life being busy, I read about 20% of it and had about a month break before I could pick it back up. That last 80% was devoured in 3 hours until I finished it. It was amazing! Puck is a badass who is rescuing a group of ladies who have been abducted and are headed for the trafficking ring. Some of the girls are his teammates' wives, and in the mix is a gal named Colbie, who is also just as bad ass as he is. Puck has to try and get these girls to safety while also figuring out Colbie and breaking down her walls. I really enjoyed how Colbie opened up to him, and you could truly feel a connection between them both. They shared their back stories with each other, and I enjoyed reading about what shaped them both as characters and it didn't bore me. I'm excited to go and read more books by this author.
Is this book insta-love? Yes. Can you feel the tension between Puck and Colbie? Yes. Is the last 60-ish percent of this book smut on smut on smut? Yes. Do you get all hot and bothered by it while reading it? Also yes, and I can't wait to read more :)
This Series just keeps getting better with each book!!! We were introduced to Puck in the previous books and now we get his story. Puck meets Colbie while trying to protect the women of A1S. To say that they meet in unusual circumstances is putting it mildly. Colbie doesn't know what to think or expect from Puck just judging on his appearance and mannerisms. Puck is immediately attracted to Colbie but has to focus on the situation at hand. Can two people from troubled backgrounds find happiness together while trying to stay alive? You really need to read this book to find out! I really hope that we are going to get Lear and Anselm's stories too!! Also that Cain gets what he deserves😜
I’m not saying I’ll lose sleep over it, but a few things did leave me wondering as I read this book. For example, if you write a VERY detailed description of a high speed chase/shootout that includes another detailed description of what appears to be a main character getting shot in the leg, but then you don’t ever address that injury after the shootout??? Well, you have confused me and left me wondering what was happening with the people who should have been checking your work… Not a bad book, but some things are just incomplete—and not in any kind of cliffhanger way—just small unfinished things in the story that were started and maybe forgotten or changed but never completely fixed before release.
Wow, what a story for Puck and Colbie . Met by chance when puck was trying to rescue Kyrie, Layla , Lola and Temple and Colbie was in the same bus. Instant attraction but Colbie was slow to warm up because she had fears of being hurt. Puck is one relentless man to say the least.
Once everyone is back home all the men are now in New relationship a and seeing where they lead. Great to catch up with all and loved the series. Hope it is not over.
Wow! All I can say is I loved this last book. But I’m still curious about the others. What happened with Temple and Duke and the rest of the couples. Can we get another 2 years later. Plus with the ending kind of like a cliff hanger leaves me wanting more!
I don’t want to spoil anything but yes I need more. Maybe 2 years later or 5. Please!!
Anyway Puck’s story is my favorite! Enough action and love in his unique Puck way.
Sorry, there was no way to leave a review for each book! You simply segued into the next and while not necessarily cliff hangers, you had to read them all! And what an amazing series. I absolutely loved it, mayhem, kidnapping, murder, and some totally crazy heroes and heroines! Each book was thrilling, yet absolutely filled with one liners that had me cackling! Of course, the finale was perfect!
What happens when you hide in the cargo hold of a plan because someone took your buddies girls and this find out that he also took your bosses wife and his bosses wife and you end up in BFE - you do what cones natural and protect plus break them out along with the others that have been kidnapped, oh and one you fall for - meet Puck and Colbie.
How do you try to write a character that is so far out there in comparison to his coworkers/brothers? Just as Ms Wilder has, in an unaffected way of saying, and doing, exactly what you want, unapologetically. Puck is crass but loveable as his dignified, all business, speaks 3 languages, rescued love interest soon finds out. A great read.
Puck's story is just as wild and crazy as the rest of the A1 security team. How these men find their women puts dating to the next level . This love story has action, sex, and an awesome alpha male.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to others . This book can be read as a standalone but strongly recommend reading at least book 3 in this series before reading book 4
I love Jasinda's books it's like your reading a story about your family! I don't know which Alpha I loved the best but I think I'm leaning towards Puck, after his machismo was stripped down bare he shined bright with his love and compassion!
Loved how much adventure and action was in this one. The AS1 team is an awesome family and now they all have their woman and all became a tight family. Loved this whole series. Ending with Puck just made it a good way to end this series!
This was the last book in the A1S series. I read the series back to back so the the story really flowed. It was exciting, gory, a real thriller with over the top sex scenes and multiple insta love stories. Wanted the story to continue but it did have a HEA. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed, but there were two errors when describing bedroom sequence. Female was in a robe so Puck didn't undress her. Puck was not wearing underwear because those had been removed on the small plane.
Too see everyone come together at the end was great. The only thing I didn't like was the what happened to the villain. Seems like another book is in order
