Fantastic! I was captivated and enthralled with Florentyna very early on in the Prodigal Daughter and was delighted that her story was somewhat continued in Shall We Tell The President. Other than a minor correction in the text of the second novel, where Senator Brooks should have been from Illinois, Shall We Tell The President provided a good sequel.
The Prodigal Daughter provided Florentyna's character with a lot of depth and this helped to make her a relatable character, despite her wealth and privilege. The reader was able to ride the waves of life's emotions along with Florentyna.
Shall We Tell The President was about an assassination plot against the now president Florentyna. Although Florentyna was not referred to as frequently, the novel was still captivating.
My husband bought me this book set. I was slightly sceptical, having never read Lord Archer's work, but pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed both books, although I would have to say The Prodigal Daughter was, for me at least, better than Shall we tell. It didn't make me rush out and buy all his books, but I would certainly read any that came personally recommended.
