It's been over a month since my previous Fairy Tail volume and I can't say I really missed it. There are too many... special... characters with odd and supposedly funny quirks. There's a lot of fanservice. And what there isn't a lot of is clear plot.
After our heroes finished an important mission in the previous volume and returned to the guild, Fairy Tail got attacked by a rival guild of wizards. Oh, no! Now they're fighting said wizards, who are attempting to kidnap Lucy, because she's the heiress to a great business, and her dad wants her back. Queue insane battles and people figuring out things during them in classic anime style.
Mashima really does make this stuff up as he goes along, doesn't he? And he throws fanservice everywhere.
I needed something quick and amazing after the mess that is the Elfstones of Shannara, and this totally delivered! I don't know how many times I can say I love Fairy Tail, but I do! Read it or watch the anime!
Its a full on Guild war and its Natsu vs Gajeel at past but then they reveal their real reasons for kidnapping Lucy and suffer some losses and then FT retreats. There are some amazing moments where you learn about FT and its members and how they will sacrifice themselves for their members which was really good and then finally we have the epic battle but this time its Element 4 vs them and the bulk of the volume is about that and in the end Natsu faces off against Aria!
Its a good volume and just continues the good pace of the story vs Phantom and its top fighters and also highlights the bonds of friendship and good moments for Elfman and Mirajane. The art is again awesome, the backgrounds, the line work and all really compliment each other and Mashimas comment in the end are amazing lol.
To quote Gordon Ramsey: 'finally, some good f*cking food'. Things are finally kicking back into gear and it's long deserved for readers that stuck with it. It's the first time in my re-read that I find myself wanting to immediately pick up the next volume and continue on.
The fight between the guilds continue and it will continue so let's go and keep on reading.
I have always loved comics, and I can and I have. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more. You should also read what you love, and I hope you will always love it. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics, Mangas, Mahwas, and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.
Fairy Tail’s revenge on Phantom Lord continues with a shocking secret about Lucy. It turns out that she is a runaway from home and her father hired the guild to find her and bring her home. Regardless, FT will do whatever it takes to defend their honor and member and we see them get into serious action. For Gray, he’s up against emotionless water girl Juvia and it quickly turns into a funny 180. A (100%/Outstanding)
A quick trust fall test and rescue into a full blown guildwar with Elfman overcoming his takeover and the guild defending Lucy. Juvia is great from the get go with her love at first sight, I look forward to her winning over Gray again.

this volume is a little more boring than the others. i wasn't passionate about the story. i hope the next volumes will be as exciting as the first ones again.
4 estrellas , tomo 7 . ¡Simplemente estoy cogiéndole mucho cariño! .
Me encanta .
And here it is if I'm correct. The volume where the only character I still hold some affection for gets introduced. That'd be Gajeel. Its funny, looking back he's like some mini/lighter version of Guts :P.
This might've been the first time I've been trolled hard by an author in terms of character development, as I hated this character for a bit until later on.
In terms of trolling though with character arcs these days? Some fellas from Game of Thrones surpass him by a long shot.
The honorable mention char I still like (Honorable mention because she's used even less, ugh.) is Levy.
I am also going to mention I loved phantom lord Juvia. That was until she turned into merely a satire character later in the series, which STILL makes me pissed because she could've been such a cool anti-hero type like Gajeel.

Abandono este anime, me da pereza seguir... si fuesen menos capítulos pero es que no le veo el final a esta serie y se me esta haciendo muy repetitiva.
I really like this series but I think I'm too caught up in another to be reading them. I need more character driven plot and relationships and less kyaaahhh right now.
World: The art is solid, the battles look amazing and the sense of motion is fantastic. The world building is solid and serves the story's purpose. It's a set up for future stuff and also this stuff. Not a lot of depth here but it serves it's purpose.
Story: We just ended the last battle arc and barely without a breath to calm down we do the Phantom arc. This arc is fun, it's balls to the wall action and just fun. That being said we barely have time to breath. Also a point in the plus is the character link to Lucy that makes this more than what it is. It's an enjoyable read.
Characters: Lucy gets development and that's ways great. I love we get more than just boobs with her. Also like the Mirajane story with the family. Solid little character moments.
It was a battle arc again but that's just what this series is. The character moments were nice.
An action-packed volume with battles, fights, and oh my gosh Phantom will you just fuck off. Seriously, destroying all that and going that far just to get Lucy? WTF peeps. I am glad that the guild is 100% behind Lucy and that they are all doing their best for her, to help her, save her. It was so emotional. And the battles are fantastic. Not just Natsu vs one of the Element 4 (and oh yes the weapon) but also the other battles. Plus, some backstory for Mirajane and Elfman. And I see next time we are going up against the last of the Element 4 (and I am definitely looking forward to Juvia x Gray). This was soooooo good! I cannot wait to read the next one~
4/5 Guild War. Fairy Tail is fighting Phantom Lord a guild that is trying to kidnap Lucy and take her back to her father. Some decent fights in here. Natsu vs Totomaru another fire user is a fun albeit silly fight. Then we get back story on Elfman and Mirajane which was cool to see. Elfman fights Sol and we get a better picture of what his powers are. Finally we end with Natsu about to take on Aria and Gray vs Juvia. Good times.
Natsu and the Elemental Four on the cover of volume 7.
Really happy to be back in this world. There were definitely points when I laughed but overall it wasn’t my favorite so far in the series. I did really enjoy though the focus on the other members of the guild and Elfman’s relationship with his sister! Also, loved getting introduced to the Element 4! Can’t wait to pick up the next novel and see how Lucy reacts to everything that is going on between the guilds!
I have a few thoughts on this volume : - So weird to see Gajeel being the big ennemy of Fairy Tail. - AS WELL AS JUBIA ! Omg the first time she sees Gray, this is THE BEST. - When Elfman has to use his full power... that scene was so heartbreaking, it's the first time the tragedy is brought up about Lysanna. AWWW. Right in the feels.
This is definitely showing is shonen leanings as there is a lot of action put into a story which is light on plot and characterization. We do learn more about Lucy and a host of Phantom guild members.
I liked the fact it started where the last left off with the dragon slayers and how good the guild wars are becoming but I love thag there is loyalty to Lucy and how the characters are starting to feel like they have each others backs
This was a fun manga to read. Natsu going against someone who can't be effected by his fire and VI versa. Plus Natsu being awesome and save people while being funny. Grey gouse against Juvia and that is where it ends but I am excited to read that fight!! Overall a great volume, and I can't wait to read more.
Jobia is very similar to Maetel in Galaxy Express 999. The author is a big fan of Maetel, I think. The content was more exciting than last series because there were more fighting scenes by not only Natsu but also many other characters. Especially, Elfman was my best character in this volume. I want a brother like him.
This is one of those guilty pleasure fan service things that I’m not entirely sure why I read other than I like some of the characters but not really the one I’m supposed to like, such as the lead, Lucy (who spends all of her time doubting herself or getting kidnapped.) Sure enough Lucy gets kidnapped. It turns out all the attacks against the Fairy Tail guild were because Lucy’s very wealthy father wants her back.
Even after she does get free, the attacks continue and all of Fairy Tail sets out to keep her from being returned home where she doesn’t want to go. We finally get to see other Fairy Tail members other than Gray, Natsu and Erza do some magic. Apparently all the other women besides Lucy are strong fighters so that should make some people happy and the fan service gives us lots of bare chested men and women with impossibly large breasts so it evens out a bit. It’s mindless fluff mostly but I enjoy it. Unfortunately for Lucy by the end, she has earned herself another jealous foe who mistakenly thinks Gray is Lucy’s boyfriend. By this late date of a volume, you’ll have already made your decision if you like reading this. It won’t be for everyone but if you like a little action, humor, magic and fan service you’ll probably be happy with it.
