Some cherries are too sweet not to pop… KITA The Chi Ro Pi Cherry Pies make me feel like I finally have a home again. But when they send me to their Sorority ‘Bake Sale’ in a skimpy halter-top, I find out the cherry pie they’re selling is… my virginity. Up on that stage, I’m more vulnerable than ever. Until he takes me in his big, strong arms. I want to stay there forever... if he'll let me. I can’t wait to show him just how grateful I am. Save me, Daddy! DANIEL Virginity auctions aren’t my thing, but when I find the Chi Ro Pis holding one in my building? I’m furious. I’m clearly too old for these girls. Ex-military. Way too tough for college kids. But then she steps on stage. Soft, delicate, beautiful. Practically trembling in fear. Lost. Bewildered. She actually thought the Cherry Pie auction would be selling baked goods! Even as she quivers in fear, my cock is stiffening. I want to protect her. I want to own her. So I take her, telling myself I’m her hero. But who’ll protect her from me? Full-length novel. Standalone, no cliffhanger. HEA guaranteed.
2.5 stars -no cheating -no ow/om drama -older man/younger woman -hero kept heroine at arms length most of the book -heroine was awkwardly naive -epilogue that was just ok- definitely didn't tie up much and it wasn't a far enough look into the future
Loved this quick read. A daddy kink romance that is 100% safe, sexy and charmingly sweet. The pacing was smooth and the characters were complex and well developed. The attraction and sexual tension are right there from the get go but they don't immediately jump into bed. They get to know each other before taking that next step and I liked that.
This was one of the better daddy kink romances I've read. I will definitely be reading this one again.
Kita is a pledge of Chi Ro Pi Sorority & attending her first Bake Sale aka Virgin Auction that she thought they were selling cherry pies. Daniel is ex-military who branched into security & investing in small businesses. A peerless older man/younger woman romance novel with a enthralling plot. A sweet & sultry novel with sizzling character chemistry, sexy spicy moments, & turmoil. I volunteerly reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
It wasn't horrible. It was just okay. She was way too innocent for someone who spent time in foster homes. And why does she have to call him that word.... He was great at protecting her. The epilogue was just okay too.
To be honest, I couldn't relate o the main character at all. I could not believe how "innocent"--if you know what I mean--she was. It was like, more along the lines of she did, that she didn't know a single thing about sex. I mean, I knew pretty much everything about sex when I was in sixth grade--and I grew up in a very nice home. But for a foster child who jumped around homes a lot (for who for pete's sake lived in a sorority that sold their girls for sexual actions), she should not be this innocent or native. Now, I'm saying all people who grow up in foster homes have all the knowledge about sex, but she should at least have a clue or two. I know first graders who know more about sex than she does.
I knew as soon as she was at the "bake sale" and there were no "cherry pies" what was going on. It was pretty obvious. But she kept thinking "Where are all of the pies?" and I kept wanting to repeatedly hit myself. And then there the whole trust the girls thing. Forgive me, but I cannot remember the two girls names that we met in the firsts chapter that are uncharge of the "bake sale", but, honestly, trusting that someone has ever best intention towards you is ridiculous. Even with my close friends I'm weary of what they have in mind when I'm in the dark. She should not have trusted them. But she did, stupidly, and she got drugged.
Look at that.
Now, this was not a bad book overall, the writing was decent and I love the main theme of loyalty, but I personally do not like the relationship. A forty year old with a twenty year old. I do not have any personal experience with this, but I've seen this before and heard about it before. Even though this relationship was not a "sugar-daddy" one, my mind couldn't let that go. I have seen/heard very few--less than two--relationships with this big of an age gap that actually work or that are actually love. I'm just saying. Please don't burn my house down.
The main guy character--cannot remember his name, nor do I care--I have mixed feeling about. I liked that we was a man who believed that you have to work for what you have, and I like that he wasn't selfish and gave back to his community. But I didn't like how, even though he was ashamed, he still thought, on some creepy level, he thought he somewhat belonged (and she him) to Kita. Id she was so ashamed, he should've talked to her like an adult or gotten her another place to stay.
And then there's the whole oral sex when the dang man was sleeping. The man was bloody sleeping and yet she thought it perfect okay to come into his room and though him THERE. The she had to put her mouth on him. Not only that, but he think the invasion of his privacy is a "nice little surprise".
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just a little wrong?
Well, I was surprised with Save Me, Daddy. Yes, it's an older man, younger woman setup, but there was less emphasis on sex and no real daddy/little girl play. Truthfully, it barely rates having daddy in the title. So, if that's your thing, look elsewhere.
The story is told in the first person from two points of view, Daniel's and Kita's. Kita's tends to move the story along while Daniel's gives us his feelings and is the more emotional. I found this unusual and liked his POVs more, we really don't get much of a read on Kita which is very unusual. Now Kita is the neophyte and maybe, like a child, there isn't much there yet, however, she is 18 or 19 so I expected more about what she was thinking/feeling.
I would have liked more dialog between the two, especially so we could learn more about both of their pasts. We get a few facts dropped here and there. We also need more interaction between them because what little there is is always in Daniel's house except for one instance. Given the lack of give and take it's hard to understand why they truly want a relationship. The file size and description indicate this is a full length novel which surprises me, I thought I read it in an hour or less and the lack of detail and backstory made it seem like a novella to me.
The biggest issue I have, and really added nothing to the story in my opinion, is that Kita is portrayed as so naive and in need of saving, yet she wrote a bullying app that may be good enough to sell, yet she doesn't realize that she was being bullied (nor put a stop to it) at the sorority.
Like I mentioned, I zipped through Save Me and enjoyed it enough to finish. I liked that we got more than usual from the male POV. Ultimately, I can't recommend it to those looking for a real "Daddy" or military romance though. It's more for someone looking for a lighter, quick romance read.
I received a copy from Shifted Sheets for my honest review.
When the book's done right, the reader responds to the connection between the characters, feels the emotions. At that point it doesn't really matter what they call each other as a term of endearment. And this book gets it right. There really isn't a lot of age-play involved in this story. It's primarily a dominant, alpha man who really enjoys having the woman in his life call him "Daddy". She may be young enough to be his daughter, but the only things childlike in their interactions are her innocence and wonder at the world around her. Not in a negative or uncomfortable way; only in that she hasn't become jaded and bitter by life's bad experiences. I enjoyed watching the dynamic between them as they learn about each other and learn to trust what they're feeling. I loved how caring and protective Daniel is of Kita. I'm not totally sure that I believe a child of the system would come out as naive as she is, but I love how trusting Kita still is in spite of that. This book was a quick couple hours of escape that I thoroughly enjoyed. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
I really loved this book and I was surprised by it. It turned out to be such a sweet, sweet love story. I loved Kita and Daniel and thought they made an amazing couple. They have so much chemistry and such an emotional connection. This is an older man/younger woman romance. Which is one of my favorites. Was sexy and touching. Really loved how protective and caring Daniel was of Kita. I also really liked that the author took a unique turn and made Daniel struggle with his feeling for a younger woman. As much as I enjoy May/December romances I think sometimes the whole situation is portrayed as happening too easily. Jess Bentley showcased his internal struggle very well and I feel it really added to the book. Kita, I felt for. Her life was not easy and the bullying and situation she suffered as a pledge at her sorority was I felt, a very current and interesting plot device. All and all a great book and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
This is my first read of Jess Bentley's and I was blown away. In this book we meet Kita who is attending the Sorority bake sale to win her pledge into Chi Ro Pi Sorority little does she know that she's the goods for sale. Along comes Batman to save the day Daniel has everything he wants after selling his APP after getting out of the military but the one thing he can't stand is Lizzie the girl who has no respect for others. On his way home he goes past the club where the bake sale is taking place and goes in to try and stop it. There he see's beautiful Kita and 2 other girls being sold. He saves the girls and drops 2 of them back to the Sorority house but takes Kita back to his as he can't seem to let her go. Things just grow from this event and needless to say this book has a big age difference between the characters but love has no bounds. The book does end with a HEA Would I recommend this book YES
A great new read from Jess Bentley! When Kita gets to college and pledges with the sorority Chi Rho Pi she thought maybe she found a place she belonged, even if she wasn't exactly like the other girls, but one night changes everything. Daniel feels responsible for his town, you can the man out of the military but not the military out of the man, with so many buildings and businesses belonging to him he makes sure his presence is know around town. When the local sorority has another one of their "bake sales" he steps in to put a stop to it and ends up coming face to face with the person who will change his world. The sparks between Daniel and Kita are off the charts, the age difference not an issue for either of them and both finding that thing they had been missing. I loved Daniel and Kita and the ending is absolutely perfect. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I love Jess Bentley's books and this one is no different. Not a big daddy book, as in big daddy play. It is more of an older man, younger woman relationship. So that is where the daddy comes into it. Kita is a young woman that gets caught up in becoming a pledge for a society. When a "bake" sale becomes a "virgin sale" Kita is to drugged to get out of it. Daniel, heading home sees another problem from Chi Rho Pi in one of his properties. So going in to stop whatever is going on in one of his buildings he sees Kita. Kita brings out a protectiveness that Daniel has never felt before. So when he gets a chance to protect her from Chi Rho Pi, Daniel jumps at the chance.
This is a great book and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
Kita was pledging for the fraternity Chi Ro Pi and she had been told that she was selling cherry pies at the back sale but found out she was the cherry pie for sale but a the night that it was going on this big handsome man came and took her away from it all and the next day she went back to the fraternity and found out all the bad things that was going on and went back to DANIEL he was a self made billionaire and her petrol the buildings and make sure the partying was not going wrong and he met the most small beautiful women he wanted to help her in any way and in the mean time he fell in love with her big time so good and exciting read loved every minute of it exciting sexy read I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This was a well written modern day fairy tale. Kita has had a rough go of it these past four years but finally thinks she has it made as she attends college and pledges a sorority. A drugged Kita winds up being offered for auction at the Chi Ro Pi Bake Sale, not knowing they plan to auction her virginity. Enter Daniel, a former military man, now a wealthy businessman who rescues her and takes her back to his home. Something in Kita strikes a cord in Daniel and he feels a chemistry with her, and the need to protect her despite the fact that he is twice her age. What follows is a sweet and lustful journey as these two find romance.
As I am not a fan of "DADDY" story lines, I thought I would give this one a try since it was an ARC book for me. I was very surprised to see that even though it was a older man/younger woman it really wasn't a DADDY book. The plot moved smooth and fast enough that I found myself staying up way to late. Definitely there is chemistry between Kits and Daniel. I honestly believe Jess Bentley has another hit! I received this book free as a ARC. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
Kita was a sweet yet strong heroine, and Daniel is patient with her while he gives her the security she needs to see she deserves to be treated with respect. I really liked the relationship between the two - I loved how the author stressed their emotional connection before exploring the physical attraction. If you like your romances to have a love story before setting fire to the sheets, then this is a book you'll enjoy. The HEA was absolutely wonderful, and what he did for her at the end was just perfect. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I enjoyed this story. I really liked that we got both of their points of view. He really struggled with the choice to get involved with a younger woman which is not the norm for this genre. He really thought carefully about the consequences for both of them. The title is a little misleading in that it is not one of those books where the man is looking for a young woman to be her daddy. The chemistry between them was very strong and I liked how their relationship was developed.
Daniel is a retired ex military and Kita is a young college student. Daniel is determined to have the sorority chapter shut down that Kita is pledging to due to having auctions of pledges and pornography. During an auction that Daniel is there to shut down he takes Kita and other pledgees back to the sorority house. Daniel and Kita realize that there is a connection between the two of them. Will Daniel and Kita have the HEA they are looking for with all the forces working to keep them apart? I recommend reading this book.
Sweet. Eighteen year old college freshman is "saved" from the older sorority girls by a forty year old man. He swoops in, carries her to safety, and gives her a place to stay. They slowly start building a relationship. It was sweet to read. Not too long, I read it in one afternoon/evening. Some "daddy" stories are over the top alpha males, and while Daniel is an alpha male, he isn't in your face about it. He lets Kita live her life, only interfering and becoming demanding when he finds out she wants to quit college. I really liked him. And Kita was adorable.
This is a dramatic story of bullying, betrayal and love. Daniel lives in his own little world, but he tries to make other people's lives better where he can. And that includes policing the college that he lives near. Which is where he finds Kita, being hazed and in danger, and so he brings her home. And becomes torn between his desire for a girl half his age, and his desire to just protect her. It's a captivating and entertaining story full of heartbreak and romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my voluntary and honest opinion of it.
This is a quick read but packed with lots of drama, sweetness and heat! Older man and young virgin type of story. We get more of a character background on Kita than we do with Daniel, but still enough info to connect with both. Jess does a great job keeping out the fluff but managing to leave enough to make it count! Highly recommended. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
I really enjoyed this one. Daniel was a true knight in shining armor and Kita the unwitting damsel in distress. That sorority was shameful and those girls deserve whatever they get. I loved how Daniel & Kita got to know one another and didn't jump right into a relationship. Kita was so sweet and innocent you can't help but feel for her and cheer when she gets her HEA!
I liked this story. I was a bit naughty, but sweet. It was well written. Kita is a shy, but strong girl. She is trying her best to fit in and find her way in the world. Daniel is an ex military guy that has made some money over the years. Yet at this stage in his life he is unfulfilled. Their chance meeting sparks something that they have both been missing. If you like young women with older guys, then you'll love this.
I enjoyed it, unfortunately it all felt a bit rushed, contrived and there were too many coincidences...I know it was only meant to be a novella but was just expecting so much more. There was so much more that could have been done with the age difference, the 'villains' of the piece didn't really amount to anything and it just fell so flat. And I came away from the book feeling rather disappointed.
Overall 3.5 stars. In several expansions on internal dialogue, way deeper than many romances. Other parts, like the resolution of the major external conflict, are quite facile. Nice building up to the couple finally getting together, and the trope is treated gently. One pet peeve; there's no reason to spell one Greek letter in a sorority's name, incorrectly.
This was a good book . The story with Daniel and Kita was a little different but the story that is told between the two is remarkable. Daniel having been alone for a long time don't know how to react when Kita is thrown in his life . He just wants to save her from the auction but realize there is something much stronger there in the end ..
I really don't know what to say about this book - actually books. Save me daddy had potential to be a cute story with a bit of the forbidden due to the age difference, but the daddy references were just a little creepy. Add in the editing issues and this was a set of books that I had a hard time enjoying.
This is the story of Kita and Daniel, and is older man/ younger woman scenario, with daddy / little girl roll play. If this is a genre that you are not keen on then this one is not for you. I love all of this authors work, but I am afraid to say, this is not one of my favourites. This is just my opinion though!
Loved this story with Kita and Daniel – the anticipation was so sweet. Very nice budding romance and character development. I love Batman!! He is my hero. This story has a heartwarming HEA that left a smile on my face. The story is a 5 star, however, it needs some editing so I only gave it 4.
This was a good book to read. I loved the characters and the relationship between them. This book is an older man, younger woman romance but what I especially liked about it was you didn't see the age difference between them at all. The book is well written and definitely worth your time. What you read and saw was just a love story. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
When college freshman, Nakita unknowingly is involved in a virginity auction by her so called sorority sisters from the house she's pledging for, she's lucky that Daniel happened to be driving by and saved her and the other 2 girls. He thinks he's way too old for her but can't help the way he feels or the protectiveness either.
