Deena Rae is a loner, a strong independent woman who needs nobody, with the possible exception of Mr. Fine Ass, with whom she’s begun a strange courtship. He’s certainly a nice diversion from her new job with Pierce Securities and her first solo gig with the company.

Slade is in debt to a man nobody wants to owe, his sperm donor just died, and somehow, Deena Rae knows the half-brother Slade’s never met. Slade can’t keep his eyes off his gorgeous bitch of a neighbor who keeps her drapes open, even when she’s “entertaining.” He’s told her, though, he’s a train wreck and they shouldn’t get involved.

Now Deena Rae is riding Slade’s train all the way to the end, whether she likes it or not. Slade is working for her mark, and her mark suddenly wants her dead.

About the author

Anne has written her entire life and has the boxes of angst-filled journals and poetry to prove it. She’s been writing for public consumption for the past several years. She lives in rural East Texas with her husband and children in her own private oasis, where she prides herself in her complete lack of social skills, choosing instead to live with the people inside her head.

Deena Rae works for Pierce Securities, mostly behind the scenes, gathering info. She is good at her job. Simon decides to let her have a case on her own involving a custody battle.... Little does she know the man she is investigating , Cecil is not a good man.
Slade Works for Cecil...as a bouncer at his club...until Slade gets in trouble with money, then he becomes Cecils errand boy.
Deena Rae and Slade are neighbors, and they watch each other across the courtyard...little did they know their worlds would collide.
I love the fact that she was such a strong heroine... she kind of stole the show...Loved Slade but her kick ass first...ask questions later attitude I thoroughly enjoyed. I love the Pierce Securities Series...and i would highly recommend it to one and all.. They are getting better and better!

Think this may be my favourite Anne Conley book!!
Loved that Deena Rae was such a strong heroine! She kicked ass!
The whole relationship between Deena Rae and Slade, with the whole back and forth banter (and occasional breaking and entering!) was the right mix of funny and sexy.
I kept trying to turn the last page to keep going. Definitely recommend this book.

BOND is the sixth book in the Pierce Securities series. Though each does stand on its own, it is much better to read all and in the order of release because of the recurring characters.

The first line of the blurb is “This has got to be one of the weirdest relationships on the books.” Weird doesn’t even begin to describe it. Not to worry! I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Deena Rae and Slade are both so dark and twisted and when they twist around one another the steam and the sparks are impenetrable and undeniable.

Their relationship may seem weird, twisted, and probably doomed. … but sometimes it takes someone just as twisted as you to understand you. Isn’t that what we’re all ultimately looking for in our other half?

At times, Slade came off as a little whipped by life – in the form of his five-foot-nothing-cougar-mamma – but, it is his mamma. In my humble opinion, every man should be a mamma’s boy to some extent. It shows they have a compassionate heart. Slade is his mamma’s boy and Deena Rae’s perfect twisted man. … but, oh what a ride they take to find that out!

What can I say about Deena Rae. She is a hellcat with a brilliant mind. So, of course, I understand that part of her. She lives life with two names, and please don’t shorten it to just the first. Yep, I understand that one, too. The rest was a great escape from my life to experience something completely different.

I highly recommend this story, this series, this author!

HOTNESS GALORE WITH DANGER, SUSPENSE, FANTASTIC BANTER, A KICK-BUTT HEROINE AND A SEX ON A STICK BAD BOY HERO! So this is only my third Pierce book I have read but THIS one RIGHT HERE is an absolute FAVORITE FOR SURE. Deena Rae is a completely different type of heroine that knows how to kick butt and is tough and almost scary bad a**. I really liked how she handles things and how she takes no crap from anyone. And Slade...WOW! Sexy, protective, sweet and seemed to be in a pickle, he didn't disappoint either. And the chemistry...WAY OFF THE CHARTS HOT!

The sexual tension and passion between Slade and Deena Rae was incredibly steamy, sexy, and just HOT as F**K! Seriously I nearly went up in flames with some of the scenes. And when it comes to the danger and action...matched perfectly with the romance. It was downright ELECTRIC! I now CAN'T WAIT to go back and read the books I have missed in this series because DAMN I am HOOKED on these Pierce Security books.

Anne Conely had me LOVING this book from chapter 1. She wrote a great story with phenomenal characters, wonderful writing, and HOT HOT HOT romance and heart thumping action. I give Bond a SERIOUSLY AWESOME FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Deena Rae is a total badass and Slade is yummy.
I’m completely addicted to both characters and like with every Pierce Securities book I read, re-evaluating my favorites. I guess they’re all my favorites!
Only Conley can design SO many characters that are so lovable in so many different ways.

The editing/proofing are professional, only few mistakes noted.
Formatting is gorgeous as always.
Cover is delicious and completely fitting.

I completely loved the beginning stages of Deena Rae and Slade’s ‘courtship’ - if you read the book you’ll understand the quotes around that word. It’s fun and unique and completely fitting of the two characters. Also I could completely feel their feelings for one another as each one fell just a little deeper for the other… this happened pretty quickly and there’s lots of heat along the way. It’s extremely fun watching Deena Rae come to terms with her feelings for Slade, as well as her interactions with the rest of the gang. I wish Deena Rae had her own series, actually.

Just when I thought I had a favorite Pierce Securities book, Anne Conley writes another. This book was fun, exciting, suspenseful, and amazing.

Deena Rae finally gets her first case on her own. She's just supposed to gather information on a dirt bag names Cecil. Her client is suing for full custody and needs evidence of his dirt habits.

Slade lives across the courtyard from Deena Rae. He watches her. He sees everything she does in her apartment, because she has no shades. Tues nights are a lot of fun for him to watch. Deena Rae know Slade watches her so she gives him a show. When they finally meet the chemistry is explosive. They start leaving gifts for each other. They spend time together and start to build trust.

Slade works as a bouncer and borrows money from his boss. Yes, his boss is Cecil. The money is due and he can't pay. So he does some "special jobs" for Cecil.

Deena Rae finds out Slade works for Cecil and tries to get information from him, but he doesn't want her anywhere need the club. He doesn't want her to get hurt.

This twists and turns of this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is not a cliffhanger. You will get all the answers you need. This is such an incredible book. Can't wait for the next one.

I was lucky enough to read the prior version, and then the arc. The subtle changes totally improved this story. Deana Rae was not interested in any relationship at all. Slade was in too deep with his boss to even think of being there for someone else. But somehow these two work their way through their jobs, their attractions, and eventually Slade turning in Deana Rea to his boss, to save his mother. They find their way to forgiveness. Slade has the chance to get to know his brother, who he always thought as stealing his life. Great story.

My first book by this author. Read out of order for the series, as I was reading for errors for the editor. That being said I now need to go back and start the series at the beginning as this book was awesome! I would compare Anne Conley's writing to Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series( which I'm obsessed with) Deena Rae is a strong ,kick ass, sarcastic and extremely smart woman with a sensual side that every woman wants to possess. Slade is an amazing character.. part train wreck, part alpha, part sexy bad ass biker dude which makes me wish the character was named Becca May instead. Lol I was hooked and didn't put it down. Finished it in one sitting. Great flowing story line, amazingly written sex scenes as well as a few different parts that had me both misty and gasping. Loved it!

This book, right here. Deena Rae took the show, and that's not to say that Slade didn't make my panties wet, there is just something about a broken, confident, take no crap heroine who needs the hero in ways she doesn't even realize. The love story between them was so unique that I fell with them. I've never seen this sort of pairing, done with this much class, and it just worked. It's one of those romances that needed to be written like this. I honestly felt like it couldn't have been written in any other way, and after reading it, I understood Anne Conley waiting to put this out right.

SHE DID IT.

I wanted to punch, cry on, love, screw, and slap Slade with equal measure, and I LOVED that. It made him real to me, pulled me in, and forced me to understand him. And Deena Rae? I floved her from the beginning, and cried for her when she couldn't. In a nutshell, this book took m through the emotional spectrum, and I'm looking forward to reading it again. Bravo, Anne. Bravo!

This novel is the sixth in the Pierce Securities series. I have read them out of order, but was not confused or felt as though I was missing out on something. Deena Rae, a former Bail Bonds person, is trying to prove her worth in the male dominated office of Pierce Securities. When her boss finally gives her the lead on a case, she's all in. She works hard to gather Intel, but is distracted by "Mr. Fine A**".

Slade, aka "Mr. Fine A**", is a tenant in the apartment complex where Deena Rae resides. He also works as a bouncer at the same bar that Deena Rae is investigating. Coincidence? In his spare time, Slade finds himself equally intrigued by "Ginger". Deena Rae hates the name Slade taunts her with, but finds it sexy at the same time.

Slade and Deena Rae have pasts that haunt them. Slade has a dad who chose to ignore he and his mom, while Deena Rae's parents died in a motorcycle accident. Slade would do anything to protect or help his mom, even though she doesn't deserve it! It's his sense of responsibility to his mom that gets him into trouble with his mom, boss, and Deena Rae. He knows he's not good enough for Deena Rae, but can't stay away. She KNOWS he's just as bad for her, but she can't stop thinking about him too.

I absolutely LOVED the humor in this novel!!! The sassiness, cute names, breaking and entering, and give and take between Slade and Deena Rae were HILLARIOUS. I highly recommend this novel. It has a twist at the end I didn't see coming. I read a gifted copy of this novel and all opinions stated are my own.

First let me say, I have been waiting for this book since last summer when Anne told me she was going to write a character with my name...at random times she would ask me 'what is your dream vehicle', 'what is your go-to phrase to call someone who pisses you off'? Of course because she and I have known each other for about 4 years she already knew my Diet Coke addiction, my favorite boozy drink that I 'invented' (Filthy F*ckin' Martini) and my notoriously foul mouth.

Anyway, I have been panting for this book. The editor would send me snippets then call me laughing hysterically, all the while telling the beta readers and proofers to NOT tell me anything about the book. When Anne sent it to me to layout the print edition and format the ebook files she said 'Format it don't read it' because her books seem to suck me in while I am designing them, usually one-third of the way in. So I followed the task-master's instructions, designing the print and ebooks in 7 hours - just so that I could take the rest of the day/night off and read it.

I freakin' loved this book. Deena Rae (feels strange to say this) is kick ass, take charge and competent. She is a bit lost, a bit standoffish and maybe even searching for a connection after being pretty much alone for 10 years. While being a nosy-neighbor she spies Mr. Fine Ass through her camera's viewfinder and he revs her motor.

A completely believable courtship ensues (well, at least believable for me if no one else), a bit of tit for tat and lots of sexual tension. The characters don't immediately jump into bed at first meeting. My favorite characters from the other Pierce Securities - Simon, Hollerman, Zack - are all there and Deena Rae holds her own against them. A female that works in a male dominated field yet still has her femininity, she is great with the guys.

There were some sticky situations, angst and some heartbreak to fuel the story-line. Anne Conley writes amazing stories, believable and lovable characters who leave you wanting more. With Bond, she delivers a heroine unusual in the realm of romance but someone you might know and actually be friends with in real life....and I am not just saying that.....

Bond by the wonderful Anne Conley was such a great book. This is Book 6 in he pierce securities series. I have loved every single one of them but this one was different. We have Deena Rae / Ginger who is one strong girl that the best of the best would not be able to handle. She can take just about any man down in a fight.

She is given her first solo case and that's when she sets her eyes on Slade which happens to be her neighbor only little does she know he's closer to the case then she could ever imagine. He works for the club of the man she is investigating.

Somewhere in the middle, Slades father passes away and that's when Deena Rae realizes, the knows how Slade is tied to someone else in her life.

Once she actually meets Slade, they are instantly attracted to eachother but Slade finds himself in a situation and tells her he is a train wreck and cannot be tangled in a relationship at the time.

Will Deena Rae go on that crazy train ride or wait till everything has calmed down.

Such an amazing addition to an already great series!!

An entertaining action packed romance!

Bond is an action packed romance that involves strong willed woman that is determined to prove herself and make her way in a man’s profession. Her strong will is the perfect complement to Slade, the sexy neighbor that she keeps bumping into while on an investigation for a client. Slade and Deena Rae create explosive sparks together. Keeping professional and keeping hands off proves to be almost impossible for either one of them.

Bond was an intriguing and well-written story. There were many twists and turns that formed a believable unique plot. There was a lot of action and just enough romance to keep my interest piqued. Anne Conley really knows how to build up the action and keep your attention to the very end. The characters were well developed and engaging. She did a great job of intertwining the different characters of the series throughout the story. I thought the twist of Zack and Slade was a unique twist that added to the story.

This is another great read by Anne Conley. I recommend Bond to anyone that enjoys reading an action packed romance that will keep you entertained all the way to the end.

Anne Conley's Pierce Securities continues to get better and better. Each book, a standalone, builds each character high and higher but still included the first group so we are learning more about everyone.

Deena Rae is a female in a male world and is proving to herself, in many ways she belongs there. She is also fighting for the right to do so. She meets her neighbor and all bets are off. He betrays in, and while she understands the reasoning behind, she has a hard time dealing with it. Deena Rae is a newer character but she is perfect. She is kicks ass, yet somewhat insecure. But she does not let her or anyone else's preconceived notions make decisions for her.

The thing I loved most about this book is the humor. I will never think of YouTube the same way again. I mean the things you can learn. This is another book I would go and get without hesitating.

This is the 6th book in Anne Conley's Pierce Securities Series. This book was a page turner from the second I started it. I really couldn't put it down, since I just HAD to know what happened next...then next...then next. It was such an awesome read. If you like a tough, take no crap kind of woman who happens across a super hot train wreck of a guy, well then, this is the book for you!!
The chemistry between the 2 is so awesome to see unfold. They kept trying to one up each other, which was really fun to see.
You will not be disappointed with this story!!! What are you waiting for? Get reading people! *wink*

I wanna be a bad@$$ like Deena Rae! This book is not your typical story of H rescuing h...quite the contrary. Deena Rae is a private investigator, whose company was hired to investigate a seedy club owner. Little does Deena know that her neighbor, aka Mr. Fine Ass, is a bouncer at the club. There was also another twist in their connection, but no spoilers here ;-)...lots of drama, some death but eventually got HEA. Think that I want Zack's story next.

Just when you think this series can't get any better, it does. I fell in love with this book and the characters from the start. Deena Rae has badassery written all over her. She takes control of this book from the beginning to the end and doesn't take crap from anyone and isn't afraid to let loose. Slide is a train wreck and tells her from the beginning, but she doesn't let that stop her from getting what she wants. This book has everything I look for in a book: action, romance, and a kickass heroine who doesn't stop

Great add to the series. Deena Rae and Slade star in this book. Deena is getting the lead in a case and things just get crazy. Don't want to give anything away so I'll just say both kick butt and complement each other very well. When they get together it's intense and hot. If you love the series you will want to re-read this one over and over. Can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

I am a big fan of the Pierce Securities series and this book did not disappoint. I felt real empathy with both of the lead characters and you really route for them being together. I think Slade actually is now one of my favorite characters in this series, Deena is also up there too. Definately now my second favorite couple now!

Deena Rae is the perfect mix of kick butt and girlie!
She is definitely a role model!
Now Slade!!! I wanted to crawl in there and hug him, love him, smack him and Love him again!!!
Great story and we learn a little more about the other characters at Pierce!
I can't wait to see we have in store for us next!!

This book is amazing. Something you don't read every day. Deena Rae is a take no prisoners, offer no apologies, lock picking sex having badass. And I loved her character. Mr. Fine Ass aka Slade is my kind of guy, a little bit bad a whole lot naughty. You have to read this book. It has everything from sexy scenes to suspenseful danger. I can't wait for the next Pierce Securities book!!!

The story is about Deena Rae and Slade. Deena Rae works for Pierce Securities and is a very strong heroine. I love reading this story because was super strong in everything she does. The hero and heroine are neighbors and soon will start working together. They are great together and complement each other very well.

Talk about a wild train ride! A crazy courtship, amazing sex and a whirlwind of Wow! All in one book! I love this series and this just keeps me wanting more.
