I really like this series and the smaller novellas are a nice little tidbit to tide one over until the next in the series comes along. I enjoyed all the action in this one but it felt a little fast and tidy for what actually happened. It was interesting to see Martin and Thay bonding over their violent little mission and I thought the author does a good job of highlighting that main difference between Stone and those like Emily and Thay. I doubt Emily Martin would ever refuse to sit out a mission such as this if the roles were reversed. I think the emotional impact for Martin on this mission was a lot to introduce into such a small story so it will be interesting to see if there is more fallout in the next book. I'm really looking forward to reading the next one.
