A Starr gone. A team betrayed.

You never know who your true friends are until a gun’s pointed at you. One will take a bullet, and the other will pull the trigger. Starr learned that lesson the hard way.

The perfect smile. A killer attitude. General Treadwell wanted nothing more than to turn Starr Bishop into the ideal assassin, but she’s far more valuable as Jessica Chamberlain, granddaughter and heir to Chamberlain Chocolates. Luckily, he’s found two enthusiastic replacements. They lack Starr’s intelligence, but no matter, they possess their own weapons of persuasion along with a flair for the dramatic, and that’s never a bad thing.

Di, along with Christian, Frank, Ben and Coda, are determined to keep Starr safe, but the depths of betrayal crack the very foundation of the team. When Starr becomes a pawn in a game of power, money, and manipulation, Di channels her WWSD (What Would Starr Do) to rally the team. She owes her best friend that much. No... More.

Kim once smashed into a tree while skiing. The accident led to a concussion, a cracked sternum, temporary notoriety as a sixth grader returned from the dead, and the realization that fictionalized accounts are way more interesting than just slipping on the ice.

An unhealthy obsession with conspiracy theories combined with a love of travel and happily ever afters led Kim to write her YA novel, Starr Fall, where a secret organization decides 17 year old Starr Bishop is not only the model student, but the ideal assassin. While in hiding, Starr meets dark, moody, and dead sexy Christian Evergood. Cue the swoon worthy music. But it’s not all happily ever afters for Kim. Her NA novel, And Then He, explores the dark and scary corners of the human psyche. Following a night of innocent flirting with a handsome stranger, Tiffani finds herself in the midst of a nightmare she can’t escape. And Then He is available now through Amazon and other major book retailers. Starr Fall will debut November 2016 with Inkspell Publishing, followed by Starr Lost in January 2017.

When she’s not doing something writerly, Kim can be found jumping into snow drifts with her three kids, husband, and dog. She’s careful to avoid trees.

Starr Gone is the third, but not the final installment in the Starr Fall Series. I'd say this series is improving as there was a lot more action and angst in this one compared to the previous two books and I just flew through it.

It picks up exactly where Starr Lost ends. Starr and her group of friends have come a long way trying to avoid getting caught by the vicious Organization and also working head on to expose its true identity and cruel intentions to the world.

Quite a few revelations are made and the plot gets really moving. There is bloodshed and betrayal, new found love and friendship and also addition of a new enemy. The progress in character development deserves a mention as well. Starr gets tougher, no longer solely relying on Christian to save her. I really liked the way she handles every adverse situation that is thrown her way. Di was another character that sees some major developments and I was happy for all that happens to her in this. I might not be making much sense, but I want to keep this review spoiler-free.

So, all in all Starr Gone was certainly an interesting read and I will be looking forward to the next book in line. There is a cliffhanger, well almost a cliffhanger towards the end, but isn't that the whole point of a series, to keep the reader guessing.

3 STARRS

Starr Gone is the third book in the Starr Fall series and it picks up right where we left it in the Starr Lost instalment. What I loved about this book is the character development we saw in some characters, the twist and turns, the suspense and the adventure , as well as the romantic and the friendly elements. I truly enjoyed this one, but there was something that annoyed me and I hoped it would be a temporary blip in the whole book, but it wasn't and that made me enjoy it less than the previous books.

"With Christian by my side, I can get through anything. The Organization. My grandparents. My psychotic friends. Anything."

Other than that, I can't wait to see the continuation of the series, because Kim's writing is one I enjoy and it grips me and has my attention while reading her books. It's always a pleasure, so I really hope that blip will be over sooner than later. Oh and did I mention how much I enjoy reading her secondary characters and even the villains of the story? I have come to the point to be suspicious of everyone. I don't know who plays a game, who's a good guy pretending to be bad and vice versa. I love that I can't judge so easily these characters and can't wait to read more about them! :)

For all those romance junkies, those who search for any worship every couple even when they are reading a sci-fi novel; may i recommend to you Starr fall series; this one will definetly satisfy your expectation and leave you wanting more.

Right after talking to Kim Briggs, i knew that I am going to love these series; she’s just so friendly and loving, I couldn’t help but love her.

Starr releaze that not all her friends actually love her, some of them do of course, but others would do anything to get rid of her. With her little team by her side, she tries to fight the organization, but with so many shocked events, she’s not sure that she can win, not anymore; specially when the general and her grandparents are on the same side.

The action is this part is way more than i can take; as i said I am a romance junky, so my favorite book is still the second one, but book 3 is just as perfect.

Just reading about the whole team, acting together to not only save star, but to save each other too; it’s just so satisfying.

The book has so many plot twist that my mind couldn’t process i had to read some pargraphs twice to get into it, and not in a bad way; defintely not a bad way , I had fun reading it !

I don’t think i can talk more without spoiling the series, so i guess that’s it :))

QUOTES <3:

"
He lifts my chin, so we’re face to face. “Yes, I did. Di, I know the day of the shooting I told Starr I was in love with her, and I was, but it wasn’t the all-consuming obsession it was back home. Ever since our bus ride down south, I’ve been thinking about someone other than Starr, someone who has become her own person, someone I enjoy spending time with, someone who is the exact opposite of Starr in many ways, that someone is you, Di. I am crazy for you, and it is not the Florence Nightingale complex—that I promise you.” "

"No one has ever declared his feelings to me. No one has ever spoken to me with such unbridled honesty. My face, my neck burn with fire. A fire I cannot hide. A fire I cannot extinguish. I don’t trust myself to speak. How could I? I nod like an idiot."

" At least they’ve confirmed where I stand…in the back pasture, ankle deep in horse manure. Oh wait, that’s not right. I’d smell like shit. I’m a china doll to be placed in a vacuum-sealed glass case on the very top of the tallest shelf to collect dust and grow fragile from lack of use. "

Part 1: No spoilers! (Smaller review. Read below for more spoiler related thoughts)

Guys! This book was so good that I started it this afternoon around 3:00 pm and have just now finished it!

Where do I even begin? I’ve lowkey been sitting here trying to think about where I should start! Firstly, the cliffhanger of the previous book left me quite scared to begin reading this one. But….. I loved how it continued straight from where it left off previously and interested you with the action straight away! The whole book had me on edge alot of the time which is awesome because there’s nothing worse than trying and forcing yourself to read a book that isn’t interesting!

Throughout this series so far, I have really enjoyed the character and relationship development. I’m so obsessed with the characters and how they have made so much progress with friendships, relationships and even themselves!

I kind of related to Di throughout these past two books. Not because of her goth-like character or looks, but because of her thoughts. I really enjoy reading more about characters when you can relate to them in whatever sort of way.Speaking of Di, I loved the continuation as using her and Starr’s POV! I found this much more interesting!

I barely know what else to say without giving anything away! Read below further for more spoiler-related thoughts! But first, my overall ratings!

The first book for me was 3 stars and the second 4. This one for me was a 4.5! I fell in love with the characters even more with each progressing book! If only I had hardcopies of these! Speaking of covers, these ones are gorgeous!

THANK YOU SO MUCH KIM! I enjoyed this series so much and cannot wait to see what the next installment brings!

Now a few spoilerish things!

When I read the first book, I found it kind of abrupt how suddenly Sami and Jody were ‘dead’ and were no longer apart of the books! I also had a strange but positive feeling that they would return! How very right I was! I find it so interesting that they’re angry at Starr which has a pretty major impact on the book and storyline! I hope they are somehow faking their hatred towards Starr and they are somehow on her side to help save her!
ALSO!!

Frank and Di?! YES PLEASE! My current relationship ship! I love them both so much and I adore Frank even more!
And Jude? WHAT A TRAITOR!!! How rude of him! I was just beginning to like him when I found out he wasn’t even with the group! Well I guess that’s what keeps the storyline interesting! 😉

Starr gone is the third but not the finale book to the Starr Fall series written by Kim Briggs.
I thought Starr gone was the finale book to the series but when I discovered it wasn't I was left a little annoyed and hoping the author doesn't drag it out for to long. I also felt excited because I could continue yet again to live with the characters of the starr fall sereies.

The third book was full of exciting changes, heart speeding moments and intense endings. If I had to sum it up in one sentance that would be it.
Scores:
Romance: 4/5
Violence 3/5
mystery: 3.5/5
Magic: 0/5
Swearing: 3/5
Writing: 4/5
Emotions: 4/5
Story line 5/5
Ending: 4/5
Publishing: 2/5
Book cover: 5/5
Over all score: 4/5
Writing:
The author picked up right where she left off from the second book which I always enjoy because I know exactly what is happening. The writing has improved yet again from the second book I was able to feel the characters emotions and get inside there heads and live as them not with them.
The author includd a lot of religous point of views. This was different as most books don't include religon. I did feel she made some belifes sound 'wrong' as such making one point of view in favour compared to another point of view. (we were inside a charcters head so I guess she did a good job in that way)
If anything I'd change would again be the swearing as a personal prefference.
I've loved through out the whole seires how the author kept her writting simple, followable and easy to read.
Publishing:
I had this book as an E-book and to be honest I didn't mind it to much this time. I still love paper copies but wasn't as bothered by the e-book this time.
The font was easy to read and despite the un even spacing, following along was not a problem. The book cover is still my favoruite. the colours work well, the photo is eye catching and I just love how dramatic it is.

Summary
All in all this book was good.I found the second one better. The ending has left me wondering what on earth is going to happen, I have some ideas but I'm really not sure.
I would reccoemnd this book to someone who loves action, romance stories. There were also some awesome twists placed in this story which made me enjoy it all the amount more.
Congratulations Kim Briggs on the latest release of the third but no finale book of the Starr Fall sereies!
It was very good and I'm looking forward for the fourth book!!

Happy reading,

Please give me a second to compose myself! I was not prepared for this… I’m still trying to process! Holy crap! Sigh… Deep breath

*** SPOILERS ALERT ***

Okay, so we pick up where we left off and I find that Di is my spirit animal. Any girl who carries a taser and pepper spray is a girl after my own heart! We find out Sam and Jody aren’t dead, they’re working for the Organization, Jude is the turncoat I thought he would be, and I’m worried about Christian. After finding misleading information, Starr has gone missing. Unfortunately, she was taken by the Organization and they want to return her to her “loving” grandparents in exchange for money… naturally. How will Christian and the team rescue Starr? Can they rescue her?

This book is quite the page turner! It kept me on the edge of my seat, had me feeling a range of emotions, needing to know what happens next. The character development was outstanding! Starr and Di came into their own. They’ve become strong young women and I was especially proud of the development of Di. She didn’t feel like a secondary character in this story, which gave me a higher appreciation of her. I won’t lie, there were times Frank annoyed me, but I understood his thought process and his reasoning. The development of the team independent of Starr was astounding. They were organized and ready for anything! With the way the story ended, they will have to be ready and down for anything!

Can we discuss the ending for a second? I wasn’t ready for this story to end! And definitely not the way it did! The anticipation is KILLING me! What I love about this series is each book is stronger than the previous and it continues to get stronger. Each character serves a purpose; the purpose may not be clear in the beginning, but when you find out… you are shocked and can’t wait to find out what will happen next. And just when you think you know what will happen, there’s a twist. I don’t know if I can wait this long for the fourth installment, but I do wait with excitement of where this story will go and I look forward to it!

This book was everything! I absolutely loved the character development of Starr throughout this book, I've waited so long for my favourite female to show just what she can do by herself and we got that and so much more! The writing style once again kept me so enthralled I didn't want to put it down, and I love the direction that the narrative has taken compared to the previous books, it feels so new and refreshing and I can't guess at all what's going to happen!! I love Di and how strong she becomes and the relationship between the team without Starr being able to lead them as she has done, it's nice seeing the team as a whole rather than focusing on Starr! The end was so unexpected and I WAS NOT READY for it to end there! I love this book so much and this series just won't stop getting better and better! KIM IF YOURE READING THIS THANK YOU FOR THIS SERIES AND FOR RUINING MY EMOTIONS BUT PLEASE CAN YOU WRITE THE NEXT BOOK??? 😘

Once again, what a fabulous series this is!

Starr is such a headstrong woman by now. Running from the Organization for this long has taught her many things, sadly she didn't learn how to drop "trusting" from her personal description. When Christian and "shouldn't trust that guy" Jude run out to get pizza I just new another crazy twist was coming! Nothing could have prepared me for what came next though. Bottom line, power-hungry, no-emotion showing, southern grandparents are going to be in your nightmares! And as for Di, her POV has become vital to keeping up with what is going on, but also a refreshing beat when Starr is going through so much inner turmoil.

Kim Briggs is an absolute genius when it comes to keeping her readers salivating for what comes next.

I love love love this series!!! Rarely do I start a series that stays as strong as the first. Not only has each installment been just as enjoyable as the first but I actually think each book was better than the last! I love that in this book Di became a major POV. She's one of my fave characters and getting to know her better in this book made me happy. And the cliff hangers are killing me! I cannot wait for book 4!!!!!

This is the third part of the series and it is far from over. More revelations have sufficed which is a surprise both to Starr and her friends. It seemed like the General have more pawns in the game. Now, what would Starr do? What would her friends do?

I am not yet sure how I feel about all the things that happened in this installment. There were some good things and some parts which I am not too happy. I did suspect that some of Starr's old friends may make a comeback because their disappearances were very suspicious. True enough, they're back. In as much as I may have suspected it but then I was still surprised when they showed their faces. It turned out, they were not really her friends. In fact, they were so jealous of her. Yes, those fake friends are very common in real life too. But don't worry, Starr has a solid set of very loyal friends who will scour the ends of the earth to find and rescue her. They will never abandon Starr.

At this point, I'm not sure who's using who when it comes to the people after Starr. Between her family and the General's group, each party seems to have their own agenda and Starr is in the middle of it. Talk about the proverbial between a rock and a hard place. It's definitely where Starr is. But I'm guessing, Starr is just waiting for the best opportunity also to make her move. I know she will come up with something. Also, her friends are not just lying around helpless. They are planning her rescue also. So, it's a wait and see for the next book. Hopefully, the General's evil plans will finally be exposed and he would be punished for all his crimes. And Starr would finally be able to stop running for her life and be a carefree teenager again.

With regard to the part where I was not too happy, we'll, there was a part that annoyed me. Of course, with the way the story has turned, not all of them are really in Starr's favor and it's a bit frustrating because I thought everything is going good for them. Also, some of the villains are really annoying and I can't wait to see if some of them will change their loyalties. It seemed like, some are not too happy where they are and may just be the key that Starr needs to get out of her current prison. We'll see.

All in all, it's a surprising turn of events. I did not totally picture it but as I said, I did have an inkling that something like this may turn out. But then again, it was still a shock. Hopefully, good things are going to happen in the next book. So far, I have no idea or any theory as to how Starr and her friends are going to outsmart the General but I know they will come up with something. I hope it's going to be as surprising as what happened here. Something that would be totally unexpected.

I give this book 3/5 guns.

I'm a china doll to be placed in a vacumm-sealed glass case on the very top of the tallest shelf to collect dust and grow fragile from lack of use.
