The Dream Sequence: Book One

Rate this book
A magical realism adventure that thrusts young adults into a spiraling revenge story where the least they have to deal with is exposing the fact that they have psychic powers.

Emil has the rare ability to create a dream-like reality where his mind takes physical form. In this world lives a girl, alone. Closed off from the outside world to everyone but Emil. At night, on a hunt for supernatural discovery, Emil watches his two best friends disappear right before his eyes and feels a pain that he hadn't felt in years. His promise to her is what brings him to confront another ability user he didn’t expect to see, someone he knew was dead. After being alone in a dream world for years Leon seeks to get out by any means necessary. Even if it means killing his once best friend. Even if it means killing Emil.

I grew up with a love for stories and started my writing while serving in the US Army, while not taking it too seriously. After being encouraged by my college writing professor, I jumped into the world of novels. While working on my first manuscript, I was a lead writer for monkeysfightingrobots.com’s anime section for a few years.

Speaking of, I'm an avid consumer of anime. Much of my inspiration comes from this medium, and I could talk for hours about works like NEON GENESIS EVANGELION or KILL LA KILL. One day, I wants to write something akin to the MACROSS franchise with music integrated into the story. I’d also love to write a Disney musical too.

In my downtime, I can be found lip-syncing to K-pop, playing with my over-energetic Corgi, and throwing down in TCG’s ala Magic The Gathering and Weiss Schwarz.

At the heart of all my works, you’ll find larger-than-life characters that are just like you and me. I want you to realize just how amazing you are and can be. My stories are here to lift you up and those around you. Now you know. That’s me. Pretty cool, right?
