The author shares what he learnt from taking care of his parents for an extended period of time, as his parents need substantial care after multiple strokes in their early 60s. Chapters in the first third, with practical tips, are more welcomed than the rest but this book can use a brief summary: “Be a selfless saint and devote your life to your crippled parents”, which is clearly only applicable to a narrow sector of his readers. To be fair, he did direct readers to his other books on mindfulness and positive thinking but the one here may work a bit better as memoir than a self-help or how-to book.
