Honest ARC Reveiw
As this is my first ARC Reveiw and first book read by Pavan Kaur, I wasn't sure if I would be able to get into the book. But boy was I wrong! I loved everything about this book, the storyline was soo good, it kept me on my toes that I didn't want to put it down. It has just right right amount of BDSM and romance to make you fall in love with Ava Banks and Kevin Dark.
Ava has a dark past and scared to get close to any man. She works for Mr. Dark as an intern at Dark Media. Mr. Dark takes one look at Ava Banks and knew he had to have her as his sub no matter what it takes.
As Ava and Mr. Dark continue there relationship as sub and dom trying to keep it away from work, things start to get complicated. As they are both trying to keep things hidden and under control, Ava's past comes back to haunt her.
Kevin Dark will do anything to keep Ava Banks out of harms way, even if that means taking matters into his own hands. As Ava is now free from her past, her and Mr. Dark work on what they truly want from each other.

Mr Dark is another great read from Pavan Kaur.

They arrange a date where Mr Dark ask's Ava to be his submissive and keep the arrangement separate from work. Will Ava take a chance and be Kevin's submissive, can she keep her heart out of it or will her past come back to haunt them both? You will have to read it find out.
The plot kept me hooked throughout and once I started I didn't want to but it down. Both characters are likable and they had great chemistry together. There are plenty of twists and turns in the story that keep you guessing how things will turn out. We are taken on a journey with the characters, there is emotion, romance and humour all thrown into the story. The book also has just the right about BDSM thrown in with the mixture of romance. This was a great read, that I really enjoyed and fans of sexy romance stories will enjoy reading this.

If you love Christian Grey, you are going to really like Kevin Dark.....

I really like how Pavan Kaur incorporated a few twists into this steamy read, it kept me invested in the characters and the story.

I love discovering new authors and the worlds they create. The cover of Mr Dark had me internally going, ‘Well, hello there.’ Then I read the blurb and thought, ‘I’ll have some of that please’ lol.
Mr Dark is so much more than a D/s romance story. For me, it’s about a man finding a woman that turns his carefully controlled world upside down. And, do you know what I loved most? For once, it wasn’t the male MC with the issues. Mr Dark is just a man that knows what he wants and has *coughs* certain predilections *snorts*

Ava Banks is a girl with a dream, and nothing, and no one will stand in the way of her realising it. Her internship is just the next step in reaching her ultimate goal; running her own magazine. She just didn’t bank (see what I did there, lol?) on catching the eye of Mr Dark.
However, events in Ava’s past have left an indelible mark. Her inner demons are very real and trust is not something that comes easily to her. Can she trust in Mr Dark and the fact he wants more?
Mr Dark (Kevin) was the stand out character for me in this story. He’s a man that knows and gets what he wants in all things. And, what he wants above all else is Ava. He’s prepared to go to war for her if needed and will protect her at any cost.
I had a hard time connecting with Ava. I can’t even begin to imagine what she’s been through but all the to-ing and fro-ing with Kevin started to rub me the wrong way and interrupted the flow of the story. However, Kevin always pulled me through lol.
I enjoyed my first journey into this author’s writing and look forward to reading more of her work. I hope we get to read more about Mike. I can’t wait to meet the woman who gets him to change his playboy ways *winks*

Mr. Dark doesn't do the "girlfriend thing" but he does know how to get what he wants. He's successful and some may say even demanding. He's totally the one in control behind closed doors. Running his own company alongside his father isn't the only place where he calls the shots. Ava, is just about to find out for herself just how serious Mr. Dark can be.

At first glance you would think that this was another 50 Shades type book. But as I got to reading I really got Invested in the characters. Mr. Black only had D/s relationships, so when he met his Intern Ava that's exactly what he wanted from her. And as she started understanding she was ok with that. She had plans and a relationship would get in the way of that. As he got to know Ava he started wanting more and couldn't understand that. She did too but thought why would he want someone like her. Then he found out about her past and was determined to keep her safe. Sometimes you can fight what's meant to be. They both had to find that out. I would have liked to known more about Ava's past. She's a very strong and brave woman, and I would have loved to known her journey. Everybody needs a Mr. Dark who wants to take care of them and keep them safe.

I honestly didn't know how to feel about this novel at first.
This is a new adventure the author plunged right into.
It was so worth every minute, I spent in the pages of this
literary genre.
We find ourselves among two souls that have emotionally shutdown.At first I wasn't a fan of, Kevin Dark, I found him unlikable at the beginning. He is a dom, instantly drawn to his new intern, Ava.... She is hiding from many things in her life and just wanted a new start..Ava, does find herself drawn to the egotistical leader....
Pavan, is an author who never disappoints.
This is a novel worth the time.
As you read the mind wonders if he will ever redeem himself, if he will break down walls, if his submissive will ever truly let go! These are the questions running wild as you read each word......

Wow, Wow, Wow I absolutely loved this book the chemistry between the two characters was immense, I loved the way the way Ava said aloud all her thoughts it gave the story just the right amount humour in between the emotional turmoil that Ava had lived through.... It had the right amount of BDSM in and it made a nice change to see that Mr Dark hadn't got into that lifestyle due to a bad upbringing but he just discovered that side of life and in fact they both had loving family's behind them.
It was a beautiful story from start to finish I loved the way Mr Dark felt like he instantly needed to protect Ava and how she grew to trust him, Love him and let her walls down as he did the same.
Another amazing book from Pavan, I can't wait for even more.

Mr. Dark is the my first read with author Pavan Kaur and I’m happy to say that I enjoyed my venture into Mr. Dark. I didn’t know what to expect when I first started reading Mr. Dark, it started off slow for me but once I got a quarter of the way the trough the book the story picked up and I could wait to see how it would end. This is a forbidden romance between a boss and his intern. The characters are well developed and the chemistry between Mr. Dark and Ava is intense. This book does have a BDSM element to it so if you are dominant with that I wouldn’t recommend this book for you. However, if you like a dominant alpha male and a little kink in your reading then this book is an excellent choice.

What an absolutely awesome book. I cried so hard with this book. This book can be enjoyed time and time again. It is amazingly intense and the author prepares you for the journey for you to take alongside the characters really well. The characters and story development were perfectly done. This book was extremely well written and has fast become of my favourite books. I will definitely want to one click future releases from this author. This book was full of different emotions with many twists and turns in the book that will keep you guessing what is going to happen till the very end.I have the feeling that I am going to be seeing some special works coming from this author.

what a great read. We all need a Mr Dark in our lives. I loved how he knew what he wanted and went for it. The chemistry between him and Eva was hot, but she made him work for it just a little. the flow of the story was on point with just enough BDSM. This was a first for me reading Pavan but not my last.

I enjoyed this book. I really enjoy this genre and I think that Pavan wrote it well. Kevin Dark was as hot as all get out and I really liked the character than Ava was. I'm hoping we get more of this genre from this author

I enjoyed the story line.. They seemed to get together pretty quick. They both had a past that caused issues with them moving towards a series relationship. There is a bit of a mystery that is solved. Ava has an unhealthy obsession with cake :)

Pavan is a new author to me. I really enjoyed Mr. Dark. Once I started reading, I could not put it down. Ava works at Dark Media. Her boss notices her,after that he knows he must have her. I like how she thinks out loud. Can Ava get over her past? The book was good, at times it was funny and other times it made you mad. It has tons of sex and a hea. You must read you will not be disappointed.

Ehhh
This was an okay read. I felt the story and characters needed more development. It was somewhat rushed at times. I felt Ava was an okay heroine. Yes, she was strong, independent, and a fighter. Her story of her past was horrible, so I applaud her for never giving up. My problem with her was that her thoughts and actions contradicted each other throughout the book. She wanted to keep a simple relationship and claimed she didn't want more, but then the next page or so she claims she wants Kevin to make them official. Then, she will tell him that a staged breakup should happened, but is upset when he agrees with her. That is why Ava is not my favorite heroine. We need more females to say what they want and stand by it. I hate the cat and mouse games, especially when dealing with grown adults. Kevin, was okay as well. I wish there was more development overall. This had potential to be a great book, but fell flat.

If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey, you will love this book. In Mr. Dark, you will find out just what Mr. Dark is capable of. A side of him that you would think was much more sinister that what he really is. You will see a side of Ava, that you didn't know existed. You will see Ava open up to new ideas, and new feelings. You will also feel the emotions in this book. EVERY emotion.
I couldn't put this book down, and when I did, I was constantly thinking about the book. I just couldn't get it out of my head. Pavan has written a book that shows the raw emotion and the reality that is of the BDSM world. She introduces you to just a small portion of the world. Great story, but lots of grammatical errors
I’ve read a few of this author’s stories and they always give me the feels. This one just had a lot of grammatical errors. I’m not the grammar police by any means, but maybe some editing could help. As for the story, I love that Pavan has strong female characters in her books. Yes, Ava has had some messed up things happen to her, but she was still goal driven, successful, and funny.

Very 50 Shades of Grey-esque. I enjoyed getting to know

Kevin wants a Submissive not a girlfriend he has always felt that there is no room in his life for feelings as he totally forcused on work all the time. Can he convince Ava to be his Sub and can they keep their arrangment strickly outside work….
Ava Banks is a beautiful smart young woman who has a dark past. She was attracted to Mr Dark and couldn’t believe how HOT he was in person when she saw him but that was as far as her thoughts went until her asked her to have dinner with him. Ava had no idea what being a Sub would involve and she agreed to think about it. As these two spent more time together all the little moments they share made things heat up…
Ava embarked in her Submissive role and they spent alot of time together but feelings started to creep in for both of them and they struggled to hide them. At work it was getting harder and Kevin’s family were beginning to ask who was this woman that had him so happy all the time. As always the past always has a way of catching up with us and so Ava’s came back to haunt her. Kevin was not happy about this at all and this is were we saw him desperately trying to control his need to protect her and at this point we saw a man in love………….
This book took me on a journey of every emotion, love , lust, loss, forgiveness and understanding. It had the perfect amount of BDSM and I have to say those sex scenes where on fire!!! I loved how the book went from the beginning of their story and we could see the relationship develop. The characters were fantastic in this book, for me Ava was a true heroine she is quirky and smart. I found her totally lovable and with everything she had been through in her life she came back a strong and independent woman. Ava was like a dream to Kevin she was everything he could possibly want in his life. Together they break down the walls they had build to protect their hearts for years but will it be enough or will they break each other in the process. You will have to buy it to find out LOL…………

Plus, I’m a sucker for a hot and steamy love story. Pavan brings Mr. Dark and Ava’s story to life and also gives the story the perfect amount of sexy!
As Ava’s dominant, Mr. Dark wants to everything he can for Ava. That also means protecting her after finding out about her dark past. I received an ARC for an honest review. This is my first book from Pavan and it definitely will not be my last.
Mr. Dark runs Dark Media. He does not want a woman as a girlfriend, only her submission to fulfill his sexual needs. Ava is an intern at Dark Media and all she wants is to own her own magazine one day. When Mr. Dark finally notices Ava working in his office, he is instantly attracted to her and propositions her to become his submissive. Ava has never done anything like this. She is attracted to him but also afraid she could lose her job if it does not work out between them. Mr. Dark insists she will not lose her job and since Ava is curious and is not looking for a relationship, she agrees.
As their relationship continues, each begin to develop feelings for each other but try to ignore them. Ava is working hard on developing her magazine and dealing with her past which is becoming quite frightening for her. Mr. Dark learns of her troubles and becomes extremely protective of her which Ava is not sure how to interpret.
I loved this story. I loved how protective he is of her and how they each work on dealing with their feelings for each other. I also liked the storyline of Ava’s past. It is different and she fights not to be a victim again. The only thing I would have liked to have seen differently is for them to not get together so fast in the beginning of the book. I wish there would have been some build-up before they started their agreement.
I highly recommend this book especially if you are a fan of FSOG. It’s a sexy standalone and is really a good, quick read.

Mr. Dark was a little bit different from Pavan’s usual books, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I love seeing authors branching out and trying new things. Pavan has decided to venture into the darker world of BDSM.
Initially I wasn’t too sure about it as everything happened so quickly and the chemistry between characters wasn’t quite there yet. There wasn’t an immediate spark, mainly on Ava’s part. Oh sure he’s attractive enough, and of course he’s got the dominant and commanding presence all Dom’s possess; but due to events in Ava’s past, she wasn’t quite ready to let Mr. Dark in to her life fully.
Mr. Dark was searching for a Sub and Ava just happened to cross his path piquing his curiosity. She is his intern, and the relationship screams forbidden, taboo …and a good time. And that is all Ava was in it for initially. She’s very new and naive to the world of BDSM and Mr. Dark wastes no time introducing her to the finer points of the that world.
Initially Mr. Dark was a bit to intense for me and condescending at some points; but as they became comfortable with each other the condescension dissipated and his intensity took on a different focus…Ava and her well being.
Eventually his intense protectiveness of her, becomes so endearing that I found it hard to resist Kevin Dark myself! He definitely lived up the promise he made her when they first entered into their arrangement, when he promised that her and her safety would always be his number one priority.
This is definitely one of those books you’re going to want to get your hands on. It will keep you interested and flipping those pages!

From the minute I opened this book I knew that I was not getting anything else done until I was done. If you enjoyed Fifty Shades then Mr. Dark is a sure win for you!

Ava - All I’ve ever wanted was to own a magazine. Doing this internship at Dark Media wasn’t my first choice. I do what I’m told until I meet him. He wants me, I can see it in his eyes, but he wants more than I can give. He unnerves me; he wants me to submit to him.
How can I say no to him when my heart is saying something else? What if he breaks me?
Will I be able to walk away with my heart still intact when this is all over?
Our Opinion:
Who doesn't love a man who goes from needing no one to desperately needing THE ONE? Initially reading this book I will admit to thinking...another Fifty Shades? As a reader you have to wonder how many times the same storyline can be written and still be a hit. As I got more involved in the story, while there were similarities, I could definitely find the differences...and I learned to appreciate them quickly.
The author was able to pull me in quickly, which I appreciate in anything I read. The storyline outside of the BDSM element was enough to keep me interested and focused. There was an underlying mystery that piqued my attention and enough emotional substance to keep me reading.
Looking forward to what is next from Pavan Kaur.

As I started reading I was getting the 50 Shades feel. Kevin Dark is the power behind Dark Media second only to his father who owns the company. He is self assured, demanding and use to getting what he wants. Ava is an intern who Dark notices one day when she brought him his coffee. He wonders how she escaped his radar but decides that he has to have her. Mr. Dark pursues her and immediately makes a proposition for her to become his submissive and does not relent until she agrees. The pace at which he progresses is dizzying. The sex is white hot, non stop anywhere and everywhere and as panty melting as they come and is all about her pleasure (lucky girl).
Ava wants to have her own magazine one day and is there for the experience and exposure. Little does she know just how exposed she is going to be even bringing her darkest secret to light.
Mr. Dark is enjoying his untouched sub, teaching and training her when things start to change, he starts to change as he falls for her but she seems to be more comfortable as a sub instead of being a girlfriend. He can't be away from her and wants all of her.
This book is full of feelings, there is pain as secrets are revealed from them both as they try to find their way in this relationship. I enjoyed the journey of Kevin and Ava as their intimacy evolved in the steamiest way. As the story progressed the relationship dynamics deepens. Thank goodness there is a HEA.

Ava Banks is a smart woman and has taken on her own despite her past. Working for Kevin Dark is a nightmare and a dream all rolled into one. Hes beautiful -- he oozes everything that Ava does not need to be thinking about.
Kevin Dark is the man behind Dark Media. He is a wanted man in many ways but when Ava comes around he sees someone he wants as his and his only to train -- a sub. Mingling within the work place is not something he should be doing but this woman needs to be at his mercy. Keeping the lines drawn poses a very difficult task.
When the past catches up to Ava -- Mr. Dark needs to decide what he feels. The need to protect her is more than the need to keep her at arms length.
This storyline was decent. I did wish the characters were a tad bit more in depth. I ended up skimming over a lot of the "love" scenes and was more interested in the past coming to find Ava. If you like the Dom/Sub relationship that turns into something more than this is for you.

This was the very first book that I have read by this author. I really had no idea what I was getting into regarding this book. I really wanted to believe that this was another type of fifty shade book but it is far more than that. There is amazing chemistry between the characters in this book. I absolutely loved Kevin and Ava and the relationship that they build. This is a forbidden romance between a boss and his intern. But by the end there is something so much better then what it started out as. This is a very well written enjoyable read. Amazingly intense with just the right amount of DOM/SUB. I highly recommend reading this book.
