He looked down at her and issued his challenge:
Tell me you don't want me to make love to you.
Tell me you're afraid to find out what I'll do next. Tell me, and I'll stop.

She wanted to tell him to leave her alone.
She didn't care if he found out the truth--that she was a woman who was afraid of her own sexuality.

But things had gone too far.
And now she wanted it all.

She had given him her heart, but he cannot give her what she wants.
Now he's about to take the beautiful, historic South Carolina home that had been in her family for generations. And she has no way of stopping him.

The only redeeming factor I can find in this is:
1. It was a freebie.
2. No glaring editing errors.

Price gets more and more unlikeable as the pages turn. And honestly, I find no redeeming qualities in him. I feel no real chemistry between he and Amanda. For her, it started as a teenaged crush. For him? There is no defining moment. It seems to always just be because he wants to have sex. Amanda is fairly spineless, with self worth issues. She simply drifts along from page 1 to the end.

Yes. There is an ever after. But for me as the reader, it’s not a happy one.

This may be the only two star I've ever given

This may be the only two star I've ever given.
This story had great potential, however, it lacks quite a bit.
First off, the POV switching back and forth every other sentence gave me extreme whiplash. Different POVs are great. But not if they're confusing.
My biggest issue is the drinking while pregnant. I mean COME ON!!!!!!! I can even fathom (maybe, possibly, on an alien planet) the mom to be, being so freaked out by something, that she decides one drink won't hurt her or the baby (NOT SAYING THIS IS ACCEPTABLE).
But the fact that no one stopped her? Say like, dad to be? Who was at least trying to be there every step of the way?
I get may a tiny sip at the wedding. To make it look like she was enjoying her champagne. But then we go on honeymoon and drink wine ?
NOT OKAY.

My other issue is the "big secret".
Seriously, is the fact that he was married before REALLY that big of deal?
That situation explains much about his carefree, bachelor days. But there are zero ties to it.
And yes, the ex is b**ch. And Amanda was stupid for not letting Price talk about it.
Then she finds out they were married before, but gets missed because he didn't tell her. This same woman who going to keep his child from.
And then she still doesn't want to hear him explain.

There have only been maybe two books I've ever taken the time to complain about.
And while I, believe it or not, like this story, there many things, as mentioned, that need improvement.

Worst book. Nothing happen in this novel. Felt like the author was inspired by "Nobody's baby but mine" novel.

Good book

The book unfolds how love can be persistent even after misunderstanding and past life incidents. Good book to read though.
