I read Dying Days 8 in one day. The story was good and it progressed the series in the right direction, honestly it felt like it was just bidding time for the last block buster in the series. This book did however set up nicely, the conflict between Mother and Son and it should prove to be an epic battle in the end. Although there was action, it was not the level of gripping the edge of your seat action that we have come to associate with this series and Mr. Armand Rosamilia's work.
I did enjoy the banter between Darlene Bobich and her estranged son. I must admit she probably handled the little snot better than I would have and her reply to him made me laugh at times. I love her character because she is so down to earth and respond in a "real" realateable way. Mr. Rosamilia has pulled the heart strings and makes you feel for her plight.
I was a bit surprised that a character that has been like a thorn in my side is turning out to be a character I now like.Who would have thought that Tosha would become the voice of reason? Certainly not I. LOL I am looking forward to the final book to end this series. It has been years in the making and Mr.Armand Rosamilia has lead us down so many interesting paths in this series. I am on pins and needles to see how it ends.
