The plot was good, but the execution lacking. I enjoyed it, but I won't read it again.
And for those reading it because it's shonen ai, it has the tension of budding feelings, but it's completely up for interpretation if there are romantic feelings involved or if it's just a deep platonic bond.

the story contains a lot of plotholes and there are things that are left unfinished. not only that, but the plot did a whole 180 right around the final chapters, creating more confusion about how the story would end.

either way, this was entertaining to read, and the main character (ren) is super likeable and funny. the ending left me absolutely heartbroken though, and i wish it had ended differently :(.
