Risk Be Damned is part of the Best-Selling Kurtherian Gambit Series
Risking One's Heart is often harder than Risking One's life.
Jennifer is in a bind, and that doesn't even stop to consider she got herself stuck right in the spider's castle.
No, she did something a little rash, more for herself, than anything else. The problem is she knows she has hurt her very new boyfriend and God only knows how he was taking it.
The reunion with a man over a thousand-years old might be a bit tense.
However, at the end of the day, Jennifer and Stephen are part of the Queen's team and while the emotions for each other run high, they will get the job done.
Along with everyone else on the team.
While all of this is going on, the Queen has a special set of purchases that are wanted by others, so they can track where she is.
And team BMW are trying to figure out who can brew the best beer of all.
Damned Into Hell is part of The Kurtherian Gambit Universe set between books 13 and 14. Loosely, these three three years are called "The Dark Years" or "The Lost Years."
The Dark Years - when the Trials and Tribulations of being merciful were shouldered by Bethany Anne and her people.
Natalie Grey grew up in rural New England, surrounded by a lot of vegetables and relatively little excitement. Therefore, she was obliged to make up excitement by pretending to be a knight, mage, jet-setting international assassin, jedi, or (occasionally) a shape-shifting dragon. She read everything she could get her hands on, from Lord of the Rings to Modesty Blaise, and eventually started writing her own stories full of what-ifs and snarky put-downs. Now she lives with her two German Shepherd mixes in the frozen wilds of Minnesota, and does a lot of inventive swearing while she shovels.
Jennifer is undercover as a scientist. Stephen is going nuts with worry. Nathan tries to deal with Irina's old pack in Bulgaria. And Bethany Anne is worried about her shoe shipment. Not a couple of boxes but three containers. Shipping containers.
They take on Hugo and his mercenaries. Yep, they win in style. Great books. Loads of action and plenty of blood. Enjoy!
I can't say enough about Michael Anderle. No matter who he collaborates and write with the stories are always awesome. I can't wait to read what's next in Kurtherian world.
This is more of a “military” style book with sci-fi and fantasy elements. There are vampires, werewolves, soldiers with fighting and some of the fantastic items made but Bethany Anne and her group. Fast, easy reading
I have to admit that I'm enjoying every writer who enriches the tapestry that is the Kurtherian Universe! No exception here! Just as much action, pithy language, creative cursing and OM they didn't just... yes, yes they did just do that! But to find out what That is you have to read the books. No spoilers here. I am an evile woman. Muahahahahahahahahaha! Trust me, come to the Kurtherian side. We have cookies and beer.
Stephen has got his hands full with Jennifer. Not that he minds, much but, when the person you love is also a very independant, kicka*s werewolf, I guess it's a matter of trusting her to know if she needs a hand, or not.
There's a lot going on in this book, and half of Bethany Anne's crew are involved in the search for the research bases that Hugo has established.
If he hadn't been torturing and killing like he was, then Bethany would have ignored him - but he chose to do what he did, and so her crew decided to take him, his employees, and everyone else who turned a blind eye to these horrors, and make them pay - in blood!
I'm really loving this series, which is sitting seamlessly alongside Michael Anderle's Kurtherian Universe. Natalie Grey writes wonderfully well in Michael's universe, and I'm loving every new angle that she shows, where corruption is, at last, getting the payback it deserves!
BTW, I was in stitches reading about the shoe shipment, and it didn't surprise me any that a woman could give us that angle so well! Lol
Purely addictive! And just like those potato chips I'm betting that you'll become hooked on them too. With every one you get a really interesting story with characters that will make you laugh and action scenes that are written so well you can easily picture it in your head! That's important to me, I love it when I've got a mini movie running in my head, reflecting the story that I'm reading. I hope they give you as much pleasure as I get from them.
I have enjoyed this series which explores the romance and some conflict between Stephan and Jennifer. He is a very old vampire while Jennifer is a werewolf of the new millennium. BMW is up to their usual hijinks too. The story also deals with issues of being passive and letting someone else take care of the problem. Following rules for a job you know are morally wrong but it's a paycheck. It is a quick read because you don't want to put it down.
This is book two in series, and it has been great fun to read. Even though I was confused a little by the transformation of a couple of the characters that have become so familiar in the main storyline, it was simply the difference of how one writer interprets another's viewpoint. That in mind, the series so far has been enjoyable, and I will read more from this author.
I'm not good at this which is why I don't write books but the authors of this series, especially Micheal Anderle are capable of drawing you into the stories and making it seem real. I can't wait for each book to take me to a new person or place. I may go broke but I'll try to buy them as fast as you can write them. Thank you for many enjoyable hours. Judy
With one of my favorite characters, Stephen, Natalie has taken the Kutherian Gambit another step further in the Saga. Sure has done a great job with expanding the characters and they are very real and believable. I love the bonus love story as well as seeing the characters blend into other stories as they unfold. Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to more.
I ran through book one pretty fast and really enjoyed it this was just as enjoyable can't wait for number three
Again to summarize I've already read the original 21 kurtherian gambit books and a pile of offshoots all based in the same universe I was reading number 10 of the end game books when I came upon the first one of these so nice to grab something that actually happened earlier in the timelines very enjoyable read
Jennifer is undercover gathering data about Hugo's organization. Her boyfriend Stephen the 1000 year old vampire is fit to be tied with concern about her safety. Their love continues as a palpable stream through the story. The characters feel very real. Will Hsu be taken in by the TBQ organization? I look forward to the next book.
Confession: I'd give this 5 stars for the prologue. Caught me completely off guard and laughed so much that my husband checked in to see what was going on. A best shoes moment if there ever was one!
But it's not all shoes and beer. Favourite characters doing what they do best. Thank you so much.
The next installment of the KG universe, in the form of the series following Stephen and Jennifer, really rocked. Ended up with more issues than it solved however and there are all sorts of places we can go from here tho. Mostly I am continually entertained by the adventures of BMW.... the windup of that tale is gonna be awesome, I just know it is....
The women take on the danger and the men are right there to support them (there may be some macho posturing involved). Bobcat risks all for the live of his life while William and Marcus do the grunt work. I just love how involved team BMW is in this series. A lot of grear moments in this fast paced book!
This book was awesome, the 3 amigos add the humor and Stephan and Jennifer and team add the kickass and BA is the conducter of this orchestra of mayhem,Lol.
I really enjoyed this one. After I studied the timetable my understanding was so much better. I'm still team Michael but really enjoy Stephen and Natalie tale. Team BMW surprised me and really for beer....lol. I can't wait to find out what happens next
As Usual another day lost to reading a Kurtherian Series book LOL and well Lost if I say so myself. This is one of the FEW SERIES that I've had the pleasure to Read thru the Years, That I Thoroughly Enjoy Reading and am looking forward to reading more.
I love the KG universe. I am always sorry when I reach the end of each book as I just get sucked into it. Wow! Hang on and don't blink, or you might just miss something. It is so much fun and fast-paced, you can't put it down.
Another book I couldn't put down. I love reading more about Stephen and Jennifer and their relationship. The humor with BA and her obsession with shoes is highlighted in huge ways and made me laugh out loud. Enjoy! And welcome Natalie Grey. Another author on my list to read.
Stephen and Jennifer are my favorite characters, but Marcus, William, and bobcat are great to and Bethany Anne and shoes oh shoot the whole story is perfect!
