The fifth installment in former National Park Ranger Mark Nesbitt's series of collected ghost stories from the Gettsyburg battlefield and village - an area considered by many aficionados to be the most haunted in America. These are not the fictional species of ghost stories; they are taken from purportedly true accounts, some from older folklore and some more recent. Fairly scarce in signed form. L33n
Mark Nesbitt was a National Park Service Ranger/Historian for five years at Gettysburg before starting his own research and writing company. Since then he has published fourteen books including the national award-winning Ghosts of Gettysburg series. His stories have been seen on The History Channel, A&E, The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, Unsolved Mysteries, and numerous regional television shows and heard on Coast to Coast AM, and regional radio. In 1994, he created the commercially successful Ghosts of Gettysburg Candlelight Walking Tours
For the fifth time Mark Nesbitt has produced a real gem dealing with the ghosts of Gettysburg. At Gettysburg one can almost feel the spirits all around and Mr. Nesbitt has given us five books full of accounts of encounters with these spirits. Only someone who loves Gettysburg could turn out such fine work time and again and all of us who feel a special draw to that place owe him a great debt of gratitude. This fifth book may be the best in the series. Thanks Mark!
Totally enjoyed this book! I love reading about the Civil War and the ghost stories revolving around it. These are phenomenal books and I'm very glad I found them to read. I hope someday to get up to Gettysburg before I can no longer travel.
This is the fifth edition of form NP Ranger Mark Nesbitt's Ghost of Gettysburg. In it he tells the stories that people have shared with him about mysterious experiences at the Battlefield.
Wish I had read this one before our recent trip to Gettysburg. We would have been out on the Battlefield in the evening hours to see if there was anything out there. Lots of good information and a must for any ghost lover intending to tour Gettysburg. I have read 3 volumes so far, and they are all great tales.
