Beth is a woman who marches to the beat of a different drummer. Labeled as the black sheep of her family because her sharp uniqueness, the only one she counts on to have her back is her father... and Wyatt.

Growing up and being friends with Wyatt allowed her to have both someone she could debate with as well as a true protector. Who knows if she would have survived all her antics if he had not been around to save her in the nick of time.

Now, ten years later, accused of embezzling funds, her father ill and unresponsive, and feeling totally alone, she finds her life is in peril. Plus, she is unable to figure out who is after her. Time to contact Wyatt and hire him as her bodyguard. He works for Stealth Security and nothing will help Beth feel safer than trustworthy Wyatt at her side.

Lives are in danger and attempts on their lives are escalating. Beth and Wyatt must work together to avoid being killed while they gather proof in order to indict the guilty parties. Her family could be wiped out unless they carefully plan and execute their next steps.

The Stealth Security series will keep you at the edge of your seats like a thrilling ride. Yes, there is passion and romance that will steam up your glasses, but most of all, it is the fear you experience through these characters that will keep you on edge.

I am voluntarily reviewing this title because it is a thrilling book. Thank you to the author for a copy of this book.

Intrigue, suspense with a fabulous Alpha ex-Navy SEAL delivers kept me turning the page to find out what would happen next. Beth finds herself blamed for embezzling money from her families business which forces her to turn to Wyatt, the love that walked away from her years ago. As they team up to unravel what is really happening at her families business, will they find their way back to love? Wyatt’s family has money, just like Beth’s, but he didn’t want to follow the family plan so he left to join the Navy and make his own way in the world. He is shocked when Beth lands back in his life needing protection. What he believes is a routine body guard job turns into so much more as someone threatens Beth’s life. Loved the mystery to this story, full of twists and turns that kept me guessing as Beth and Wyatt heated up the pages. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I loved book 1 in this series, Cold Peril , and was looking forward to this one. I was not disappointed.
The story centers around Wyatt, ex-Navy Seal, and now a member of the Stealth Security company based in L.A. He comes from a wealthy NY family, but chose a different path for his life. The strong female character is Beth. She also comes from a wealthy NY family, follows her own convictions, and has been fired from the family business after being falsely accused of embezzlement . After an “accident” , she fears someone is determined to kill her. Her only choice is to seek Wyatt, a friend whom she last saw 10 years ago..
This is a fast paced story filled with intrigue, suspense , hunky ex-Seals, strong women, family dynamics, betrayals and let’s not forget, hot romance. What else can you want?
Another winner for Ms Trent. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for her next Stealth Security book.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is a story that pulled me in right away. Beth and the danger that was swirling around her grabs you. I love that she's a strong, smart woman that fights for what is right. I thought Wyatt was a great character, protective yet fun. The story grows, their connection gets stronger and I found myself on the edge of my seat as things unfolded. A must read book in this series!

**4.5 Stars**

Elizabeth (Beth), an accountant in her family's company, may have been born into a wealthy family, but she's tended to rebel against the expectations put upon her because of it. As she's enjoyinga visit with her new friend, Amanda, a journalist, they're on the subway, when Beth notices a man seemingly focused on her friend. As they're separated by a crowd, Beth is scared when she sees the man close to Amanda. That quickly turns to terror and heartbreak as she witnesses that same man push Amanda onto the tracks, resulting in her death. But then Beth starts piecing together things...namely how similar Amanda looks to Beth and that she was wearing Beth's jacket with a logo people associate with Beth. She knows she needs help, possibly a bodyguard, and she can only think of one man she'd trust to keep her safe, just as he had when she was younger.

Wyatt didn't want to join the family business and instead made his own way, by joining the Navy, and then Stealth Security after leaving the SEALs. As Wyatt had just finished an assignment a few days prior, he's unsure what his next one will be. He definitely didn't expect to see Beth, his childhood friend. He hadn't seen her in years, and they hadn't parted on the best of terms. Wyatt is shocked to learn what Beth's family, her brother and uncle, have accused her of and can't help but question if she did it. He's also wondering what she isn't telling him, because there is something she's hiding.

As Wyatt and Beth begin spending time together while he watches over her, both are feeling the attraction, but they're also each determined to ignore it. After crashing her brother, Kyle's, birthday party, Wyatt is more curious than ever, not seeing any physical threat from her family. But then they return to her home and his opinion changes. Wyatt will flush out the attacker and figure out who is behind it, ensuring Beth is safe. At least, being in close quarters, they're finally able to discuss what happened right before he left and make amends, repairing their previous friendship.

"She was special, but unfortunately, she wasn’t his." - Wyatt

Wyatt works to keep Beth safe from further attacks, while trying to discover who is behind them as well as uncovering the full depth of the person's treachery and betrayal. During this time, Wyatt and Beth's friendship is restored and becomes so much more. It doesn't take long before they succumb to the explosive chemistry between them, leaving both wondered what may be next for them.

Can Wyatt protect Beth? How far is someone willing to go to further their own desires? Is Beth's brother involved? Or is he an innocent caught in the middle? Is Beth's father safe or is he too a victim? Will Beth reveal her drawing talent and humor to the world? Or continue living a professional life she doesn't want? Are Wyatt and Beth building a future together? Or will they go their separate ways once Beth is out of danger, having only memories of the one that got away?

One-click now and follow along as two childhood friends who'd lost touch are reunited and realize there's so much more between them then they could've ever imagined. I am loving this series and can't wait to read the next book. I'm hoping it's Hunter's. He intrigues me. Then again, so does Tessa, Stealth's receptionist. On a side note, and this is completely unbiased *wink,* I love this heroine's name, and nickname. LOL

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing and quite extraordinary book. It was very well-written, had lots of intrigue, an exceptional plot and the story just came alive while I was reading it. Elizabeth is an heiress, but in her younger days had been a rebel, leaving her with a reputation for causing trouble; among her hobbies she liked to sketch caricatures and find her way around computers. When Elizabeth’s friend Amanda is suddenly targeted for no reason, Elizabeth wonders why; could it have been a case of mistaken identity? Playing the role of the rebel did not endear Elizabeth to others, even her own family. Now that her father is incapacitated, her brother Kyle runs operations at the shipping company under her Uncle Martin’s supervision. Elizabeth’s family has no faith in her and haven’t for some time, but nothing can prepare her for what she has been accused of; it is beyond the realm of possibility, yet easy for others to believe it of her. It is only now that Elizabeth realises she has few friends and no one she can turn to, except for one man. Wyatt could have had a cushy corporate position in his family’s company, but he wanted no part of it; sitting at a desk all day wasn’t his style. When he retired from the Navy, he wanted a career that suited him; he thrived on danger and enjoyed his job protecting VIP’s. Wyatt cannot believe Elizabeth has sought him out; they have been friends since childhood and now she needs his protection. Elizabeth has unwittingly stumbled on something that puts her life at risk, and danger is at every turn. As the two begin to unravel a plot, they realise that Elizabeth’s Uncle Martin may be embroiled in nefarious and unscrupulous dealings and matters were getting out of control. Wyatt has promised to protect Elizabeth, but can he, or will the hidden feelings he has for her put her in more jeopardy? Danger, intrigue, and a blossoming love affair; all the ingredients for a great read. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

A Lethal Page Turner!!!

A definite page turner that is filled with deception, intrigue, suspense with a touch of hot alpha wickedness and a strong willed female in need of help. I love Emily Jane Trent's style of writing, when you read one of her books you feel the need to read them all. Elizabeth "Beth" Foster has found herself in difficult situations her whole life due to her rebellious tendencies, but this last one is life and death but she doesn't know who to trust except for one man she hasn't heard from in years. Wyatt Mercer left his family's wealth to join the Navy Seals after graduation and hasn't looked back, until Beth walked back into his life needing protection. While growing up together Wyatt and Beth argued over everything but he always protected her from bullies and herself and that feeling hasn't changed for him. When the severity of the threats against Beth are known to Wyatt, he brings his Stealth team in to help figure out who wants Beth dead and why. With the adrenaline rushes to stay alive the chemistry between Beth and Wyatt heats to explosive levels and one taste is not enough for either of them. When all the cards are dealt and played how can Wyatt and Beth make a relationship from one side of the coast to the other without giving up part of themselves?? One click to find the answers and I know you'll love to read this story. An amazing job on Wyatt and Beth's story and I can't wait for more Stealth stories.

I genuinely enjoyed the introductory novella to this series, but then struggled with the first in the series with finding the characters hard to get to know or like. Despite this, the blurb for these books drew me in again.

Unfortunately I feel rather the same about this book too. The premise and the way it plays out is mostly well written, but the characters in both voice and actions seemed “off” and I found it difficult to care about their safety or happiness.

Beth has this aura of entitlement and almost childishness about her. She gets ridiculously riled up over nothing, even when it’s just Wyatt trying to understand what’s going on - and all this despite the fact she actually went to him and hired him. She holds a grudge against Wyatt, but excuses her own behaviour for their last interactions before he left for the navy and judges his actions without really caring enough to understand his point of view.
Wyatt seems a little blasé for a bodyguard, with both a stabbing and robbery happening within the first few days of him taking over her personal protection and seems content following Beth around allowing her to delve into the embezzlement despite her nearly being killed for it.

There are good parts to this book, the storyline is great and there are lots of characters brought in to explain the story and be introduced for later books in the series I’m sure, but for me personally this book just seems to miss something character wise.

🌠🌠ONE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURE🌠🌠
Hopping harlots homer! Emily unleashes one incredibly tantalizing, ground shaking, rock-my-world tempest with this tumultuous, highly combustible rollercoaster, busting down walls and bringing the heat, winding this baby up and letting her fly, catapulting this jewel to staggering heights. Shenanigans and mayhem descend in a flurry of heart pounding maneuvers and clever observations, cracked perimeters and obscured barriers solidify as limitations are amplified and enforced, secrets confessed, revelations unmasked and promises made, exhibiting the fierce quirks and defying bents, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. The deep undeniable attraction and high octane chemistry ignites with such intoxicating intensity and ardor, exploding with boundless emotions and infinite affection, drawing our characters closer, uniting them together flawlessly. The characters are complex, genuine and realistic with traits and qualities that balance and blend, adding amazing depth and diversity and enough spice to for one explosive ride. Throw in 100% on point realism, raising the stakes with such graphic scenarios that are so colorfully descriptive and vividly detailed its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Incredible job Emily, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.

Well, this was nice. I really was intrigue by the blurb of both main characters’ background. Wealthy families, at odds personalities. Enough to make me interested in voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I have to state that I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

So, the heroine was a wealthy heiress that people thought a brainless, spoiled brat. She wasn’t, she’s just different, she had interests that unrelated to her family business. I suspected something was terribly wrong in the family business right from the start, and I’ve guessed who the culprit was. And I wasn’t wrong. However, to prove who the culprit was, the twists and turns to find him, to separate him from collateral damages… that’s what made this book so compelling, and I just couldn’t put it down. The 4-stars review was wholly due to the heroine and problems she faced in the book. The hero? Well, nothing really special about him, other than he’s also from a wealthy family that he didn’t really care about. He got a portion in the book as well to solve his baggage with his family. Nice balance.

All in all, I like the book very much, and I would recommend to RS genre lovers out there. Oh, and I’ll patiently wait for the next instalment in the series.

Emily Jane Trent's Stealth Security books are amazing! I read the prequel, Mortal Peril and loved it!  After just finishing Lethal Peril I can't wait to go back and read Cold Peril.

Each can be a stand alone but follows the lives of a group of retired military SEAL's.  The books are loaded with adventure, intrigue and drama, not to mention a sweet love story.

Lethal Peril follows the lives of Elizabeth Foster and old family friend Wyatt Mercer.

Wyatt has just been given the job of bodyguard to a woman he is surprised to see after 10 years.  Elizabeth's life is in danger and finding out who is behind it may just be the beginning of the trouble that recently has come knocking.  As Wyatt and his incredibly talented and experienced team mates dig further into the background of Elizabeth's family's business the more danger seems to come knocking, and Elizabeth's digging isn't helping either as clues begin to point to someone in her family.

Elizabeth and Wyatt will struggle through trying to keep her safe while dealing with the ever growing feelings they are having for one another. Filled with excitement and drama I couldn't put this book down.

If you enjoy an exciting and romantic story, Lethal Peril is the book for you. Elizabeth Marie Foster is in danger. Someone in her family wants her dead. She knows who can keep her safe - Wyatt Mercer. He's a protector which is why he joined Stealth Security after he left the military. He's an old friend. Beth is a feisty, intelligent woman who's on the trail of the illegal activity in her father's company. She won't be stopped. She has to save her father as well as herself as . With Wyatt at her side, she'll discover who's behind the conspiracy. I liked that these two connected emotionally and romantically. Their chemistry is powerful and intense. He's protective and she's independent. I wanted them together as a couple. This is a fast paced and suspenseful story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't stop reading until I knew the both Beth and Wyatt were safe. Emily Trent created characters that I cared about as well as a story that had non stop action and a passionate romance. I couldn't ask for more. I want more Stealth Security.

I LOVED Lethal Peril!!!
I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story with all of the twists and turns. The suspense had my brain going the entire time I was reading the story!!
I enjoyed that We get to catch up with Garrett and Marlene and the rest of the Stealth Security Crew.
Beth marched to the beat of her own drum and doesn't succumb to society and all of their rules, though she know she should because she is after all an Heiress and there is a certain way she is supposed to act............. But Beth is her own person, with hopes and dreams of her own and sitting behind a desk all day is not on her agenda, but when tragedy hits, she has to reach to a friend that she hasn't seen in years for his help.
Wyatt lives for the excitement and adrenaline that comes with being a bodyguard, but he questions motives when a blast from the past comes in asking for his help.
Wyatt and Beth enter a journey of angst and suspense to try to figure out who wants to harm her and her family name.
Lethal Peril will leave you wanting more!!

This is book two in The Stealth Security Series and it is Elizabeth and Wyatt's story. Elizabeth and Wyatt have been friends since childhood so when Elizabeth knows that she is in danger it is Wyatt that she goes to for help to protect her as he is the only one that she trusts. Wyatt is a ex navy seal and he now works for Stealth Security but when Elizabeth comes to him for help as she is in danger Wyatt knows that he will do everything in his power to keep her safe and help her find out what is happening and who is targeting her. I absolutely love this book with all its twists and turns along with the strong connection and chemistry between Elizabeth and Wyatt and I couldn't put this book down as I had to see what would happen next and who was after Elizabeth. Emily Jane Trent is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

This is book two in the Stealth Security series. Another great book in series. This book has it all, action, suspense, betrayal, love, and steam. It's exactly what I'm looking for in a romantic suspense story. This series keeps getting better with each book. You can read this book as a standalone but they are connected so you will have some spoilers to book one and come across previous characters but none of this will cause issue with understanding what’s going on in this book. I can't wait to get started on book three. Wyatt and Beth have known each other for years. Even though Beth hasn't seen Wyatt since he left for the military he's the only person she trusts when she realizes someone is trying to kill her. The longer they're together the harder it is to keep their hands off each other. Will the survive all the danger after Beth? Is it possible for these two to make a relationship work? If you enjoy steamy, entertaining romantic suspense story you want to grab this book.

Lethal Peril is the second book of the Stealth Security series. I enjoyed the first book and this one also did not disappoint. Beth and Wyatt have been friends for a long time. Whenever she finds herself in trouble, Wyatt has always had her back. Now she finds herself in need of Wyatt's help and protection more than ever. She is not only accused of embezzlement, but her life is also in danger. Wyatt works for Stealth Security and Beth decides to contact him and hire him as her bodyguard. They not only have to work together to keep from being killed, but they also need to find evidence to prove her innocence. This is an action-packed, romantic suspense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages. This is fast paced romantic suspense at its best. Beth is an heiress that has always been a bit different from her family - she dresses differently, she'd rather walk than take a limo, and she loves to doodle cartoons. However, she is ripped from her comfortable existence when a tragedy strikes. Suddenly, she thinks someone is out to get her and immediately flies across the country to hire Stealth Security - the high end private security firm staffed exclusively by former SEALs - including her childhood friend Wyatt.

Wyatt agrees to provide her security, but Beth isn't honest with him about everything that's been occurring. However, Beth's would be assassins continue to attack and, as he's protecting her, Wyatt quickly realizes there's more going on.

This is a quickly moving story that had me turning pages just as quickly as possible. Fans of the genre will love this book.

The men who work for Stealth security are alpha men who are ex navy seals who now protect those who need them.
Wyatt comes from a wealthy family but he doesn't anything to do with the family business or money, he never agreed with his fathers way of running a business so went of to join the navy.
Beth comes from money and was working for her father's firm, she is a very strong willed young lady who sets out to prove her innocence but walks straight into more trouble than she can handle. She decides she needs help and hires her long list friend Wyatt.
This story is well written and I feel in life with this young couple, they are so attracted to each other but fear of what the other wants stops them for admitting their feeling.

Emily Trent write fantastic suspenceful romances I have enjoyed both of her books out in the Stealth Security series.

Lethal Peril was just great from the long time friendship Wyatt and Beth shared to them eventually taking their relationship further and of course the drama from her family and Wyatt saving not just Beth but her brother and father as well who would fall for such an awesome guy....lol

Wyatt is an ex-seal who left his rich family behind 10yrs ago and never looked back until the day when Elizabeth walks into stealth security needing a bodyguard specifically him as a bodyguard.

Beth is tougher than she looks but she also has a sweet vulnerable side to I really liked her character she was sweet and strong with a great edge to her.

Beth, the heiress, rebel and cartoonist witnesses the murder of her best friend. Her instincts are to run to the person who was her defender when they were children.

Wyatt, an ex-military man, now working for Stealth Security, is shocked to find the person he needs to protect is Beth. He is not convinced that he has been told everything, nevertheless he rises to the challenge as Beth's enemies close in on her.

Wyatt gets the rest of his team involved as the risks to Beth's life increase. All the while both Wyatt and Beth fight their feelings for each other.

I just love sitting down to read these books, they absorb me, take me out of lockdown.

This book has everything, lies, betrayal, attempted murder, crazy & greedy Uncle and of course love. Beth isn't like all the snobby rich girl's and her life is now in danger. She has no one she trusts besides her childhood friend Wyatt. Wyatt works for Stealth Security and never thought he would see Beth again. Beth has been accused of embezzlement and her father's health has deteriorated but Beth knows something isn't right and her digging could be the end of her life. Beth & Wyatt can't deny want they could of had a long time ago and what they can have now, but Wyatt must do everything to protect Beth before it's too late.

I enjoyed Lethal Peril, but it can get slow at times with the author being overly descriptive. Beth and Wyatt knew each other as children, but their lives took separate roads. Older now, Wyatt works in security and Beth needs help when her shady uncle forces her out of the family business. The story has plenty of twists and suspense to keep the reader interested. I also loved how strong and fearless Beth was to protect herself and family. Wyatt was great as the overly protective love interest. However, I didn't care, if at a friend's wedding, the bride wears a tiara or flowers.

I liked that Beth and Wyatt had a history, a friendship, and it was nice to see their relationship evolve and how they both dealt with that change, and their thoughts and feelings. I believed in their connection and chemistry and I liked the respect they had and showed each other as well as the support they gave one another. Family drama, friendships, twists, wrong doings, suspense, danger, passion and love are all mixed together in this good read.

Beth feels that she is in danger after her friend was pushed onto the train tracks as they thought it was Beth. She is scared and seeks out her frien Wyatt who works for a security firm. Wyatt becomes her bodyguard and then some. Will she be able to survive the attempts on her life? Will they find out who is trying to kill her? Will theu have a HEA? This book has it all intrigue, conspiracy, murder, steamy sex scenes. Reader beware as the scenes are quite graphic.

This was an easy to read story with a lot of action, betrayal, a love and steamy scenes.
Beth is sure someone was trying to kill her when her friend was pushed onto the train tracks. She enlists the help of her old friend Wyatt who works for a security firm. While they search for the truth, they find each other.

The characters came across as believable. The story kept me bound to the book from beginning to end.
The speed with which the story is told is pleasant
Highly recommended

Beth and Wyatt were two kids that grew up arguing abut everything, but Wyatt always was there to save her from the stupid stuff she did but as she turned 18 wyatt left for boot camp and never looked back . Til one day when her best friend was murdered and she needed someone on her side. Wyatt didnt want any part of it but at the same time couldnt say no which is a good thing cause keeping her safe was anything but easy.
