Terry Wardle speaks on the love of God forming identity. If you're in the spiritual formation world but want a book to give to someone in your sphere that doesn't dive *too* deep into the mystics and monasticism but still communicates the heart of God's love in a transformative way, this is it!

Great message! We all need the reminder that our identity is in being a child of God and nothing else. I enjoyed how he has reflection questions at the end of every chapter. I think this would be a great book to go through with 1-2 friends. I didn’t relate to some of Wardle’s word pictures like the “small-ego” and being “Christ- possessed.” I also felt that some of his chapters had content that overlapped and themes that were repetitive. Would recommend this book to friends who, like myself, struggle with putting their identity in performance rather than what God says of them.
