The Streets Chose Me: An ATL Love Story
No matter what you do in this world it’s always said that we have a choice, but do we really? What happens when the choice is made for you and the only thing you can do is rock with it?
At a young age, Gerald ‘Ghee’ Wells is a father and the keeper to his family. With six siblings to help take care of and twin boys of his own Ghee knows all about making a way out of no way. Easy money is the only way to go when you have eight mouths to feed. Falling in love with money & the glitz & glamour of the street he forms a crew called ‘The Jokers’. With the crew name like Jokers the first thing an enemy might do is laugh; only down fall to that is laughing will be the last thing they’re able to do.
Ghee isn’t a one man army and The Jokers isn’t a one man team. With a bright future a head of him Chosen ‘Problem’ Wells finds his way into the street life side by side with his older brother. The money is alluring to him but of course with more money comes more problems. His life starts spiraling out of control when truths are revealed and his temper starts to fly.
With the weight of the world on his shoulders Camden Barnes turns to The Jokers to help with the problems in his personal life. Wanting nothing more than to fix the hurt & pain his family suffers from he takes on a life he never thought he would have to live. Will following the path of easy money help him or will it destroy him and all the bonds he holds dare to his heart?
Onyxx Williams knows nothing about having an easy life and knows everything about the struggle. With a streak of bad luck Onyxx is struggling to find her place in the world. Needing a shoulder to cry on she relies on her best friend Camden to help her throw the dark times. With Camden going through his own issues Onyxx is left to fight her own way into the light.

ATL Love
Cam is my book bae of the day. Him and Onyxx were definitely going through some things. I felt so bad for them both because they had no choice but to play the hand that life has dealt them. Trinity on the other hand needs to die a thousand deaths. I have no love for her. Cam did the right thing by leaving her in the dust. Rome needs to take a long walk off a short pier. I also applaud Ghee and Problem for doing what they had to do to ensure that their families were well taken care of. #UIP

From the very beginning of this story, the author drew me into the character’s lives. She did a great job on the opening. Throughout the story, she also remained consistent with adding depth and clarity to each character so that I wanted to know more and more about their lives and how they came to be the way that they were.
Overall, I am definitely interested in seeing Part2. I would love to see further development of the characters and their back stories… PS: I love Cam, and I am dying to know what really went down with Nina! Great job! PPS: The cover is outstanding!

Satisfied Reader
What don't kill you definitely makes you stronger. Cam and Onyxx is definitely going thru it. Onyxx mom is a poor excuse. Camden loves his mom while heartedly and would do anything for her. Ghee and Problem had to step up for the sake of their family. Trinity is a snake that I can't stand. Rome needs to get dealt with asap with his crackhead tail. I can't wait to see what unfolds in pt.2

Review
I was hurt towards the end of the book, but that sadness turned to anger. Trinity was the devil in disguise, and she's going to get what's coming to her. Jerome will also get dealt with because of his unforgiving actions.
Camden has a lot on his plate to deal with. Hopefully he can overcome it all. Ghee has the world on his shoulders because of circumstances beyond his control. I'm heading over to part 2 to check out what's going to happen next. #UIP

The street chose me
This book had me glue to my kindle from the very first page. I feel for Camden he trying everything he can do to help his mom. Trinity is crazy and need to be put in crazy home. Onxy is my girl I like her. Ghee is need to get his act together. I'm definitely reading part 2.

Lol at the ending. Trinity you doing it like that????. Wow.. Let's just say I really enjoyed this read. Cam and Oxen are really are just having a hard time!! I hope they can work things out!! I hope Mom gets the help she needs. That need was very disappointing...

Wow
The vices and issues that these characters are dealing with is crazy. Ms. White definitely knows how to tell a story, but there were parts that needed more explanation and the editing could have been slightly better. Other than that, it was a good book. On to Part 2.

Great Read
I love Camden and Onyxx friendship. The things with Ghee and Problem hopefully will get Better. That damn Trinity and Jerome is gonna get their karma. Can't wait to see what happens in book 2.
