The eBay Market is a giant auction else but it is own economy because many of the items that are sold on the eBay website make up the majority of what's sold in a country. Beyond things like food or alcohol or anything perishable really, most of the products that you find on eBay will be something that you can find at a certain type of store in that country.
This means that the eBay website is its own economy and understanding basic economic principles is how you can, generally, sell most of your products. There are some eBay accounts that actually have advertisers and marketing teams in order to sell on eBay, but there are also individuals who are making a quick buck on eBay by selling their own products in a much smaller quantity. The economic principles are actually really simple and if you just take the time to understand it then you will find that it will help you out in the long run.
This book is a great guide that details everything you need to know to make money selling items on Ebay.
I used to do a lot of Ebay selling but I haven't done it in many years. I have thought about getting back in to selling but I figured I need to educate myself on what has changed since I last sold things, so picked up this book to update myself.
This was not a difficult book to read, but it was not high interest for me. It had a lot of good information, but was just an introduction. It didn't have a lot of new information for me, though there were a few things in it that have changed since last I sold. I think this might be a good primer for someone who is a first time seller and needs ideas on how to start.
The writing style is good. He speaks with knowledge of the subject and explains it easily for readers. The book was well written without the mistakes in grammar, spelling, and punctuation that I often see in other books any more. His was relatively free of errors and did not distract me in the least. I did have to read through it a few times, sometimes having to read a page a few times, but only because I was easily distracted by life around me.
If you are looking for a basic book to help you get started with selling on ebay, this is the one to consider.
I purchased this book looking for information as I am looking to try and help my family transition from the physical flea market business into more of an online-based business. While I actually thought this book would be more thorough in the sense of discussing the types of products one could sell compared to some online videos I have seen, this book instead did a good job of explaining how certain products might sell in certain countries/regions, but may not sell in others. The author used technology as an example throughout and while it doesn't necessarily apply to my family's business as they sell clothing, furniture, and other things that one would likely find at a flea market, I was able to understand why the author used technology as an example. I plan on passing the information in this book along to my family. At minimum, this should give a bit of a blueprint as to how to get started. A useful read and resource guide for those looking to sell on eBay.
