Thoughts Are Things: Turning Your Ideas Into Realities

Rate this book
Thoughts Are Things is a wonderful, motivational text from two acclaimed public speakers and accomplished authors—Bob Proctor and Greg S. Reid.

What mind-set determines whether or not a person will be successful? Do successful people think differently from those who never reach their potential? How can we change our thoughts so that the result of every thought—the offspring of thought—sets us up to win rather than lose?

Bob Proctor and Greg S. Reid, authorized by the Napoleon Hill Foundation, delve deeply into the science and psychology of thought, and how thinking is vitally important to a meaningful, successful life. In their interviews with neuroscientists, cardiologists, spiritual teachers, and business leaders, the authors show in Thoughts Are Things how we can think to live!

I especially loved the stories about entrepreneurs who used their businesses to do work in service to others. These titles are so misleading and make the books look like an offshoot of "The Secret" or similar works, when in reality this series has some great concrete business and life advice.

It's not a bad book, but you might as well just read the Napolean Hill book because so much of it is quoted.

I mistakenly got this book as it has the same title as another book by Prentice Mulford. However, I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed and didn't bother to continue the book after reading for 1 hour.

This book is just a paraphrased version of of Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" with different examples. They even kept the name of T&GR in the title of the book, which I noticed just now (at the time of writing review).

This book was very inspiring and motivational. Several stories are shared throughout the book about successful entrepreneurs who used the teachings of Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich. Each chapter begins with a quote from Hill.

This book is about the power of the mind and how through belief and practice, we can turn our thoughts into the physical equivalent. A few helpful lists appear throughout the book, one is about eight abilities successful people have in common, and it goes into detail about each ability. The first is the ability is to identify your strengths and enlist the help of other people in the areas where you are weaker.

It is not necessary to have read Think and Grow Rich to get the full benefit from this book. It will inspire you and teach you how to use the power of your mind to bring your ideas into physical form. This book will help anyone, no matter what their occupation and mission in life. I strongly recommend this book.

I didn't read the book, I listened to the audio version. I haven't heard a book on audio in a long time...probably more than 10 years. I really didn't enjoy the experience. I missed being able to quickly re-read a sentence, pausing to allow it to "sink in" or help me mull over in some way. This material was so dense with info I feel like I missed most of it.

I think I will add this to my Amazon book purchase list. I believe this is a book I would like to read in small increments, ponder, and implement into my life. In other words, take action on repeatedly.

I highly recommend this. Maybe you are someone who likes audio books; then you will enjoy this. If not, and you are a book lover, like myself, then I recommend purchasing the book and biting off one bite at a time. This is not a book to eat the whole elephant with.

I love bob proctor and this book! Similar to a Napoleon hill book, this gives you the vision and tools of how to achieve success. Some great readings in here that really opened my eyes and thoughts up to new ideas. I will read this again and look forward to reading more of his books. This book made me realize more about the Law of Motion, which when you understand it and put it into use, will help you in all aspects of your life.

I've really been enjoying all the things tied to Napoleon Hill and this was no exception. I love all the stories and the motivation that comes in these books.

2/8/2024 - I read it again and this time I would give it 3 stars. If I was going to read something again, I'd read "Think and Grow Rich." again and again and again.
