I definitely struck out big time! This was a very short insta-love hookup between a pro-pitcher and a college senior who's a virgin, and hiding a little secret that might end the season before it begins. Not much story building, another round of the bases not much different from any other sports-related romance, and of course there's the wham-bam-thank you-sex that was unprotected even though the pitcher gave lectures to his teammates on safe sex. He jumps into bed with a perfect stranger and takes her word that she's on the pill. Didn't add up to me and I didn't have much respect for her either -- he was a player in more ways than one. And the ending -- well it was a huge loss on the scoreboard.
I know I'm in the minority, but holy wow, I can't even wrap my mind around all those 5 stars. This was not World Series worthy.

Spring Training was the third book in the Bad Boys of Summer by KB Winters. It wasn’t my first book by Winters but it was my first book of the series.
Grace was a student statistician for the Warriors MLB team. She was beautiful and smart but also fairly shy. She was twenty-one but still a virgin and quite particular about changing her status, especially for a professional athlete not looking for a relationship.
Justin Calloway was the newest all star pitcher for the Warriors. He was gorgeous, cocky, arrogant, confident and had a total playboy reputation.
Spring Training was a novella style quick read. Although enjoyable, I craved more depth and storyline. However, for a short story, it was sweet and entertaining. Bring the Heat and Sweet Spot were included as a package deal, are the first two books in the series and are worth a look for my next quick reads.

Spring Training by K.B. Winters a hard batting five-star read. I have read a couple of books by this author and enjoyed them, but this is the best of the bunch, I just wish it was longer. Justin Calloway is a dream in white baseball pants, moulded in all the right places. He is the new all-star pitcher for the Warriors, a team in Oklahoma. Justin is a man who knows what he wants and how to get it, hard work, dedication and rules.
Grace Mansfield is a Statistician Major who has been brought up around baseball and watches the Warriors with her dad and brother when she is home in Oklahoma, and when she is on summer break from school in Florida she watches the pre-season to help the team, gathers the player stats for them, something her friends don’t quiet understands as they just think she watches hot dudes like Justin all day. Up until now she hadn’t been doing that, but those white pants on Justin… mmmm.
This is a funny story, you get to watch them develop and secrets and situations arise to push them apart, will they survive the fight or will they strike out.

Spring Training by KB Winters is the third book in her Boys of Summer series. I can be read as a standalone. Grace fully lives up to her name. She is sweet, untouched, geeky and keeps herself as far away from the baseball players she deals with on a daily basis as she can. She has lived and breathed baseball her whole life and there is NOTHING that can change her mind about the dogs that these newer players can be. All she wants to do is graduate from college and start her real life and finally allow someone in. But sometimes, you just can't help the chemistry between two people...and this is one of those times. Justin Calloway knows he can get any woman he wants, but he doesn't want the easy women that throw themselves at him. There is something about Grace that draws him to her and she is perfect for his short term needs. Now he just has to convince her. What happens next is unexpected to each of them. Will Grace learn to trust when it has been broken and will Justin realize that it is okay to care more about a person than for just sex. There is plenty of steam here to keep you happy!

Opening day of Spring Training was a media event, people milling around everywhere. Grace was there to scope out the new talent for the baseball season. She and her friend, Farrah, were on FaceTime chatting since Grace had a lull right now. Grace’s job as a statistician, gathering data and crunching numbers for coaches and trainers, made her work important to the Warriors. But Farrah’s sexy comments about Justin Calloway, the new Warrior’s pitcher, had her staring at him and flustered.
Somehow the two of them kept bumping into each other. Grace tried to maintain her distance, while Justin remained friendly and inquisitive. He was nothing like what Grace had expected. He could have his pick of women, but he seemed happy to keep his attention on her! For his part, he had little interest in the females throwing themselves all over the players. He wanted someone to converse with and enjoy being with them.
As they get to know each other, the relationship deepens. Is Justin that special one that Grace has been waiting for? Or is this just a temporary thing for him while he’s in Spring training? And how will he respond when he finds out who her father is?
This was a fantastic story! I immediately loved both main characters. They had their own value system and were true to themselves. The story line moved along perfectly, keeping the reader engaged and invested in the ultimate outcome of their relationship. This is definitely worth reading and enjoying! Highly recommended!

Justin is hot, inked and just downright sexy. He's not like all the other players there at Spring Training and isn't looking to hook up with anyone and everyone hanging around. But he sets his eyes on Grace and will do whatever it takes to make her his. Grace is the sweet, untouched, geeky type who keeps to herself. Shes lived and breathed baseball her entire life. But when Justin sets his eyes on her things take a turn.
Justin has rules... honesty is a must with him, exclusivity, and absolutely no sleeping over. But what happens when the little secret Grace has been keeping finally pops up? Will Justin take it in stride or will it be a deal breaker? Can he learn to have more of a relationship than just sexual? Will Grace walk away with the guy or will she end up with a broken heart?
All I can say is find out today. This read is quick but it will have you hooked from page one all the way to the end. Can't wait for more from KB Winters.

Grace is a college student studying statistics. She has spent the last three seasons keeping baseball stats for spring training. She is shy,quiet and still a virgin. This year she has caught the attention of star pitcher Justin. Justin is tired of the women just want to sleep with a famous player. Grace is a breath of clean air. She is innocent and he want to train her how to play with him. After several tries, Grace finally gives him a chance. The passion between them is superhot. Justin teaches her his rules like no dating others, no sleeping over and being completely honest. Grace has a problem because she hasn't been completely honest. Will spring training be just a fling or is it something more?
This was good story. Justin isn't too egotistical and loved the way he treated Grace. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Spring Training is KB Winters' third sports romance, and it's a doozy! It's short and hot. Grace is a shy, 21 year old student, and statistician for the Oklahoma Warriors (love that name!!) who lives in Florida and goes to college there. She's in town for Spring Training when she catches the interest of the new pitcher, Justin. He's a hot, inked up guy who oozes sex, but doesn't come across as a manwhore like most of the other players. He's interested in Grace and he means to have her. It doesn't take long for Grace to fall for Justin and soon they're engaged in a little FWB relationship with a couple of rules: exclusivity, absolute transparency, and no sleeping over. Everything is good until Grace's little secret (actually, make that big secret) comes out and blindsides Justin. How will he react when this secret affects him and his career?
I really like Spring Training. Grace and Justin are super sexy together and a perfect match for each other. She with her shy, untouched personality and he with his gentlemanly manners but hot, dominating manner in the bedroom. Out of all of KB's sports romances, I have to say that Justin and Grace are the hottest couple! Something about them together makes their contrasts really sexy. Grace has worked for her father and her beloved Warriors for several years. She is their stat person and enjoys doing the "numbers" for the club. While she is constantly surrounded by athletes she had not allowed herself to be drawn into their world. She knows that spring training is just a smorgasbord for the athletes to hook up with very willing women/girls.

This is another great book by a great author. I hope this is the first in a series of books.
Grace was an innocent geeky girl who loved stats. Justin was pitcher for team her dad owned although he did not now that. Justin set out to get close to Grace with the intention of just screwing her and then leaving like he did with all the others. When he finds out he has been screwing the boss's daughter he is pissed. She just walks away after asking him what the big deal is because this was just casual sex anyway. But he never asked what her last name was only her first. If he had asked her last name, knowing she was from the same city, he would have found out who she was.
Then he hears two of his teammates cornering her and almost threatening her sexually and he comes unglued and attacks one of them.
Will they be able to work things out and stay together even though she is staying in Florida for the next 8 months to finish college and he is going back to Oklahoma City? What does her dad do when he finds out?

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book but I also purchased it to keep and because there are bonus stories in the published version. I also happen to love anything written by KB Winters. Grace is the boss's daughter and a virgin. Justin is a first round draft pick and the baseball club's hot new pitcher. She runs stats for spring training and isn't interested in wasting time with bigshot baseball players. She still got another year to finish college and is staying with her mom in Florida. Justin can't keep his eyes off of her. She's so different from the other women that hang around and offer themselves to him and the other players. Justin just isn't interested in them. He wants Grace. Will he get her to go out to dinner with him? She isn't sure why he wants her. What will he do when he finds out she's a virgin? Would that be a deal breaker to an experienced guy like Justin? You need to read this captivating book!

What can I say, another hit written by KB Winters. I am never disappointed by anything that she decides to write about. Her stories are always well written and the storyline and characters are always wonderful. Spring Training is no different. Grace is a very quite young woman whose father is President of a MLB team. She is doing their stats for Spring Training and seems to find their star pitcher Justin very attractive. He seems to feel the same way about her. When they finally decide to do the "no commitment" thing, will things work out between them? What will happen if her father finds out? Will they be harassed due to her being young and a senior in college? I am not that reviewer that is going to tell you what happens but I can tell you to pick up this book and you will not be disappointed. Especially if you like to read KB's books. This one is a fast read as well. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book. I will be buying it though, that is how much I liked it.

Where Eastern college student major Grace Mansfield is the statistician for the Warriors. She is FaceTime with her best friend Farrah , talking about the new pitcher Justin Calloway all-star hot sexy cocky alpha playboy with gentleman side of him. Grace is shy smart curvy v-card carrier and self-sufficient. I love reading KB Winters books , she covers all the bases for a great story . I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 The strong structure storyline and well developed characters and supporting characters brilliant exquisitely well written . The story is drama rom-com emotional rollar coaster sizzling chemistry hot streamy explosives sex captivating hot tattoos and captivating from start to finish 💋 💖 . Once again KB Winters has produced a home run baseball novella that is well written, brilliantly descriptive and dam right scorching at times! I loved Grace and her sweet but adventurous nature. I enjoyed seeing her blossom and grow as her relationship with Justin developed. I also very much enjoyed Justin, the cool, bad boy baseball pitcher who has women falling at his feet but intrigued by the one who appears uninterested. Justin is protective, patient and down and dirty at times! Together they make a great couple, even against all odds!
This novella plays out perfectly and I love the HEA KB gives Grace and Justin. My only hope is that we may see more of this cute couple in future books. As any good author does though, KB leaves you simply wanting more!

This is a sport romance, but not an average one.

But Justin isn't like the other players. He doesn't want every night a different woman in his bed. He wants Grace and he goes for it. She tries to resist him, but soon he gets her to enjoy time with him.
When they finally are together not only on dates but also having hot and steamy moments, there is a secret from her side which blows everything up. I didn't see that one coming.
Will it be alright in the end again? For that you have to read the book. You won't regret it.

The story is about Grace who is a 21 year old college senior who has remained a virgin. She is working as a statistician for the Oklahoma City Warriors baseball team. Her friend Farrah talks to her about how hot the new pitcher Justin is who is considered a bad boy. She is adamant about not getting involved with any of the baseball players.
Grace and Justin seem to bump into each other at different times and are drawn to each other. Grace seems to be caught by Justin when she is checking him out. But she tries to cover it up by looking like she is only working on their stats.
I recommend that you check out this story to find out if the spark between Grace and Justin starts the flame burning or do they get burnt. It is a must read!

I love this book. It was sweet, romantic and sexy all rolled into one. I loved Grace. She was so unsure of herself. She tried to be invisible and blend in. Justin was super hot and sexy. There was something about Grace that just pulled him in. He thought he did not want forever but just for now. He had rules but we all know that rules are meant to be broken !! This book is a lot of fun because in the end it is all about those broken rules and feelings that happen when you least expect them too. I give this book 5 stars. It is must read for sure.

Wow! 5*+! Love it! Fantastic! Another homerun hit out of the park. Justin Calloway is a pro-league baseball player for Warriors of Oklahoma & currently in spring training in Florida. Grace Mansfield is a statistician major & currently working for the warriors getting the players stats. I devoured this decadently delicious & spicy sexy novel in one sitting. Only complaint too short! A sweet & funny sports romance novel that heats up with smokin hot chemistry & a explosive secret. I highly recommend reading this bad boy sports romance novel as it scores a homerun & keep's you glued to your kindle. I volunteerly reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.

It may be Spring but the heat is on when sexy baseball pitcher Justin sets his eye on Grace a statistician and daughter of the team owner. Grace has been waiting for the right man to give herself to. Has she found that man in Justin or is he just after a quick hook up during Spring training?
The book is hot, as are the two main characters and even though Grace is a feminist she could easily get used to the way she is treated by Justin. He is the epitome of a southern gentleman and possessive to boot.

What a great story by K.B. Winters about a star pitcher, Justin, and the woman who catches his eye, Grace. What I loved about this story is that Justin was not a man wh***, he wasn't a saint but he didn't bed every woman that gave him attention. He was particular about his women and Grace fit that bill. Grace was innocent until she met Justin and now she starts having feelings for the first time about a man.
There was also no excess drama involving other women or exes, which was also refreshing. It was about two people finding each other and reading how they both finally realized that there were meant for each other.

This was an absolute fantastic read. Justin and Gracie are so similar, but their differences make things a little more interesting. Gracie's virginity makes her a little shy, but she gracefully puts herself in Justin's ands and finds out just how steamy things can be. Justin isn't looking for a relationship, but when he loses Gracie, he's lost. Saving her from major problems makes him realize what he's got and gets him to thinking about the future. But the problem is, Gracie's in Florida and he's in Oklahoma, and there's no telling where she may end up working.

I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book and I enjoyed it. I love the series. Justin eyes the sexy girl in the stat booth and is not able to keep her off his mind.

Grace encounters Justin at the vending machine and helps her get a soda. He realizes that he's going to have her and won't give up until he does. The only problem is that will once be enough for him? Will he walk away once he finds she's the owner's daughter? Must read to find out. ❤

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. What an enjoyable, steamy and quick read. I loved the whole idea of this story. I thought Grace and Justin were great. The fact that she is a huge fan of baseball and knows her stats I found refreshing in a heroine's character. I also liked that Justin wasn't like all his other teammates who viewed spring training as a way to get as many girls as they could. Justin was different. He was taken by Grace from the beginning and took his time getting to know her and understood her fears. This was such a great read with a great HEA!
