Dylan Apel can't stay out of trouble… When Southern witch Dylan Apel finds herself stripped of her powers and under house arrest, she's got no one to blame but herself. But when one of the good guys suddenly becomes the primary suspect, Dylan's world turns upside down. Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
. I was so excited to find this witch mystery through Kindle Unlimited. I like an extended series, which gives the reader the opportunity to spend time with a defined group of characters, hopefully, who grow in depth.
This fourth installment has finally developed a more believable experience. It does have some eclectic characters, but none that are extremely compelling still. The heroine is finally starting to reflect some character growth and the relationship between the H/H seems to be racing along, at least on the part of the hero He is obviously smitten!
In this fifth installment, the plots become even more bizarre than they have already been so far. This author does have an imagination that stretches its limits sometimes. Are the grandaughters learning to use their witchy powers? Are they staying grounded by staying involved in their local businesses? Hard to tell, really.
There are some minor grammatical errors. It is a clean read and contains an H.E.A. regarding the dead body. It is able to stand on its own, but the series will probably be better understood if read in order.
Dylan has lost the magic she didn’t even want to begin with and ends up wanting it back. But how? She is still fighting the whole witch culture, convinced that every other witch - besides her family - is out to get her. Dylan is just a bit immature; she clearly has some growing up to do. Somehow she needs to come to terms with this whole witch-thing.
I loved the mix of magic, mystery and a touch of romance! This book is fast-paced, suspenseful and humorous (I chuckled out loud a couple of times).
There is a lot of magic throughout this book in very creative ways! And there are unicorns, now who doesn’t love unicorns?
I love this series and all of the crazy things that happen each time. Dylan, her sisters, grandmother and friemds, are always getting in over their head. This time, they are on house arrest and also trying to find the killer of Roman's family. We meet the Fairy King, sprites and even visit Monkey Town. The romance is alive and evolving, I just hope what Dylan discovers at the end and her decision, doesn't hurt her and Roman. I can't wait for the next book!
Amy Boyles has penned another winner with For Witch's Sake, the fifth book in the Dylan Apel and her witch family antics. Pure reading enjoyment. Humorous and whimsical with well developed likable characters makes all the books in this series hard to put down. I call it brain candy. Relax, read and don't think too hard. Just enjoy the escape to the monkey kingdom and other magical realms.
I always enjoy reading the Apel sisters series. The way Dylan Apels character has progressed is perfect. It doesn't feel forced or rushed. With every book I read I feel like we are growing and learning with the Apel.
I really enjoy this series of books - they are light reading with a twist of mystery and romance. I never want the story to end and can't wait for the next book to come out.
This one was is getting closer finding out who killed Roman' mom and sisters while trying to solve a murder. There is a new little characters you will love.
Dylan and her friends and family are faced with a new challenge . The answer to the question of who killed Roman's mother and sisters are at the center of the riddle . Dylan and her sisters are placed on house arrest and Dylan's magic is gone . The story takes off from there . We , the reader , see the characters we have come to know grow and develop in many ways .
The ending of this book is a cliffhanger leaving us wanting more . Now to wait for the next chapter of the story .
I LOVE this series!! Seriously, I want to live in these imaginary Southern towns with these witches and get up to no good.
Also, THANK YOU Amy Boyles for including body focuses repetitive behaviors in this series! I have seen some other reviews say they think nail biting is disgusting. To many I suppose it is, but I think it makes this character accessible - she’s an adult with a coping mechanism she may not be consciously aware of. She does this when anxious and nervous or unsure. Bravo for making believable heroines who are human rather than perfect 💖
As the fifth book in the Bless Your Witch series opens Dylan and her sisters are on house arrest for once again doing magic where regular people can see. When Dylan finds her magic stripped, she realizes just how much she wants it. Although she has accepted her magic she still struggles to accept any witches other than her family. Roman and Dylan’s relationship continues to strengthen, and they are finally making headway in finding out who murdered his mom and sisters. I really enjoy this series and look forward to finding out what is next for Dylan, Roman, and their families.
Awesome series. Great cast of characters and great stories. Cozy mystery series with a family of witches in the three sisters only recently learned they are witches and begin learning to use their powers. As they solve murders and mysteries in their new world. Lots of entertaining mystery action and maybe a dash of romance. Also you have to love their crazy grandma.
Another great story. The series is set in the south and has a southern vibe in the language and the character interactions. This one has a fountain of death , more monkey business, and even a baby unicorn!! While each book it the series can be read on its own I would recommend reading them in order. Can't wait for the next one. . . .
Amy Boyles is one of my favourite authors. And I particularly love this series. If you like the idea of sisters who grow up unaware that they have have a magical background and are, in fact witches you are in for a treat. You can imagine the trouble they can get into. With friends in high places and low the fun starts.
The sisters have found a new friend! A new Witchy friend at that. Maybe she can help with the latest murder mystery as well as keep that Baby Unicorn from eating the entire house! This is the Best book so far in this series! It will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat!!
I loved it! Well worth the 5 Stars. It’s a continuation of Dylan Apel, her sisters, her grandmothers, Dylan’s boyfriend and how they are all working together to solve problems, like who killed Roman’s mother and sisters. This entire series is very enjoyable with each book working from the previous book forward. 😍
Dylan is under house arrest and has lost her powers. Even then she manages to get in trouble when a dead body shows up in her yard. She has to babysit a baby unicorn. She's also trying to help Roman find out who killed his mom and sisters. The adventure never ends in this series by Amy Boyles.
I read this book in one sitting. Like the other books in this series, it has the right mix of mystery, love and humour. I am very much looking forward to the next chapter.
So many things happened in this book. But the greatest was Dylan's acceptance in her true self.I There were new characters to meet and 'old's characters to catch up on. I love This series and look forward to the next one!!
I love the story line and twists and turns. I can’t wait to see Dylan grow as a person and face her insecurities. Looking forward to seeing her relationship continue to develop with Roman too.
Please stop having Dylan in future books biting her nails and chewing on her hair. These bad habits are not relevant to the story. It’s just plain disgusting that she chews on her nails and spits them on the floor. Icky!!!
As usual the sisters are in trouble starts off right off the bat. Detective Pearbottom has to come in and because usual self. Exciting book lots of different stuff in this one.
With twists and turns and Southern characters at their finest a truly lovely story to keep the reader engaged. So far ive loved each book and continue to be memorized.
Finally tha main character accepts her heritage....she was driving me crazy. Baby unicorn...monkey kings...dancing clothes...spells...romance and an unfolding mystery....dare I say more. Oh and the cooky grandma....gotta love this series!!
