This book is about a young man named Grayson who moves from his home town in Michigan to the big City of Chicago, and he realizes he has the power to read the minds of others. In my opinion it had a good story line that kept me interested the whole time. The only thing that needed more in my opinion was the ending of the book, because it seemed kind of abrupt. I would recommend this book to others because it gets across a good message.

Grayson, after moving to a big city, discovers a way to look into people's thoughts. Personally, I am glad that Jose decided to explore the genre of magical realism. In my opinion, there are far too few books that incorporate the every day with the magical. I can honestly say that my favorite part of this entire book is when you discover the reference to the title. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes there can be magic in the everyday world.

My book is a short coming of age book that revolves around friendship. It's a fictional, magical realism book, where Grayson, the main character, finds a way to read people's minds. He undergoes incredible adventures and difficult struggles with his friends. I wanted to create a realistic word and just add a few bits of magic throughout the entirety of the book. My book can be bought on amazon

Transparent Views is about a teen boy named Grayson, who has the ability to look into others thoughts. I normally don't like nor read any type of magical books. In my opinion this was a great book that kept me turning pages. It also changed my persepective on magical books. I would recommend this book to anyone who is already interested in magical books, or even someone who would like to step out of their comfort zone, and try something new.

Transparent Views focuses on the life of Grayson as he moves away to a new city, leaving childhood friends behind and getting involved in solving a crime. Personally, I believe the book was very interesting, it had me hooked all the to the end. It was very different from other books I have read, I really admired how Grayson's ability to see into a person's mind tied into solving the crime. Ultimately, I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in real-world situations mixed with a bit of fantasy and likes short reads.

Through the power given to him, Grayson is able to look into peoples minds and use his power for good to unravel a crime, but finds a deeper meaning of friendship along the way. Initially I picked this book because one of my close Friends Jose Brenes wrote it and I wanted to support his work, but also because the books cover page grabbed my attention. Furthermore once I began to read the book it was clear that the message and theme revolved around friendship. Besides having powers to see into peoples minds, being involved in a crime, and going through changes in life, Grayson feels disconnected from childhood friends and is having a hard time trusting others. "I'm sorry I've made you feel like you cant trust me when you need me the most,"(Brenes 138). I can relate to this book because being a teenager can be hard and what comes along with being a teenager can challenge someones character. I would recommend this book to a younger audience who enjoys mysteries and magical realism stories.

Grayson a young boy who had to leave his friends and move to the city, figured out a way to look into people's minds. In my opinion, I think this book was very intriguing the whole time I was reading. This book kept me interested because it's so different than anything I've read before. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little magic in this everyday normal world.

Grayson is a high school boy who has to deal with the troubles of moving to a big city, solving a crime, and discovering a surprising feature that comes with his new pair of glasses. The beginning of this book is very well written, and the author does a good job of setting up the exposition and developing the plot leading up to the climax; however, by the end of the book there was some left to be desired. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, and wants a short but interesting read.
