Elements of Rite: A Handbook of Liturgical Style

Rate this book
Keeping in mind two pastoral considerations - the liturgy itself and the assembly that worships - Father Kavanagh looks not beyond rubrics but deep into their historical and pastoral existence in order to develop rules of style which articulate this existence in current Roman liturgical usage. From this research has come a pastoral manual for clergy who preside at liturgical celebrations.

Excellent resource for doing Liturgy Well

Fr. Cavanaugh short but comprehensive book is a masterful guide for all who participate in the Mass. Each chapter highlights events of the Mass which are to be done in a liturgical, yet practical, manner. The author is a worldwide expert on the liturgy. This book should be shared with those young man preparing in seminaries for ordination to the office of presbytor.
