Virgin Surrender

Rate this book
Addison’s new boss is exactly the kind of arrogant jerk she’s always been warned about....womanizing, rich, and dangerous. So why can't she stay the hell away? And why does he seem so familiar....?

Addison’s life has always been just the way she likes predictable. So when this mild-mannered naïve virgin takes a job as an office manager for a private security firm, she expects more of the same.

Then she meets Jake.

She's always done everything by the book, so when she meets the sexy bad boy CEO of her new company she won't bend to his will like everything else in the arrogant bastard's life. Never mind the fact that this ex SEAL happens to be a billionaire that has a, shall we say, hands on approach to the security business.

She doesn’t need that kind of douchebag in her life. But why can't she shake this feeling that she knows him from somewhere? What secrets does he hide behind those dangerous dark eyes....and why the hell can't she stop thinking about him?

I enjoyed this book very much. Addison is not your usual virgin. She just hadn't found anyone worth the effort to sleep with. When she starts her new job at a security company she hears things about the boss who she hasn't had a chance to meet yet. She makes friends with the boss's executive assistant who tries to explain about Jake and what he's like. When Addison finally meets Jake he seems somewhat familiar to her but she doesn't know why. She settles into her job and things seem to be going fine. Jake takes her to lunch and kisses her which she likes but then he flirts with the waitress which really makes her angry. She decides he's not worth following up on the attraction she's been feeling for him. Then one day a stalker attacks her at the job and you have to get the book to find out what happens after that. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily am writing a review because I enjoyed the book. It is well written and I look forward to more books by Fiona Knightingale.

Review Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars.

Shields down against such blatant sexual charisma & appeal!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for VIRGIN SURRENDER written by Fiona Knightingale and voluntarily reviewed this book. Addison Blakely just got hired as an office manager for a high-profile private security firm, headed by Jake Paulson, who has an easily witnessed reputation as a skirt-chasing, love-'em-and-leave-'em-type of guy. Addison was very naive and unworldly and proved to be a challenge to Jake, so he used many tricks to persuade her. A couple of little twists add interest to the storyline. All in all, a nice little first-time read from this author! Looking forward to a story about the character Tony, who had volunteered himself as "muscle" for a job, and he knew Jack back in their service days.

Well, I liked it quite a lot. The writing is easy to keep up and the story itself is embellished with some twists. In the end you'll get the 'Aha'-effect and everything gets in line.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

*3.5 stars. This was an enjoyable short novel. Told in the 3rd person, we see things from both Addison and Jake perspectives, though it's mainly from Addison's view. The characters were good, though I would have liked to see more from Jake and more evidence of his growth. I also didn't have a chance to feel the love between the H&h, there was just not enough time together to develop this. The ending was also very abrupt and this story really needed an epilogue to tie things up. * I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.*
