Rate this book
A week into his thirty day challenge, Gavin has unexpectedly found himself interested in two women he's met through the SwipeDate app. As he continues with his best friend Bobby's twenty-five thousand dollar proposition, he finds himself drawn to both Sami and Meghan, each unique and intriguing in her own way. While interest grows with the two of them, he's becoming increasingly annoyed by the daily first dates, and the disruption they've brought to his life.

Despite the annoyance, Gavin finally sees progress in his recovery from mental illness and discovers a hope he hasn't felt in years. An unexpected run-in with his past will test this newfound hope and threaten to crush the foundation he's worked so hard to build. Can Gavin find the balance he yearns for, and a woman to love, while the circumstances he's struggling with are still so fragile and raw?

The second installment of Gavin Mazzerelli's swipe dating adventure continues as BT Urruela truly hits the mark with Thirty Days: Part Two. Gavin struggles with depression opening up some self-destructive coping methods. He's been working on restructuring his mental game and learning to appreciate life again. His good friend Bobby challenges him to thirty days of swipe dating to get him back out and enjoying life again. The struggling writer is desperate for money and inspiration making this a win-win for him. What he doesn't filter into the equation is he might actually meet someone he wants to explore further. This is where the heart and head of Gavin begin to separate and he digs deep into what he wants versus what he needs. Unfortunately, he may just be too late in figuring himself out before the bubble bursts.

BT Urruela sprinkles a plethora of allusionary references, humor, wit, and realism throughout Thirty Days: Part Two that the story simply unfolds without a hitch. He also is the master of twists of fate and Catch 22's. His juxtaposition between Sami and Megan is well plotted and only helps to perpetuate the dynamic development of Gavin through his mental journal back into writing and life itself. Gavin is demonstrating change over time, slowly climbing his way to change but in Urruela style he makes ever gain painstakingly tough and well earned along the way. While this is a cliffhanger, just like part one, Urruela leaves his readers thirsty for the final installment.

***Please note this is book two and is not a standalone.

~~~~~~~Gavin is a lot like me..... An over thinker, a pessimist who wants the good things but doesn't think it will happen.
Another Excellent installment in Gavin's life.
This book ended on a cliff hanger and I really can't wait to find out how Gavin will deal with the latest revelation. Will everything be alright ? . Time will tell.
~~~~~~5 stars and a Thank you to the Author for writing a story that makes me believe that good things can happen and positive is better than negative , even if what we want may not be what we get. The possibility is out there.

Many readers will tell you they do not like cliffhangers, and while they are not my favorite, BT Urruela gave readers fair warning that there would be one in Thirty Days: Part One, and I have to say, it’s been so very worth the wait for Part Two to arrive.

As we reconnect with Gavin I was feeling so good about him and where things were going, even after the awkwardness that ended part one and began part two. He seemed to be heading on a new path – a brighter path, and I was happy for him. He seemed to be taking his counseling sessions more seriously and was making progress ~ letting go of the past he had no control over and looking forward to what was ahead of him. It even seemed as though his new outlook was having positive affects on the time he spent with his grandmother, and I was feeling so good for them both.

Thirty Days: Part Two gives us even more insight into who Gavin is and perhaps for the first time in his life I believe he’s seeing himself and who he is and what he wants in life more clearly than he ever has as he’s opened himself up to dealing with and finding ways to let go of the demons from his past. I could feel the weight lift from Gavin and the relief he felt when he was inspired to get back to his writing.

Gavin’s venture into the world of Swipe Dating is rather entertaining in good and bad ways and definitely makes me thankful that I dated the old-fashioned way and hoping that I never have to experience this new trend,

The character of Gavin is very real and I felt many things while reading this installment of Thirty Days, including frustration as I see him hesitating to address his Swipe Dating experience honestly with someone he meets who could possibly be THE ONE and also when his past decides to attempt to interject itself back into his life. I had became so engrossed in part two that I found myself talking out loud to Gavin giving my input as to how he should handle where he found himself at the half-way point in this dating challenge and how he should handle the hurdles put in his path to happiness. And as part two came to a close, I found myself thinking, “Gavin, what in the *#$! are you thinking?!” BT’s writing had me that involved and connected to the story and characters, I couldn’t help but react. THIS is something I greatly value when I read ~ the connection to the characters and actually feeling the story.

While BT has left us once again with a cliffhanger, one he’s indicated he did not plan, I believe he’s allowed Gavin’s story to take him where it needed to go so that we as readers are fulfilled when those Thirty Days come to an end. This is something I appreciate, because I want to feel a story is complete and don’t want to be left hanging when the words THE END appear. Part Three WILL be worth the wait ~ of this I have no doubt.

Thank you BT for an ARC of this Novella! I was so glad to finally get part two after reading the first one. You do need to read Thirty Days Part One before this one.

This is a quick read and its so good. I was glad to get more Gavin. This continues right were part one left us. There is one part that had me laughing so hard. If put in the situation it would probably not be so funny but it was epic!

Gavin continues the challenge of 30 dates in 30 days. He feel a connection to a couple people and others there is nothing there. In the first one I was rooting for one girl, but that has changed for me and I am now rooting for another. I can't wait to see where Gavins heart ends up.

His bitch of an ex makes an appearance in this and I wanted to punch her. I don't like her at all!

I love Gavin's relationship with his grandma Grace, my heart breaks that she doesn't remember him and that he needs to portray himself as a volunteer to her. I love how this book has real life topics like PTSD and alzheimer's. Both are serious and heartbreaking.

I am so not patiently waiting for part 3!

BUSTED

I'm not sure where to start!!! The way him and Bobby banter back and forth is hilarious. How sweet was the jazz place where Gavin included Sami. Or the fact he met up with Joanne! How about where I just lost my breath when he got busted. Oh BT BT it's going to be a long night.

You never know how dating will go, we all have our druthers over it and often wonder if it's all worth it. Of course it is, we all need to socialize in some sort of setting, get out of our heads and see what's out there. You just never know when you might meet that one person that will intrigue you just enough to push you past the first date awkward moments. Gavin is definitely not without his issues, but they aren't really dating issue per say, more of a hey I'm not good enough in my head issues. He's a great guy and needed to be pushed to socialize outside his head. Thirty Days: Part One was great, it set the precedence of what's to come, however, can we really expect whats to come? I was laughing so hard in the first chapters I thought I would bust a gut, Gavin's sense of humor is dry but cutting and very creative. The banter between him and Bobby is ridiculous, I couldn't get enough. That first scene with Meagan was hilarious, OMG, it was epic. My heart goes out to Gavin for so many reasons, but I think this challenge has been a good step for him, with other things coupled along with it; new found feelings, seeing his ex for the first time, great friends and a grandmother he truly adores and lets not forget the help of his therapist. But when you aren't ready to tell the truth, you have to wonder what happens next. Great ending, sets you up and gets you thinking.

What to say about this book.......when authors use a story like this and allow us even a small view into their minds, hearts and soul, you sit up and take notice. Gavin's challenge to date 30 women in thirty days begins to take it's toll on his mind and his heart. He begins to learn so much more about himself and we as readers begin to learn so much more about what makes Gavin tick. He finds himself enthralled by not one but two women, but in order to win the challenge he must continue to date random women each day. While he knows he should be honest with these two, he chooses not to. Will this decision come back to haunt him? His interactions with Bobby, his therapist, Megan, his grandmother, Sami and yes even the dreaded ex are funny, heartwarming, uplifting, frustrating and completely enlightening. Will Gavin learn to let go of the past and move forward with his life? Or will his mental illness continue to derail all of his relationships? Only time will tell. B.T. Urruela has written a story that is a window into his mind, heart and soul. I see so much of the author in this book and can't wait to find out what happens next. #suebaru

Loved It!!

Ok ya'll, as the title states this novella is the 2nd in a series, meaning you have to read the first book to know what's going on. Believe me though, you will not be disappointed. However, just because it is a quick read does not mean that you will not run a gamut of emotions, from the blossoming of true infatuation and all the tugging on the heartstrings that entails, to the introspection of the human psyche as Gavin delves into what makes him tick, to the humor that can come from a first blind date. I mean, who would choose hot yoga as a first date where you aren't allowed to talk for an hour and a half and then proceed to tell the guy he has a "dirty aura"? And at the end, or cliffhanger if you will, Gavin finds out why it might be best to disclose certain things upfront if you are starting to have feelings for one of your blind date challenges. I cannot wait for the next installment and I truly hope Gavin can get it all figured out so he can get that HEA that I really want him to have! This is definitely a one-click book for sure, as is everything by this author, that I think you will all enjoy.

Like the first book this one is very well written, however the more I get to know Gavin the less I like him. For someone that struggles with their own demons and issues he seems to be lacking empathy for the struggles of others. Example: his meet up with Joanne. He wants her to know what a horrible person she is for cheating on him, completely ignoring her side of things. I've dated an addict who chose his addiction over our relationship and I've been cheated on, so i can easily see both sides and let me say, having someone chose their addiction over our relationship hurt just as much as being cheated on. Gavin also has a huge double standard. After his date with Tiffany and her assessment of him he says: “So wait, let me get this straight. You’re making some blanket claim against me, having not gotten to know a thing about me.” Tiffany points out they just spent an hour and a half together. In the first book after spending all of probably 10-15 minutes with Tabitha Gavin is calling her "the most horrible ****" he's ever met. I can relate to Gavin in a lot of ways and I want to like him but he doesn't make it easy. Will I read the third book? You bet because that ending, OMG!

I interrupted my long TBR to read Part One, and did it again for Part Two. This is not a stand alone book and Part One needs to be read first and just like Part One, this book also ends with a cliff hanger. If cliff hangers are a problem, wait until the third installment comes out.

Gavin's story continues and picks up right from where Part One left off. You still meet a few of the crazies that Gavin encounters during his dates, but this book has more character development as we learn a little more about a couple of the females that Gavin actually is interested in. I can't get over the realistic nature of this book and what dating can be like during this time. Just like Part One, the story line isn't far fetched, it's all very realistic and relatable in some form. There is one particular scene that I'm sure is nod to a fellow author and a wine spilling incident that occurred on a cruise feels like an inside joke to share with his devoted fans (squirrels). If you're looking for a fun read that is also heartwarming, than this book definitely needs to be added to your TBR list.

FYI turn away if you don't like cliffhangers. Actually add it to your TBR list and wait for all parts.

We continue Gavin's journey through his swipedate adventure. He isn't as reluctant to go on these dates however he never thought he would start to actually have feelings for two of them. Although Sammy is in the forefront of his mind and who he wants to choose, when he comes across Megan the attraction is still there. What a difficult decision to make. And then boom another wrench thrown into his already difficult life.

BT Urruela has a gift for writing. He has me laughing instantly, has me getting angry and more. The characters of Gavin and Sami are just two real world people. They could be you or your best friend. BT draws his readers in with this real written story. No that is not a mistake. I mean real. Everything in the book is real. No fantasy or fluff. Just real. And sometimes getting the real is all you need. Bravo and can't wait for the next part!

Gavin is a week into his SwipeDate challenge. His best friend Bobby challenged him to go on 30 dates in 30 days, he if succeeds Gavin's gets 25k for his trouble. He never dreamed he would actually find one woman that interested him let alone two. As he struggles to complete the challenge and deal with his growing feelings, a blast from the past shows up that could change everything and not necessarily for the better.

I loved this book. I was literally laughing out loud in the first 10 minutes of reading it, and the feelings just continued. The characters are very relate-able and lovable. I laughed, cringed, swore, and talked out loud to the book (for me this is sign that I love it) and found myself falling in love with Gavin as works to rebuild his life. Pick it up today and read it, you won't be sorry.

I knew going in that Thirty Days: Part One was to end in a cliffhanger, so I accepted it and even agreed with where it left me, ready for the continuation. Even going in to Thirty Days: Part Two, I was expecting another cliffhanger, BUT I wasn't expecting for my mouth to be left hanging open in shock! Great job Mr. Urruela! Can't wait for the next installment of Thirty Days, to see what Gavin does next in his journey of SwipeDate. One thing this has reminded me and I'd wish for all dating females to understand, is, men have feelings too. As females may be anxious about a date, males may be anxious too. I enjoyed the writing and storyline. Felt like I was watching true, believable events as they were happening! Bring on Part Three!

The dating drama continues....

Gavin is having a bit of a rough time keeping his dates and daily life in order. Even though he meets "the one" he is still unsure about to commit, especially after his ex suddenly returns into his life. He decides to meet with her and is more determined to move on with his life. The story ends in a twist that will push him into making a decision of what he is truly looking for.
I love this book. What really struck me is the relationship between Gavin and his Alzheimer's stricken grandmother. It shows a more vulnerable side of him and how deeply he loves. This book really put a smile on my face and I'm looking forward to the continuance of Gavin's story.

Gavin's dating adventures continue...
BT gives us the chance to see more insight into what makes Gavin tick and experience some of his therapy as he deals with his childhood abuse and how it effects him as an adult. Although the book deals with serious subjects it also has lighter moments. Many dates don't turn out the way you plan so with hysterical situations and conversations the story has a good balance of both.
With many more dates to go to complete the challenge Gavin seems drawn to two ladies but one stands out. He now has to figure out how to handle this new dilemma. What will he do? This book ends in another cliffhanger.

Thirty Days: Part Two picks up where part one left off and continues to take us through the next eleven days of Gavin's 30 Swipedate challenge.Gavin is beginning to find himself and let his guard down, it was great to see him start to let go and have fun. His relationship with his grandma is so heartwarming. I loved reading every moment they were together. Reading about some of the dates had me laughing out loud as well as the banter between Gavin and Bobby. I really love these characters, BT has done such a great job developing them, they are so real and relatable. The ending though...ahhh another cliffhanger. I can't wait for book 3.

I couldn't wait for this second book to come out, since the awesome cliffhanger in book one. This swipe date story is so realistic and refreshing, thank god it continues! Gavin now has got himself in the exact place he didn't want to be with Sami, not having told her about the 30 dates in 30 days bet he agreed to. What will happen next? Can't wait to find out, BT has given this book all the feels, and leaving us wanting more, a must read realistic look at internet dating, can't wait for book 3!

*this book is #2 in the series (if you didn't read the title)... make sure you read book one first.

BT Urruela describes the sound of vinyl records as different than digital music- Raw. Genuine. Thats the best way to describe this story. Add to that, funny, heart warming, exciting & gut wrenching. As I did with Thirty Days Part 1, I laughed, smiled cheered and screamed (in my head since others were around, but it was tough to contain!). *There is another cliff hanger ending, but I'll forgive BT for that.

This book is the second in this trilogy and these books are not standalone, so they must be read in order.

Gavin's story is getting better all the time. BT Urruela's writing style is so relatable and he is masterful at making you fall in love with his characters, and their many flaws. Gavin's mental and emotional wounds are healing, and he is on the precipice of a new lease on life, if he can manage not to screw it up. This book gave me a full range of emotions and I can't wait for book three to see how Gavin survives it all. Great read!!!

I couldn't put this down! in the next installment of Calvin's story we find him continuing with the challenge thrown down by his friend Bobby - 30 dates in 30 days. But, emerging feelings for Sami, his past intruding his present, Gavin tries to hold it all together. But, will one indecision cost him his possible future? I love these characters. BT has written them beautifully. You feel like they actually exist in this world and you just might bump into them somewhere. Difficult issues are addressed in a realistic, yet meaningful way. Loved this book and can't wait for Part 3!

Great second book in a trilogy

This is the second in the Swipe Date trilogy. In this book Gavin continues on his thirty dates as he tries to navigate through his creative block with the help of drugs and alcohol. Bad dates, a visit with his ex and his struggles with writing has him questioning if he'll survive these dates. After meeting Sami, a woman who he clicks with he's not sure his heart is in it to go on to the next date. Great humor, engaging characters and Gavin's internal emotional war makes this a great read! Ends in a cliffhanger--bring on book three!

Gavin is continuing his Swipe Date challenge, but finds himself making a connection with one of them. It was nice to watch Gavin develop some feelings for someone when he didn't think he could. I am loving his journey to fight his demons. This book had me laughing quiet a bit!! I really love the relationship between Gavin and Bobby, everyone needs that one friend they can count on in their life. The ending to this part was epic and I can't wait to see where BT takes Gavin next.

BT is a genius. His characters are real and he makes the words seem effortlessly written.

Gavin is making strides in his challenge. Yet, he's found happiness with one woman, Sami. Will he be honest with her or ride out the remaining 30 days? Can he share his personal life with her and still forge on with others? Will the challenge backfire?

An outstanding read with a cliffhanger that's driving me crazy until book 3 is released. A. MUST. READ.

BT Urruela has done it again!! I am absolutely loving this series and I cannot turn the pages quick enough to see what is coming next.
Gavin and his SwipeDate experiences have me, laughing out loud, cringing and thinking how downright rude some dates can be......his connection with Sami has my heart happy.....but it's his journey as a whole that has me smiling big.......I am super excited to see what comes next.

Part 2 picks up right where part 1 left us hanging. It builds well on Gavin's swipe dating story while he starts to develop feelings for a special someone. We see more into Gavin's struggle with self hate and depression. It is a great continuation of part 1 but be warned at the end you may want to throw your Kindle!! I can't wait for Part 3!!

I loved this one! I love following Gavin's journey into the dating world and getting his take on what he finds. It also reveals more of a personal side of the main character as well as his relationship with his family. But, all is not wine and roses as we find in the second cliff hanger of this series. Can't wait for the final installment to see how this gets resolved! Good writing and dialogue.

Yes, you need this book.

I love this author, and I really like Gavin's story. It definitely not the average boy meets girl. I was just really starting to root for someone, and then. ..ugh. Not to mention the cliffhanger at the end. Anxiously awaiting Part three! Thirty days are almost up, I wonder if Gavin can a make it through.

Amazing read

Read all 3 parts. It's so worth it. BT does an amazing job creating real characters and showing the full range of emotions surrounding someone with depression and PTSD. If you've ever wondered what the experience was like or wanted to know if there was a light at the end of the tunnel, read Gavin's story.
