Die Digitalisierung verändert die Welt: neue Erkenntnis fehlt. Bereiche der Wirtschaft verändern sich. Es nützt nur, wenn digitale Daten benutzbar gemacht werden. Ein Beispiel war BVG, die Verkehrs Daten voranzutreiben. Die digitale Fotografie sind bespiele für den wandeln. Thermondo hilft beispielsweise für Gas und Wasser. Leider habe ich noch nichts gehört - ihr? Das Problem ist, dass die Iterationen verkürzen und Innovationen schneller vorantreiben.

Manche Branchen ändern sich nicht wie Bestatter oder Gärtner. Ein Discounter zum Beispiel passt sich an, um seine Effizienz zu steigern beispielsweise in der Logistik. Das hilft bei Lagerbeständen. Aussaat-Apps helfen John Deer die Kundenbindung zu erhöhen.

Tolle Beispiele, aber mehr Tiefgang wäre besser.

This was a good reminder book of the way to consider digital with some interesting real-stories included to support the content.

However, there was not a lot new in this for me; but if you haven't read a book on digital strategy or digital thinking then this is worth a read.

Why? What? and How? will companies evolve/adjust/perish in the digital age? A good, if somewhat tech oriented primer on the new ways of doing business. For anyone who has seen the birth of the internet, facebook, smartphones, Kindle readers, etc it is required reading to maintain a business.

Think a grocery store does not need it? Think Amazon will take over whole foods?

The subject is incredibly vast and rapidly expanding, but the book gives you a good push in the right direction(s)

I was hoping for more from this. A move to Digital Business is a major driver at my company, so I was hoping this book would provide some detail in what and how to be successful. That was the high level intro to this book. However, I think the book was a collection of essays and many were weaker or less relevant than I would have liked.

Alles Wesentliche ist erfasst. Wer sich neu in das Thema einarbeiten findet hier eine sehr gute Grundlage. Für Fortgeschrittene ist nichts neues zu finden. Danke für die gute holistische Gesamtzusammenfassung

I just couldn't finish it. For me this is yet another book that should have been a series of blog posts, and not really a book. It just didn't have a good flow.

The book could be interesting for those who don't follow the trends in digital... for me it was more of the same...
Being written by consultants, the book is full of questions and the answers are not always clear. Also, because the book had the contribution of many McKinsey partners, the examples are repeated making the book a some of parts instead of a whole.
