Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.

Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.

Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

its my favorite book I loved it! its just like the movie

This is part of the cinestory series of books where they take a movie or television series and make a comic out of it using photos from the movie or television show. In this case, they take the original Star Wars film and frame by frame turn it into a comic. It's basically like seeing the movie on the page. This is a very easy read that can appeal to long time fans and new readers as well. Note this is not the original theatrical release. This is the revised edition where George Lucas "tweaked" and added small extras. Still, it is a good read and a nice option if the film is not handy. I liked it.

This is basically like rating the movie. I really enjoyed reading this. It was told through images from the movie, in the style of a comic, and I thought it all went together quite nicely. It's definitely something I recommend to fans of Star Wars. I might not be the biggest fan but I can still appreciate the fact that they are amazing science fiction epics and I appreciate them for what they've done to the genre.

Very unique and engaging way to read the original Star Wars: A New Hope, as a 400-page "Cinestory Comic" where actual photos throughout the film are shown with comic speech bubbles for dialog. Also, the last 30 pages of the book are a creative look at the art, scripts, costumes, props, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Hmm I actually quite like this!! It was rendered well as a comic and I like that when you flip through the pages you can speed up your page reading time on scenes that were slow in the original movie and slow down in parts that I cared about

Also revisiting this reminded me of my strong han leia feels :))))

I'm not a big star wars person, but I decided to give this a go. If I could have all star wars done like this I would probably be more invested.

I loved the format and understood the plot better. I definitely will be finding more star wars graphic novels!

I don’t care how many times I read it or watch it—I’ll never get tired of the first Star Wars story. So when my friend told me about this Cinestory comic, I knew I had to get it.

This adaptation took stills from A New Hope and put them into comic book form, complete with speech text bubbles. It was a fun way to read one of my favourite stories—the editors made some interesting choices in what stills they used.

I flew through this book. When I flipped through the pages, I could hear the characters’ voices—it was like watching the movie all over again. It was like a fun escape from my life, wherever I was.

However, I have a hard time writing this review because there’s nothing really to say. It was a fun experience, but this adaptation didn’t really add anything to the overall story. With graphic novel and comic book adaptations, there’s usually extra nuances in the artwork that bring out another layer to the Star Wars story we all know and love. Reading this almost felt like a lower-quality version of the movie, as much as I enjoyed it.

Overall, it was a fun ride but nothing special. I don’t regret reading it, but I’m ready to move on to the next Star Wars adventure.
