Manfred Mohr - Vom Rhythmus zum Algorithmus: Arbeiten aus 50 Jahren

Rate this book
Manfred Mohr is amongst the international pioneers of digital art. Before and after studying at the École des Beaux-Arts (1963-66), he began to deploy computers within his own artistic productions. Since the 1970s, he has been developing mathematical-aesthetic experiments of increasing complexity – including n-dimensional hypercubes, calculable but no longer conceivable. Manfred Mohr grants them form and thus makes them sensually palpable. This publication is released in conjunction with the exhibition at the Pforzheim Galerie (GER) and documents the large-scale retrospective with works from all periods of Mohr’s practice.
