I hate my new roommate.

And I want to do dirty, delicious things to her in that swing she installed that we both know has nothing to do with aerial yoga.

Neither of which is good, considering Diana Daniels is my NHL team captain’s little sister, and he will break my face if I’m not a perfect gentleman.

I try to be. Really, I do. But when Diana runs screaming down the hall wearing nothing but a damp washcloth, all my gentlemanly intentions go out the window. She’s got all sorts of Jedi mind tricks to make a man obsessed with getting her into bed, and I’m not gonna lie—I fall for every single one of them.

Especially the one where she warns me not to fall for her.

***

Everyone knows that banging your new roomie is a bad idea. And if it wasn’t for his sister’s stupid pet pig, Wanda, chasing me out of the bathroom mid-shower, Tanner Nowicki and I might still be able to pretend we hate each other.

But that pig totally has it out for me, and before I can warn Tanner that I don’t do relationships—or hockey players or my brother’s friends, for that matter—he’s doing me. Against the wall. And in his bed. And in my bed. And on a pinball machine where we get an all time high score.

And it’s so incredible that I start to forget that I’m the unluckiest woman alive when it comes to relationships. And pigs. And aerial yoga. And worst of all, love.

But hey, it’s not like I didn’t warn him…

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Hahahahahaha this book had me laughing out loud at times. This author can be so on point and so funny it hurts.

Diana and Tanner are completely hot and the chemistry between the two completely leaps off the pages and singes your underwear. Be warned people, this is one hot read!

Tanner really is a lovely guy and he stays steadfast and sure in the fact that he wants Diana and never treats her badly, says anything nasty and is there for her.

Diana is man shy as she feels like she has always made bad decisions when it comes down to men and gets scared when what she thought was true in her past turns out to be false.

We get to see a little about previous characters and we also get to meet Amanda and see a little more of Russian Petrov who will feature in the next book.

I loved this book so much that i read it in one day and i really cannot wait to read the next book. This whole series seriously just seems to get better and better.

Well worth reading, just bring a fan to cool yourself down with.

A Review of Puck Aholic by Lili Valente

More Badgers - 5+++++ stars

Another book in the NHL Series about the Seattle Badgers. This time we get a look at the rookie, Nowicki and get to learn more about him and why he is so terrified of mannequins. We got to learn a little bit about him in Brendan and Laura's book and we also got to meet Diana in that book since she is Brendan's little sister and Chloe's aunt. I have to admit, there were a few times throughout the book that I wasn't so sure that I really liked Diana. I love her quirks, but just some of the ways that she treated Tanner were a little off-putting for me. She is definitely one of a kind, which I appreciate and I was really happy that she was able to help Nowicki with some of his issues.

Now, I am really looking forward to Petrov and Mandy's story and the issues they will have to face, especially since he has had such a disastrous outcome in his last relationship. Ms. Valente writes such strong characters that you either love them or hate them or grow to love them and they feel like family. You definitely don't want to miss this one!

Favorite quote:
"Bad ideas that involve climbing Muscle Boy like a jungle gym and taking advantage of my new aerial-yoga-acquired flexibility to see how many ways we can get tangled up in each other before we collapse from exhaustion."

➦Lili Valente has become one of my fave romcom authors and I can pretty much count on having a good laugh while reading her books. This book gave me a severe case of giggles.

➦See, there was this PIGGY. An evil piggy, who the hero was sharing his apartment with. Until he also started sharing his apartment with the heroine.

➦So you're imagining this situation, right? Where all of them are sharing an apartment. Three cool roomies. Well, except, the pig has it out for the newcomer. And boy, will she make her life miserable.

➦But between battles for dominance with the pig there is also romance. These two main characters try to stay strictly friends, but they don't try too hard, if you know what I mean.

➦If you're looking for a lighthearted read with a "roommates trope" and "don't fall for a friend's sister trope" then check this one out! I have to say that I enjoyed it but I didn't really connect with the characters all the way, especially the hero. I really wanted him to be more developed. There wasn't much "justifiable" angst either and I kind of sort of got a little bit bored there by the end. Still liked it, though! But you know me,

Prepare to swoon. SWOON, in all capitals, because Tanner deserves his name written in the sky. Diana is hilarious, and one tough, yet vulnerable, cookie, but Tanner is the true hero of this story. Wanda could win a supporting Oscar, and Petrov...well, I can't wait for his book! Can you tell I loved this book? Good, go and read it!

A sweet and sexy 5 star read:)
Another great story with lovable characters! It's getting harder and harder to write original reviews of Lili Valente's books without repeating how much I love her writing style and characters.

Tanner Nowicki is just coming off his rookie year with the Badgers and he needs to impress the team, as well as the captain, if he plans on sticking around. So the last thing on his mind should be his captain's little sister. So what if they shared a hot make-out session on the beach, she is off limits. But how is he supposed to resist her when he finds out she's his new roommate?

Diana Daniels wants nothing to do with men. After the terrible luck she's had with men she's not interested in anything other than a quick fling. So what if her new roommate is a gorgeous, well-built, and incredibly sweet guy. No one can be as good as they seem, right? When Tanner starts to develop real feelings for Diana he knows it's time to talk to her big brother but what he doesn't expect is for Diana to run from the relationship that they've started to build.

5++++ stars and OMG - did you see that cover!! That's a 10 for sure.

So let me first say that I absolutely FLOVE this series and Lili so hard!! Each male lead has been my favorite, but I'm not sure any of them can beat out Tanner. For once - it is a hockey player who ISN'T a player; who remains true to his woman (not just in the fidelity sense) and is such an awesome guy all around.

Here are the varied reasons why I love Lili Valente books...Wanda the pig...Mr. Prickly Pants...killer mermaids...squirrely brain...magical unicorn (part of the male anatomy)...phobia names that no one else would know. <3

Favorite quotes:
"God I f***ing miss f***ing."
"...a night to pretend I still believe there are a few princes left in a world full of jokers, liars, and thieves."
"Now shut up and come for me, psycho." "You're psycho."
"All of us deserve to be loved. Especially lovely little weirdos like you."

You will absolutely fall in love with Tanner and Diana. Diana is a little broken Beach Pixie and Tanner is just the guy to fix her up. And the words of wisdom out of the mouths of babes may be one of my favorite parts - right before the starring role of Mr. Prickly Pants.

This series is one not to be missed!! It has so much heart, humor, great pets, and even better nicknames.

One of Lili's finest which is saying alot!!!!!

Ohhhh puck that was a great read.
Tanner is a cocky rookie who has a soft spot for a sweet little swine called Wanda.
Diana is sassy pants gal who is not looking for ice time with Tanner.
When these two have a not so serious discussion about killer mermaids they could not have known what the future held for them.
Then Wanda done got in the middle of them and all hell broke lose.
Once Wanda was under control they finally had time to explore the steam attraction they had for each other. Mind blowing sex was def on the agenda for them. That Tanner really knows how to please a gal.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Hot as Puck (Bad Motherpuckers #1)
Sexy Motherpucker (Bad Motherpuckers #2)

This is Diana and Tanner’s story. Forbidden that is what she is. His team captain’s little sister. He tries to not obsess with her but with the Jedi mind tricks she has going on he am falling. Add a swing that is used for yoga but could be used for so much more and not sure if he is going to make it through this roommate situation. One pig is all it takes to further complicate things. What is seen can’t be unseen. Now they are together but he does not know she does not do relationships or hockey players. But can he change her mind?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

This was a pretty sweet story and perfect for anyone that loves the brothers-friend forbidden romance, like myself. It was a super easy read to finish in one sitting and had some humous moments to go along with the romance. I do wish that I got to know that characters a little more, and by the end I was kind of getting annoyed with the heroine since I didn't really understand her motives behind things she did. But other than that I didn't have any issues with this book and I'm actually dying to get my hands on the next one.

YAY! The third installation of the Bad Motherpuckers!

Puck Aholic was interesting - to say the least. In it, you will meet Tanner and Diana. Now we sort of meet Diana in the second book of this series - and trust me, I loved her then too. These two were amazing. They had such amazing chemistry that it just made me smile throughout the entire book.

Tanner is such a sweetheart. He never treats Diana badly and it just made heart pitter patter - or ya know grow three times bigger than usual. Then there's Diana and I honestly have nothing bad to say about her. I love them both equally.

Overall, I'm enjoying these hockey books and the smut that they give me. I can't wait to see how this whole thing will end.

Diana is annoying😐

I really liked book 1&2, this one was ok. Tanner was so sweet and nice, and Diana was straight up annoying! I didn't find myself laughing much at all. I was too busy wondering what the heck is wrong with this girl. So she's had loser boyfriends, all the more reason to see the unicorn in front of you. Her most annoying trait was lumping all men in one category and thinking love is just bad. I know this plot works in other books, but not this one. If you read book 2, then you know the back story of her brother and losing his wife and finding love again. Seeing what her brother went through should've taught her not to be so darn cynical, but the author wrote Diana's views to seem like she's never even seen real love work before...I almost didn't finish this book and found myself quickly reading the last 25% just to hurry and get it done. Tanner is the reason it gets 3 stars.

4 pet pigs and unicorn stars!

I really like this series, well-written, fun, and steamy sports romance with loveable characters.

Tanner just finished his rookie year with the Badgers and his focus is on hockey and spending more years in town where he feels at home.
But even cute, hard-working jocks get lonely so when a wandering, slightly high pixie of a woman comes up to him on the beach and suggests they make out for a while, just to protect him from evil mermaids, of course, who is he to say no?
Well, beach pixie turns out to be not only his captain's little sister, but also his new roommate. Despite their previous make out session, they are pretty frustrated living together, so it's not an easy ride at first. Diana thinks she's done with love after realizing all her previous boyfriends are horrible people and makes herself believe that she has the shittiest luck when it comes to relationships. Tanner has his work cut out for himself convincing her that not only should they give into the crazy chemistry between them, but also that it's safe to let feelings into the mix too.

I’m all about the hockey books at the moment, and I sorta stumbled across this one on Amazon. Tanner and Diana’s story was as swoons as it was hilarious, and upon finishing I knew that I would be going back to read the other books in the series, because I. NEED. MORE. BADGERS!!!

Puck Aholic, by the wonderfully, talented and hilarious Lili Valente, is the third book in the Bad Motherpuckers series. Lili is one of my go-to-authors. I know everything she writes is going to be fantastic. She's quickly become one of the best writers of romantic comedy. I love all of her books, but this hockey series is top notch! We've met Tanner before. He has a hilarious phobia that I'm still laughing about. He's also sexy, gentle, kind, funny, romantic, muscle-y, dirty mouthed and swoonworthy. In a nutshell, he's my favorite character of 2017 who I wish were real. He's the perfect specimen. He's not a jerk. He's not a douche and he's not a player. He's perfection. He's paired with the hilarious, quirky, hot mess, Diana(Brendan's sister). She's new to town and she's had very bad luck with men. She's wildly attracted to her sexy, hockey playing roommate, but acting on it is a big mistake. But, the more she gets to know him and sees that he's really a genuinely nice guy, her defenses are blown. She needs to climb him like a tree. Be up against every surface in their house and be under him at every chance she can get. Can Diana get out of her own way and trust that Tanner is real? Will Tanner let the best thing that's ever happened to him get away? I loved this story! I laughed, teared up, got hot and bothered and laughed some more. I can't get enough of this series or these characters. Bring on Petrov!

"So the pig is in love with you? Is that what you're saying?"
"The ladies love me, Diana. It's my cross to bear."

"This is sex, Tanner. Magical unicorn-penis sex, and that's it." His dimples pop, and I laugh. I can't help it. "You look so proud of yourself."
"Well, it's not every day a guy learns he's got a magical unicorn penis."

I want her tight against me, her breath in my mouth, her heartbeat echoing in my chest, her skin hot against mine. I want her time and attention, her laughter and tears, her smartass jokes and thoughtful touches and way of saying my name like she's got a secret and can't wait to share it with me.

Puck Aholic is the third book in the Bad Motherpucker series by the very talented Lili Valente. Each book in the series can be read as standalone but there is a connection. A hockey team. Friends. Siblings. Puck Aholic is Tanner (rookie player) and Diana's (Brendan's sister/player) story...

Tanner just finished his rookie season. He had a great year but he needs to keep his focus if he wants to stay on the team. And that means no Summer flings. No commitments. It's been months since he has had anyone in his bed so he can do this. No problem. He isn't a one-night stand kinda guy anyway. He is a relationship guy. Then she shows up. A Beach Pixie that turns his life upside down with a kiss. She saved his life on the beach that night and now she is his new roomie. She also happens to be his team Captain's sister. This has complicated all over it. He should have told her no but he couldn't. He thought he could do this. Stay away from her. She is off-limits. She drives him insane. She doesn't want more than a fuck. It should be easy to keep his distance, right?

Wrong. So very wrong. She knew it. Diana knew it when she saw him again. He seemed nice enough on the beach. Hot enough for sure. But that was all it could ever be. She swore off relationships when one after the other turned disastrous. Her luck in love was a bust. She thought she found the one but he was gone. And she was starting over. And now she was living with the man that heated her up while pissing her off. A pig that was jealous of her. And no job. She can do this. She can totally stay away from her hot roommate. Especially when she finds out he is not a friends with benefits type of guy. Who doesn't do that anyway? A good guy that she can't risk having.

Tanner and Diana's story is a roommates to lovers romance but it is different than others I have read. It's refreshing that Tanner is not a manwhore but a relationship guy. I do love a good manwhore, don't get me wrong. Ha. Anyway, the story is hilarious, sexy, and so much fun!! Tanner is swoon-worthy, dedicated, sweet, and one amazing dirty talker. Diana is all-round kick ass. She is independent, fun, and sexy. Together, they are crazy beautiful.

Overall...if you want a fun and sexy read then this book is for you! I love this series and it was great catching up with the previous characters and to get to know the ones that will be in the next book!

Quotes:

“Consider me cake, and you’re on a diet.”
“Cake,” I echo, scowling into her golden-brown eyes.
“And I’ll consider you the same.”

He’s a work of art, a thing of beauty I would feel compelled to photograph immediately if I weren’t so desperate to touch him, taste him, and feel his skin hot and hungry against mine.

“I think we’re going to get a high score,” I gasp against Tanner’s lips.

This was an okay read, nice and easy to follow and likely forgettable. Sometimes you need a book like that to break up heavier reads and I do adore sports romances.

This is the third book in the series, but has different main characters and can be read as a standalone. One of the main characters annoyed me a bit, she's so jaded that she defaulted to treating the guy who liked her poorly and I think he deserved better. I didn't really like the pig either, it's a weird pet and that thing was mean!

I absolutely loved Diana and Tanner. I've liked Tanner's character since I read Hot as Puck. Something about him always seemed genuine and likeale. Diana is such a free spirit, honest and so different that she is hard not to like.

This book was so much fun. I literally laughed out loud on so many parts. The relationship between Tanner and Diana is so fun, honest and heartwarming. They get each other. Their love explores many obstacles in their relationship, especially Diana's insecurities with falling in love. I love how they brought out the best of each other. From Tanner seeing the true Diana and respecting her talent and career from Diana helping him overcome his fear of mannequins.

Lili Valente's style of writing is amazing. It is intriguing, catching and humerous. I can't wait for Amanda and Petrov's story.

Unpopular opinion here:

Maybe it's because I read this after I finished an awesome read... Maybe it's because today has been so hot and humid and I'm PMS'ing... Maybe it's because the book's story arc was a little too predictable and the jokes/funny scenes fell flat for me ... but, man! this book left me wanting for more. More depth. More sarcasm. More angst (what angst/drama there was just in the story just seemed so shallow). Sigh. The best part of the relationship (and the book!), imo, turned out to be Wanda --- the mini pig!

Okay read

Interesting story with some really good points but just couldn’t get over the fact that I didn’t like Diana. She was older but came over as a spoilt immature child and frankly didn’t deserve such a great guy. It’s a story I know but didn’t like her.

Sweet, funny, heartbreaking, full of laughter at times, you will find Diana and Tanner in many awkward situations, full of humor, funny situations, yet serious times, discussions, thoughts. Two of them end up thrown together, fighting their feelings for each other, yet living in the same house together, things get heated. Great story, worth your time, loved it.❤️

Hysterical

Oh my gosh I am seriously obsessed with this series! It is always a riot, always a great read, but this one took it to the next level! A pig called Wanda, and Mr Prickly Pants take this hockey tale to another level of insanity. Absolutely 5 stars, no questions asked! Time to read the next!
