Secondo volume sulle sorelle Sullivan e il Salty Key Inn, l’albergo ricevuto in eredità e che stanno ristrutturando sotto il caldo sole della Florida. Le tre sorelle, il cui rapporto in precedenza era stato anche di contrasti, con la sfida dell’albergo hanno scoperto nuove cose su loro stesse ma anche imparato ad apprezzare le altre nella diversità.In questo secondo volume conosciamo molto meglio Darcy, quella all’apparenza più superficiale e fredda con le sorelle, e che cambierà molto nel corso della storia.
Nella lettera destinata a lei, infatti, lo zio le ha scritto una frase sibillina, su cui sta rimuginando non poco: lei non vuole stare in Florida, ci è andata perché la sorella maggiore le ha costrette, e sta facendo di tutto perché i tempi si abbreviano nella ristrutturazione da poter così andare via.L’incontro con Nick, l’anziano caporedattore del giornale locale, però cambia poco alla volta le sue idee: quella che nasce come una collaborazione lavorativa, la porta a rapportarsi sempre di più non solo con le persone del posto, ma anche a scoprire tante storie di vita.

Vivere in Florida l’ha cambiata e le ha dato una prospettiva di vita diversa; alcune scoperte sul passato dello zio e che verranno alla luce durante la storia, renderanno Darcy più determinata, ma anche grata per la sua nuova vita.Insomma un personaggio che davvero non era prevedibile cambiasse in modo così maturo, e che sorprende sicuramente.I POV sono sempre alternati, anche se in questo volume sono per lo più di Darcy, ma il romanzo resta comunque una storia corale, sulla famiglia.

Awesome series
I love this series. I love reading that are near the ocean. I really like the part about a city in Florida. It sounds like a neat place to visit some day. I like that sisters are getting to know while bringing the hotel back up to have guests again. Awesome book

This is the second book of a trilogy. This is a story of 3 sisters trying to meet a challenge left to them by their uncle. They must get a run down hotel up and running within one year to get the money left to them in his will. The hotel has its challenges and the sisters are learning they are much different people than they thought they were. They are gaining confidence in themselves. There are many characters coming in and out of the sisters' lives which makes the book very interesting. Good storyline, keeps your attention. Waiting for book #3!

This was an excellent continuation of the first book.I like these beach type reads.If you read the first book then this book will give you more insight of the process of the renovation and love lives of the characters.I recommend this book even if you have not read the first book.This is a book that you want to know what happens next so you can read it fast to finish but now I'm waiting for book 3.Enjoy this book I sure did great read.

Secondo libro della serie Salty Key Inn dove le protagoniste sono le tre sorelle Sullivan-Morelli.
Il primo ci aveva fatto conoscere Sheena, Darcy e Regan e la sfida che lo zio Gavin Sullivan aveva lanciato loro sotto forma di eredità, ovvero vivere e lavorare insieme nell’hotel per cercare di metterlo in condizioni di ricevere ospiti nell’arco di un anno. Se si fossero attenute a questo vincolo, al termine dell’anno avrebbero ricevuto l’altra parte di eredità altrimenti avrebbero perso tutto.
In questo libro le tre sorelle continuano con la sfida che lo zio Gavin ha lasciato loro nel suo testamento. Si sono poste come obbiettivo di aprire il Labor Day. C’è ancora molto da fare però. Per fortuna, possono contare sull’aiuto di Brian, Austin, gli amici di zio Gavin e del designer d’interni Mosè Green, Mo per gli amici. Oltre a quello del marito di Sheena, Tony, e i loro figli, che si sono trasferiti definitivamente in Florida.
Mentre continuano questo viaggio insieme lavorando alla locanda, portano avanti le loro carriere secondarie: come scrittrice (Darcy), designer di interni (Regan) e mamma (Sheena).
Nonostante sia una narrazione corale, la storia questa volta è più incentrata su Darcy, sulla sua vita lavorativa e privata. La conosceremo meglio, scopriremo che il suo desiderio è diventare scrittrice/giornalista e poter viaggiare. Infatti pensava, e sperava, che una volta che l'hotel fosse stato ristrutturato e funzionante avrebbe potuto girare per il mondo e scrivere un libro, magari prendendo spunto dai luoghi visitati. Forse, però, non deve aspettare l’apertura dell’albergo per poterlo fare. L’appuntamento con il giornalista Nick Howard, concordato dalla sorella maggiore per promuovere la loro attività, farà sì che il desiderio di Darcy si avveri. Grazie a lui trova infatti un lavoro part-time scrivendo per il giornale locale. Prima recensioni a ristoranti con uno pseudonimo e poi articoli incentrati sulle storie di persone comuni, da lei conosciute o incontrate. Nick la prende sotto la sua ala protettrice, diventa il suo pigmalione e, quando i suoi problemi di salute si aggravano, le propone di prendere il suo posto alla redazione del giornale. Per quanto riguarda la vita privata le cose sono un po’ complicate. Prova una forte attrazione per Austin Blakely, per altro ricambiata, ma ha paura di rimanere scottata come in precedenza. Un malinteso compromette non solo la loro amicizia, ma anche una eventuale relazione. Riusciranno a spiegarsi, a dissipare i vari dubbi, a fidarsi l’uno dell’altra?
Molto dettagliata la descrizione dell’hotel e del ristorante situati sul golfo della Florida. Mi sembrava di essere con le protagoniste, di vedere tramite i loro occhi la situazione in cui versa l’hotel, ma anche i cambiamenti apportati da Regan e dal suo amico Mo. Sembra anche di sentire lo sciabordio delle onde, camminare sulla spiaggia e raccogliere conchiglie. In definitiva, il lettore viene trasportato in Florida senza muoversi da casa.
Ho adorato il modo in cui l'autrice ha mantenuto il ritmo veloce e ha aggiunto alcuni colpi di scena per mantenere alta la concentrazione nel lettore. La scrittura accurata e scorrevole, i dialoghi frizzanti e a volte divertenti, così come alcuni siparietti tra i protagonisti e un’ambientazione da sogno rendono la lettura fluida e piacevole. La narrazione avviene con il pov alternato delle tre sorelle. I personaggi risultano ben delineati e si può percepire sia il loro carattere che l’aspetto fisico.
Ho apprezzato le tre sorelle, così come gli altri personaggi, in particolare Brian e Austin (ho un debole per loro), ma anche Mosè Green, il nonno di Austin, Bill, e Nick Howard. La prima volta che Darcy vede quest’ultimo dice che assomiglia a Babbo Natale e per lei lo è stato veramente! Ha realizzato il suo sogno.
Nel complesso è una storia ben scritta sull'amicizia, la famiglia, l'amore.
Questo libro è davvero una boccata d'aria fresca.

Molto più ingarbugliata è invece la sua vita privata, infatti Darcy prova una certa attrazione , tra l'altro corrisposta, per Austin, ma un malinteso comprometterà la sua futura relazione con lui. Riusciranno entrambi a chiarirsi?

L'autrice in questo suo nuovo romanzo ci mostra una nuova protagonista, Darcy, andremo infatti a vivere insieme a lei, vari aspetti della sua vita e del suo carattere. Verranno svelati alcuni fatti riguardanti il passato di zio Gavin che la renderanno molto più determinata e grata per tutto ciò che le sta intorno e per la sua nuova vita.
•Devo dire che mi è piaciuta molto la personalità di Darcy e l'evolversi della sua personalità pagina dopo pagina. A fine libro c'è stata una maturazione così completa da renderla praticamente irriconoscibile.
•Come sempre la scrittura della Keim è stupenda, e ancora una volta riesce a sorprendermi con i suoi personaggi e le sue descrizioni facendomi emozionare perché ricca di significato e molto profonda.
•Lo consiglio? Si, a chi ha voglia di perdersi tra spiagge dorate, caldo, sole e amore.

L'avventura delle sorelle Sullivan alle prese con la sfida lanciata loro dallo zio Gavin continua.
La data della possibile apertura del Salty Key Inn si avvicina e ognuno fa del proprio meglio per preparare tutto. Nel frattempo Sheena, Darcy e Reagan si trovano anche a dover iniziare a pensare a cosa accadrà quando l'hotel sarà avviato e saranno riuscite a vincere la sfida.
In questo libro, nonostante si possa vedere il progresso delle tre sorelle, si vede meglio la crescita di Darcy e ciò che decide di fare del suo futuro.
Darcy decide di coltivare il suo desiderio di diventare una scrittrice e, per farlo, inizia a collaborare con un giornalista, Nick, che le insegnerà tanto.
Tra difficoltà, recensioni di ristoranti e impegni con l'hotel, Darcy ha la possibilità di crescere caratterialmente, di capire di più su sé stessa e sulle persone che ha intorno, ma anche di capire come dovrebbe essere l'uomo giusto per lei.
Penso che questa storia sia bella.☺️ Devo dire che sono curiosa di vedere come si concluderà la sfida e che altre cose scopriranno le tre sorelle su loro stesse e sullo zio.🙈
Ammetto che, nonostante la storia in sé sia bella, ho faticato a sentirmene coinvolta e la lettura è risultata più lenta di quanto avrei voluto.😕
Se, però, avete apprezzato il primo libro, vi consiglio sicuramente di leggere questo libro.🥰

I love the storyline. Having to start my own life over once upon a time and find out who I am as a woman, I deeply appreciate books where women face tough times and emerge stranger, better versions of themselves, regardless of what those hard times are. However, there are character flaws that were irritating with the 3 sisters. The oldest sister, Sheena, speaks to everyone - sisters, friends, business partners children, and even her husband - like she's writing a formal business email. While I get she is supposed to be the oldest and wisest and had to grow up quickly, I think this is a little over done and she comes off as pedantic and patronizing. The younger sisters worry about guys they like being players (Regan) or not being sincerely interested in them (Darcy) but they go on dates one after another with different men, and each even go on a date with the same guy, which was very weird to me. The best part of this book was the live scene in the hotel with Austin and Darcy. It was perfectly described and I could feel in my own heart how meaningful the moment was for the characters.

In questo secondo volume della serie "Salty Key Inn ", le sorelle Sullivan accettano la sfida del defunto zio e si trasferiscono in Florida per attuare il piano di ricostruzione dell'Hotel. E' un libro di crescita personale , di cambiamenti radicali, di amore e di famiglia. In particolar modo è la storia di Darcy, che vuole realizzare il suo sogno più grande: diventare una scrittrice e viaggiare per il mondo. Una storia scorrevole scritta in modo semplice e descrittiva sia dal punto di vista del paesaggio sia dal punto di vista sentimentale. Ma per il mio gusto personale è un racconto piatto, senza colpi di scena e suspence quasi a rasentare la noia. Manca quel mordente che ti stimola a proseguire la lettura e scoprire qualcosa di esaltante nella pagina successiva. Ed inoltre troppi nomi difficili da ricordare; ho fatto spesso confusione. Ovviamente il mio giudizio è altamente soggettivo da non prendere come assoluto e oggettivo. Vi invito pertanto a leggere il romanzo se amate le saghe familiari e accompagnare i personaggi libro dopo libro a raggiungere le loro mete.

In questo volume ritornano le sorelle Sullivan, e con loro ritorna anche la sfida che ha lasciato lo zio Gavin prima di morire: rimettere in piedi il "Salty Key Inn".
Questo libro parla principalmente di Darcy Sullivan, ancora incerta su cosa fare nel suo futuro.
La sua passione per la scrittura la porterà ad incontrare il reporter Nick Howard, che la prenderà sotto la sua ala per lasciarle la sua rubrica settimanale.
Darcy si avvicinerà anche ad Austin. Inizialmente il loro rapporto avrà la forma di una amicizia, ma poi si trasformerà in qualcos'altro.
Questa storia è scritta molto bene, tanto che durante la lettura mi sono sentita coinvolta, anche se in certi momenti l'ho trovata un po' lenta.
I personaggi sono ben descritti in questa storia di famiglia, amicizia e amore.

Loved the second book in the Salty Key Inn series and am anxiously waiting for book 3 to find out if the sisters, Darcy, Shenna and Regan are going to finally meet their Uncle Gavin's challenge of making the Salty Key Inn a success and keeping Gavin's people involved in the process. In this book the sisters press on with getting the Inn ready to open on Labor Day. They are to the point of doing a soft opening but will it be a success?? As the continue on this journey together working on the Inn, each of their own lives continue to grow in their side careers as a writer (Darcy), interior designer (Regan) and a mom (Shenna).
This is a great summer read and I can not say enough about this series created by Judy Keim.

Love books written around Florida beaches. 2nd in the Salty Key series. Three young ladies, inherited a dilapidated inn, on the beach, they must live together a year and re-model this inn, to inherit a large sum of money.. Sheena, the oldest has two children and a husband, she must leave them to accomplish this. Of course, she meets hostile feelings from her family, but teaches her children to respect others, work for what they want, etc. Darcy is foremost in this book, finding her love.
Such a great story, Judith, children these days need a strong, guiding hand. Very excited about this series, waiting patiently for the next book.

Darcy Sullivan and her 2 sisters inherit the Salty Key Inn from their uncle with the condition they have the rundown hotel up and running within a year. This book is about Darcy, who thought once the hotel was up and running she could take off and travel the world and write the worlds greatest novel. She meets Nick Howard and got a part-time job writing for the local paper. Nick took her under his wing and she later learned Nick was dying. She turns to Austin Blakely, whose grandmother is terminally ill to help her deal with her friend dying. This is the story of the journey of Darcy's life.

A wonderful story
I very much liked the way I could visualize the energy and teamwork while working to get the hotel opened. Good points about being sensible regarding expenses and determining priorities. I also very much enjoyed Darcy’s and Austin’s way to finding each other. The sisters’ were able to appreciate each other’s talents, as well as the workers they “inherited.” Emotions were beautifully written. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

I needed to her Darcy's perspective in being a writer. It touched me to my core and encouraged me to continue moving forward on the path before me. God created each of us with a unique combination of multiple talents to use to bring order, beauty, and benefit to others. The author does a fabulous job conveying such a message through the characters in this story. Such a simple book encouraged me in a very complex way.

Another amazing book!
As with the prior book in this series...it grabs you by the heart strings, keeps you in suspense and never disappoints. The Sullivan sisters series is enthralling from beginning to end. I for one will be anxiously awaiting the 3rd book of the series due out in early 2018.... Thank you Judith for another amazing book.

Finding My Way by Judith Keim is the second book in the Salty Key Inn Series. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first about the three Sullivan sisters, Sheena, Regan and Darcy. All three sisters are prominently featured but it is Darcy who finds her way in this one. Definitely a series you don’t want to miss.

The Salty Key Inn
I have read the first a books in this series and have enjoyed both books. I would have like further development of Gavin's friends in the upcoming books. A complete ending is not in either books, and their is little sex scenes, which I appreciated. All in all, a good easy read.

Wow! This is definitely a 4.5 at least! This book is what a GOOD beach read should be. This was well written, with interesting and fully developed characters. It had a number of subplots... Just like real life, and the author actually brought the storyline to a finish... Unlike the current fashion of leaving you hanging until the next season, whoops... Book in the series. Kudos to Ms Keim!

This is book 2 in the Salty Key Inn series about 3 sisters who inherit an old inn with several stipulations. Although there is a continuance to Sheena, her family, and Regan's stories, this one really is Darcy finding her way. It is a wonderful series, and I am grabbing book 3 now!

This is an awesome book. It's the sequel to Finding Me. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading about families coming together and anyone who likes the beach. I can't wait for the 3rd book in the series.

It was worth the wait for book 2, now got to wait till 2018 for the 3rd book. The sisters are getting the hotel ready to open, Darcy found her true love, Sheena family is in FL with her now they have relocated. As you read this series you start cheering for the sisters to succeed.
