Trust Me: A Bad Boy MC Romance

Rate this book
How did I go from a boring grad student to the wife of a notorious biker gang boss?

CANDACE OWENS
I’m the boring girlfriend of an obnoxious rich guy, my life is nothing but term papers, research, and deadlines. I had a troubled youth but that’s all behind me… and so is all the excitement in life.
Or so I thought.
Next thing I know, I’m catapulted into a colorful world of violence, extortion, sex— and motorcycles. And the one who ensnared me is none other than the Canis Grandis, the Big Wolf, Ty Franklin, the head honcho of one of the most infamous gangs in Philadelphia. He’s got beautiful gray eyes, a seldom-seen smile, and a body that’s giving me wet dreams. He’s got more blood on his hands than anyone can even guess.
And I’m falling in love with him.

TY FRANKLIN
I swore to myself I’d never love again after my last girlfriend died— because it was my fault. I threw myself into a life of crime and booze to escape my pain, until she came along.
She’s everything I’m innocent, kind, sweet, and to all appearances, she’s happy. We have nothing in common but the city we live in. But she’s with this boyfriend, he’s a real piece of work. I’ve made it my mission to rescue her, but how can I save her when I can’t save my Ma, can’t take care of my disabled brother, and I couldn’t even save Alice?
It’d probably better if I just stop seeing her, but every day I fall deeper for this girl… and I know it’s wrong, but I can’t help wanting her slim, sexy body.
And I can’t help wanting to kill her preppy, asshole boyfriend.

This book is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
Trust Me is a standalone, full-length novel of approximately 40,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed happily ever after. For your reading pleasure, I have also included a few bonus books.

Candace meets Ty at a biker bar where her then-idiot boyfriend Brad takes her to see about a vintage bike he is looking to purchase. He is rude and obnoxious to everyone and ends up in a fight. Taking pity on the small girl, Ty attempts to rescue her from the middle of the brawl. However, instead of allowing herself to be whisked away to safety, she fears for Brad's life and returns to rescue him from danger. Ever the gentleman (not!), he runs off with his tail tucked and drives off, leaving her there...stranded and alone. He hasn't been a prize boyfriend before this, either. He is verbally and physically abusive. He also constantly shreds her self-esteem with digging little comments. She is a sober recovering anorexic. He also does drugs around her. In the meanwhile, Th ends up taking her home like a stray kitten and cleaning her up. When she calls to check on Brad, he has twisted everything around and made his condition HER fault. Whoa, get me off of Brad. I understand Ty's desire to pummel the privileged pig. Fast forward to her helping out Ty and his brother Justin with a celebration for his mom's birthday. They end up getting close, as in really close. Fast forward some more and add in her awesome friend Nina to the mix...and you have some fireworks. Oh, I also forgot to mention Ty is dealing with a rival gang and a debt he owes, his old girlfriend's death, and his disabled brother,...let alone his family's finances. Wow! I need to just tell you to read it. Ty will find out what kind of man he is, Nina's friendship will show its true colors, Candy will make some life-altering decisions, Justin will blossom, and Brad will get his just rewards.

This book follows Candy and Ty.
Candy is a grad student who has turned her life around after being addicted to drink, drugs and having anorexia. Although the book does not go into detail about the issues of drugs, drink and anorexia it is mentioned with frequency. She is the girlfriend of a rich, arrogant, big headed jerk called Brad. He calls her horrible names, constantly reminding her about her weight and her having a relapse whilst smoking pot in front of her! I have no idea why she stuck with him?!?!
Ty is the leader of a MC Club and owes money to a rival gang. He tries to keep his affiliation away his family who don't know he is in a gang. He dosen't want to get in a relationship because he dosen't want them to get hurt when things go bad. Which they do.
I thought the story was ok, but I felt like something was missing.

Sigh... I finished it, because I had to know how it ended. And I love a happy ending and this story definitely has one, but the road there was difficult to read. There was just SO MUCH going on. Candace (the female lead) starts of in an abusive relationship and has such a sad sad past and the Ty (the male lead) is the head of some motorcycle gang and is struggling to care for his mom and disabled brother. Of course, under his swagger he's got a heart of gold and his own painful past and he's in trouble with a rival gang and it's just all so messy and SO MUCH. I don't know what else to say. I powered through the book but I didn't particularly enjoy it. There was so much drama with very little pay out. I was emotionally wrenching but not in a satisfying, cathartic type way. I give it 2 out of 5 stars (but only because I didn't DNF it).

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Candace is a recovering anorexic drug addict who has turned her life around and is attending college. She has a boyfriend, Brad, that is really not a good one. He is the son of a very rich man. He's a whiner and a weakling who makes himself feel bigger and stronger by abusing Candace, verbally and physically. When he takes her to a MC to buy a motorcycle, she tells him it's in a very bad part of town. He pays her no mind. While there, he speaks abusively about the members of the club and they beat him. Here is where she meets Ty, the leader of the MC. He takes her out the back of the club, but she goes back in to help Brad. She gets knocked out and Brad runs off and leaves her. How she and Ty and his family become close is a very good read. There are some very trying times for them. But they make it through. Good job, Cristal.

Not sure if I read the same book as some of the other reviewers but "Trust Me" I think I should have skipped this one. This MC book is not like any I have read before and I found Ty, the male lead extremely lacking. Ty is supposed to be this super bad dude who is the head of his local MC Club that is (you guessed it) in a turf war with another local MC Club. I really don't see where Ty found the time to fight or lead his crew since seems to be crying quite a bit. Candice, the female lead is a very shallow girl who had a drug and alcohol habit she overcame along with an eating disorder. She is being emotionally and physically abused by her boyfriend, Brad when Ty comes to the rescue. There is an HEA but (at least for me) it was a painful read to get to that ending.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Candace & Ty met one night when she and her boyfriend, Brad, walked into Ty's bar. Brad isn't too bright and mouths off to the drunken bikers and gets a brawl going. At one point, Brad runs away, abandoning Candace in the bar. Ty rescues her from an amorous drunk. There is a connection between them and in the days that follow, they begin to compare their past stories of shame, regret and guilt. Kept me enthralled as they began to fall in love. But too soon, a rival biker club attacks Ty's gang. Even jealous Brad has to interfere in their lives. It's an exciting story that makes an afternoon melt away in pleasure. This is my first book by Cristal Pierre and I was completely enraptured by her writing style. It's witty, charming and the story had me hooked from Chapter one. Fully developed and interesting characters added layers to the story that had me either loving or hating them, which I think was the Author's intent. I mean I'd like to throw Brad into a pit of vipers...just sayin'!

I enjoyed reading Candace and Ty's story- it was raw, real and completely heartwarming. I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt- but all in all, one sweet and sassy Bad Boy Romance!

Can two wounded souls from different backgrounds find love and a life together? Candace had finally overcome her troubled past and was now a boring grad student with a preppy boyfriend Brad who treats her like trash. Ty is a bar owner and member of a motor cycle gang with an abundance of family problems. Throw in guilt from not being able to save his dead girlfriend. Lots of drama, suspense, violence, eating disorders, drug addiction, poverty, disability and an array of problems to keep you page turning. A good motorcycle book. I received an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

This book keeps you coming back for more. Candy has gotten her life back together and is working to finish grad school, but her rich boyfriend just may be too much. He ends up blaming her for his problems including taking her to a MC to buy and motorcycle and leaving her there after starting a brawl. Ty, who is the leader of the MC, rescues Candy after her boyfriend abandons her. Could Ty be the wake up call that Candy needs to walk away from her rich boyfriend? If bad boy romances are your thing, this book is a must read!!

Trust Me is a straightforward romance with Candy and Ty learning to trust each other and their own feelings. Ty has lived a hard life and finds himself in quite a bit of trouble; Candace has a troubled past and deep insecurities. Together they help each other heal and find solutions as they find their HEA. The writing quality could have been better; hopefully the author's skill in character development and story line continuity will improve with future books. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Got for an honest review.

I liked the book. Hated Brad. Liked the characters Candace and Ty. Loved Justin, he added more to the book. Thought the story was well written. The characters had great chemistry. At times I wanted to sit Candace down and say hey leave Brad. So the author pulled me into their book and couldn't stop reading until I knew every little detail the author wanted me to know in the story.

Thank you for letting me read your story.

What a great story about addiction, being brave and strong enough to overcome. Candy thinks she loves Brad, but with all the negativity she is questioning just what they have. Ty is a leader, provider and struggles with his own demons. When a chance meeting brings Candy and Ty together, their sparks can't go unnoticed. Will it be worth it in the end or will the past be too much. Great story!

Trust Me (ARC) by Cristal Pierre: *** Unrealistic but oddly gripping
I loved the premise of the story line and message. The characters were likable, but many of their actions didn't feel in character. The story flow was choppy and unrealistic into the realm of fantasy but still, this story is worth reading. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

A very enjoyable MC read. Good storyline, well written and developed. Ty and Candace are great characters and I liked watching Candace's relationship grow not only with Ty, but also with his family. Deals with a lot of real life issues in a realistic manner.

"You don't wanna be close to me, Candy, I'm no good."

Candace and Ty meet when her rich boyfriend decides he wants a motorcycle. Ty has one to sell. That's all I'm giving up. You have to read it to get all the good juicy details. And how good they are. Loved the characters in this book. So much emotion packed into a shorter story! Awesome read! Enjoy!!!

Just Ok

3 stars for Th he was sweet and was good to his mother and brother who had CP. It didn't really have any good story to tell. The author tried to make it about a MC, but she kept calling this group a gang. And they never fit the name.
