Badd Brothers #4

Badd to the Bone

Rate this book
Brock Badd is everything except bad. He’s sexy, sweet, strong, and every other good thing I never thought I wanted in a man. I always thought I needed the real bad boys, the ones that screw you senseless and pull your hair and aren’t there to talk about it in the morning.

I’ve always been a one-night stand kind of girl, and sometimes I wouldn’t even stick around for a full night. Brock was supposed to be a one-night stand—that’s how it started out, at least. Only, what was supposed to be a fun one-time-only hookup with a hot local guy ended up with me discovering Brock’s potency six different ways by breakfast.

That was all it took. One night with Brock, and I was hooked. But hooked doesn’t mean ready for a relationship.

That’s what he wants. And deep down, I’m starting to fear that’s what I want too.

I’m just not sure I’m ready for it.

I mean, he’s the literal epitome of tall, dark, and handsome, plus he’s a pilot…with a six-pack and perfect hair and a smile to melt me from the inside out. How’s a girl supposed to resist that? I couldn’t. I can’t. I’ve tried, but I keep going back for more.

I’ve got it bad, real BADD.

*** 3.5 Stars!!! ***

This is the third instalment of the Badd Brother series, and it wasn’t my favourite. My dislike of the book was caused by the heroine ( Claire) and her super duper high walls that she built around her to keep everyone out. Now I understand why they were there, and truthfully she was justified in how she felt... I just hated it for Brock though! He was such a sweetheart and I wanted him to be treated better!!!

This series though is getting so much better as it goes on! I love the Badd brothers! I love their loyalty to one another and to the women they fall in love with! This third story has the most angst in it so far. It was very deep and emotional in certain scenes. It’s not all about sex, although there is a great deal of it; but it’s all sizzling hot!!! Claire likes kink! She has a hard time opening up to Brock to tell him though!!! This isn’t an easy journey for Claire; but what will happen when and if she lets her walls come tumbling down?

I highly recommend this series for lovers of romance series that feature several brothers falling in love with the women who catch their attention! These stories pack a punch and will stay with you for some time!

I'm a Badd Brother fan girl to the bone...

I was so excited about Brock and Claire's book, since we saw a little of them at the previous book. and plus Brock was a pilot so...yeah bonus!

description

My other reason to read this book was the Badd family and the bond they had and the jokes they made and the teasing and the support they had for each other, stuff like that.

description

The book was good enough and I enjoyed all the above and the majority of it were sex scenes, they were as often as "hello" or "I need a drink" or "I'm hungry" so as you can guess a lot of sex was happening during this book. Amazing sex though rough, steamy, hard, kinky, spanking, biting that have panting, wet, melting, the good stuff you know...

Now as much as I enjoyed all that and some, I'm not so sure I liked Claire a lot. She bothered me quite often I might add. She was a bitch with Brock and basically everyone who was worried about her and tried to help. I understand she went through a lot and had some traumatic experience and her parents did marked her for life but...
Why do you push away the people that love you and care for you???? Yes its hard to accept that indeed someone actually love you and want a future with you but WTH GIRL??? Get it together!

There were a few times I wanted to slap her and help her out, so she can put Brock out of his misery... Because she made him miserable and I wanted him to make her grovel...But he was a gentleman so here goes my hope...

Brock was great as all Badd Brothers. He was sweet, strong, passionate about Claire and ready to help and love her. He had his own demons to deal with but he was still there ready to take away her pain and make her happy...

Overall a nice reading. I was glad in the end Claire went after Brock and they figured things out. Loved it when they all got together and had fun.

Can't wait for Bax's book! I was intrigued with the epilogue.

Good Girl Gone Badd is next in the Badd series...

Here's the thing... the issues I had with Mara in the last book (Badd Ass), I didn't have with Claire. Go freaking figure!

Both women knew they were sluts.
Both women felt they had reasons for being sluts.
But only one of them (ahem... Claire) actually sold me on it.

If a man sleeps with everything that walks, he's a slut. Same goes for women. So it's not like I'm sitting here saying one without calling the other out. I think it's gross from all sides. However, I felt like I could understand Claire better than I could Mara. Claire knew she lacked self-respect. She felt so poorly about herself that she willingly settled for anything. She was punishing herself, which was sad because I could see the good person she was. She didn't need to be so hard on herself (and really, she just needed professional help) and Brock was the perfect guy to show her how different life with intimacy and value could be.

I loved how the author made it clear that Claire needed to work on herself. That she needed to learn to love herself, forgive herself, before she could try to love someone else. I also loved how devoted they were to each other, both before and during their separation.

My heart went out to these characters and I felt that Claire's journey was difficult, with her happily ever after both hard-won and much-deserved.

Problematic

This is going to be spoilery so you've been warned.... Good? Ok. I have, up until now enjoyed this series. My issue was Claire. Not that she was promiscuous or liked things a bit rough, but that she used it as a weapon. And eventually felt bad about herself because of her behavior. It's okay to like sex. It's okay to like it with various people. But she was just mean to Brock a lot. I get that she had problems in her home life, but screaming at her dad like she did, being an out and out brat to anyone who tried to help her? Nah. And Brock just took it all and kept coming back for more. I got through to 74% and couldn't keep going. Hopefully the next one is better.

5* Read
The Badd Brothers are back and better than before. Don't believe me? Read it and see for yourself. Jasinda Wilder gives another epic story of heart, heart, and healing.

Brock and Claire are introduced in Badd Ass where their relationship is wickedly sexy and explosive. However, it wasn't supposed to last. Their chemistry is supposed to be just sex. Fun, hot, and with an expiration date. But it's too good and neither can let the other go. That's just the icing of this story.

Badd To The Bone is so much more than sexy times, although there is a plenty. Brock is all alpha in true Badd form, but his relationship with Claire is so much more, so complex. A story in which the characters have to seek deep within themselves before they can move forward.

How much did I love this story? I read this book in one sitting. I love the Badd brothers, all of them. They've come a long way from when Badd Motherf*cker started. You will love them and welcome into your world like many of us.

Take a trip to Alaska.. get your Badd boy on!

I really didn't care for the female MC in this book. Yes, her father wasn't nice or caring to her growing up. What he did to her on her 20th birthday and disowning her was messed up. But her sense of complete and total denial of her feelings drowning them in sex and alcohol to the point of being obnoxious.
I've enjoyed the other 2 Badd Brothers books and would have this one too if Claire wouldn't have been so damn annoying. Here's hoping the 4th is as enjoyable as the 1st 2.

Let me first start out by saying that this one compared to the first two books was not good. At all.

I mean don't get me wrong. The smut was good. The story line was there. There was the scenes to prepare you for the next brothers story. But Claire, Brock's love interest, was god fucking awful. She was annoying. Purely fucking annoying. I'm all for a bad ass female MC. And while, yes, that is exactly what Claire was, independent and strong willed, she was also the exact opposite at the same time.

Claire is the best friend of Mara who was Zane's love interest in the second book. Claire meets Brock while on a cruise stop in Brock's hometown of Ketchikan, Alaska. And naturally they hit it off. Their story actually started in Zane and Mara's book. At the start of this book they've already been dating for somewhere around four months. But neither of them really does relationships or love. However, that's exactly what they feel for one another but they both keep it inside.

Claire deals with some fucked up shit throughout this book. She had an awful childhood which in reality has caused her to be the way she is. Which is a sex fiend. She is obsessed with rough, kinky, degrading sex. And it's always supposed to be a hit it and quit it kinda thing until she gets with Brock. The things she's dealt with absolutely give her reason to act the way she does in this book. HOWEVER! She takes it to the absolute extreme. She even MULTIPLE TIMES admits to herself that she shouldn't be acting the way she is but continues to do it anyways. She just acted like a child in this book too many times and for far too long for me to have any type of love for her.

And that being said, it makes me sad. Because I was SUPER fucking inerested in Brock's story. I mean he's a freaking airplane stunt pilot for crying out loud. That is bad fucking ass! But did I get any of that? No! This is supposed to be a story about these Badd brothers finding their women, their lovers. And while yes, Brock found Claire, this book just seemed to be all about Claire. And I didn't like it one bit. Actually, while writing this review I've decided to down my rate from 3 stars to two stars. Because I seriously disliked Claire that much.

If I didn't have to read about Claire ever again while continuing this series that'd be lovely. However, I know I'll see her stupid ass in passing. -.-

On to the next! :D

Gosh, the Badd brothers are my favourite sexy bunch of mchottie bros, hands down.

First and foremost, this book is fuck hot. Seriously.
And as hot as it is, there's such a deep story there, I could barely cope with what they were both going through.

From the second book we already knew that Mara's bestie, Claire is hooking up with Brock. And four months is a very long time of kind of commitment when she's used to hide behind sex and not getting attached emotionally. Then there's a situation with her enstranged father and she learns some secrets about her childhood. You'd think that after so long getting some answers would be freeing, but that's just not how life works. I felt sorry for Claire for what she had to go through and understood her ways much better after that, but damn, did I feel bad for Brock. No matter how much he wanted to just be there for Claire, there are things one has to come terms with on her own. And Brock's own secret through me for a loop too.
It was a whirlwind, a painful one, but I enjoyed every moment.

Not my favourite of the series - I think that's still the first one -, but loved it anyway!

Oh man I got it bad. (No pun intended 😂)

Claire is an ex army medic, turned computer nerd ( best friend is Mara from book 2)

She starts seeing Brock, the pretty boy pilot, and gorgeous man hunk!

However, Claire got so many issues, and the book really sheds light over it. It's an angsty read. Not like the other books, but it still had the same humour and unique writing style as the previous books.

We also see a lot more person development in this book than the others.

I loved it! As always, and the little chapter at the end with Bax! Swoon! Makes me really have a love / hate relationship with Jasinda Wilder for making me wait until August!!

Will I recommend?: YES. A big fat yes!! They are funny, great characters, interesting storylines and I really feel the need to go to Alaska after this!

With how the last book ended I knew this one was going to be interesting. I was intrigued to see how the confrontation would go once Claire went home. I have to say it was full of fireworks. Something went about how I thought, others surprised me very much. I was glad that Claire got answers and let her parents know just how much they screwed her up, but the best was that through it all Brock was there for Claire. I honestly thought things would be all good from here, sadly that was not the case. Claire was a a bit more screwed up in the after math than it seemed. While it sucked some of the things that Claire did, it was the best thing for her in the long run. I did like how Brock let her know he still loved and supported her, even as it was a hard choice to make. It made the ending a very sweet one.

4 So Good to be Badd CROWNS

I absolutely love the Badd brothers. I cannot recall a family with so much charisma. All of them are completely unique, and yet they all have this charm and sex appeal and are, honest to God, good men. I honestly wish they existed in real life.

Badd to the Bone, specifically, follows Brock and Claire as they struggle with some heavy family drama right from the get-go. Claire is dealing with the tumultuous and dysfunctional relationship with her family, specifically her dad. Now, Claire is a very complex and destructive character; however, readers will fully understand her self-destructive nature as details about her past are revealed. Readers are also going to like her honesty. She never tries to hide who she is, and she is very vocal about her eventual obliteration of relationships that matter to her. Jasinda Wilder, though allows the reader the really see how she heals, and not at the hands of the hero, but of her own volition and determination, which makes her a pretty awesome heroine. Brock, does help her a great deal in the novel, though. He is completely supportive, understanding, and loving, and he is constantly trying to give her what she needs, even when it destroys him in the process. True to the Badd brother nature, this man is exceptional, physically and emotionally. He also phenomenal in the bedroom, but there is a sensitive part to him that is discussed in the novel, and readers will enjoy this side of a hero being exposed in a romance novel.

Throughout the book, these two are put through the ringer. The story almost immediately starts by throwing them into a pretty high stress situation. Her candor about who she is and what she desires, at least outside of the bedroom, sets up the conflict of the story, and the revelations throughout the course of the book, of course, blow their world up. The road back to reconciliation is long and arduous, but ultimately rewarding for both. The one aspect of the story that I wish would have been resolved a tiny bit more is the conversation of their sexual needs in the bedroom. It is discussed frequently, but I would have liked a more clear answer as to how that whole situation is resolved between them or for Claire. It will not ruin the story for you, it was just a question that left this particular reader wondering.

At the end of Badd to the Bone, Jasinda Wilder has set up the next book, releasing in August, and I cannot wait!!! That one chapter has me so excited to get my hands on the next Badd brother, while being able to revisit all of my favorites!

Badd to the Bone is a sexy, angst filled romance with a sensitive and supportive hero and damaged but lovable heroine. Readers of the series will enjoy the next installment, and, if you are new to the series, this is a great place to start, as they are standalones. Either way, the Badd brothers are definitely a family who should be sitting on your eReader.

If you have read Badd Ass you may remember meeting Brock and Claire. Brock is yet another gorgeous Badd brother, seriously the Alaskan gods were smiling down on the parents of these guys when they were born. Claire is best friends with Mara, knocked up partner of Zane Badd and has extended her visit to Ketchikan because she is enjoying some seriously sexy times with Brock. One night stands are her usual MO but there is something about Brock that keeps her coming back for more.

Brock is probably the quietest and most sensitive of the Badd brothers. He hasn’t been in a relationship for a very long time after a tragedy that really left its mark on him. However, what he has with Claire is nothing like he expected, he is having feelings for her that seem to pale in significance to anything else he has had before. The only problem is that she has very rigid walls up, she lets him in a little but never as far as he wants to go.

‘She blew my mind on a regular basis, she constantly surprised me, and she never ceased to amaze me. She always kept me on my toes. But she also had walls a mile high and a mile thick, and sometimes I felt like I’d never really find my way through them.’

Brock knows what it is like to live with regrets so he is trying to help Claire face her past and confront her family about what happened to her when she was young. Life is for the living and she has the opportunity to release the built up anger and frustrations before it eats her up inside. Claire gathers strength from knowing that Brock is by her side and won’t let her fall. This also scares her.

‘Because you don’t forgive people for them, but for yourself. You can’t move on with your life until you do. You’ll always hang on to the hurt, the anger, the pain.’

The sex between them is ridiculously hot, they have huge sexual appetites and like to spend days in bed rolling between the sheets exploring each others bodies. I was in a perpetual state of horniness reading every sex scene and eagerly anticipating what was to come…

‘And the sex…? It’s hot. It’s wild. It’s adventurous. It’s nonstop. We fuck standing up, we fuck against the walls and in the shower and on the floor and on our hands and knees, we 69, we finger each other’s assholes, she sucks me off when I least expect it and I eat her out until she’s quivery from too many orgasms.’

If you think that was hot, it was just a glimpse at what these two get up to…

Brock doesn’t know the real Claire and the secrets that she is ashamed of. Claire believes that when he does he will run as far as he can in the other direction. She is damaged and broken, not the sort of girl you can build your dreams on. He is better off with someone else and if he can’t see it for himself she will make the decision for them both.

Claire underestimates how stubborn and loyal the Badd men are, especially Brock. When that man makes his mind up about something, nothing will stop him from seeing it through, hold onto your knickers Claire, Brock is coming for you…..

"I knew he was in love. And so was I. I hated it. I didn't want it. But I couldn't and wouldn't give him up."

Ba-ba-ba-ba-bad!
Badd to the Bone!!
Had to;)

Lawdy mercy!!
Brock and Claire had such amazing chemistry!
We only got a small glimpe of them in Badd Ass, so I was very excited to hear their story.

Jasinda did as she always does and created magic on pages!

"What do you want, Claire?"
"Don't stop, Brock, please."
"Then tell me what you want."
"Why?"
"I wamt to know."
"Why do you want to know?"
"Because I want this to be more than just a good f**king, Claire. I want this to be real. And if you never tell me what you really want, then it can't ever be real."

There was so much depth to this book, especially when it came to Claire and her story.
She was somewhat of a mystery, and when it all was revealed, you felt every painful memory she held within.

The way that Brock evolved with her was really beautiful to watch, but also heartbreaking.
The path to true love never did run smooth, you know?

"I don't know how to be your fantasy."
"It's easy-you just have to be you."
"What if it's not that easy."
"Then we will figure it out together."

I fell so hard in love with this couple!
I honestly couldn't get enough.

These Badd brothers just keep getting better!

Brock and Claire have a whirlwind romance that they never saw coming, and yet, they couldn't give up.
Soooo good!

I'm so stoked for the next book!!
I'm loving being Badd!!

"You scare me, Brock."
"How? Why?"
"Because you have so much power over me. I'm the actual dictionary definition of an independent woman, but you-you...you own me, Brock."
"I don't want to own you, I just want to be with you."

I'm confused.
I flove sexually experienced females, have no problem with them having casual sex and never judge them. But this one was a bit too much even for me. I get that she had hard time as child and her parents were cruel, but it wasn't nice and human when she shouted at her dying father. It was over my hard limit. And her behavior afterwards wasn't appropriate, IMO of course.

The woman had no boundaries. Somehow it was cool, but at the same time she sold herself as easy kinky w****e. I loathe this word, but it fitted.
I didn't like that she told the man who loved her disgusting stories from her past. To s*** off 4 guys and let them come on your face doesn't scream female empowerment to me.

Even the hero said that some things she wanted him to do to her were degrading. I agree.

The hero was amazing. I even thought shortly that she spoiled him with all the kink. The guy was hot in sack, perfect mix, IMO of course. And after her I doubt he would be happy to perform kinkfree.

Nevertheless I don't judge.
It's cool to have books with different heroines.

Unnecessary drama and separation toward the end. Both were celibate. HNF.

Looking forward to the next book 😎

First let me just say, I can't believe I haven't read any of Jasinda's other books (only read Big Girls Do It Running). She is a fantastic romance author! I really can’t wait to read more in this series, as well as go back to some of her past books as well! I plan to go back to begin the Badd Brothers series now to see where it all began! The writing was seamless and I was so surprised at the story between Claire and Brock.

Being new to the series, this book just jumps right into the middle of their relationship. They have been dating a few months, and that is main reason #1 I want to go back to the beginning of this series, because I want more of them and am hoping to find it in the first 2 books. Their relationship is strange and different at first. Claire is a very strong personality and Brock seems very laid back and kinda goes with the flow. She is a very sexual person and is looking for more out of their relationship and things start to slowly change as the book progresses. Their chemistry is something I just haven’t read or seen before in romance novels, and that is one of the big things that pulled me into their story from the beginning. Its very much unique.

He pushes her on a very emotional level through a few tragic things during this book, and I was just so impressed by his strength. He stands by her side even when some would have fled. When she pushes back, he doesn’t let her and encourages her to do the things she fears most and come out a better person on the other side of it. Her whole mind set about the world and herself, is something he strives to change. He wants her to realize she is a person worth loving and capable of forgiveness. I simply loved their story! Every word was captivating.

First let me say with every new BADD brother I fall in love more than the one before! Second, being from Michigan, I LOVED the Michigan scenes in this book, especially because the locations are literally from my area of town so I could literally picture the scenes as I was reading!
Now, Brock and Claire... where to start.... Brock is swoon worthy on a different level from what i've come to expect of a BADD brother, he didn't seem as ALPHA MALE, yet he was too... it's almost hard to put into words and I think it's because Claire is such a strong female lead, at least when it comes to the bedroom. Regardless, their chemistry is hott as can be and the scenes are on point!
Claire, this girl, gosh she has so much going on internally and so many walls built.....poor Brock!...
I cried for her, for them, for him..... trying to let someone in after a lifetime of not .... her struggles were real and gosh did they come through them pages.... but Claire faced alot in this book and overcame a lot-- she's a strong woman!
This book gave me so many feels...a Rollercoaster ride worth... but in the end all was right in the world of BADD .....and the teaser for book 4 left me excited to get my greedy little hands ready!!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

I am so in love with all the Badd Brothers. I don't think I could choose a favorite. Although if I had to, Brock would be up there fight right along side Zane and Bast. Ha, see I can't choose. It's impossible and I don't see that changing especially when we get Bax's, the twins' or Xavier's stories. It. Will. Be. Impossible!
Jasinda Wilder has created a brilliant series of stories that I have yet to come across anything of the like. They each have a uniqueness to them but blend well with in the whole series and ties it all together.
Brock and Claire's story was a bit more emotional than I had expected. (Yes, tissues are recommended to have on hand.) This installment has a more serious tone to it but at the same time keeps with the overall tone of the series. The things that they deal with, Claire especially, was absolutely heart-wrenching. Jasinda balances it out with the humor I've come to expect, swoon-worthy moments and all those scorching scenes that will leave you in a puddle.
I'm so looking forward to Bax's story. That epilogue was such a damn tease. Can we just fast-forward to August 4th please?

So this one was not NEARLY as good as the first. I haven't read the 2nd yet though (I decided to read them out of order). I really liked Brock and his character but I for some reason couldn't stand Claire. She was annoying, don't get my wrong I felt bad for her but I just didn't like her. I really couldn't explain why. I feel like she needed to grow up a little more, but I guess maybe I just can't understand because she went thru some shit I couldn't imagine so that's why I don't connect with her. So overall not a bad story just couldn't get into Claire's character.

A good, solid addition to the Badd Brothers series full of that signature Wilder sass. The story delivers steamy moments and emotional depth, with characters who feel raw and real. It’s got the grit, the romance, and the edge you’d expect, wrapped in a plot that keeps you hooked. If you’re already invested in the Badd family chaos, this one won’t disappoint.

Step up to the plate Brock Badd!

We started Brock's story at the end the last book, he had hooked up with Claire and was flying back and forth to Seattle to see her. This story focuses a more on Claire as a character, she has some issues that she needs to deal with before she can truly let Brock love her.

As much as I can sense where this series is going (each brother finding love) I am still loving it. Each romance is different and unique, just as each brother is. I know that I can devour one of these books within a day or two. This book is passionate and seriously sexy. A hot read that I can't wait to read more of.

Oh, Brock, you swoony, sexy, sweet, hunk of book-boyfriend awesomeness. *sigh*
Great book, even when I was frustrated, because Claire was a realistically flawed character and I hurt for her as much as I wanted to strangle her.
It's always wonderful catching up with the other Badd boys, too 😉

This was angstier than the previous books in this series. Not that that bothered me, since I like some angst LOL But I'm just throwing that tidbit of info out for you :)

Why was this angstier, you ask? Well, Claire has a lot of baggage. Like A LOT, a lot. And it makes her do stupid stuff like push people away, especially people like hottie, Brock Badd, who is sweet and kind and patient and loving. I wanted Brock for myself LOL He's been my favorite brother so far...sweet and able to be alpha/dominating if he has too ;)

I have to admit, I was a bit shocked at the epilogue. I knew from reading the previous stories that you meet the next couple, but it surprised me, and disappointed me a little, that Brock and Claire were not in it at all. I know we'll see more of them in the rest of the books, but I wish there had been a little more closure for their story.

*thanks to the author and Next Step PR for sharing a copy of this with me*

Where to begin???

Seriously Author Jasinda Wilder has blown my cherries to bits in yet another amazingly written book in this series.

Brock Badd had my heart soaring into new heights!

I'm ready & will fly & land wherever Brock is.

Instantly I fell hard for Brock's handsomely sexy, alpha but total sweetheart of a man who now has some competition with the other Badd Brothers.

Claire is one catch that Brock is willing to reel in and never let go.

Can Claire let Brock all the way in and not just sexually?

Their chemistry is beyond the horizon hot.  When you think there can't get any hotter, they do and believe me you will be needing to dive into an ice cold pool to cool off.

You will laugh, cry, and damn this story totally hit me hard because I could relate to some of Claire's storyline with her family.  I felt her pain right along with Brock.

There is plenty of sex, emotional moments, and of course plenty of other Badd brothers thrown into the mix to keep you totally in a Badd Beefy sandwich.

Find out if Claire will be able to soar to her highest limit with Brock when she thinks she can't go any higher.

A Must One click to add to your Badd Brothers collection!

I am ready for the next Brother!

I was bored with this one. I almost DNFed it, but I hung in there. I clearly don't mind sex in my stories, but this one just seemed like too much. I wanted more story. I wanted the story to get to the point. I get that Claire had issues and what happened when she was much younger was horrifying and obviously changed her life, but sheesh. Brock was so incredibly patient with her. I guess that's love. Eventually things worked out, but I just didn't dig this story so much. The epilogue was actually a sneak peek into the next one which looks like it might be interesting, so I haven't given up on the series. Just didn't enjoy this one.

I really wish I could give this book more stars! I loved the first two, am loving the fourth so far, but this one just didnt do it for me. I love all the Badd brothers and no exception with Brock. He is definitely a hottie with his description and personality. The one that ruined it for me was Claire. She just seemed bitchy, conceited, self-centered and so much more. I am glad about getting some help for her emotional issues because she def needed it. I hope she turns around for me when she is present in the upcoming books.

this wasn't a Badd story... this is a Claire story, and I don't like her... at all.
hopefully the next one I'll enjoy more.
