Such a cute book!
I got sucked into this book from the beginning and I loved every part of it. This is a really sweet, funny, well-written new adult romance. It’s great for summer reads.
Anabel is young student, au pair working in the USA and she is lost in this world. She wants to find herself. William is professional football player, gentleman and Mr. Handsome. I love Anabel and William, especially because they're not a typical couple but they are a perfect match. William is one of the characters that you just can't forget. He is perfect book boyfriend. <3 They have their ups and downs, they are lost in themselves. I like this Tinkerbell nickname. :)
I loved this book so much. Everything about it was perfect: the characters, the story and the ending... I really enjoyed it and would recommend to all. And look at this amazing cover! I couldn’t wish for more perfect ending. I love happy endings. What a great start to a series! I can't wait for the next. Anna did a great job…

Today, I'm writing about Lost & Found, a debut new adult novel, and the number one in New York Knights series by Croatian indie author Anna B.Doe.
Anna created a story about growing up and maturing, about the struggles and questions that all of us who lived a college life could relate to, sooner or later. Who am I? What am I? What do I want to be? Who will I disappoint? Is it all worth it? What do we do after everything we thought we wanted changes? After we lost? Who will help us find our way?
And then again, this is the story of taking risks. The step into the unknown. So it gets more complicated. The love is born. Yet again, all the plans, everything changes.
I'm Anna's character. You are too. All of us who changed during the time when we were supposed to know what we were doing, we're all Anabel.
This warm, beautiful love story between two young people who weren't happy with the way they lived, will make you question the power of true love.
After reading the review, I'm sure you still have many questions about both the novel and the author herself, so I'm happy to be bringing you the exclusive interview with Anna B.Doe here: http://kljuczaknjigu.blogspot.hr/2017...
The book has a potential but... OMG Anabel went on my nerves with stubbornness.. The narration style as well as the writing is perfect but side characters are more interesing than main ones. Can't wait to read Sienna and J.D.'s story!
I've got this book an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This story right here is a story I would wish for myself, but unfortunately I don't believe in miracles and hope so much.
William and Anabel were perfect! Their story was funny, happy, heartbreaking, gut twisting but overall so beautiful!
When I started reading this book I could already see myself in Anabel's shoes with it all. Being an au pair (which I'm hoping to become next year), to find a friend, taking care of kids and being in a family that accepts her to bumping into a hot guy. A lot of times I had to stop reading because I was jealous and envy of her, but that's my dumbass, haha. Otherwise I could understand every decision she made. To be honest it was wisely made. She doesn't have a lot of time in the States so why "bother" having a relationship with someone when in the end it will end?
This story taught me that even if you leave and want to discover who you are as a person, you will, but don't think it's gonna be all positive and rainbow. I don't mean this in a bad way, quite opposite! I'm never myself and am afraid of showing who I really am and I kind of can't wait to get away from my home and discover and find out who I am...but as Bel later said: People will expect the same girl that left to return with no change. They will expect you to have amazing memories and no change in personality. Which as many know is not happening like ever. I'm scared of doing the first step, but after Bel's story I need it! Even if I won't have her experience, I'm willing to sacrifice a part of myself to find myself.
I can't wait to read and finish Forever, but I think I need a little "envy/jealous" break from William & Anabel.
Blurb: I don’t know what I want to do with my life. The only thing I am sure of is that this is not what I imagined my life to be. So, instead of staying and trying to figure out what is wrong, I choose to run away. I choose the unknown. I choose the adventure. My name is Anabel Majer, and I’m lost.
I have it all—well, almost all: family, health, money, fame, career, women, you name it. The only thing I am missing is a Super Bowl ring—or so I thought until the night everything changed. One night, a small Tinkerbell collided with my life, and I am gone. My name is William Price, and I found her.
She is everything he wanted. He is everything she needed to stay away from. What happens if at the end of the journey you lose more than you find?
“I’m working here Anabel,” he says with a goofy grin on his face. “It’s nice to see you again. Looks like destiny has something special planned for us.”
Will and Anabel pulled me into their orbit from the very first few pages. They had a long road ahead of them, with Anabel being afraid to fall in love with Will, knowing that after her year in the US was up, that she had to leave. But Will being Will, he gave her no choice. He was just so sweet and persistent, that there was just no chance in hell Anabel could survive that year without falling in love with him.
William Price confuses me. He makes me question my sanity. He makes me think about things I didn’t think much about before meeting him. He makes me open up, makes me see the girl that is somewhere inside me, and I wasn’t even aware of that up until now. He is—just as I remember confessing last night—dangerous for me. For my heart. For my very soul.
I feel for this story and these characters so freaking fast, and I do mean all characters, not just Will and Anabel. The whole bunch of them was amazing, and having read all 3 books in the series, I damn well am gonna miss them. So yeah, it's obvious I recommend this series. Lost & Found is a slow burn sports/college romance that you'll love. Give these characters a chance because they're worth it.
“Are we just friends Anabel?” I murmur softly. “I told you before, but I guess I’ll have to repeat myself: I want you Anabel, not just as a friend, but as a woman, and I’ll have you. You can run as long and as far as you’d like, but I’ll find you. That’s a promise.”

An Au Pair girl and a Football Star! I love unlikely romances so I was happy to give this one a go.
Anabel is somewhat lost and drifting after school so she agrees to a new opportunity to leave home and travel to America for a job. Will Price is a star athlete and determined to help his team win the Superbowl. He's all in and ready to try for romance when he meets Anabel, but unfortunately, she's skittish and confused so he has his work cut out for him.
Lost & Found is told first person so I had the opportunity to be caught up in both Bel's and Will's head. Gonna be honest here, Anabel tired me out. She was hot & cold, angsty beyond need and I wanted to give her a swift kick in the butt to just knock it off with the attitude. I honestly couldn't see what had her so off-putting with Will. I get that there was an expiration date since she had to go back home to Croatia eventually, but seriously, she liked him and wanted to be with him so why act like Croatia is Pluto or that there's no communication out to America?
But, the redeeming side of the story is Will for me. He's got the hot athlete things in spades, but he's not a jerk and is well grounded when it comes to his celebrity. He wants a real thing and he sees that in Bel even when she's being frosty or sending mixed signals. I was really cheering him on to get his happiness.
The pair of them had some sizzle for sure. I liked that the author made Anabel a Croatian as a nice change and I enjoyed the cast of characters surrounding Bel and Will especially Sienna.
So, while Anabel drove me nuts until she finally decided to try with Will, I thought this a moderately engaging, sweet, and passionate romance that I can recommend to New Adult and sports romance fans in particular.
My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader copy of this book.
This was a cute sports romance. Anabel was an au pair from Croatia when she met hot quarterback William. She didn't even know who he was. The minute William ran into her he knew he wanted her.
William didn't stop at nothing in trying to win her over. Anabel was worn down and eventually stop fighting her attraction. He was all alpha and hot and she was good. They had a misunderstanding and a moment that will break your heart but their ending was nice.
The secondary characters were just as good; not bad.
"This couple will go down as one of my favorite books, and favorite couple." - Cait's Creatures
His eyes devour me and at that moment time doesn’t exist for us. Right at the moment where the old year ends and new begins, I lose myself again. I lose myself in him. I’m not fighting it. At that moment when the time is changing and his lips claim mine, I let my guard down. I surrender to him. People are kissing and congratulating one to another, confetti is flying around us, and there is firework outside, but to me, it’s all background noise. All I can think about, all I can feel is him. William. His strong arms are holding me close to his muscular chest, his solid lips are pressed against mine, his tongue exploring my mouth, claiming me. At that moment the world doesn’t exist for us. We are stuck in between yesterday and today. We are lost in time. Lost in one another.
Anabel has moved to the US as an au pair, she needed to get away from her home country and is basically feeling lost and not sure what to do with her life.
Will is a star quarterback and at the top of his game, he can pretty much have any girl he wants but when he sets eyes on Ana he instantly wants her.
Ana plays hot and cold with Will but he sticks with it trying to win her over. He is a brilliant hero to this story whereas Ana it was kind of a love/hate for me.
I really enjoyed reading Lost and Found by Anna B. Doe. The drama was so different than other romance novels that I have come across. The complexity was intense. I was always wondering what Anabel was thinking when she did her best to push William away.
We can get from the Blurb that Anabel is lost in this world. She is from a different country and travels to the US to regroup if that is what you want to call it. She was stuck at the moment of her life and decided to venture off. Little did she know that she was in for a rocky ride. Her life seems to be turned upside down by a hot professional football player. With that being said, you would think this would be part of the Sports Romance genre. There is definitely romance going on, but in Lost and Found, the sports aspect of the book does not overwhelm it. I actually forgot about the football part until I wrote it in this review.
William is the most kindness and caring "jock" that you will meet. He can have any woman of his choice, but his heart stayed with Bel from the moment he first saw her. The anxiety I got when he worked like h$ll to catch Bel. She would just slip right pass him. I love his loyalty and his attitude that is down right sexy.
There are other characters that play a huge part of this story. You can hear them screaming at you that they need to be heard. So I can not wait for the second book in this series to come out. The angst and the hope I have for these characters was so surreal. Lost and Found is a book that is one-click worthy!
Will she won't she, if you like a book with lots of chase, then this one is for you. Anabel and Will go back and forth hot to cold. and at times you wish you could shake Anabel, I get it being in a foreign country and working has to be hard for her but, Will is so amazingly paicent.
A wonderful story about how you lose yourself to find yourself. Anabel Majer moved to a foreign country leaving her home and putting college on hold. Ms. Doe did a great job taking you on the journey with Bel where she found love and friendship while finding herself. William Price was the jock without the attitude. He was dedicated to his football career but felt deeply. One bump into a stranger and bam! I loved the story, but something about the main characters was off to me. Maybe it was Bel trying to distance herself so she did seem distant and William trying so hard to accomplish his goals that I couldn’t feel the chemistry. Even though I felt like they were missing something, I had to know how their story would end. The secondary characters were developed just enough for you to want more. I mean, what is really going on with Sienna and JD? A quick read for those who want the happily after. This one has caught my attention and I look forward to seeing how the future story lines develop and grow.
Anabel & William meet at this bar, Ana doesn’t know nor really care who he is and William takes that opportunity. This is SLOOWWWW, I’m talking slow fucking burn. I had to continually stop reading because the characters really pissed me off but the kind of annoyance where you know and feel the tension between them 🥺😭
Anabel doesn’t mean to lead him on but with her inexperience with the states and men👀👀
This was a fluffy and cute read with there different backgrounds and lifestyle. She’s Croatian, He’s American, She’s on a work visa as a au pair/nanny, He’s a famous football player
🏈 sports romance 💜slow burn 🏈au pair/nanny 💜american football
I know what I’m getting into when I read Anna B Doe, I’ve been a fan and reader of hers since the Blairwood series and when I want a little bit of spice and a WHOLE LOT OF TENSION. I know to read one of her books. The love and emotions you feel she puts into her characters are SWOOONN WORTHY. I love it!
This story was a slow burn and man did it make me burn. Anabel and William were honestly the perfect couple and yet they put me to the test! William was all in, Anabel was guarding her heart. I enjoyed this book. I don't think I've ever read anything like it and I loved the characters and their chemistry. Not just the chemistry between Anabel and William, but Anabel and Sienna and her host family. I enjoyed the side characters and I look forward to reading Sienna's and J.D.'s story because I know there's going to be angst and I'm all here for that! I'm also excited to see how Anabel and William's relationship play out in Forever! Normally you see the couple get together, but don't get to see what happens after. They're going to be put to the test and I'm excited to see how things play out!
The book is a nice story between William and Anabel. No complaints in terms of that. However, I have a specific pet peeve in books and it’s how children’s dialogue is written. Ivy is five. Five. Somehow she is mature enough to correctly use words like “famous” and “autograph.” It makes me wonder how much time authors spend with kids. It’s not that a little girl wouldn’t necessarily know famous, but the use of the word and connecting it to requesting an autograph on her shirt if he can’t come home with her is a stretch. For that, make the character older or adjust the phrasing a little. I know it’s a dumb literary pet peeve but it’s mine nonetheless.
I really loved reading this one. It has a different kind of story-line. Will is a football player and Anabel is au pair working in the US. Anabel is sweet and nice. Will is sweet and patient with Anabel. They have an instant connection but their romance is a slow burn one. Anabel is a game changer for Will. At points I was a little frustrated with them. Anabel is hot and cold but Will still tries to catch her. I really liked some of the side characters too. Sienna is super nice and I can't wait to read her story.
This books had many things that I go for in a book. I love a good romance, especially when it involves sports, and especially football. The characters fell for each other, but it wasn't inst-love (I'm generally not a fan of that). William was such a perfect example of what I look for in stories, as well. I liked Annabel a lot, although she was wishy-washy at times too (but such is the prerogative of women!).
This book was well-written and quite enjoyable. I'm glad I had the opportunity to read it!
This story is one that could have been any one of us. The feeling of not belonging to any place or time. Money and fame is not always the answer, I was on the edge of my seat in this romantic-drama. Anabel and William's story is one of those love story that keep you wishing for a series 😎or a second book. It is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story without the dying plot. I am happy to add this to my book shelf to read again. Dreamers this is a another winner!!!!
I loved the whole story, I was even for team William and aching when ever he was dismissed by Anabel. And when they finally made it together...just loved it. I love sport romances and William Price is at first a tipycal jock, tall, sexy, muscles, tatoos. But when she run into him his world is all about her. And his nerves are made from steel ❤.
I love how the whole storyline has been portrayed. The story makes sure you stay on the edge of your seat. Such a gripping, nail biting read that will leave you wanting to turn those pages till you have devoured the entire book. It will definitely leave you wanting to one click all of this authors books. I'm going to be keeping my eye on this one for sure. I hope you all love the book as much as I did. Good read
William and Anabel’s story made me believe in the old saying “love will conquer all”. They had so many hurdles to tackle and the path that they were on helped them to find each other.
4 Stars Review by Lisa Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
Lost and Found is the first book in the New York Knights series by Anna B. Doe and it is amazing!!! With a title like Lost and Found you know, we are going to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster.
Anna B. Does does not disappoint. This story touches on so many emotional levels that it encompasses all the feels. Post collegiate life, moving away from family, making new friends and a new job are all intertwined in this novel. What is even better is that it’s not a one-sided story!! We get both points of view and all the feels coming from both main characters.
A well-written romance that had me zipping right through the pages. The chemistry between all the characters is off the charts.
Anabel, having just finished one phase of her schooling, decides to take an Au Pair job in America. Not knowing anyone or anything much of American culture or sports, life becomes a little more then what she thought. She simply wants to take a break, make some money and then go home and finish her schooling. But once chance night out with her boss's sister has her path crossing William’s.
William is beyond frustrated, just wanting to win a Super Bowl ring is eating him alive. So a night out with the guys has him crossing paths with nonother than Anabel. And with a second chance encounter, he is doomed. She is stuck in his head and he can't shake her.
The push and pull is so strong. Anabel's supreme stubbornness makes this story come alive.
What I loved about Ms. Doe's writing is that we also start to get glimpses of the next story through book 1. and I can't wait for Sienna and J. D.'s story!!

This is the story of Anabel Majer, a young student from Croatia who can’t decide what she wants from her life. So her best friend decides for her and her bags are packed and she is on her way to the United States. Taking a job as an au pair and meets and befriends a beautiful model Sienna who is the sister of her boss Lisa. Sienna likes partying and takes Anabel where she first meets the sexy quarterback William Price, and there is an instant attraction there but Anabel feels that she is only going to be in the states for a short time and can the relationship they are starting survive and can they have an happily ever after. This was a really good story of trying to get through this big new world and the friendships and love that she finds along the way. Can’t wait to see what happens next in Anna B Doe’s next book “Until” in the New York Knights series.
I liked the story and their carachters, however, I do think that Anabel exagerated quite a bit. It's not like Croatia is that far away and especially since William is a famous, rich athlete, there should be no problems in them seeing each other again. There are many long distance relationships happening in the world.
All congrats for writing a book in your second language, altough I do think there is where I had a slight problem with, namely, the sex scenes and the sex talk 'rock-hard cock' stuff and putting to many curse word where they just shouldn't be. They just spoiled the vibe of the story for me, I don't think they belong where the author put them.
Overall a nice summer read, with a few details to alter.
Aw Lost and Found is such a sweet story and I really enjoyed it!
I adored both characters a lot; Anabel is so sweet and caring but fiery, and William is so swoony and such a momma's boy, and I love it! They are so cute together and it's a super slow burn between them. Definitely so worth the wait though!
Anabel and William always have this pull towards each other and ooh the literal sparks are flying with those two! And their love is so beautiful!
Anabel ‘Ana’ Majer is feeling lost after recently graduated. But when an opportunity rises in the forms of a job as au pair in The States, she accepts and travels from her small home town of Zagreb, Croatia in hopes of finding herself while there in New York. What she doesn’t expect (whilst there) is to get swept off her feet by the handsome stranger Will. But knowing her time there is limited how can she allow it? Or will it be too late?
William ‘Will’ Josh PriceNew York Knights quarterback has it all, except the one thing he really wants a Super Bowl Ring. Or least that’s what he thought until he meets Ana aka Tink, the nanny who stole his breath at first sight. But with all the mixed signals she keeps throwing his way, how can he get her to see they are meant to be? Not knowing he has limited to do so.
I don’t know why it took me so long to read this book, especially considering how much I truly enjoyed it. But I guess better late than never. Once again Anna B. Doe came through with another book, this being the story of Ana and Will inLost & Foundthe first within theNew York Knightsseries. It is truly a beautiful and heartwarming story of two people who are not only complete opposites, but are on opposite journeys too, only to find love when they least expected. It honestly tugged on my heart strings watching Will and Ana journey throughout the story. Not only with finding themselves and trying to achieve what they want. But at the same time, figuring out how to juggle it all. Considering they are both falling for each other. But not knowing how to handle it. Something we definitely see mostly in Ana's case, since she seems to think it can't happen, since her life in The States is temporary. And even with deciding to be friends is better off, that too is hard as well for her, since the feelings she has for Will are so much more and seem to grow continuously throughout. As for Will, he knew from the get go what he felt for Ana. You could see he went from 0-100 in a snap of fingers with his feelings for Ana and wanting to be together, but had a hard time getting her to commit. The journey they travel though a super slow burn, it showed and proved to them what they felt was real and could be something more. And with absence making the heart grow fonder, there definitely could be something real between them if they gave in.
This book had all the feels, since the helpless romantic in me couldn’t help but sigh and swoon at every other page. The way Will was with and around Ana, it just had me feeling all lovey dove-y. Given that the emotions and feelings surrounding them both just seemed to pour right off the page. Making you fall in love with them both, mostly Will! At the same time there was so much angst and that from Ana alone, considering the constant hot and cold vibes and the push and pull she did of Will. It definitely frustrated me to no end at times. Given her attitude towards Will, despite everything he did or said to prove himself to her about how he truly felt. It was like what more did she want from him to prove it is worth taking a chance. It made her seem selfish since it seemed like she was only thinking about herself and her own feelings. As opposed to taking Will's feelings into consideration too. Instead doubting his feelings based on his past and life without truly getting to know him before passing those judgements. And not actually seeing just how hard Will was falling for her, with always going out of his way to try and spend time with her. Even if it meant as friends only.
With that said, I did enjoy Lost & Found. Anna definitely came through with the first part to Ana and Will’s journey. Safe to say I cannot wait to get started onForeverto see how their journey will end in theNew York Knightsseries.

5 SWEET stars! There is a hot football player and a sweet innocent heroine inside. This is a must read!
Me, like everybody in the reading community, love discovering new authors. This is the first time I read something from Anna and I am glad I have the opportunity to read her work. It was worthy of every minute I spend reading her book.
Lost and Found is the first installment of the New York Knights Series. I enjoy everything about it. The plot is well developed. Each page was a fabulous pleasure. I couldn't put it down. There were times that I wanted to throw my e-reader because of Anabel and William's stubbornness.
This book have all the elements I love. It mixes pretty well the Sport Romance and Friends to Lovers genres. Give me a hot football player and I am in. Give me a good love story and I am in.
“I should stay away from William Price. That was the plan! He is a temptation, and I can’t allow myself to veer off the way.”
Anna gifted us a hot football player and a sweet innocent heroine. They are a perfect match.
“William is like chocolate. Once you start eating it, you crave it more and more until you become addicted.”
William is the definition of an alpha. He is cocky, possessive and sweet. William Prince is temptation wrapped in a sinful body and powerful soul. He is focused on his career. Football is his life and winning the Super Bowl is his big dream. He is so passionate and dedicated nevertheless his world will be turned upside down because of a cute Tinkerbell.
“I’m not a patient man. I take what I want, simple as that.”
Anabel is a good girl, hardworking and intelligent but she is missing something. She is not conformist. She wants something bigger than staying locked up without discovering the world. She craves it. Taking a job in the States will be a big opportunity to explore a new culture. She wasn't expecting to find a deep connection with a man. She hasn't been interested in that until she met Will. She knows he is dangerous. She knows he can break her heart. William Prince is her kryptonite and she should stay away from him.
“He marked me. William Price marked me so deeply and ruined me for everybody else.”
William Prince and Anabel Majer are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is explosive and deliciously forbidden. The push and pull game they play was fierce. I enjoyed eagerly the way they interact together.
I highly recommend this book. It is carefully writing and I need more of William and Anabel's story. This book is a must read. Anna left me wanting more. She is a talented writer. This is the first book she writes in English language and she did a great work. I can't wait to read the following books in the series.
Anabel Majer wants to experience life outside of her country. She wants adventure she excitement, wanting to leave Zadar, Croatia. After getting her degree in English she decides she is going to New York City, USA. By the fall she is in New York working as Nanny. She seems to really love her job, she loves the family she is with. She befriends Sienna (who is the sister of the women she works for). Sienna seems to pull Anabel out of her closed shell.
Sienna is a model, the aunt to the children that Anabel takes care of. Sienna is a take no bull shit type of women, works hard and plays harder. I like this chick! Not pretentious or self centered. This girl is very sincere and loving and kind.
William Price is a football quarterback he could have any woman he wants, but he doesn’t want just any woman. He wants something special. He is ready to find love.
Anabel does not want to get involved in a relationship as she knows it can’t be anything but temporary, not wanting to develop feelings for anyone when her stay in the States is brief. Then she bumps into William, and there is that electrical zing she felt between them. Intrigued by the man she bumped into wanting to meet him again her and Sienna head to the bar. All the while knowing she wasn't going to let anyone get close.
William can’t get the girl that bumped into him off his mind, then she is at the bar. And so begins the chase with William trying to get in Anabel’s life.
William gave chase to Anabel, and she truly gave him a run for his money! She just didn’t to get hurt or hurt anyone. Will she let him in? Does she finally admit to her feelings? She is a stubborn character this Anabel!
