Being a single mother as well as a drug and alcohol counsellor had taken up much of my life. I forgot who I was, what I wanted, and how to put myself first. But then I walked into a tattoo shop and my world was flipped upside down with just one smirk. This tattooed bad boy likes to dabble on the edge. And while I'm incredibly drawn to him, I don't know if I'm daring enough to play. Living life was becoming a struggle. I had the submissive I was supposed to need. I had the job I had always wanted. I lived the life most envied. But there was still something lacking, and I didn't know what that was until she walked into my shop and caught my attention. She's unlike any of the other girls in my circle, and the complete opposite to me. But there's something about her that fascinates me. I never knew how spicy vanilla cupcakes could be.

MS. VANILLA CUPCAKE MEETS MR. EDGE-PLAY MASTER

What an adventure and a great addition to the Mysterious Masters of Club Vice series. Well, the old saying of opposites attract could never be truer than Sadie Jameson and Adam Chapman. Two people, two completely polar opposite lifestyles, but an attraction. It isn’t just a good girl going for the bad boy syndrome; there is a chemistry and an attraction in the mix.

Sadie Jameson, divorcee, mother of a six-year-old boy, and with the most unique friendly relationship between her ex-husband, Tyler, and his wife, Amanda. They attend functions together, joint custody of Tommy, and even still have family get-togethers for holidays and dinners. The break up was mutual, the love was missing, and they share a son together. Sadie is a drug and alcohol counselor, having a practice, and also working crisis. She is a clean-cut, all-American girl.

Adam Chapman runs a tattoo shop, works crazy Vegas hours, is covered in tattoos and body piercings. He is also a Master at Club Vice and craves edge-play. Adam has been with a live-in submissive, Storm, for three years, but she wants more, permanence, and he knows he can’t give it to her. As far as submissives, she has been ideal, enjoying the edge-play, exhibitions, and in that way they mesh, but he knows she isn’t his future, and they must cut ties. (This is not because of Sadie.)

The plot will have Adam and Sadie meet when she comes into his shop with a friend who is getting a tattoo. Their eyes meet, and he is humored by her innocence as he teases her. What a shock when she comes into the shop at 10:00 at night in the middle of the week requesting a nose piercing. They carry on a double-entendre banter. The relationship includes months of conversations and dating without any sex involved. They take the time to get to know each other and discuss things that affect both of their lives. Sadie is honest about her time playing with cutting when she was younger, “I needed the rush of adrenaline, the thrill of dancing with the devil and winning.” She talks about how she works with people who are trying to overcome their addictions to drugs and alcohol. Adam shares his need for control and how he craves edge-playing.

Just like in any relationship, honesty is vital, and for this relationship to work, it will require full honesty and trust. “Eventually, I will give you all of me, trust included,” she said. “People like me have a different set of guidelines. Edge playing sounds exciting to thrill seekers, but there are serious risks that need to be considered. RACK, or risk-aware, consensual kink.” “Adam gave me; a sense of security and stability. I wasn’t supposed to take risks. He was everything that could destroy me. Somehow, I trusted him more than myself.” “He was the darkness to my stars. The reckless to my tranquility. The relapse to my sobriety. Every contradiction in the world could explain how a divorced-mother-addiction-counseling-safety-concerned-woman could fall in love with a bachelor-love-fearing-tattoo-artist-edge-playing-master.”

Adam is living the life he always thought he wanted. A job he loves, a club he is a part of, and a live in girlfriend who is the perfect submissive. All seems right until Sadie walks into his tattoo parlor and his life will change forever. Sadie is the opposite of Adam. She is a single mom with a six year old, she is part of an extended family with her son, her ex husband, and his new wife, and counsels people with addictions. How will a vanilla good girl mix with a dominant who lives outside the normal traditional lifestyle? Come read and see if opposites can not only attract but blend their lives together.

I recommend this wonderful story that shows a couple building a relationship and exploring to see if they can be compatible in the long run. The author included some of the harder aspects of BDSM with breath play and knife play along with the rest of the lifestyle, and the realities of addiction. However, the author also included love, fun, and family which gave the book a balanced fun read. As always, another great book by B J Wane. This is my first book by this author but I was seriously in love with her writing by the end of the book. So much so, I figured I’ll need to definitely buy the first book in the series and more by Ms Taylor. I totally fell in love with Adam.

Adam has a sub who’s looking for marriage, but he’s just not wanting to marry, nor can he see himself married to her. They eventually break up. Adam is a tattoo artist and he’s also a dom. But, he’s a dom who’s into much edgier play than most. He’s into breath play, knives, needles, blood play and guns. All of that would scare off most women, even most subs. Then he meets Sadie. A very vanilla woman who has a son and is divorced but friends with her ex and his pregnant wife. After they get to know each other, she friend zones him. 3 months later, he tells her who he is, what he needs. Sadie decides to date Adam and start out in kink slow. Will she try it or won’t she?

I really loved how this relationship played out. Adam is totally hot! Being a tattooed, pierced, tall. Dark and sexy god that he is, I want him too!

First this can be read as a stand alone. In fact I read this book and then decided to get the 1st in the series. This is a great story that has emotional characters that seem total opposites in lifestyle ( BDSM Master and a vanilla woman) as well as professions that seem incongruous. They begin being friends and eventually lovers who negotiate and compromise to finally mesh their lives and lifestyle to form a deep and trusting loving rel;relationship. Of course there is also lots of hot erotic scenes to keep one entertained and "hot". I highly recommend you read this book and try Book one as well.

I found that the pace of this story was different to most similar books in that the relationship moved slower & there was less initial reliance on the physical side. For a meeting of 2 people of different sexual experiences I really appreciated the time taken for the relationship build. This means that there was less sex in the first part of the book but more emphasis on communication between the couple, without it being boring or slow. While it's book 2 in a series I haven't read book 1 but that didn't impact my enjoyment at all. Worth the read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Adam's story. Master Adam is a tattoo artist and has a live in girlfriend when he meets Sadie. She is vanilla and a "good girl". She is nothing like Storm and suddenly he has to reevaluate his relationship. If you are squeamish about knives and other sharp objects or breath control, read it anyway and appreciate the dominance and control in this story. Appreciate the romance and love. Appreciate stepping out of your boundaries to find a part of you that you didn't know existed.

This was a slow developing story- but in a good way- (think melted chocolate being poured or drizzled). And speaking of chocolate, that's what this book was really about- the bad boy- "chocolate"-loving Dom who can't keep his mind off of the good girl- his "vanilla cupcake." This book is not only hot but it seems real. There aren't any bad guys or really many highs or lows, just a well written story of two people finding their love story. This was a long detailed tale of a vanilla drug addiction therapist and a BDSM Master tattoo artist who happen to meet and fall in love.

As Adam guides Sadie through his world, and Sadie shares her world with Adam, they find a love and peace with each other that neither knew they wanted or desired.

Each journey is intriguing for different reasons.

I really loved this story, the way it described how a man who is completely into the BDSM scene falls in love with a vanilla girl and makes the relationship fit. They met in the middle and over a long period of time go from friendship to love. learning to co-exist without giving up their core values and needs. The book explains a lot about the BDSM lifestyle and it is also a gentle and kind love story. I think it is brilliant.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review. This is a book written in the first person, giving the reader an insight into both characters thoughts, feelings and emotions. While I don’t usually enjoy books written in the first person, this one was well written and kept me interested. The dialogue and characters were very real and honest and felt like they could be someone you’d run into on the street. An enjoyable read!

I’ve read this book twice now and I will definitely be reading it over and over. I really loved just everything about this. The way they met and became friends. The instant connection but the long friendship before becoming more. It just felt so natural and I fell in love with both Adam and Sadie. I couldn’t get enough of them. This whole series is one of my favorites.

Good

Not my usual cup of tea but everyone needs a change. I really enjoyed the flow between Sadie and Adam.

This book was definitely erotica but it was very well written! I know that sounds crazy but I think this author could write any type of book. I gave it 4 stars for the quality of the story!
