It has been a while since I have read the books so it took me a little to remember what was happening. John, Mark’s cousin, died on a ship from the comet that hit the ocean. Judd and Vicki were fighting the whole book until the end. Most of them got fake IDs and changed their looks. They meet new people. Z and his dad that helped them with their new looks. Z also told them about an abandoned school building that they had. All of the kids are there now. Vicki got Phoenix, the dog, and Charlie, the slow boy. And they are at the school with them. But the two girls from GC just walked in with a gun pointed at the group. But they don’t look so good.

John is back and he makes the choice to board a new GC ship called "The Peacemaker 1." Though he reluctantly gets on and helps the Navy out a man tells him a meteor is coming and it's one of the Judgements of God. The YTF who are wanted with the GC are changing their identities because they are being figured out. They watch the news as they see the comet. They read the bible and get to the scripture about the 2nd judgement. 1/3 of the ships on the sea will be destroyed, 1/3 of humanity will be gone, 1/3 of the sea will be gone as well. They tell the public the Earth will be split in 2 and no one has a good chance of survival. Nicolae gets on the web and tell them that they can't send the comet away. John tries as much as he can to help people to see Jesus Christ. They say its supposed to hit the Atlantic Ocean and cause server weather. John told them on a boat without the captain neglecting them and then the comet. As the comet hit the Earth. The believers on the boat pray and ask God for mercy then the sea turned over and there John and everyone else on the earth died. The GC Planes monitor the comet. Then, Mark read the final message from John. He addresses the world with stopping the meetings and all travel will cease. Mr. Stein finally talks to Dr. Ben-Judah is one of the 144,000 evangelists and he is one of the 12,000 from his tribe. They finally also reconnect with Chloe Steele-Williams and she talks to the kids about Buck. Then, Pete helps them get facial changes and change their identities. He tells them it will happen straight away in the morning. As they talk to Zeke Jr. The one helping change their identities, Vicki and Zeke reconnects on things she wishes could happen. Vicki plans on going after to find Phoenix. Vicki and Judd argue over leadership and decision making in the group. Vicki parts ways with the YTF for a limited time to go get Phoenix. Vicki, Darrion, and Conrad go past the remains of New Hope VIllage Church. They go to the nearest shelter and find Melinda and Felicia. Vicki's Team figures out that everyone who had dealings with them or worked with the GC is dying. They make a heist to steal phoenix. Then, after they speeded away Vicki reveals herself to Charlie.
Judd's Team tries to prevent Taylor from doing something. Judd talks to them about how Nicolae and Tsion's meeting is faulty. They lose power when watching the meeting with the witnesses. Then, an unexpected new report came on that another comet from Heaven is coming down and its wormwood. Wormwood is poisonous to the water supply and it will smite 1/3 of it. As all of them come together as the whole YTF they are caught by the only surviving GC Morale Monitors.
