It's TEAM RODIMUS versus a universe gone wrong! An alternate Cybertron is being torn apart as the malevolent Functionist Council implement a plan that's been millions of years in the making. But with victory within their reach, they find themselves up against someone who really shouldn't MEGATRON.
Oh merciful joy- a comic that can make me feel young again. Fuck Neutrogena; this is the real age defying source of energy right here! I'm constantly swept in a sea of "oh my gush what's gunna happen next?" as I read these. The characters are simply so tight and real. Rodimus is funnier than Deadpool. Megatron is such a great character to be conflicted. What the heck is up with Lug in this issue though? That's kinda crazy.
It's still those little human flourishes that melt me. Seeing Tailgate hold Cyclonus's arm in such a small panel as they say hi to each other? I'm just gonna be real with you- I put my comic down when that moment happened. I put it down cause my heart legit felt waaaay too much. I got teary eyed. "They just love each other so much" I squealed. Fuck, I've been in love before. And watching these two interact makes me feel like I did it all completely wrong.
Not much happens in this issue. Mostly just talking, to move all the pieces into place for the plot. Also, Megatron grapples with his conscience. Because... Did you know he's a good guy now?
Also, we get some more unwanted PDA between Chromedome and Rewind. Come on guys, get a room already! You're both still on the job, saving the universe. And that is really unprofessional behavior for the workplace.
