To the world he was a beast but for her he would do anything He could have the world but all he wanted was her They say the things we want most are the things we can't have For she was so afraid of him that even the thought of him could have her running for the hills Little did she know that she was the only one who didn't have to be afraid of him
Found this thrilling story on Wattpad and was very impressed with author, palepinkferriswheel!.
This is Xavier Night and his angel, Raine's story! What a journey and their connection was unique! She feared him but fell in love with him! He sees her one day and it love at first sight.
Xavier is called 'the beast' by most in the small town but no one really knows how he got to be wealthy or beasty for that matter. Some things are gossip but he admits he is a beast, a monster! Three years later after watching and waiting in the background, they meet and the connection is sealed.
When she really discovers that she loves Xavier she goes to his house and she witnesses just why he is called the beast and... well read this fantastic read!
I loved the secondary characters as well - Jay, Sophie, Maggie Cyrus, James, and even Cole grew on me!
I hope that Cole gets his story completely told like Xavier Night!
This was recommended to me on Wattpad and listen. I love Wattpad, but this was rough. A bit creepy and the plot made pretty much no sense most of the time. It left me so confused.
So if anyone has some good Wattpad recommendations, let me know.
Cutest Wattpad story I’ve ever read. Not enemies to lovers this time. More of a bad boy x innocent sweetheart. Loved it. Nice quick read to get me out of a reading slump
My favourite and most memorable read that I just can't help going back to. The love I have for the characters is indescribable. Xavier and Raine and the most wholesome characters. The love between them, how he feels for her all of it is just so perfect it almost (no...definitely) makes me tear up.
Xavier will always make it that my already ridiculously high standards will forever be unattainable, unless he quite literally jumps out of this story 💖
Mainly for the cute little scenes between Xavier and Raine once they know each other. I'm a sucker for books where he's obsessed with her and she's all innocent-it's super cute.
However, there is a warning here. There's not too much common sense as for when they meet, how they meet, and everything that comes with Raine experiencing problems in her life. Like he definitelyyyyy carries the creep factor by watching her and even worse, this girl moves in with him at a time when she doesn't even know him yet. So many things I had to overlook in order to enjoy the book but it wasn't logical or even correct.
Now, why I still keep coming back to this book is mainly because of the nostalgia. I read it at a time where it served as the distraction I needed in my young mind so I think I always go back to it and just read the parts I love.
I did take a star off for the creepy parts that are not acceptable for me lol and the climax too, I'm used to it now but I don't always read it fully.
I absolutely loved this book all the main characters in this book were amazing I loved learning more about them. Totally fell in love with Xavier cuz he is just too good like carries and cooks for her too good. Definitely one of my favorite books due to the beautiful relationship and amazing characters.
people who stutter in books when they are nervous <<<< (don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with people who stutter. It just doesn’t fit in a book because it interrupts the reading flow, you know what i mean??)
The best book ever! I could reread it all the time. It simply gives me all the vibes. It started my entire love for romance books. I wish I could go back in time just to witness that scene at the end again and be able to bawl my eyes out.
November 23rd, 2024 Still a bop even tho this time I had enough brain power to know that sometimes there was plot holes . Did I care no would I read it again yes. I would do anything for Xavier night forever and always. Love him with all my heart
“I loved him for the child that lay within the huge intimidating infamous Xavier Night, the boy who liked to cook. Who got excited at chocolate cake, and the man who loved me with every part of him.”
I didn’t understand the plot most of the time and the characters were quite confusing. I don’t think the story quite accomplished, what it wanted, but it had potential.
