A string of terrorist bombings rocks America’s capital. Congressional aide Ben Wiles interrupts a murder in a grimy Washington alley. A mysterious, unstoppable computer virus upends the race for the White House, and the government unleashes an artificially intelligent surveillance technology in response to the chaos. But this system has power beyond anyone’s nightmares, and Wiles finds himself on the run from a nameless conspiracy whose players are always one step ahead. If he can’t find them and bring them down, the White House, the country, and the whole world will discover just how deep secrets can run.

DEEPER SECRETS by Bowen Greenwood the 4th in the Secret Series. A bouncer, a hug, a warning, as he pulled the guy up from the floor. Patroling the edges of the Neon Nightclub, keeping eye out for trouble. Is how Ben balanced his checkbook. Something slammed the back door, he finally gets it open, never knew fear, till looking at the barrel, a dead body in the alley. He lost a bet once before and it cost him his freedom. His face was seen, he couldn't loose it all, and he didn't prevent the dead guy. Colleen consultant on the campaign for president, he's sure someone is hacking into the system. Alyssa, trying to help an outside, senator Mike Vincent as president. What's the connection between the players, the terrorist bombs, congressional virus. Can Ben find, if not the secrets around the capital and the world will be known. A gripping story, that seems so true, the plot flows, characters seem real, as though you know them. Question then is, will it be stopped. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Bowen must have researched for a long time to get the amount of information needed to write this book and keep it in perspective. AI can be useful and scary at the same time as this book clearly points out to the reader. --another clean, political thriller with surprising outcome.
Bombings in the nations capital, a fight to purchase new software for anti terrorist work the may be too much invasion of privacy for the population, an upcoming presidential race twp old friends finding themselves on opposite sides of the presidential race and an company that is working on artificial intelligence, oh and a few murders thrown in. 3/5 and readable.
