This is one great box set. All the wonderful action all in one set and all at one time. I highly recommend to all paranormal lovers.
Bear In The Rough: This is a great start to Ariana Hawkes new series the Broken Hill Bears. In book1 Xander has returned to the clan after being called home by his father ending his serve in the military. His father his called him home to become the new Alpha. Which intern causes strife with his older brother. Will they get over their issues? Freya and her friends are on a hike. Each with a different reason to succeed. Fate brings them all together along the trail.
Will Xander and Freya learn to understand and except each other? This was a must read at 5 stars.
Bear KnuckleBear: This is the second book in the series and really grabbed my interest. Braxton is up to be Xander's second in command. After a fight he and Xander have a meeting with the heads of the human fight organizers. Neve has a crush on Braxton and offers them some free legal advice. Someone is trying to ruin the Broken Hill Bears. Who would want to do that? Braxton must overcome his dislike for humans and work with Neve. Will he be able to do that? Can Neve be persuaded to help them after the way he acted? Will they learn each others secrets? Will he save Neve from her ex? This story has a little of everything in it. It has mistrust, fighting, betrayal, bad guys and trust. I enjoyed this story and give it 5 stars.
Bear Cuffs: This is a great second chance story. It contains romance gone wrong in the past coming back around. What is the mystery behind the ending of a young love.
Rocco is informed by his alpha brother that he is to marry. Needless to say Rocco is unhappy and even more so when he finds out to who. How can he marry his first love after he spurned her.
Harper is not happy either to the match. She hates Rocco after what he did to her. Will she say yes or no? If she decides to go along with the mating what happens.
I really enjoyed this different story and give it 5 stars. It is a must read. I received this free copy for an honest review.

Bear in the Rough Book 1:
Such a great book.
Xander who was son of the Broken Hill Bears had been away in the military. He felt the bear shifters needed to know more about the human race and how better to do that then to live among them as human.
Maximus who was Xander’s older brother really had some issues. Through this book you wonder about the scars and what brought Maximus to the state of mind he was at. Maximus hate humans and as older son he felt it was his right to be Alpha one day.
Freya wanted to go backpacking in the wilderness on this very long trail. Her two best friends wanted to go but in truth her friends were not mental or physical prepared to hand such a long backpacking trip. Freya wanted to see where her grandmother had backpacked long ago. She wanted to find peace and hope that this trip will fill a hole that was deep inside her from her father leaving years ago.
One rule the shifter community had was that human could not see shifters shift. I found this rule funny since the humans knew about shifters. They had wrestling matches between the Broken Hill Bears and the Black Paw Ridge Bears. I can imagine that was some fight to see. This fighting match is were Freya got to see Xander the great for the first time. There was a attraction and a pull between these two.
There was something that some shifters had done that put Freya and her friends in danger. They shifted in front of Freya and her friends. What are these shifters to do, oh I know kidnap the girls. Yip and Xander was so angry. You will see Maximus trying to play the situation to his advantage through out the book. Xander will have some important decisions to make when it comes to his clan, his brother, and Freya and her friends. He has a huge responsibility on his shoulders and it does not help that the clan wants him to take a mate.
Things will get hot and steamy between Freya and Xander. This will confuse Freya for she does not want to have feelings for the one that is holding her captive. Xander wonders if Freya is strong enough to be his mate and this is a inward war going on with him.

We were first introduced to the Broken Hill Bears clan in book one. I am sure if you read book one you fell in love with Freya and Xander as much as I did. Well this book is about another Broken Hill Bear member called Braxton and a sweet lawyer by the name of Neve.
Braxton had some serious issues going on, he hated humans. His hatred for humans was genuine. It had to do with his past and once you read and learn about his past you will understand him more. There was something strange going on at the fighting matches. Seemed like there were no fans in sight. Everyone was yelling hatred remarks, holding up anti Broken Hill Bear sights, and much more. It was almost like an angry protest which was very distracting to Broken Hill Bears.
I just loved Neve. She was this strong amazing woman. Though you might not think so looking at her. She had found herself not finding a job in a law firm as she hoped and with a loser boyfriend that had not even had sex with her for 2 years. She actually looked forward to the moments that her boyfriend was not home.
Neve wanted to help with the problem that the Broken Hill Bears were going through. She had idolized each and every member in the Broken Hill Bear Clan, especially Braxton. I know she had to be disappointed to find out how hateful Braxton really was. She never dreamed that he would hold so much hatred toward humans like he did.
Braxton is fighting with the fact that Neve is his mate. His mate can not be human. right? Now here he is having to ask for her help in hopes he can keep his bear from claiming her. He will find his protective nature kick in at the sign of danger. When pushed against the wall Braxton will have to face the truth. Only problem is, did he wait to late?
Bear Cuff Book 3:
What a great story. I have loved this series. This book is a standalone so do not worry if you have not read any of the previous books. I don’t know about you but I love the Broken Hill Bears.
Rocca Silvester has lived with a secret for a very long time. I can not imagine all the pain he has been through. He had hurt Harper Waverly and knowing he had caused her that pain was almost to much for him to bare. He has lived with his pain so long.
I can not imagine what Rocca was feeling to be told by his older brother that he needed to mate with another clans female to help his clan out. The Broken Hill Clan had been having some problems with the Black Paw clan. Then to find out that female would be Harper. There had to be so many emotions going through him.
Harper had heart ripped into. She remember everything Rocca had done and the pain he had caused her and now here her parents were asking her to mate with him for the sake of the clan. Yeah she had to be having a lot of emotions going through her as well.
Harper is a very feisty female and one not to forgive so easily. I loved reading about Rocca doing what ever he had to do to win her love. Rocca and Harper will face some challenges along the way but it is like fate is finally bringing these two together.
This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

I love these big, hot fighting stars from the Broken Hill Clan. I loved the complexity yet acceptance of the interaction between shifter and humans. Knowing, but ignoring what they were seeing within the ring because of course it is a given that humans love to see agression and that's exactly what they get when the Broken Hill Bears and the Black Paw Ridge Bears fight.

Freya has all her life felt a whole in her heart after her father abandoned her and her mother. She believes in the friendship of her 2 buddies and herself, no one else.. She won't even have a relationship afraid that she will be abandoned again, she never thought it possible until she meets Xander. But will she believe and allow herself the luxury of happiness for once in her life? Xander comes back home after 5 years in the military among humans. He isn't in his fathers presence a whole day when all of a sudden he finds himself the new Alpha of his clan, a title that should have gone to his older brother Maximus. Now he must contend with not only unhappy clan members, but his brother as well. He is at a loss as to what he must do, but then he gets wise advise from a very unlikely source and his life changes.

Rocco always the bad boy and the youngest to ever fight as an adult is thrown off his game after being knocked out in the ring because of treachery from members of his clan. He takes off hoping to lick his wounds away from the clan and now he is back and ready to take on his responsibilties in the clan. When his alpha tells him he needs him to take a mate from a neighboring clan in order to save his clan, he is dumb founded, but he agrees to it. Surprise hits him in the gut when he realizes who it is, but doubts that she will agree to this farce. When he comes face to face with her he realizes all the hate, or is it hurt that she harbors and that he should have handled things differently all those years ago, should have fought harder to keep his true mate.
Harper Waverly never thought she would see the man that broke her heart when they were teenagers, let alone mate him. Bear in the Rough - Life, love, death, kidnapping, and a little wrestling thrown in makes for an interesting read. Xander just wants to make things right but struggles to do so with his brother Maximus fighting him every step of the way. Then Freya enters his life and things change. Freya and her friends out on a 3000 mile hike to prove to themselves who they truly are; happen upon 3 bear shifters and everything turns upside down. When Freya and Xander come face to face things get rocky at the beginning then feelings of the heart start to heat things up to a slow burn. Xander and Freya work together to bring the clan together tighter and he earns their trust along with Freya's. Ariana Hawkes really pulled me into her world and kept me there wanting more.
Bare Knuckle Bear - Fighting in bulletproof rings and armed police escorts can get very trying when it's the one thing that Braxton hates the most, humans. Now, with a threat to his clan, he is determined to figure out what is going on by enlisting a very human Neve, even if he has to keep himself in check every time he's around her. Neve just wants to be the lawyer she knows she is meant to be and worked so hard to get there and when things get confusing with Braxton she's not sure what to do. When the unexpected happens and sparks fly things get a bit more confusing for the both of them. As usual, Ariana Hawkes really knows how to pull me into her world and keep me there.

I had read book two ages ago then saw the box set so grabbed it through Kindle Unlimited.
1- BEAR IN THE ROUGH
Not keen on this shifter world.
Interesting but also a bit dragging.
Found it strange how Marin and Eloise changed their minds so quickly. On being released from Broken Hill they hated the bears but at the end of the hike, they lived Xander.
2 - BARE KNUCKLE BEAR
An okay read.
A slightly different bear shifter story. Interesting angle with the wrestling.
Found Neve a bit pathetic in regards to Kevin but she seemed strong with Braxton.
I have read this before but cannot remember where.
Braxton has good reason to hate humans but when Neve comes into his life and helps him with a big legal clan problem, his feelings become conflicted.
Braxton’s bear on the other hand knows Neve is his mate but the human side of this shifter set keeps hurting her.
Neve is a new lawyer and working for the Broken Hill Bears is a feather in her cap, that fact Braxton has been her favourite wrestler (big crush) is not a hardship either, until he hurts her with the things he says.
But she was with Kevin, a deadbeat boyfriend she didn’t kick to the curb when this book starts, so she is a bit of a doormat too.
The path to their HEA is bumpy but a fun read.
3 - BEAR CUFFS
I just didn’t care for this one. Both H’s seemed immature.
Juvenile, sulk in my room heroine and a hero who has spent years running with a bad crowd.
Rocco was an idiot for doing what he did but he at least had a genuine reason. Except he has not kept tabs on Harper, so how does he know if the danger is past or not? He has made no attempt to keep track of someone he supposedly loved and wanted to mate with who may be in danger.
Harper, wow. Being a teacher of youngsters has obviously kept her immature in behaviour.
Could anyone need to do so much thinking in their room as she does?
Then we get a boyfriend thrown at us out of the blue. There was no mention of this when Harper is raging against mating Rocco.

I just read all three books in the set. It took me some days because I had to take breaks, because life happens.
What I can say about this set is that it was okay and I had fun reading some parts. They had good themes and I especially loved the romance. The bear part was hot and great.
What bothered me was how these bears made a living. It wasn't my cup of tea. The first two books I was into it and it was just an aspect of the book that I didn't have to acknowledge too much as the book didn't really revolve around it too much.
The third story, Rocco... That was sooooo frustrating. Because Harper kept taking breaks, pauses, short alone times where she had to 'think' and be 'alone'. It was driving me INSANE. The whole oracle thing was a novelty in the series and one I didn't particularly enjoy. Also, boyfriend at the end? Nope, that was a bit too much. I would think she would have heard about the 90 day rule somewhere else but not from ex-boyfriend. And then she had to think. But I really didn't enjoy her back and forth. That damn bear had more patience than me.
So, all in all, 2 out of 3 stories were okay for me, the last giving me more trouble. I didn't want to give this book less stars as I stuck through it and I enjoyed parts of them.

Great box set of bear shifters
This was a great box set of bear shifters. I couldn't put it down. Read all 3 stories in 2 days and would love to read more.
Overview. The first story is Xander becomes alpha and takes a human mate. Second story is Braxton his friend and second in command. He needs a human to help him with a few laws as well as a plot using technology against the Broken Hill Bear Clan. Soon discovers she is his mate. The bear who hares humans will be mated to a human. Third story is Rocco whom is Xander's youngest brother. He is forced to marry another bear from a different clan to build better ties. But the one person whom is going to be his mate is the one who has hated home for 10 years. The one he knows is his true mate but had to let her go.

Very good boxset.....
The 3 books in this boxset are entertaining and beautifully written. The characters are fully developed and you will fall i luv with them. The theme of these stories is based on several clans of bear shifters who are involved in wrestling as their source of income. The always present lure of finding their fated mate is a constant in the lives. Who are not sure if they want to be claimed by a man-bear.

I received a free copy of Bear in the Rough and voluntarily chose to review it. This is a revised review copy of the single story Bear in the Rough. I have not read the other two stories in this boxed set. This is a somewhat different bear shifter story. Xander is suddenly the alpha of his clan. He has lots of problems with his clan and that is what makes the story interesting.

This was a great series if gave you a little action and offered up alot of the loyalty and love that shifters have to give. The brothers also got learn things about their sibling and see them in new eyes.

Loved reading the swipe left for love series so downloaded this box set I was not disappointed I really enjoyed the series often finding myself awake early hours of the morning thinking just one more page well you know how it goes

Pretty good
Broken Hill Bears are action packed but fairly short. Sometimes I didn't understand the plot for a little while but other than that great!
