BWWM BILLIONAIRE ROMANCE
A Standalone Short Story with No Cliffhanger!

Salena Martell is a fairly young woman who has just received her PhD in marketing. She struggled for a job in her field for a while before finally getting a job in one of the largest corporations on the east coast, Bryson Enterprises. She is invited in by the CEO himself, Cade Bryson, on her first day of work, after expecting a sweet old man, she is surprised to meet a young, charismatic, good-looking man running the company. She thinks about him the whole day, subtly noticing he isn’t married. Days go by and she forces herself to forget about it, and stay focused on doing a good job. That is, until he asks her to be his date for the corporation’s annual gala. She agrees to go with him.

They both experience an intense connection and after that night they are inseparable. One date turned into many and then into seeing each other every night. As a member of his staff, she is worried about a conflict of interest but he insists there is none. Her feelings progress, and so do his. Doubts plague the heroine but even then, nothing can keep them apart.

The Light

Sorry wasn't too impressed. First off it wasn't a novel or even a novella. It was just a short story. Really had no plot, just throwing a billionaire and a marketing person together. Too contrived, too easy. I found myself more intrigued by Laney and Derek. Very disappointed.
