In America's Last Days, only the Steadfast will prevail!
In STEADFAST BOOK ONE of The Steadfast Series—a 23,000-word apocalyptic novella by D.I. TELBAT, author of The COIL Series—a virus has ravaged America. There is no Internet, no federal government, no safety. Bandits and renegades roam and loot. Fresh water and food are scarce. What the pandemic didn't kill, panic in the aftermath has destroyed. Millions are dead.
Eric Radner is one of the survivors. For five years, he has hidden alone in the mountains of Wyoming. Now, a cautious run for supplies changes everything. His safe refuge, while waiting for Christ to return, is disrupted by a call that tests his faith. Others will die unless he responds and stands against a new breed of evil.
This novella series follows a Christian survivalist through the heartache and heroism of living in America's collapsed economy, following a pandemic scenario. Christian persecution abounds and fear cripples, but one man rises above the uncertain past and looks to a certain future in the hands of a Mighty God.
In the midst of America's Last Days, Eric Radner is . . . STEADFAST!

I've been writing novels and short stories since I was a young teen. God has greatly impacted me, and I now desire to honor the Lord with my life and writing.
My stories can be read in several online and print publications, as well as three anthologies. My bestselling COIL Series include novels Dark Liaison, Book One; Dark Hearted, Book Two; Dark Rule, Book Three; and Dark Vessel, Book Four, and are available at most e-retailers, as are Jaguar Dusk, a Christian Special Forces novel, Sea Scribe, a Covert Christian Mission Suspense, and End Times Novel, God's Colonel. See my website for other novels and stories added often, including Dark Cover, COIL Book Five, to be out late 2014.
I offer free weekly Christian short stories, or serialized novels, my Author Reflections, and occasional challenges to the Christian Church on my Telbat's Tablet blog at http://ditelbat.com.
When I'm not writing, I'm very involved in Christian ministry. I've kept my home office in the NW U.S. where my assistant, Dee, lives and helps with my editing and writing needs.
My motto: There is no redemption without sacrifice.

This is an interesting storyline that speaks to a virus outbreak prior to the Covid 19 situation... In addition to the survival aspect of the book, what I most enjoyed was all of the Bible references. It’s an engaging series and RECOMMENDED.
I saw this book in someone's feed. Whether on Goodreads or another social media site, I'm not sure. I downloaded. I'm glad I did. Steadfast is part one of a series about America's Last Days. A virus has taken out most of the population. Oh gosh, I'm so glad that so far, there's no zombies.
The main character, Eric Radner is reminiscent of John the Baptist in that he found the Lord (or the Lord found him) in the woods. He's been by himself for five years and the Lord has honed him during that time. Now, he is faced with interacting with people again, and being more than a survivor of a epidemic. Now he is called to be something more. There are some sad moments in the story but that adds to the grittiness of it.
Now THIS is a real pandemic. Missing TP and which restaurant to Uber from is the least of these people's problems. I appreciated the grit and honesty. We are living in the last days and there will be tribulation like we've never seen. You think 2020 was bad? We haven't seen nothing yet.
I was automatically hooked from the beginning and was drawn into the character's victories and sorrows. I hope the rest of the series continues to see the characters develop. The plot twists were amazingly done! The Christian themes hit home in a way that went past just enjoying an exciting story. All in all this was such a great read and I'm so glad I gave it a try.
This short book gets 5 stars for amazing character development so quickly. It is very realistic and lots of drama. The setting is after the fall of America and what happens in the aftermath. The story is told from one man's perspective and how his life is changed to give him purpose and peace in the midst of tragedy. Looking forward to book two.
I normally do not like to read novellas, but I have to say that this series really piqued and held my interest. I love the redemption part, how Eric comes to know the Lord, and his steadfast faith. I've already read the next two books and cannot wait until the next is out. My only complaint is that novellas are so short! I really hope novellas aren't the direction we are headed in the way of books...
This is Christian apocalyptic fiction with lots of prayer and bible verses scattered throughout. The characters are interesting and relatable. The storyline is not as plausible as in his other series I’ve read but if you want clean Christian fiction you’ll enjoy this book.
As usual Mr. Telbat keeps the action going. New characters start in this series. More heartbreak and heroism. This book is in Wyoming where people are used to taking. Are of the Selman not depending on government. See what happens.
D.I. Telbat is not only a genuine follower of Christ, but is also an awesome author and every book I've read has been a wonderful read and a true blessing. I can't wait to read them all!
I love the fact that this book, while showing the hardships one might go through and he depraved man can be, still gives hope for the Believer in Christ Jesus.
I love my Fussy Librarian membership. I got this book with my Monday picks. I thought it would be just the thing after The Passenger (I'll review that in a bit). A novella about a Christian survivalist, after a pandemic wipes out civilisation, facing the endtimes. Those are my favourite themes.
I'm not going to be my nitpicky self. Promise.
This book is well written, fast paced, taking us through crises after crises and building believable characters along the way. It is quite light reading, although dealing with heavy subject matter, it doesn't dwell on or delve too deeply into tragedy but moves through the plot quickly.
The first in a series of six books, the author is laying the foundation in this one and he does it well. Well enough that I went ahead and bought the next five.
I rated this book with 5 stars because I enjoyed it so much. Now I will go into the other books with a solid background. I recommend it to all readers who enjoy solid Christian books.
I would love to get to know the characters better, to be given more details and background info. Didn't feel like I wasted my time reading it but probably wouldn't recommend.
Great read an interesting book. Will be interesting series.
This was a pretty good book and rather timely I would say. It makes a lot of sense to the conservative mind that enjoys conservative literature. I think one would enjoy reading it.
Just a little more calmness than the first book but getting to know the characters better. The concept of the novellas is new to me but I’m enjoying how Mr. Telbat brings the characters and story to life. Looking forward to the next book.
Short and to the point, looking forward to reading the next set of books. I was happy the Christian stood his ground and died praying and looking toward heaven.
I really enjoyed this book, the author uses the basic principles of the Bible to explain what America the beliefs this country was founded on and how far we have fallen.
