I just met the boy of my dreams— literally. But there’s a catch. He’s turning into a werewolf. And I think I might be a witch. In the small town where I grew up, I was a little odd, but who wasn’t? I never told anyone about my dreams, where I went in them, or who I met; no one told me about their weird problems either. But when I left for college, the dreams followed me… and now they’re real. The startlingly handsome boy I’ve been dreaming about for years? He’s in my freshman lit class. I try to avoid him but he doesn’t take the hint. And then things start getting really weird. The boy from my dreams? The one I see all over campus? Turns out he’s dreamed about me, too. I just want to be a normal college student, with a normal life and a normal boyfriend. But I’m not. Lights blow out when I’m angry. I know certain things before they happen. Butterflies follow me when I’m in a good mood. If I’m going to save myself and the boy of my literal dreams, I need to figure out what is happening to us and why. And I need to do it fast.
To be honest I'm not sure how to rate this book because I'm not sure how I feel about this book.
Was it interesting? Absolutely. Did it have likeable characters? Yep - for the most part.
But....it was missing something. Something I can't put my finger on. Maybe it was how I ended up with more questions than answers. I honestly don't know. However, based on what I do know I would have to give this a 3.5.
I absolutely love this book! I normally don't like books with wolves and fantasy things, but this was really good. It ends suddenly with an unforgettable cliffhanger, like you didn't finish a chapter. I can't wait for the next book!
This was a very quick read, still good but idk about this .. we don't know what she is or what he really is.. or what going on really... and no clue when the second one is coming out... because what an ending! or cliffhanger I should say
The things I didn't like was the way if felt like she just kept repeating the same thing in the next paragraph.
This is a very captivating book. Parts felt a little drawn out. But other than that a wonderful book. This book ends in a cliffhanger right at a really good part. I was left ... awwwwww! Waiting for book 2 is going to be torture.
Original Witch, dreamshifters book 1 by Cameron Drake and Kara Sevda is a 5 star read. Dean Weston has just moved away to college and he's happy to be away from home and looking forward to playing college football, but walking into the dinner hall he sees a girl he's been dreaming about but never thought she was real, as they get to know each other Dean starts to change, he's stronger, faster and more aggressive than he was before, he knows it has something to do with Krista but not what. Krista has always been a little odd, growing up with her grandmother after her mother disappeared in the middle of the night when she was 7, second hand clothes made her stand out but she got good grades and was able to go to college but has to work for part of her scholarship so seeing that the boy she's been dreaming about for years standing in front of her startles her, she knows he's someone special but when he starts to change and get a little scary Krista doesn't know what to do. This book ends on a cliffhanger but definitely leaves you wanting more, I can't wait for the next part to find out what happens. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
I enjoyed this story, it had me intrigued. This to me though felt like a prologue novella, we didn't really find anything out it felt like the first part of a book that wasn't finished. Although the first part has me wanting to read more and find out what happens and what's going on. From what I read I liked the main characters but I want more, I want to get to know them more and see more development which will most likely come in future books. Wasn't a bad story just felt unfinished. Overall was a quick, easy, enjoyable read.
I got this as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. Krista has been having dreams about a guy. She just assumed that it was her imagination. Now that she is going off to college she meets him in her Lit class. She tries to get him to back off but he will not take the hint. Dean is there at college to play football. Now the girl he has been dreaming about is here at school. They have a lot of secrets. Will they over come them to for some connections? You will have to read to find out.
I feel like the author just published half of a story. It stops at 80%, which was about 125 pages. So basically, it's a novella. Also, the storyline just isn't there. It wasn't bad per se, just incomplete. It literally stops in the middle of a scene. It definitely left me wanting more, but I doubt I will continue the series. It just didn't have enough substance to it.
So far, awesome story for YA. Told by alternating views of Dean and Krista. They met in their dreams and finally in real life. He is the golden boy jock, she the pauper. Once they went to college the can be anybody they want, and they do. Fun story. Some grammar errors, but a great read. Enjoy!
This is the first book I have read by the author. The premise is very interesting and so are the characters. They are sweet and understanding. There is no rushing of story and it is unfolding at its own sweet pace. Looking forward to read the next book.
The book description made this book seem like it was going to be really good. While I like the idea of this book the writing fell short for me and at times I lost interest. Oddly enough there was a cliffhanger ending and I kinda want to know what happens next and I have no idea what to do about that.
The story was good. I did enjoy it. The way it ended was like the rest of story was missing. I'm not too fond of books that end like that. Almost like missing chapters. Other than that I enjoyed it
Loving this series so far. Can't wait for the second in the series. I do find it a little difficult to understand how dean really has no clue what's going on with himself but I'm hopeful more will be explained in the 2nd book.
I was totally engrossed until the author decided to drop acid and completely go off the rails. I have no idea what happened. We were in college, then vampires, back to college. Odd to say the least.
I had fun reading this book! It was interesting and mostly clean besides a few crude comments. Can’t wait to see what happens next! Although nothing was resolved in this book, so it didn’t feel like a real story, just like the beginning of one.
This story definitely drew me in from page 1. I loved the Dynamics between the main characters, and how they changed. Can't wait to read the next one. Hooked!!!
