There’s a fine line between love and hate, and it’s about to be set on fire.

Brix Ward is a Grade A prick.
⠀⠀
He's arrogant, spoiled, and self-centered. As the lead singer of A Rebels Havoc, he's used to women falling over themselves for a chance to tame the wild bad boy.
⠀⠀
Except for me.
⠀⠀
I still remember the boy I grew up with. The one who went out of his way to make my life a living hell. I did my best to avoid him at all costs.
⠀⠀
Imagine my surprise when our parents announced they had eloped, then left me to live with my new stepbrother. Alone.
⠀⠀
Now, no matter what I do, there's no escaping him. He's always there, tempting me, provoking me. Every moment of every day. The more we're around each other, the more the heat between us begins to rise.
⠀⠀
If he thinks he can hurt me again, he’s dead wrong.
⠀⠀
I won’t let him be the one to destroy me, even if it breaks my heart.

This book gave me so much second hand embarrassment and I wanted to cry after reading this. The mc does not have an ounce of dignity and a doormat who lusts after her ‘hot’ bully/ stepbrother.

IVY (who is sadly the mc) meets Brix (unfortunately the hero) again at a bar after coming back to her hometown. Brix doesn't recognize Ivy and flirts with her; however she rejects him as she ‘hates’ him for making her miserable throughout her teenage years. Brix is the lead singer of the boy band at the bar and Ivy works there as a waitress in order to save up money.

Unfortunately the so-called enemies to lovers/ hate does not last long as Ivy keeps drooling over him. Ivy’s mum and Brix’s dad get married making them step-siblings. Ivy cannot control her lust over her new step brother and vice versa.

SPOILERS
She keeps saying that she wants nothing with him meanwhile, she oogles him like a creep. She kept staring at Brix as he masterbates in the toilet. CRINGE. She finds it hot and gets wet when he moans her name as he master bate. She clenches her p*ssy and feels the need for his ding dong ARGFGHFGESA.

Not only that she turned when he bought a random chick over to f*ck her in his bed wishing it was her in his bed …WTF. She is supposed to be a smart straight A student yet, she thinks with her v*gina rather than her head allowing lust to consume her. When they first had sex, there was even no condom and she wasn't even on a pill. I’m sick of these mindless characters.

Ivy goes on a date with this sweet boy, Trevor but after the one night stand, she does'nt want to string him along making an excuse that she has to leave for the town and go back to her college

She even rejected the guy in front of Brix, who was so perfect and nice, Trevor. THAT WAS SO RUDE OF HER, THATS PUBLIC HUMILIATION AND SHE SHOULD KNOW THAT AFTER WHAT BRIX DID TO HER FOR THE PAST YEAR. Trevor on the other hand is a total sweetheart and perfect and I would totally go for him. Ivy (the character) says she knows that she will never feel the connection with anybody except for Brix. ARE U KIDDING ME. UGH. She should explore herself tbh. Stop studying for a while and see what’s beyond your horizons.

Girl is basically head over heels after a one night stand with the bully who basically ruined her entire school year: calling her names, embarrassing her, and more which I forgot since she herself forgot the pain she went through due to him. This woman cannot get enough of her douchebag stepbrother’s d*ck and the way he treats her: hot and cold was just maddening.

Dude treated her like shit calling her a “loser” and made bets about her with his friend. He plans to f*ck her, make her fall for him and send her crying ass back home (his words) But this does not stop this desperate heroine from craving and lusting over her new stepbrother. There was a time in the book where Brix took Ivy to the beach and she squirms in her seat desperately seeking friction between her legs as she pictures them skinny dipping in the ocean.

Brix is nothing but an asshole and a douchebag with no redeeming qualities. He thinks that by cooking a burger for her it would just magically make the inconsiderate ways he behaved towards her go away. HOW OBNOXIOUS. I want to yell and scream. Ivy is such a doormat. It's so disappointing that a bit of a sob story would let her forgive the way he treated her and made her life a living hell. He has an alcoholic mother so he uses her as a punching bag. What gives him the right to do that to anyone, He admits that he treated her like garbage and she says You're right. LOL.

At this point I am so done with Ivy idk what I was expecting from her.

Backstory

So the reason he treated her like garbage was because she saw him coming out of the principle’s office with tears in his eyes and she stopped to ask him if he was alright. WHAT THE FUDGE. His parents just divorced. I won't even give the credits to this woman and man and call them hero and heroines as they dont deserve the title.

The reason I did not give this a one star is because it was quite interesting and I wanted to know what would happen next but the characters were so infuriating!!

Audiobook review. Brix didn’t make high school easy for Ivy. In fact, he targeted her specifically for his brand of punishment.

Even as they reconnect later, there’s still a lot of growth left for him to experience. There’s one scene that was particularly cruel and difficult for me, but I understand how it was used to push the characters’ boundaries.

There were some parts of the plot I really liked, such as the band aspect and how Brix changes. However, there were other parts I felt were on the right track but a bit underdeveloped, such as the parental dynamics/conflicts as well as the use of and set up for future couples which were addressed on a surface level.

Michael Gallagher and Stefanie Kay’s voiced suited the characters well. They complemented one another and transitioned smoothly.

Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.

It’s been years since I’ve met a stepbrother story, and new-to-me-author Brooke O’Brien doesn’t disappoint in this addicting scorcher of a stepbrother-rocker romance. Achingly addictive, sinfully sexy, and oh so feel-worthy, Brix burns everywhere with heat and heart in this forbidden delight. I BURNED for this book that set my body and mind on fire with FORBIDDEN HEAT and TOUCHING TENDERNESS.

A hot and cocky, all alpha of a hero, and a beautiful and bold woman—forged together by fate—battle against temptation into taboo territory. The hero and heroines’ cat and mouse chase was a HEADY HIGH. The build-up and banter between the combustible and captivating hero and heroine made me BREATHLESS at times. I felt their chemistry steam off the pages, a blaze of fire that burned me everywhere!!! Brix and Ivy were MAGICAL together!!!

”I happen to like a chase, but you should know, I always get what I want in the end.”

Brix is an INCREDIBLY STEAMY and DELICIOUSLY DREAMY story with strong characters that captivate from beginning to end. This tale owned every ounce of my pleasure. An alluring, toe-curling, taboo stepbrother meets rock star romance full of smolder and swoon that left me melting for more.

”I think you were meant to come into my life.”

Brix is the first book I have read by Brooke O’Brien and it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book.

This book was a mix of two of the tropes I love to read about. It’s a rockstar romance with a taboo subject of step-siblings. I felt that each trope we properly covered. There was just enough rockstar material for those who love that type of story but then the taboo topic was touch on perfectly.

Brie is the first book in Brooke’s A Rebel’s Havoc series. This series is a group of standalone novels based off the members of A Rebel Havoc band. This is a complete standalone novel and is told in Dual POV. I thought the flow and pace of the story worked well. This is a fairly quick read, but nothing was rushed so you don’t feel like you missed something.

In this book we follow Brix and Ivy’s story. Brix is the lead singer in the music group A Rebel’s Havoc. He is cocky and arrogant but he also has a sweet side to him. Ivy is a college student who is on summer break and has come home to live with her mom and her new husband. Brix and Ivy have history from years ago. Brix was a bully and very mean to Ivy back in high school, so when Ivy finds out that her mom has married Brix’s dad, she is sooooo not excited!!! Both determined to avoid each other, a story of two people who shouldn’t be together begins. Can Ivy and Brix get passed their past?? Will they open up to each other?? How will their parents feel?? Can they get their HEA?? Read this book to find out.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about Brix in the beginning of this story. He was tough to love, but as the story went on and he started to reveal things about himself, I fell in love with him. I thought he had a lot of growth throughout this story. I loved Ivy’s character. She didn’t take any crap from Brix this time. She gave as good as she got.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a rockstar romance or has a touch of a taboo subject. This was one of my favorite step-siblings story. I look forward to reading more books by Brooke.

I’ve read everything that Brooke O’Brien has written and I just can’t help but love her work. Her previous series was a sweet contemporary romance, this time this book is something completely different and honestly you can see the change in her writing…. She’s grown so much as an author and it shines through the words she’s written. Whilst reading this book, I just fell in love with the story, the characters and couldn’t help but be so drawn into the story. Brooke knows how to writing captivating stories that just keep her readers reading, she knows what to give the readers and I think that she did an amazing job with this book. I honestly couldn’t fault the story and can’t wait to see what she has planned for the rest of the series.
If you’ve not read Brooke’s work, you should go ahead and try it, because it’s well worth the read.

Ivy is back in her hometown, the last place she wants to be, but because she needs the money ready for when she goes back to school, she thought she’d come home for the summer so that she can work to save some money. Her mom has recently just recently gotten engaged so she’s expecting there to be a wedding at some point during her stay. However, she’s only been back a few hours and already she sees the last person she wanted to be around…. Brix. Back when she was younger, he used to torment her, and now she’s back she’s got to deal with him hanging about. As long as she tries to keep her distance from him, her stay shouldn’t be so bad…… That is until the next morning and she finds out that they’re step-siblings…. Yuppp, you guessed it, their parents got married. Will she be able to make it through the summer without having to get into a fight with him (she’s no longer the weak girl she used to be) or will there be chaos happening constantly?

Brix is an incredibly unique story that grabbed me from the first page! This forbidden stepbrother romance just ticks off all the boxes for me! A sassy heroine who gives just as good as she gets and a sexy asshole of a stepbrother who isn’t exactly as intimidating as he seems.

I fell head over heels for Ivy and Brix! Their banter, chemistry that jumps off the pages and the sexiness that these two characters brought to the table was outstanding. The drama and angst between Ivy and Brix was just the perfect amount and it consumed my afternoon! Add in a perfect HEA and bonus epilogue and I have to tell you that I honestly could not put this book down <3

I definitely think that Brooke O’Brien has stepped up her game with Brix and it shows! Brix & Ivy rocked my world and I've found a new book boyfriend in Brix <3 This is honestly my favorite book from this author and I cannot wait to get more of A Rebels Havoc!

This is my first Brooke O'Brien novel and It surely wont be my last.
I am absolutely in love with A Rebel's Havok!

Brix was the typical broody bad boy. He went out of his way to push Ivy to her limits only to fall at her feet.

Ivyanna was a breath of fresh air. She was determined and refused to bend to Brix's charms.

Together they battled their own wills and their own desires to make a pretty cute couple!

Their relationship was semi-taboo step-sibling romance, however, their parent's whirlwind dating and then subsequent marriage was sprung on both Brix and Ivy.

My heart blead for these people, Brix's family life pushed him to become the badboy rockstar everyone thought he was and in turn the one person that has ever shown him any other form of kindness became the person he used as his outlet. But Ivy is no longer the person who let's Brix torment her.

The secondary characters were also a draw card. I would have loved to have more interactions with them but Tysin's blasé attitude and Maddens protectiveness Kyla's bestfriend/ annoying little sister vibe and even Hensley's sweetness were just the right amount to make my curiosity peak.

I listened to this one on audio. Brix was the bane of Ivyanna existence as she was younger. Causing her nothing but pain. Leaving the town and Brix behind her Ivyanna is exciting for what the future will hold.

Years later and Ivyanna is back in town and what would you know but her childhood nemesis is her new stepbrother. The spark that they had in the past have shifted to something different as the years have passed. They still can't stand each other but they also cant resist each other either. Leading to heated moments for us to enjoy.

I loved Ivy and Brix. They had an enemies to lovers/step-sibling relationship and I was all in when I saw that. Loved these characters so much. They had such a great chemistry that you could feel it coming off the screen. It was so hot and intense even though they tried to fight it and when they finally give in, boom, explosive. I highly recommend this story to everyone. You won’t regret it.

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Moving home for the summer to save money until she goes back to school in the fall, Ivy soon learns that the man her mother has gotten engaged to is the father of her high school tormentor, Brix.

From the moment Brix learns that the hottie from the bar who shot down his advances is his new stepssister and the girl he bullied in high school, he concocts a plan to sleep with her and break her heart. Little does he know that Ivy isn’t the shy little nerd from before, and she’s quick to put him in his place.

I gave this a whirl because I was up for a little bully romance, but this was just kind of disappointing all around. Brix’s character doesn’t have much character growth until he realizes he’s in love with Ivy, and doesn’t really apologize for how he treated her in the past. Brix blames it on his parent’s divorce and his mom’s alcoholism making him angry and lashing out, and Ivy is like I get it and lets it slide????? Plus his bet with his friend to bag and break her gets swept under the rug because he writes and performs a song about how much he loves her.

It just wasn’t what I expected 🤷🏻‍♀️

description
Brix is the first book in Brooke O'Brien's brand new Rebels Havoc series and it was everything I love in a good forbidden step siblings romance! This story was an addictively sexy and steamy romance that burned me up inside and out. I am still trying to rid myself of this deep ache in my chest after inhaling all the words. I was living for every moment of this sinful story and I could not get enough of Brix and Ivy's banter. These two were made for each other and oh my goodness did their chemistry set my heart on FIRE! I just couldn't get enough of them and I was so sad when their story ended, but at least we will get to see more of them soon with the rest of the books in this standalone series!

Brix is your typical bad boy rockstar that ends up falling for Ivy, the girl that has been right in front of him all those years, even though he never realized...until it might have been too late. In the beginning I so did NOT want to like him at all, but Brooke O'Brien just has this way with words that makes you fall in love with even the most flawed of characters. He ended up capturing every fractured piece of my heart and soul...even if I wanted to punch him in the face a time or two.

Oh and don't even get me started on my girl crush of Ivy! She is my spirt gal and I freaking loved her sassy personality and the vulnerability she was willing to expose to the man she found herself hating to love. She was so strong, but even the strongest person can break when faced with reality. Ivy was EVERYTHING and I couldn't get enough of her story. She deserved a happily ever after, even with all the twists and turns that stood in their way.

Brooke O'Brien is a beautiful storyteller and you can discover that now when you pick up your copy of Brix today! Like seriously go do it RIGHT NOW!!!

Enemies to lovers, a sexy rock star and a forbidden stepbrother romance to top to it off. We get the promise of that and so much more in the first book in A Rebel’s Havoc series by Brooke O’Brien.

“There’s a fine line between love and hate, and it’s about to be set on fire.”

Ivy needs money for school so to save up she heads to a place she’d rather not for the summer...home. While she is excited to see her Mom and her bestie, she’s not all that excited to be back in the town she grew up in. A girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do, right? And that’s how unfortunately within the first few hours of being home she runs into the one person she dreaded seeing most. The bane of her very existence...Brix Ward.

“To say I hated Brix Ward would be a mild understatement. If he were to go up in flames standing in front of me, I wouldn’t bother to offer him the glass of water in my hand.”

Brix doesn’t recognize Ivy at first but she knows right off the bat that the super sexy lead singer of A Rebel’s Havoc is still the same entitled jackass he’s always been. He thinks he can have any girl he wants bent over and ready with one of his signature sexy smiles but Ivy refuses to be another notch on his bed post. What happens when they discover they will be living under the same roof and with Ivy’s new job be seeing a lot more of each other? Their “I love to hate you but really want you” relationship starts to get a little intense and a whole lot of steamy. Is it possible for bad boy Brix to really change his ways for Ivy or will the secret he is keeping from her ruin their chance at love?

“I’ll never let him see me broken. He doesn’t deserve to know he got through to me.”

I loved the whole idea of this book. I am a sucker for an enemies to lover read and the fact that we also got a sexy rock star and a stepbrother romance all tied up in a pretty package pulled me right in. That cover...yes, please. I liked most of this book but sadly I just didn’t love it. I think it’s that I need a little more of the enemy part in my books. Ivy was a good character but she gave in to Brix so easily and he shed his bad boy persona just as quickly. I felt it was missing a lot of that much needed build up that I have come to love in these types of stories. The whole push and pull of the enemies to lovers. It just escalated too quickly for me so I felt disconnected from the characters and the story. I did however love some of the secondary characters and hope Ivy’s BFF gets her own book next. I am looking forward to seeing how this series plays out so I will definitely be reading more.

When Ivy comes home from college to Carolina Beach for the summer the last thing she is expecting is to find out her mom is married and that she has a step brother. A step brother she went to high school with who hated her.

Brix Ward is an egotistical, self absorbed a**hole who is also sexy as sin and the lead singer in 'A Rebels Havoc'. After his Dad gets married he is forced to live with his new step sister for the summer. The girl he grew up tormenting throughout high school.

This was such a quick and easy read. The sexual tension and chemistry between Ivy and Brix was fire and I enjoyed watching it play out. There back and forth banter as well as the angst in the beginning was intense and sexy as hell. There relationship quickly changed into something more as we watched these two give in to what they really want and it left me swooning for Brix who was alot sweeter and caring than I ever thought possible.

This story had so many good tropes that im currently loving
▪Step Sibling/Forbidden Trope
▪Rockstar Romance
▪Hate/Love Romance
▪Forced Proximity/Roommate Trope

I loved every single side character and was very intrigued by some of their dynamics and can't wait for more in this series. I just know Tysin's story is going to be a good one

I have to admit that it took me little while to get into this book, I had to take the time to get to know the characters and to really like them. Maybe you won't believe me when I tell that you will like Brix, but believe me you will!

Brix is really your typical jerk, he naturally thinks he's perfect and every girl will want him. Is he a very innovative character? No not but in romance you often have characters that look alike. What I find important is that the character fits into the story and that is certainly true.

I soon liked Ivy, she's a bit rebellious and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do and in a romance book that's what I'm looking for in a female character.

The chemistry between Brix and Ivy is really clear from the first meeting, the arguing back and forth in combination with that tension is what makes this book so good. Of course there is also a background story in this book, especially for Brix and I think that is also important. You learn to understand this and to appreciate it, you actually need it a bit.

I am very curious if the characters around them will also receive a book because I am very curious about them even though you do not see them very often in this book. The moments that they are there, they are really there and you really have the feeling that they are an important part of the story.

All in all a wonderful love story. It is a book that touches you but also makes you happy and that is exactly the mix that I love ..

Ivy and Brix have a hate relationship from their past, and Ivy isn’t willing to let that hurt go. Now they are thrown together, and the chemistry that they have just keeps growing.

I thought this was a fun, quick read, but it was very insta-love. It read more like a novella, and the events and forgiveness happened very quickly. This book is also more of a enemies to lovers/stepbrother romance. It mentions a bully relationship, but the events do not really show that aspect. It is mentioned in a few flashbacks, but even then, it seemed like he was more of a jerk than a bully.

Overall, it was a great read. It had the angst, forbidden aspect, and a secret that is bound to come out eventually!

Brix was a very enjoyable read, I was hooked as soon as I read the synopsis. A rocker-stepbrother-bully romance, I couldn’t pick this one up fast enough!
Ivy returned home from college just for the summer and she was determined not to fall under Brix’s spell, the heat between them was insane but Brix was always a jerk to her when they were in high school and as a result she just wanted to stay away from him. Yet, Ivy suddenly realized her mom married Brix’s father, which meant they were now step siblings and she was going to stay in Brix’s house for the whole summer.
Brix was a sexy brooding rock singer that hit on Ivy even before he recognized her, he couldn’t believe Ivy was back and how much he wanted her. Even after he discovered he was her new stepbrother, everything he craved was her although Ivy was fighting him every chance she got. Brix wasn’t going to let Ivy get away and it definitely helped that they were living under the same roof for the summer.
The push and pull between this two was great, it was steamy, heated, entertaining and there were sparks flying everywhere. I liked how their story progressed, how Brix opened up to Ivy and how their hate/love relationship was developed. I really enjoyed Brix and Ivy’s romance but I wish there was a little bit more of grovel because Ivy’s forgiveness was a little quicker than I would like. Also, I would have loved if we had more scenes from their past. Overall, it was a great start to this series, with a LOT of chemistry and heat, I definitely want more from A Rebels Havoc.

Ivy is home to stay for the summer with her mom. What she doesn't know is she will meet her stepfather and stepbrother as her mom got married on vacation. The stepbrother just happens to be Brix, Ivy's bully from high school. Brix is hot but an arrogant guy. He tormented Ivy in school. Sparks fly when the two find out their parents are married. There is so much more to this couple than what you see as the story unfolds. A stunningly good read.

i read this book back in 2020. then my kindle did this wonderful thing where it reset all my books. so i forgot i read this book until yesterday. i read it again and remembered why i hated it- all because of ivy’s doormat of a personality.

i mean lets be honest, whats so great about this book? brix and ivy’s parents get married without telling them, brix is a bad boy with mommy issues, brix used to be a dick to ivy when they were growing up, but then magically she forgives him because she heard his sob story (or maybe his dick game was that good idk).

its still not gonna stop me from reading about Maddenand Tysin, but this book was just ✨average✨

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we all need a Brix in our lives! Holy wowza that guy is something else! He definitely made my list of favorite books boyfriends!

I loved this story. You’ve got a stepbrother romance merged with a rockstar romance as well as a previous bully romance. So SO good! I love Brix and Ivy’s connection, they go so well together.

This book was definitely a quick read for me and I kept picking it up any chance I got. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

Brix was my first stepbrother romance and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. Can you imagine coming home for the summer and finding out your mother married your enemy's father? I know I can't and that's where everything got interesting. Brix is a fast and fun read and everything I needed in a romance.

Ivy is one of our feisty main characters and I loved her from the start. She's determined to get her way through college and won't take handouts from anyone. All she wants is to spend the summer with her mother and save money for her last year of school. Ivy is independent and hands on, not even being home a day she's ready to find a job and get her summer going. I could definitely be friends with a person like her!

Brix is quite a handful. He's cocky and does as he pleases. Taking home a girl to sleep with her and never see her again is nothing new for him. Brix is a tough guy and may be a tad too arrogant, but there's definitely a reason why he ended up this way. There is a lot of baggage from his childhood and some things are easier to get over than others. He had me laughing out loud and wanting to give him a huge hug when we learn more about him. This was definitely more Brix's story, but that fit the book so well. I loved seeing him change in this book and opening up with Ivy.

It's definitely not love at first sight with these two. It's clear there's an attraction, but Ivy hasn't forgiven Brix for how he treated her in high school. Even though it's been awhile, that's definitely still an issue. I really appreciated getting a glimpse of what happened, but it didn't take over this story! The attraction and frustration between these two jumped off the pages. I can also say the same about the forbidden aspect with them being stepsiblings. It was there, but there wasn't too much drama or issues with it. Brix and Ivy had enough going on as it was!

Yeah, the romance between these two may seem to get quickly, but that didn't bother me. I feel it fit these two characters and their stituation! They had moments with me laughing out loud, tension you could cut with a knife and some steamy scenes that will definitely having you need to cool yourself off. I loved all of that, but I loved them getting to know each other. Brix really opens himself up to her and it was a great side to see. If it was up to me, I'd have the next book in my hands right now!

4.5 stars - fab enemies-to-lovers read! Lotsa sexy tension!

"Yeah, the hate-sex is gonna be real f*ckin' good for the both of us."

Ivy Thomas has no choice but to go home for the summer, while she saves enough money to finance her final year at college. When her old nemesis doesn't recognise her and makes a pass at her, she gleefully puts him in his place. However, the shocking reality is that they are suddenly related when her mother marries his father, and she finds herself living, mostly alone, with Brix Ward.

"The urge to reach out and touch her consumes me."

Living at close quarters with the girl he used to bully drives Brix to distraction. He wants her like no other, even though he knows that he doesn't deserve her. There's no denying that she's just as attracted to him, even if she doesn't want to be, and he's determined to make her give in to it.

"I wanted to ravage her, own her, make her mine."

Ooh, this was a really good read. Both Ivy and Brix were strong charactes and there's a lot of hate-fuelled lust brimming between them. Ivy is determined not to give in because of their past, as well as their present, but the close proximity between them makes it hard to ignore the desire they have for one another. Brix is a pretty troubled and angry guy, but I loved how much he wanted to open up to Ivy. I loved that he didn't care what people thought of them being together but also his determination to prove to Ivy that he really cared about her. Thoroughly enjoyed this story!

Brix is a sexy, sexy jerkface with a big ol’ heart hiding in there somewhere. This book was so good. Once I started, I didn’t want to put it down.

Enemies to lovers...check.
Dirty talker...check.
Arrogant, tattooed, singer in a rock band... check, check, & check!
If you know me, you know these are some of my favorite things.

Brix wasn’t nice to Ivy in high school. At all. He was rude, arrogant, and she did everything she could to avoid him.

So when she comes home from college and runs into him while out with her friend, imagine her satisfaction when he didn’t even recognize her and tried to schmooze her and get her to go home with him.

She turned him down - hard. Put him in his place. No one turns down Brix, so he immediately starts with his asshole behavior...again.

Then imagine both their surprise when they find out that HER mom married HIS dad.

So that’s all fine and dandy, but then they start being civil to one another. Then the sparks start to sizzle a bit. Then it’s just unavoidable, their chemistry is too strong and they can’t stay away from each other. These two together were HOT.

This story is full of heart and passion, betrayal and pain, love and regret. The author did a great job of redeeming Brix and making me fall hard for him. He’s actually quite the romantic.

I look forward to the next book in the series!

4.5 Love Stars!! 💚

As soon as I found out about this audiobook I could not contain my excitement for it! Having first picked up Brix last year I couldn't wait to get into for the second time. I loved this audiobook and getting to experience this story in this new way! I fell even harder again and that made my book loving heart so happy!

This was my first time listening to both Michael Gallagher and Stefanie Kay! These two were so great with their narration as Brix and Ivy! I loved feeling so many emotions with these characters again and how their journey is a unique one! I couldn't get enough!

With Brix, Ms.O'Brien has created a story that'll make you feel A LOT! I am so looking forward to listening to more Michael Gallagher's and Stefanie Kay's narration in the near future!

I've said this once and I'll say it again, Just like hitting the repeat button while listening to a favorite song, I'm going to picking Brix up again in the future. I am so dang excited for the next A Rebels Havoc book! 💚

Brooke O’Brien is a new to me author and I am addicted to her writing! Brix is the first book of an all new series and it starts off with a bang.

Brix is the perfect mix of stepbrother romance, Rockstar romance and bully romance. It was everything I never knew I needed in my life. I got some Kellen Kyle Thoughtless vibes from this story.

I loved the chemistry between Brix and Ivy. They have a history, though it is not a good one (which is where the bully romance comes in). However, that’s the past and their future is something different, especially now that they are stepsiblings. I couldn’t put this book down. I was completely sucked into their relationship and their story.

Brix was sweet, romantic and holy hotness he was kicking up the heat! Ivy isn’t the weak little girl from Brix’s past, she is strong and I love her sassy attitude. Their relationship was full of ups and downs from the start. Their relationship is messy, taboo and they don’t care what anyone says about it. They are perfect for each other; they bring out the best in each other and support each other in every aspect.

I can’t wait for more of this series and to see the secondary characters grow, plus I am excited for more Brix and Ivy!

Brix is a MUST READ and one of my TOP READS of 2020.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon Brooke O'Brien and this book. Brix is the first book by O'Brien that I have read and it did not disappoint! Brix is light-bully, forbidden stepbrother, new adult romance perfection. Ivy returns home during a college summer break to discover that not only has her mother eloped but that her new stepbrother is non-other than her childhood tormentor, Brix Ward. The chemistry level between Ivy and Brix is scorching hot and the sex scenes are plentiful *fans self*. This was a book that I couldn't put down and I highly recommend it! I can't wait to see which A Rebels Havoc band member will be featured in book #2.

Brix is the first book I have read from this author and it will not be the last. I seriously have a Brix hangover.

Ivy returns home from college to find out her mother eloped and to the father of her high school bully, Brix. She is now forced to live in the same house with him for the summer.

Brix, troubled alpha male, now Ivys stepbrother and lead singer for his band. He sees Ivy and didn’t recognize her, He tries to make a pass at her and she turned him down, flat. From that moment on. I think I was hooked. There were times I want to smack him. I loved Ivy. She didn’t play the victim. Even with her heart on the line.

There where some parts were predictable. But not many or I would have given five stars. All and all I loved this book and don’t say that often for rockstar romance. I highly recommend Brix.

Wow, wow, wow!
Sweet Ivy, returns home to college and Brix, her new step brother. He’s a “hot” tattooed bad boy lead singer in a rock band singer with a cocky grin to match....but there is a good heart underneath all that swagger, you just have to find it and Ivy isn’t going to take any *rap until she does.
A love-hate, step sibling romance is always entertaining and this one is a classic.
The characters were excellent and the storyline was very enjoyable.
A great read. I can’t wait for more Rebel’s Havoc!
