I went in to lay down the law – but all I can think about is handcuffing her to my bed and serving her my own kind of justice.
A dangerous job like mine isn’t ideal for a single dad.
So I took a high profile undercover gig that would help keep me off the streets.
There's just one problem: my cover is working at a bar tending for Starla Jones, the sexiest woman in the city of Chicago - and I can't tell her my true identity.
I wonder how she will react after she finds outs her brother is one of the guys I’m busting.
Those sexy bedroom eyes, full luscious lips and delicious curves have me wanting to abort mission, and pursue an entirely new end game.
She’s yearning for the punishment I have in store for her - and I'm more than willing to oblige.
I’m trying desperately to stay focused on the matter at hand, but all I can think about is taking her out back and ordering her to ‘spread ‘em’ for Officer Daddy.
As much as I’d like to show her the big baton stick I’m packing, I need to stay focused on the mission– or I could lose everything.

In Chapter 2, we are introduced to Cash Langston, the hero of the book, as he leads a woman named Serenity to motel room #69 for a hook-up. Details were not spared, and we get to read through an extremely detailed BJ, followed by penetrative intercourse, all done without the safe sex talk OR the use of condoms. Let it be noted that Cash pulled Serenity over for a missing headlight just 10 days prior. It's doubtful that health history was exchanged between these virtual strangers during that time. And Cash is already a single dad, so he knows the risks of unprotected sex. Afterwards, he dismisses Serenity, with the thought that he can't have her hanging around because he has a kid at home to worry about and all. (How very noble of him. NOT!!) Then he leads her to her car, being careful that no one sees them together. WOW!! He's sounding more and more like a winner. Ironically, later in this same chapter, Cash refers to his daughter Livvy's mother as a “deadbeat” who “cared more about herself than her daughter.” Pot, have you met my friend, Kettle?
Blah, blah, blah, Cash has to go undercover at Starla's bar. He immediately has lust eyes for Starla when they first meet. Of course, they end up getting together. But the kicker? Cash has unprotected sex with Starla, after he had just had unprotected sex with Serenity not even a week before this. No talk of previous sexual partners. No sexual history convo. None of that. Instead, when he is about to ejaculate, then he asks Starla, “Is it safe?” because he wants to come without having to withdraw. This is the 3RD FRIGGING MILLENNIUM!!! Everybody knows that it is possible to impregnate a woman with even the teeniest amount of semen. Meaning, Cash very well could have impregnated Serenity a week earlier! Considering that he is a single father, you'd think that he would wrap that shit up EVERY time now.
Lastly, the title of this book is misleading. Seeing as how Cash is undercover throughout just about the entire book, the actual “Cuff Me, Daddy” scenario doesn't even take place until the Epilogue. Unless, of course, you count the time in Chapter 2 when Cash fucked Serenity, and the two of them did the whole cop role-play thing.
This book was ok for me. Felt very rushed and in some places just a bit repetitive. Starla and Lu work in a bar but Starla's brother is using it to pack up drugs because he owes some people some money due to a bad gambling debt. Cash is sent in as an undercover agent to find out what he needs to about Scottys conections. Of course they fall in love with eachother and there is an awful lot of sex going on. I thought that if the plot was a bit thicker this would have been a great book but alas this was pretty much just a smut... JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! Unfortunately it was a smut that try to pawn itself off as a novel, nope!
Cuff Me Daddy was a great read w/a HEA. It was hot and steamy!! Cash and Starla's chemistry was explosive. Received an ARC and I'm leaving a voluntary review.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
He is a cop who thought he was going to be done with undercover work. He has a young daughter that he loves and wants to be there for. When the one chance he has for a promotion (of sorts) comes up he can't say no, literally. Breaking this to his mom and his daughter was not the easiest thing in the world either. But Cash has no idea what is in store for him. He knows that he will be working at a bar for a grandmother and granddaughter, and that the grandson is somehow tied into this mess, but the rest is what he will learn while being there. He just didn't realize how much he had to learn.
She has the weight of the world on her shoulders. Grandma (Lu) owns the bar and has worked in it since the day it opened. Now her health is not as good as it could be or was. Her brother has gotten himself into trouble due to gambling and Starla is left to hold things together. So when the one bartender just up and leaves, but leaves the name of a replacement, she is all but ready to scream. Things were not ever easy for Starla but she is proud of all that she has and most of all she has what means the most to her, that is her family. But there was something else poor Starla didn't count on....and he happens to be the new employee.
Cash is not thrilled with having to be away from his daughter and undercover, but this case seems pretty close to being able to close. That is until he starts his bartending career. At the interview Lu (grandma) collapses. Cash jumps in to help her while calling out for others to help. That is when Starla comes into sight and man he is already thinking of ways to keep her and make her his. Starla is too busy noticing the new hire at first and then Grandma is top priority.
The flirting was supposed to be a part of Cash's way of getting in, but his flirting is because he wants Starla. She has not had a lot of luck in the relationship field, and for that matter neither has Cash. Starla and Cash flirt, things happen, then there is emotions mixing in. Scared and embarrassed Starla goes to apologize and Cash is having none of that. The flirting intensifies as does the spark and interaction these two are sharing. The heat from these two is off the charts.
Now the brother has been showing up and there is something big happening. Cash is on to this. Lu is onto Cash for being a cop, Starla is too emotionally involved to notice. One night things are discovered, anger ensues, secrets are exposed and a plan is hatched to help the brother out of this alive. Starla is too stubborn to see the light, Lu is not allowing her to stay that way, Cash is doing all he can to prove to her what he feels is real, even Scott (the brother) is telling Starla to wise up and see that what is happening is actually the best thing. He is alive and with the help from Cash going to be with his family.
There is a lot of twists happening, a hostage situation, a certain three word phrase said, anger that is blinding until someone finally gets through. There is also feelings from the stubborn one finally being seen and embraced for the first time. Also a few bonus chapters that will melt your heart, and make you melt with how these two get their happy ending. There is so much that happens and for the whole book you are glued with the phrase "just one more page" being said over and over. This was too good to put down.
Starla Jones was ready to go ballistic if another drunk pinched her butt at the Starlight Bar where she was helping out her feisty grandmother as bartender. Her brother, Scott, was off somewhere doing his thing and leaving them with all the work again. One of their other workers had quit, but he thankfully found a replacement for them who would start the next day if the interview went well. They really could use the help right now.
Cash Langston was a single dad with full custody of his daughter. He was the newest police hire and was hoping for an undercover job which would move him closer to his goal -- his Mom’s suggestion -- of a safer desk job so he would be around for his daughter as she grew up. His chief called him in for a talk. They had an important undercover job and, if Cash would take it, the chief would make sure he got the desk job. Cash was the only person unknown at the bar where he would be working undercover. He was after a dangerous drug lord who had pressured the grandson to let them use the bar as a dropping off spot. Cash would be looking for evidence.
As Cash and Starla worked together, they felt the chemistry between them. But would it all come crashing down when Starla found out Cash was there to bring down her brother and the drug dealer?
This was a good story. The story line was interesting and kept the readers’ attention. I loved Starla and her grandmother. They were hard-working, strong women and able to stand up for themselves. I did not like Cash at first because of how he treated a woman he had hooked up with. But his love for his Mom and his daughter redeemed him. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest and sincere opinion.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book I LOVED Cash and Starla's story, It was HOT, sexy, cute and an amazing story, It is different than all the bad boy books out there right now Cash is a police officer who finally has full custody of his daughter Lizzy and has moved back to Atlanta from Dallas to stay with his mom so she can help him take care of his six year old daughter, Cash has asked for a transfer to a desk job so he has more time with Lizzy and so he wont be in as much danger as being on the beat or undercover. When his chief tells him there is an undercover job open that Cash would be perfect for because he is an unknown on the force and because it will most likely be the stepping stone to his desk job he takes it. He is to be a bartender at the Starlight bar. The Starlight bar has been owned and operated by Luna (Lu) her granddaughter Starla and grandson Scott forever but lately Scott has been shirking his duties to the family and is in trouble. He has a gambling problem and now owes a very big debt to Kings the mafia boss in Atlanta, Scott is doing what needs to be done to protect his Grandmother and Starla but that includes bringing his issues to the bar. Cash and Starla cannot help their attraction when he starts working at Starlight and even though he knows he is undercover his feelings start being more then he planned for. I LOVED how this story played out and OMG the handcuff scene was so hot. I LOVED how Alpha male Cash was but also how sweet he was with his daughter I HIGHLY recommend this book
Cash is a police detective who just moved to town with his little daughter. Now that he has full custody of his girl, he wants to get a desk job so he won't be constantly in danger. His Captain has an undercover job for him to do first. Scott a local has gotten in over his head with bad people who run drugs and guns. He owes them so much money he has to do whatever they ask. He has a sister and a grandmother who run a local bar. Cash's cover is to be hired as a bartender/bouncer at their bar and get close to the family. He is also to plant bugs in the bar and protect the innocent members of the family. When Cash arrives at the bar, his is stunned by Starla, the sister. Getting close to her will a most pleasurable task. Starla's family has owned the bar for years. Her grandmother is still in charge but her health is declining. Starla and Scott are supposed to be stepping up and taking over but Scott is stuck in a bad crowd. Starla has a lot of trouble; her grandmother's health, her brother's probable illegal activities, and the bar business. Her new bartender is Cash is a big help and is super hot. She is able to confide a lot of her trouble to him and the passion between them is great. However it is just a matter of time until the sh%t hits the fan. Will she forgive Cash for keeping secrets? Can Cash save her and her family? This is a good hot story with some drama in it. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Cuff Me Daddy is about Starla and Cash. Starla runs The Starlight Bar, along with her grandmother, Lu (who is the owner), and her brother, Scott. Cash is new in town, and perfect for the undercover operation his chief wants him on. In fact, the chief told Cash that he coukd have the desk job he requested as soon as the job is done. Cash is divorced from his wife, and after she was deemed unfit, now has full custody of their daughter, Livvy. The undercover job is to work as a bartender at Starlight and get the local drug lord caught and get the drugs out of their town. Scott is caught up in it because of his gambling. Cash agrees, but has no idea what he's getting into.
Cash has experience as a bartender and a bouncer, so he will fit in perfectly at The Starlight, according to Lu. The moment Cash lays eyes on Starla, however, things change in his mind. He works his way into Starla's good graces with his work, and they both enjoy the flirting going on between them. But what happens when real feelings become involved? What happens when Starla finds out Cash is there to put her brother away? What about Livvy and Lu?
I enjoyed this story. I liked that there were both POV's. Cash's conflicted emotions between getting the job done and not hurting Starla in the process felt real. There were sweet moments, super hot scenes, intrigue in the undercover part, even some funny moments. This was the first book I read from this author, and based on this read, will not be my last.
Well, it started out with promise, but I didn't particularly enjoy my introduction to Cash and Starla went from great to a bit juvenile. Cash improved while Starla diminished.
The story was fine, it had non-relationship drama that was written well despite its simplistic resolution, and the relationship drama was resolved quickly enough. I'm not a fan of prideful grudge holding, even though Starla eventually admits to herself what she feels and wants for the future.
We got enough backstory on the MC's that I felt like I knew these people and could support them as individuals and as a couple. All side characters except for Lu remained off-screen for most of the book so we're made aware of everyone but not really invited into their whole world. That's okay, but it leaves a shallow feeling at the end of the story.
I would much rather have read the end with Cash's voice and words in my head than Starla's, so that was slightly disappointing. I also think the bonus chapters helped us see their future and without them I wasn't a fan of the end of the book so I'm glad they were there. Overall, the book was okay and I ended the story liking Cash way better than Starla even though I began the book with the opposite feeling.
My honest review was willingly given after reading an ARC from the author.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Cash, the single dad uncover cop is not portrayed as a great guy when you first meet him. For me, it is unsettling how Cash treats the woman with the ticket. I realize that is to emphasize his change in character upon meeting Starla, the woman who manages the Starlight Bar. He seems to evolve into this fully aware and caring man that goes beyond his mother and daughter.
Starla is consumed with worry in regards to her grandmother, who has some health issues and keeps working at the bar and her brother, who is involved with some bad men doing shady business at the bar after hours instead of helping the family run the bar. As Cash gets close to Starla, she allows herself to have fun and enjoy their time together. The times they spend together are steamy but, you can also feel when the attraction becomes more than either of them expected.
The whole time reading the book, the suspense of finding out what Starla's brother is doing, will Cash be outed as a cop, can Starla and Cash have a future that includes his daughter, and will they all make it out alive are questions that keeps the pace of the story. I like that there isn't a lull in the drama and action.
Good story, suspense, great characters and a HEA. I am always excited to a Rye Hart book.
Cash is a tough cop who has an adorable little daughter called Livvy who is the light of his world and he will do anything for her once he gains custody of her form her junkie mother. He realises his job could lead to an untimely death so he decides he must get a desk job for her. His boss says if he goes undercover one last time he will be guaranteed that safe job. This leads to him encountering Starla and her grandmother Lu who owns a bar where things are not always "safe" due to Starla's brother Scott who has got himself into a mess with a crime lord. Cash is working as a bartender/bouncer and his attraction to Starla is instantly combustible and reciprocated! This book is so well written. Rye Hart knows how to create a tension of both concern and steamy hot passion. The connection between Starla and Cash is wonderful and it's lovely reading how much closer they become and fall in love with each other. Livvy is a little sweetheart. I have read all of Rye Hart's ebooks that are available in the UK and every single won is a winner but this one is my favourite so far. She has put a twist or two in the story line that makes it that wee bit less predictable, although there is a very HEA. I recommend that you go straight to your bookshop and buy this book straight away and settle down to indulge yourself with some suspense and hot, steamy passion ;)
I give this one 3.5 stars. I was sort of disappointed in it, but I am sure that is just me. I think Cash's no-tell motel hook up at the start of the book was put there for the sexual content and it made me not like him for about half of the book.
That said, the plot wasn't too bad. An undercover cop working in a bar to try to get information on some kind of nefarious activity. The bar-owner's granddaughter catches his fancy, and he catches hers. He needs information and she might have it, but as he falls for her he knows his deception might not play well with her in the end.
Starla has had a bad breakup due to her loyalty to her family and the family business. She is not really looking for love. The new bartender is attractive and attentive. He walks her home at night, even though home is next door to the bar. He seems to like her, but he also seems to be hiding something. She does not need another broken heart.
I am not going to ruin the story for you. It is a short book and I liked the bonus chapter the best. There are some extra stories at the end, but I only read the first one so I have no real opinion on them. The first one was kinda far-fetched and contradictory, but it was ok.
Smut goddesses, you are gonna love this one. The sexy-fun-times start right at the beginning and go through the whole story. You aren't gonna want to put this one down. Buxom brunette beauty, Starla is a single girl working as a manager/waitress at the family bar. Her grandma, Lu, is the owner and her brother, Scott, is the real manager. Too bad Scoot can't be bothered coming to work anymore. This leaves Starla and Lu in a tough spot with no bartender or bouncer. Hot and muscled Cash is a cop and a single father. He wants off the streets and into a less dangerous desk job. The only thing standing in the way is one final undercover mission. His superiors need a new face to investigate a drug kingpin in the city who may be using and controlling Scott. Cash is sent to work for Starla and Lu as the new bartender/bouncer. It should be an easy gig, get in get evidence and get out. What Cash isn't counting on is his instant attraction to Starla and the increasing need to keep her and Lu safe. This is a steamy romp with a lot of non-stop action. I requested a copy of this as an ARC so that I could post a review.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Cuff Me Daddy written by Rye Hart and voluntarily reviewed this book. Starla Jones has been doing everything in her power to help out in her grandmother Lu's bar Starlight, since her brother Scott hasn't been able to pull his load and contribute. Instead, he's been busy getting into trouble, but now he's bringing unwanted action to the bar.
Cash Lange recently transferred to the Atlanta police force to be closer to his mom and was willing to work undercover, in the hopes that he could earn a better position and therefore would be able to spend more time with his young daughter. He was tasked to investigate Scott and his suspicious activities and to get close to the staff to gather information...especially Starla. But once he set eyes on her, though, he knew he wanted much more with her. Starla has already had her heart broken badly in the recent past, so she definitely wasn't going to let history repeat itself with this newly hired bartender/bouncer.
This was a good, sexy read, with a great HEA ending for the both of them explained in detail in the extended epilogues.
rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. I loved this book. it was different than what I expected. We meet Cash, a cop who is a single dad ofna daughter who moved closer to his mom. He is giving the opportunity by his Chief for an undercover operation mainly bc he is not known. We meet Starla, a bartender, at the family bar Starlight Lounge. she is having a hard time running the bar with her grandmother Lu since her brother Scott is M.I.A. she knows Scott is involved with smtg shifty but doesn't know what to do. their long time bartender has quit but has a replacement for them.. unbeknownst to them Cash is that replacement. Cash arrives and is tongue-tied by the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. he knows he has a job to do but now has to keep starla and Lu safe. Cash knows Scott is in too deep with the kingpin and needs to get info to stop everything. luckily they do business at the bar after hours. in the mean time cash and starla get closer to one another but starla is waiting for the shoe to drop. what will she think when she learns the truth about cash? will she lose her brother to the bad guys? will cash keep starla safe?
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Another great book from Ms Hart! This one may not have been like her previous Rock Hard books, nonetheless it was a great read. I loved the story of Cash and Starla. He's a single dad on his last undercover job before he gets the desk job he wants so he can focus and be there for his daughter Livvy. Starla is a woman who has stepped up to help her grandmother run her bar since her brother has not been doing his job as the manager. Cash is assigned to pose as a bartender in order to take down a man whom Starla's brother Scott owes money to. Cash and Starla realize early on the attraction each one has to the other. This story was such a great read. I loved how devoted Scott was to his daughter even though he had to be away from her for a bit. Starla's grandmother Lu was a pretty smart woman who knew exactly what was going on. I loved how everything worked out for all in the end. I really enjoyed the extended/bonus epilogue that wrapped up the story so beautifully.
I was hooked from the first page. Cash grabs all of your attention and doesn't let go. He will do anything for his baby girl including moving back home with his mother to help with Livvy. As a police officer, he now wants a desk job so he can be there more for Livvy, now more than ever. He has to take one last assignment to get his desk job. Cash never thought he would meet and instantly fall for the owner's granddaughter, Starla. Working with her at the Starlight Bar. The chemistry between Starla and Cash is too intense to deny. However as the case continues to build, Lu knows he is undercover and outs him to Starla before he has a chance to break the news. Cash has to find a way to keep Starla and Lu around while solving the case and doing what is best for Scott, Starla's brother. Will he be able to mend all fences and introduce Starla to Livvy and build a future with them? The characters are great, they keep you hooked throughout the book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Rye Hart's "Cuff Me Daddy" is a little difficult to put in just one category. Cash and Starla's chemistry was front and center from the first meeting. Starla runs the family bar and knows something is going on that shouldn't be after closing. Cash, an undercover cop, is a good guy from beginning to end, and the suspense of the story shows just that when things go a little haywire. Undercover work is hard, but when you fall in love with someone that doesn't know the whole of the story, it makes it just that much harder. The story is a combination of many things such as, a bit of erotica, sweetness, toughness and tenderness in the sexy hero, romance between the H and h, and just a well written story of a HEA for many in this book. The family dynamics and connections on both sides had a big impact on the story itself. The author did this one proud. If you love sexy hot stories with a bit of erotica, then this is one to pick up. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "Cuff Me Daddy". My opinion is my own. This is mine 4 Stars!
Another great read by Rye Hart and there's nothing more sexier than a cop especially in uniform. Cash has gone undercover at a bar that is owned by Lu, she is the grandmother to Starla and Scott. He needs the bust to get a desk job so he can spend more time with his young daughter. Scott is the one that Cash has to get to know to get his bust but in the meantime he falls for the Starla who does everything at the bar to help her grandma out. As they start to fall for each other and end up together it's only a matter of time before she finds out, especially if he has to arrest her brother who she is protective of. A little surprise near the end when it wasn't who I expected that knew he was undercover. Read and find out who it was. I really enjoyed this short read, it had steamy scenes, a good plot and not too much drama that was drawn out longer than necessary and the ending was perfect for the two. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Genre: Romance - Cop, Single Dad, Suspense Stand-alone: Yes Part of a Series: No POV: Alternating Starla and Cash Steam Level: Quite Toasty 4/5
Cuff Me Daddy was a fun and quick read. I could have finished it in one sitting but I found my mind wandering throughout and I kept getting distracted. I noticed some of the same tropes popping up from Rye Hart's other books, It was just enough for me to notice but not enough to be annoying. There wasn't a lot of Cash's daughter Livvy but what we did see was super cute, especially the mooches. The story of Starla, Scott and Pru was fun and well done. The suspense was done well with what Scott was into and how it played out. Pru was a riot and tough as nails. Overall this was a good book. A nice, steamy romance to escape into for an afternoon.
I received a advanced copy of this book for free from the author and this is my honest, voluntary review.
Rye Hart has outdone herself once more! Cuff me, Daddy is well-written, fast-paced, with characters that are well-developed, a plot with a few twists to keep the suspense going and with a couple with palpable chemistry. It has a HEA in the end and it will hold your attention from page one!
Cash is a single daddy who is chivalrous, hot and packs quite the equipment! Star is a loving / caring person who had to sacrifice a lot for family. I enjoyed a lot Lu's quirky role even though it has a supporting character and we don't know much about her. The scenes with Scott are so well-described, that it's so easy to picture him in the room with you. I got sucked in the story and I could not put the book down.
I voluntary reviewed a free advanced copy of this book. I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. Rye included two bonus epilogues in the book and they are the cherry on top of the pie!
Rye Hart knows how to pen a story that draws you in and keeps your attention until the very last page! Cuff Me Daddy is a hot and suspenseful yet sweet read. Cash is a police officer and single dad. Trying to provide more stability for his daughter Cash agrees to a last field job going undercover as a bartender. Once undercover Cash meets Starla and there is instant attraction between the two. Cash struggles with his undercover role and the feelings he develops for Starla. Once they let their guards down the chemistry between them sizzles. The lines become blurred between what is real and what is pretend. When the truth comes out Starla is hurt. Can she trust Cash? Has everything they've said and done been merely a cover? Will they have their happily ever after? To find out the answers read Cuff Me Daddy! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
One last undercover job and he can have the desk job he needs to be there for his daughter. Starla just wanted to save her brother and have her family back together again. Cash is determined to help her as long as it solves the case. They soon have to work together to save everything. This book is packed with lots of sexiness between Cash and Starla and action with the undercover work. Through it all they fall in love. He makes his decision and tells her it's real, but it may be too late for her. When she learns the truth, she hopes she isn't too late for him. Great things happen to those that follow the law. Another great book by Rye Hart. I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book.
Going undercover always has it's hazards but I think it's put Cash over the cliff. . He takes an under position at the Starlight Bar in hopes of bringing down a drug cartel and securing a promotion to a safe 'desk position' so he will always be there for his young daughter. Talk about drama and suspense at the Starlight Bar, not to mention that he is insanely attracted to the manager who just happens to be the sister of the drug lord he is investigating. . A well written story with great characters, a captivating story line and lots of suspense and drama. You will enjoy this book and find it hard to put down. I received an arc copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I really loved this book! Cash and Starla's story is a journey worth reading. Cash a police officer is going under cover as a bartender. Starla works at her family bar with her grandmother Lu. From the moment Cash met Starla he fell for her and she is attracted to him too. These two had amazing chemistry together but Starla doesn't know Cash is a cop and that he's after her brother and his friends. When Starla finds out about why Cash is really there will it end their relationship? I really like Rye Harts writing, she really knows how to make the story and the characters come to life. This is a sweet, action packed, mystery with plenty of hot sex and romance. Cuff Me Daddy is a must read and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I love Cash, I mean how can you not. He is a cop, loves his daughter and is willing to do anything for her, hot and sexy. Cash is in the process of getting a desk job so he can be there for his daughter when he is asked to go undercover one more time. Starla is working at the family bar, but not by choice. She had to come back and help her grandmother because her brother has gotten into some major trouble. So when a new bartender is hired to help out she is relieved. Not only is he a big help behind the bar and with the fights, but he is great on the eyes. When it comes out that Cash is a cop and after her brother, these two have a lot to talk about. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** This book was hot! Cash is an undercover cop who just got full custody of his little girl Livvy and moved them from Dallas to Atlanta to be near his mom so she could help him with raising his daughter. Starla is a bartender/manager in her grandmother's bar the Starlight and is focused on her family which includes her brother Scott and her grandmother Lu. Cash is brought in to work the bar undercover because there has been talk that Scott has started working with a very dangerous crime boss named Kings. Starla and Cash are immediately attracted to each other and begin a very hot and steamy relationship. I can't wait for the next book by Rye.
I really liked the police action in this book. Great romance between Cash, who is working undercover in Starla's bar and Starla the owner. Cash needs this one last undercover job so he can get transferred to a desk job. With a little daughter to take care of, he had to play it safe. Starla's brother has gotten himself into trouble with the wrong guys and now they want to use the family bar to do drug and gun running. But what happens when Cash and Starla find a mutual attraction and are falling in love with each other? Cash has to continue the lie, but can he protect Starla, and her grandmother and get her brother out of his mess without someone getting killed and Starla forgiving him for lying to her? Nice easy read, flows real well.
Starla Jones works hard. She's given up some plans to help her grandmother, Lu, run her bar. He brother Scott is supposed to be helping, but he's into something dangerous and all he's doing is giving them worry. Then the AC breaks and their head bartender quits suddenly.
